Chapters The school bell rang loudly, signifying that spring break has commenced. Everyone came walking out of the school rapidly, talking about their plans. Though some might not be too lucky on theirs, Applejack and her friends are by the school’s statue hanging out.
“So, what are you girls going to do this spring break?” Sunset asked her friends. “I’m going to Equestria so I can hang out with Twilight. It’s been a long time since I saw Starlight and I want to know her more about her time with Twilight.”
“Seems like Starlight really loves to hang out with you.” Rainbow Dash called.
“Yeah, she told me that she’s taking Sunburst so I can meet him. It’s going to be a very long break for me.”
“I’m probably going to stay here because my parents have no plans for our family. We might have a family dinner but that’s it.” Fluttershy explained her plans.
“I also don’t have any plans at all. I’m probably going to be alone with no one to hang out with.” Rarity explained. In fact, she and Pinkie didn't have any plans themselves.
“What about your Shadowbolt friends you’ve been around with lately?” Twilight asked.
“They're going to be on a field trip because Crystal Prep made them to do an assessment.”
“Well, that’s sad. Crystal Prep always does that to me.” Twilight replied.
“I also got nothing to do this weekend.” Pinkie sobbed, hugging Fluttershy. “Worst of all, I got nothing - nothing at all for this break.”
“Maybe we should hang out at my place. I can make you more beautiful dresses if you want.” Rarity gave off a suggestion for herself, Pinkie, and Fluttershy.
“Great idea.” Pinkie cheered.
“I guess it sounds nice.” Fluttershy added.
“Me, Twilight and Juniper are going to the Rainbow Falls amusement park.” Rainbow Dash boasted confidently.
“We want to make Juniper feel better since she’s still having a hard time fitting in with us. Her father wants her to do right things with people.” Twilight added.
“Which is why we’re going to have a great time with Juniper.”
“Well,” Sunset said. “You two really want to make her life better.”
“Of course we are. Hopefully she will change when we come back.” Twilight finished. The only person who didn’t explain what their going to do is Applejack.
“Applejack, Are you still going to stay here?” Fluttershy said.
“Actually, I’m actually going to Appleloosa to meet my parents, along with my sister, my brother and Granny Smith. It’s been a very long time since I met my parents and Appleloosa is about one whole day away.”
“It’s that far away?” Rarity asked.
“Yes. Sometimes I really miss my family, and this is a rare occasion for me and my family to go there. I’m sorry but I don’t a lot of time to explain more. I really need to go. Goodbye!” Applejack immediately walked away because she really needs to pack up to get ready for her trip.
“I’m guessing Applejack really wants to see her parents. I mean, she can’t wait for a full twenty four hours.” Twilight said.
“Well, families are sometimes more important than friends.” Sunset replied. “I’m sure when she comes back, we should be as excited to see her.”
While everyone said goodbye to each other, Applejack continued to go back to her home. By the time she headed for the front yard, Big Mac and the others were all set to go to Appleloosa.
“I’m here!” Applejack shouted. “Don’t worry! I have my luggage all set.”
“Don’t worry about that sis. I put your luggage in the truck.” Big Mac replied.
“Thank you.” Applebloom then saw her big sister as she runs up to her and hugs her tightly.
“You're finally here!” She cheered.
“Wow! Sugarcube,” She smiled. “You just couldn't wait for your first trip to Appleloosa?”
“You bet I am!”
“Okay, everybody.” Granny Smith said as she walked out of the garage. “I really hope we have a great time in Appleloosa. Let's get into the truck.”
Everyone peered inside and got on the truck while the engine was running. In no time at all, Big Mac drove on the road crossing from town to city.Halfway in, Applejack eventually fell asleep. She dreamt of the day of meeting her parents in person since she never saw them even once. The only time that happened was when she was a baby, but she never had a photo of her with them. Hopefully, her dreams become a reality.
The Apple kin has finally made it to Appleloosa - a small but safety city with bunch of cowgirls and cowboys. Applejack was still asleep, but it wasn’t until Appleboom woke her up.
“Applejack! Wake up! We’re here!” Applebloom said.
