I don't think I'll be alive for much longer. So many people that I could've still helped. So.... many more that needed it.

"Doctor, is he.... going to be alright?" A female voice asks.

"His heart is on the edge of stopping. We've been trying different things for half an hour straight. It might be time to.... Let him pass." A male voice explains.

"Dude, If you can hear me. Thanks.... For saving our daughter. I'll never forget what you've done for us." Another male voice says.

'I hear you. You don't need to thank me. It's what I lived to do.... Help others.' I think to myself.

"Doctor.... I'd like to thank him before he goes.... Is that okay?" A girl asks.

"Of course." The first male voice answers.

I can hear footsteps coming towards me. They come to a stop right next to me.

"Thank you for saving me.... You're a stranger yet you gave your life to save me.... I should've been paying attention. I should never have been on that road. You should still be alive.... I'm sorry." The girls voice says wavering every few words.

A few seconds later I feel a pair of soft lips press gently press against my cheek, a second later the lips leave my cheek.

"I can't give you anything as thanks.... I'm sorry." I hear her sniffle.

"Normally if my daughter kissed a guy in front of me I'd be pissed off.... If it's you though dude. I think I would've been fine with it." The second male voice says.

"You can pull the plug now doctor.... I.... I don't want to talk to him. I owe him too much and I just don't have the heart to say goodbe to him...." The womans voice says.

"Understo......"

All I feel is a coldness rush through my body. I feel like I've been frozen.

"Open your eyes."

I open them and I'm immediately blinded by a bright light.

"You have a choice. Not many people have helped as many people as you. Now someone like you gets a choice."

"What's my choice?" I ask.

"You can either go to heaven and relax, or you can continue helping others. If you choose to go to heaven you'll be able to relax for the rest of eternity. Choose to continue helping others and you'll be put onto a different world. There won't be any humans there but there will be creatures there who need help just as much as a human would. You'll recognise these creatures as ponies, but they aren't like the ones you know from earth. These ponies talk like humans and have sentience like a human. Now, decide."

"That's the easiest choice I've ever been given. I exist to help, it's my being. I'm going to the other world and I'll help them. I'll help them all." I answer.

"I didn't expect anything less from you. Now then. Goodbye Josh."

"Goodbye." I say with a slight smile.

Everything fades to darkness.

"It's coming too. Get the princess!" A male voice commands.

"Yes Doctor." A female voice replies.

I open my eyes. I'm in a hospital room. The white walls, roof and curtains all blend together. I look down at my body and see that my body is covered by a blue sheet.

"Welcome back. Now don't worry I know why you're here. Princess Celestia told me that you'll be a great help to the people of Ponyville. But you must promise me one thing." A male voice explains.

"What's that?" I ask as I look towards the voice.

A pony with a yellow coat and brown mane stands next to me with a serious expression on his face.

"Look after your own health." He says in a stern tone.

"Sure." I reply.

"Good. Now you should be ready to leave the hospital. We didn't take any of your clothes off since we knew what was wrong with you. Celestia gave us all the infomation we needed. Now if you wouldn't mind leaving, we need to make sure that we have a bed ready in case of an emergency." The Pony says with a nod.

"Okay." I groan as I climb out of the bed.

As I stand up my legs feel mostly nimb.

"Why do my legs feel numb?" I ask as I try to keep my balance.

"You where dead.... Of course a bit of you is going to be numb." The doctor jokes.

"A bit of a stupid question." I chuckle.

I stand for a second and let feeling come back to my legs.

"Hurry now. I don't want you to be in the way." The doctor sighs.

"Alright." I mumble as I take a deep breath.

I stumble my way out of the room.

"Ah! There you are Josh. Allow me to welcome you to Equestria." A large white pony with wings and a horn with a calm motherly voice says.

"I recognise that voice. Are you the thing that talked to me after I died?" I ask as I stop in my tracks.

"Yes, that was me. I am the one who brought you here. I've given about 240 people the offer to come help here. Martlin Luther King Junior was one of the few. He was an important person on your planet was he not?" The large white pony asks.

"Yeah. He helped race relations. Without him who knows how earth would be like." I smile.

