Big Macintosh is just a simple farm pony living on the outskirts of the small town of Ponyville. He lives with his two sisters, his paternal grandmother, and (recently) maternal grandfather. For the most part, Big Macintosh, of Big Mac as most ponies call him, he’s had a regular life as an apple farmer; however, his life would start to change when he meets some pony that became the apple of his eye.

The next morning, Big Mac is tasked with taking a huge order of apples to a small town a few miles away from Ponyville, so he had to take the truck with him to get there. According to the order form sent, the apples are meant to be delivered to some pony by the name of Sugar Belle. Apparently, she needs all these apples in order to do a few experiments for a dessert menu that she is working on.

A few hours later, he arrives at the address of the pony and knocks on the front door first, before noticing the “We are open” sign and decides to head in with one of the loads of apples meant to be delivered. He calls out to let Sugar Belle know that he’s here and that he has the apples as ordered. He then hears a voice saying that she will be down in a few minutes and said to wait downstairs for her. Big Mac waited for a few minutes for Sugar Belle to come downstairs, but then he heard a scream from upstairs and ran up in case she needed help.

When he arrived upstairs, he finds Sugar Belle on the ground in a bath towel and noticing her toe is bleeding. At the same time Sugar Belle is a bit embarrassed since some pony is seeing her practically naked (since she is only wearing a towel at the moment). Big Mac was a little surprised too, but since he noticed that she was hurt he asked her if she had any bandade; Sugar Belle said that she has some in her cabinet.

As soon as Big Mac got a bandade, he placed it on Sugar Belle’s toe (where the bleeding is); he also turned away from her since he knew it wasn’t appropriate to see her almost naked like that.

“Thank you. I was getting ready to come down, but one of my floor boards came up unexpectedly and I accidentally stubbed my toe on it.”

“Your welcome. However, it was wrong of me to barge in like that when you’re not decent.”

“Well I did scream too loud when it was just a scratch. I appreciate you coming up to help me and all, but could you leave my room so I can get change.”

“Of course.”

Big Mac left the room so Sugar Belle could get changed. After she got changed, she headed downstairs to sign for the apple delivery confirmation form and Big Mac took the apples to a big fridge in Sugar Belle’s store room. She explained that she hopes to get started on some apple treats that she’s been hoping to work on and sell after she’s gotten them right. Before he left, Big Mac noticed that Sugar Belle had another loose floorboard. Sugar Belle said that she really needs to get some pony to fix these loose floorboards soon, otherwise it’s going to be a safety hazard; however, she’s not sure if she can afford someone to fix theme since she’s been saving up to have a bigger shelf for all of her deserts. Big Mac offered to fix the loose floorboards for her since he dabbles in carpentry and usually fixes loose floorboards at his house. Sugar Belle said that he didn’t have to do that, but Big Mac insisted since he did barge into her room and saw her in a compromising manner in the first place anyway and wants to make up for it by doing this; he even said it would be free of charge. Sugar Belle decided to take up Big Mac on this offer since she really did need these loose floorboards taken care of.

The next day, when he had some free time, he stopped by Sugar Belle’s place to help with the loose floorboards in her bakery downstairs and her room upstairs. Other than the ones that he already knew about, Big Mac would find any other possible loose floorboards and fix them up. While he was working, Sugar Belle would either help with customers or work on her apple treat experiments. After a few hours of work, Big Mac had finally finished. Sugar Belle then offered Big Mac to have some tea and treats with her for all of his hard work for her. The treats that they are eating are some of her new apple treats that she’s hoping to start selling if they become a hit. Big Mac tells her they almost taste like some of the apple treats that his Granny would sometimes make for him and his sisters. Sugar Belle thanked him since she’s been experimenting with apple treats lately in order to move away from simply baking muffins and she wants to enter one of her experiments into a competition.

Later that afternoon, Big Mac is about to leave and head back home; Sugar Belle is outside to see him off.

“Thanks for coming all this way to fix all those loose floorboards for me, Big Mac.”

“No problem. If there are any more problems with those loose floorboards again, let me know and I’ll come right back and fix them up again.”

“Thank you, but you know I wouldn’t mind seeing you again sooner than that.”

“Oh, really.”

“Yeah, I would really like to get to know you better.”

“Ok, I would like to get to know you better too.”

“Here’s my number. Bye.”

After giving Big Mac her cell phone number and a kiss on the cheek, he got in his truck and headed back home, but he was completely love-struck after that kiss from Sugar Belle. Even when he got home, he was completely love-struck by Sugar Belle’s beauty, kindness, and her cooking and didn’t even bother to talk to his family about his day. All he could think about is Sugar Belle and how he intends on seeing her again as soon as possible.