“Oh my gosh... we made it!” She cheered as she looked out her truck window, seeing lots of her old friends. She even saw her cousin Braeburn, who has been sitting on the bench, waiting to see her. As soon as Big Mac parked his truck, Applejack came out and walked towards her cousin with a hug.
“Braeburn!” She happily greeted.
“Applejack! Man you look way better after all these years!” he replied as the two hugged. After all the years of being away from each other, they finally reunited, just for now.
“Thanks! This is the best vacation I ever had!”
“But we just got here...” Applebloom said with a raised eyebrow.
“I know, but I so happy right now.” she replied with joy. While Applejack gathered her luggage, she woke up Granny Smith. who was also sleeping most of the time.
“A-Are we there yet?” She said as she's waking up.
“Yes, we are.” Applejack reminded her. As everyone grabbed their bags from the back, a cowboy name Pumpkin Sweet accidentally bumped into her, which caused her to drop her luggage.
“Ow!” Applejack winced in pain. “You know, you really need to be careful next time.”
“I’m sorry! it’s just that my eyes are-” He cut himself when his eyes first laid on Applejack. He never meet someone so hot and sweet in his life.
“I… I… I…” He tried to speak but his eyes are stuck to the hot farmgirl. He falls in love with her to the point he tries to introduce himself to her.
“I’m… Pump…. I’M!..... Pumpkin Sweet! I live here in Appleloosa and I never saw anyone like you.” He tried to lift is hand up for a handshake, and she shook his hand gently. Applejack was okay with Pumpkin’s behavior since he seemed harmless and kind of respectful.
“Well, it’s an honor to meet ya, Pumpkin. Say, you wouldn't mind bringin’ my luggage to my room?” She asked. Once she gave him her supplies, Pumpkin quickly put in some effort to lift. Little did she knew that Big Mac saw what was going on and walked up to Applejack.
“Applejack, why are you letting this stranger helping you? You don’t even know him.”
“I’m actually in a very great mood today, and when someone's new to this city, we should respect him or her. ‘Sides, he seems pretty lonely, and he’s willin’ ta fit in like all of us.”
She walked back up to Pumpkin as she led him to her room. “Do you have any plans for the week?”
“Not much.”
“How ‘bout you come hang out with us?”
Granny Smith then put her hand on Applejack's shoulder from behind. “Applejack, I know you're trying to be nice to him, but you just met him.”
“It’s okay. I just really miss my parents so much!” She shrugged.
“Calm down Applejack, we won't be seein’ your parents until tomorrow mornin’. It’s 8:00 tonight, and there's no time to do anythin’.”
Applejack felt disappointed, but not much. “Well, is it okay that he can take my things up to my room?”
“I’m sorry, but maybe tomorrow you can get to hang out with him.”
Applejack turned around to Pumpkin and took her luggage from him. “I’m sorry ‘bout that, but how bout tomorrow?”
She gave him her phone number and her home address. “I promise I won’t forget ya.”
“Okay. that's fine.” Pumpkin nodded. He was in relief that he didn’t get embarrassed, but also sad that he didn’t get the chance to know her at that moment. As soon as he was about to walk away, he hid behind one of the vehicles and took out a list for him to write down.
“So… How am I going to impress her?” He asked to himself.
When Applejack moved into her room in the house, she took a deep breath and smelled the aroma. It was indeed nice to see herself in her native home after all this time. Then again, it would be for only the summer until otherwise. Suddenly, Applebloom came in with Big Mac.
“Applejack.” Big Mac called.
“Yes?”
“I know I told you this minutes ago, but it’s about this boy you met - Pumpkin Sweet. Do you ever feel weird that he….” Big Mac paused for a second.
“He’s what?” Applejack replied. Big Mac couldn't finish his words, but Applebloom decided to fill in.
“He has a crush on you.” Applebloom completed her brother’s sentence, with her sister showing an oblivious face.
“Look, I never had a boyfriend in my life, and no one but him has a crush on me. ‘Sides, I’m just being nice to him. He may be a little shy, but he’s still mature enough to wait for us to hang out tomorrow.”
“Well yeah, but don’t you think he’s not your type?” Big Mac asked.
