She discovers and ancient tablet one day while playing with her friend Octavia and its starts to glow, upon inspection of the Jarl's wizard she is told that she has the almighty power of the "wubs" in her veins and that she is belongs to a long dead race of ponies called… DJs, and so Vinyl and Octavia set out to find Vinyl's true calling, to master the "winds of wub."