"He was left in limbo for a long time.... A shame.... I should've been quicker but I had been busy dealing with others and trying to keep my lands running the way they should. By the time I got to him his wound had caused him so much pain that I decided to let him rest. I immediately sent him to heaven and gave him a long deserved rest..... But you. I was quick enough to get you. You had been in Limbo for a total of 3 days, unlike Martin Luther King Junior.... He was there for 30 years." Celestia finishes with a heavy sigh.

"I might not be as influential as him but I can give it my all. He had his speeches which changed the most of the world, all I have is my body. I'm not very good at making speeches and probably never will, but I can still use what I've got to do what I can for this place." I reassure the white pony.

"Thank you Josh. Even someone like me needs a bit of reassurance. I can already tell you'll help us. You'll help us more then you'd ever expect. Now then I believe I better introduce myself. My name is Princess Celestia but you can just call me Celestia. In fact I'd prefer it if you did just call me Celestia." She says with a smile.

"Nice to meet you Celestia. I owe you a lot for this oppurtunity to help others again." I say with a bow.

"There's no need to bow to me Josh. I'm looking out for my little ponies. Your life won't be easy. I won't be able to help you neither will my sister. Imagine it like earth. You need to earn everything you'll have. I must be going now, I have some friends for you that I think you'll get along with just fine. They'll be waiting for you at the front door of the hospital, don't leave them waiting too long." Celestia says as she dissapears in a bright flash.

'It's going to take a while to get used to that.... Well.... Let's go meet my new friends.'

I walk down the hallway towards the front entrance of the hospital.w

"Excuse me Josh! You need to sign out over here." A nurse at a desk calls to me with a wave.

I apologise as I jog over to the desk and sign my name and the time I'm leaving on a piece of paper. She gives me a quick 'Thanks' before she continues with some work. I walk back towards the front entrance door and I'm met by six colourful ponies.

"Ah, this must be Josh now. Pinkie try not to scare him, he has a few.... issues...." A purple pony explains to a pink one.

"Scare him? I only want to say hi to him!" The Pink pony replies with a pout. "Hi Josh! How are you? How's your body? Is it good? I bet it's good. It's good right?"

"I'm fine don't worry about me." I answer nervously.

"Ah gotta say.... He's not exactly what I had pictured when Celestia explained him to us...." A southern voice comes from an orange pony with a stetson on it's head.

"Ooo. I love southern accents." I say with a smile.

"Uh.... Thank ya?" The orange pony answers with a confused look.

"A real charmer isn't he? I think I'm going to like him." A white unicorn says with a smile.

"Ah. The voice of class. I never got to really hear one besides in movies but it's nice to hear one in real life."

"I can't tell if he's being nice or flirting with us...." The white unicorn says with an awkward fake smile.

"Ah don't really wanna know." The orange one responds.

"I'm not flirting with you.... Jeez it's been less then a minute since I met you...."

"Ignore Rarity. She likes to.... Dream of romance and a knight in armour whisking her away to.... Where ever. Oh and by the books I've found his armour isn't the only thing she want's him being in." A blue pony with a rainbow mane and tail giggles.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The white pony says as she covers the blue one's mouth with her hooves. "Ignore her."

"Um.... Hi...." A small yellow pony mumbles.

"Why hello there. I can tell that you're a little shy so I won't force you to talk to me. I used to know someone who was incredibly nervous and it would stress her out, so I won't force you to talk." I say with a smile.

The yellow one stares at it's tail with a blush.

"I guess it comes to me to introduce everyone.... The orange pony is AppleJack, The white unicorn is Rarity, The rainbow pegasus is Rainbow Dash, The very shy yellow pegasus is Fluttershy, The pink pony is Pinkie Pie and I am Twilight Sparkle. We'll be your friends while you're here with us." A purple pony with wings and a horn.

"Right.... I'll do my best to remember." I mumble as I scratch my cheek.

"Are you ready to see the town?" Twilight Sparkle asks.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I answer with a nod.

"Now. Before we go you'll need to decide who you'll be staying with until you get your own house. We don't want you sleeping in the streets so it's best decide now so we can show you that place first." Twilight Sparkle explains.

"Ah okay.... Well.... I guess I'll stay with....."

Who should he stay with? You get to decide! The person who he is voted to stay with will change the future of the story as well as some other future choices that I'll leave to you guys.