“Well… He’s cute, but I don’t think I really want to be his girlfriend. I’m just not into the whole “love” thing.”
Big Mac and Applebloom sighed with relief. “Oh thank goodness. It’s just that... I think that he might be one of those bad western cowboys.”
Applejack paused from going upstairs to her room with her luggage. “Wait? What are you talking about?”
Big Mac took out his phone and showed her sister images of some “villainous and wanted men. “When I was about to get my luggage, I checked my phone, hopin’ it wasn’t low on battery. And then, I saw that there might be people causing crimes in small towns, and they even stole citizens who live there. They do that because they want more information on the next town their headin’.”
Applejack felt a little concurred about what she saw. “Oh man! Why does stuff like this sometimes happen even when we're on vacation? Appleloosa never had a problem like this in ten years because of security and police officers.”
“Well, they have a hideout so they have a better chance on their next crime.”
“I’m really scared!” Applebloom scared to death as she’s by Big Mac’s leg.
“We’re going to be okay.” Big Mac said.
“I don’t know Big Mac. I mean, I’m concurred that my cousins or family members get kidnapped. If there's anything that's really important then my best friends, it’s family.” She looked at Applebloom and Big Mac in a lovely honest look to show her respect. She then moved upstairs to her room with her luggage in her hands.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure things will be back to normal when we see your parents.” Big Mac replied.
A Full Day With Pumpkin Sweet
Once the alarm clock gone off, Applejack awoke in the nick of time and stopped it. Afterwards, she made her way downstairs to meet with her folks, but neither Big Mac or Applebloom were anywhere. Indeed, it was her first day in Appleloosa, but it wasn't expected to be like that for her.
“Big Mac? Applebloom?” She called. There was no answer. It wasn't long before she came across a piece a paper on the refrigerator. She walked up to the paper and begins to read,
“Dear Applejack,
Me and Applebloom headed for the grocery store, and we'll probably going to be away for awhile to gather more supplies for our family reunion. I know how much you want to meet your parents, but we'll be back as soon as possible.
To your brother and sister,
“Well, looks like I have time to meet more of my cousins.” She said to herself, feeling a bit lucky. She also remembered the time she met Pumpkin Sweet yesterday. As she put her boots on, she opened the door and walked down the front yard.
“I really wanna make Pumpkin feel happy in Appleloosa. I should show him who I really am just to show him I’m not into boys.” Applejack thought to herself. It was then she came across Pumpkin Sweet walking on the sidewalk.
“Hey Pumpkin!” She waved.
Pumpkin stopped in shocked after hearing his name called. He did had a crush on her, but he didn’t wanted to hang out with her just in an instant.
“H… h… h… Hiiii…” he stuttered. “Look I know…. You told me we can hang out today but… but…”
He still stuttered in fear right in front of Applejack, but she started to explain her new plans for today. Him being stared by her pretty much put him at a stumble for words.
“Here’s the thing: I was supposed to have some family time with my brother and sister, but they went shopping, and my grandma said to me that she was gonna meet her old friends - She always does this when she leaves the house. So, I think that maybe we should hang out together and pass the time.”
Pumpkin was more nervous than ever. However, he refused to leave because a once in a lifetime opportunity with his crush was at hand. Applejack noticed the pressure in his face, and decided to stay friendly.
“So… do you wanna hang out with me?” She asked.
“Yes!” He shouted abruptly, but paused, taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Applejack reacted to it, but giggled.
“Great! How ‘bout we go and meet my cousin Braeburn? He really needs help with his farm and stuff.”
“Sure. I mean, if that's not a problem at all...” He accepted. Pumpkin was relieved that he was hanging out with Applejack without all that pressure, but he didn't realize that Applejack was only being friendly, and nothing more.
Moments later, they made their way to Braeburn’s farm. Applejack sought him from afar, doing some heavy farm work.
“Howdy, Braeburn!” She called.
“Well howdy, Applejack.” he greeted back. “Who’s with ya?”
Applejack introduced Pumpkin to her cousin. “My family is away for today, so I decided to hang out with him right now. Do you need any help?”
Breaburn nodded. “Why not?”
Afterwards, he turned to his cousin. “Is Pumpkin your boyfriend?”
Applejack retorted, despite Pumpkin’s blushing heavily in shock. “He ain't my boyfriend!”
“Oh it’s okay. Tell ya what, why don’t you and him do some of our work?” he replied. Applejack decided to be serious and have a personal talk with him.
Braeburn turned to Pumpkin. “Can you come with me in my house? Pumpkin Sweet, it will be very sweet if you do all the chores for me, startin’ with some of those dishes in the kitchen.”
“Oh, I can take care of everything.” Pumpkin responded and headed for the kitchen. While he was setting up and washing, Applejack and Braeburn then headed out to the field and started their conversation in soft voices.
“Look, I’m not just messin’ around him at all. I only wanted him to feel happy with me.”
“Seriously?” Braeburn raised an eyebrow. “I think it would've been great to have met somebody like him. I mean, you never had a boyfriend in your life.”
Applejack lightly argued. “I’m not like that, okay? I just came here just to enjoy my time here with the folks. ’Sides, I don’t think he’s really that good enough to impress. For one, he bumped into me, so he probably must’ve had eye problems, and second, he looked a little jumpy when he was close to me.”
Braeburn shrugged. “Boys like him always feel that way. And, I don't think he has eye problems. It's just that he wants to make sure he’s not embarrassed in front of you. Some people think that glasses don’t get girls their attention on them these days.”
“Nevermind. Anyway, you still think I have a crush on him?”
“Maybe. Like I said, It would’ve been nice.” he answered.
“I’m sorry, but sooner or later I’m going to tell him that I don’t love him like that.”
By the time she came back inside of the house, she was shocked that Pumpkin did all of Braeburn’s house chores.
“Oh... hey, Applejack! I did all the chores so you don’t have to do anything.” He panted. Applejack started to feel nervous, thinking he’s trying too hard to impress her.
“What am I going to say to him?” She sighed to herself.
For the next four hours, Pumpkin Sweet tried his best to impress Applejack, who felt absolutely bored. He once paid for everything instead of letting her do it when they were in town, and he even cleaned the dirt off of the bottom of her boots after riding on some of the animals. Now, they were at an apple cider store. Apparently, Applejack decided to not wait anymore and tell him the truth about her feelings towards him. It was then they received two apple ciders from the waiter, who then billed them four dollars. Unfortunately, Pumpkin realized that he spent all that money until he was broke.
“Oh wait... I don’t have any money left.” he checked his empty pockets.
“That’s okay. I can take care of that.” Applejack insisted. She then took four dollars out of her wallet and was about to pay up, but Pumpkin paused her.
“Actually... I have a better idea! Is it okay that I can take a job here?” he asked. Applejack and the waiter stared at him in a awkward look.
“Do you really need to work here just for four dollars?”
“Of course.” he answered. But, Applejack said otherwise.
“No no no. Just accept my four dollars.” She handed the waiter her four dollars assertively before turning to Pumpkin. “We need to have a serious talk.”
“Okay.” he nodded as the two drink their cider. After walking out to the dusk, Applejack led him to an alleyway filled with Apple boxes. She then placed her hand onto his shoulder, and took a deep breath.
“Pumpkin, today was as boring than I expected. I get your trying to be nice, but when you thought about getting a job at that store for just four dollars, that's just way over the limit!”
“...oh…” Pumpkin lowered his head until she lifted it up back to her eyes.
Applejack had to know something out of him. “Pumpkin, I really need to know this: Do you have a crush on me?”
Pumpkin’s body vibrated lightly, gaining blush before answering. “Yeee…. Yeeeeee……. YES!”
“That explains…” she sighed before continuing to talk to him, being kind as she could.
“I appreciated that you did everything for me today but…. I still don’t have a crush on you like that. I’m not saying this to hurt your feelings, but I’m saying this because I’m always honest. I mean, I’m really never had a boyfriend in my life because I’m not into boys. I found them trying, but at the same time annoying. Do you have any idea how many boys give me chocolate at Valentine's day to impress me last month?”
Pumpkin felt a little heart broken after hearing Applejack’s words, but speechless as she continued her story. He shook his head, having no idea.
“A lot! So much that I don’t think it could get any tedious for me. Now, I get your a nice person, and this day wasn’t bad, but it’s still boring for me. Do you really think I like getting this type of respect? I rather could’ve gone to meet my old friends and do what I love.”
Pumpkin lowered his head in light tears after listening to her. He couldn't say anything else because of Applejack’s words of honesty. “Applejack… I'm sorry. It just that... I’ve always wanted to have a girlfriend...”
Applejack tried to cheer him up, but couldn't help seeing him feel empty. “Why can’t you move on? Love isn’t always something that can make your life better all the time...”
It was then Braeburn shouted as he ran as fast as he could until he saw his cousin. “APPLEJACK! Your family has been kidnapped!”
“WHAT?” Applejack screeched.
Moments later, they ran back to Applejack’s place as fast as possible. By the time they got into the house, shockingly there was nothing out of the ordinary. Every piece of of furniture was still undamaged, unharmed. Confusingly enough, no one had the hall to have robbed anything off.
“But... this doesn’t make sense. If my family has been kidnapped, then why is everything so-” she paused. It wasn't long before she turned, and saw the basement door busted. She quickly ran to see the basement downstairs, then paused to see the stairs covered in footprints. The door window was broken into pieces, along with some of the furniture being flipped over.
“Oh my gosh! This is so terrible!” she cried before turning to the letter that was hanging on the refrigerator. “They must've forced Big Mac to write that letter to me!”
She then ran back upstairs, while Braeburn and Pumpkin were still looking at the crisis that happened.
“Is my grandma still okay?” Braeburn asked.
“Yes, but she’s hiding in one of her old friend’s houses. She could be in danger, though.” Applejack replied out of slight panic until her eyes widened. “I have to go find Granny Smith!”
“But, what about your brother and sister?” Braeburn uttered. “And… I also heard that your parents are with them!”
“WHAT?!” Applejack screamed in shock, turning to her cousin. “How did you know this?”
It was bad enough that her family was now in a dire predicament, but she now knew that her parents weren't in Appleloosa. Aside of that, Braeburn took out some of the wanted papers he saw on the building walls. “It reads, as of now, that they kidnapped almost all of the adults in Appleloosa.”
“Wait? You mean to tell me that all the adults in Appleloosa have been kidnapped?” Applejack asked harshly out of shock.
“Yes! Soursore had it all planned out...”
“Oh no... not Soursore!” Pumpkin chimed in. “He’s the worst cowboy in the whole city. What are we going to do?”
Braeburn tried to think of an idea. “I don’t know. I just don’t know where their hideout probably is.”
Applejack came into tears, landing on her knees with her hands on her face. She cried that her vacation turned into a disaster in a matter of days ever since she came to Appleloosa.
“We’re no match for Soursore. I just wanted a normal and fun vacation here. Without my friends, I’ll probably be like my sister and brother right now. And now….my parents are gone!” She walked out the building, sobbing. Braeburn decided to sit down on the couch, having no idea to save the Apple family, and was feeling bad for his cousin. Meanwhile, Pumpkin had an idea all his own.
“Braeburn, can you give me a map?” Pumpkin walked up to him.
“Pumpkin, get over it, Applejack doesn't love you.” Braeburn pushed his idea out to the side.
“It doesn't matter to me!” Pumpkin argued, pacing around.
“Well, there's still no way to stop Soursore? Do ya realize that the man’s dangerous? You could die in an instant, even if you find his hideout somewhere.” Braeburn acted out of panic.
“Maybe I can get back up...” Pumpkin thought.
“What back up? Almost all the police were out of town trying to find Soursore’s hideout.”
Pumpkin’s stress got worse, despite the fact that he had to face the facts that Applejack doesn't love him like he thought. Then again, he still wanted to make his life worth living. After all, he has a long way to go when it comes to having a girlfriend, but at times like this, being a hero would be considered the only option.
“I know I have to move on, but if I’m going to do that, I should at least do something right, even if it means risking my own life. No matter how difficult it is in this case, Applejack still deserves to be happy with her family, and I'm willing to make sure that happens!”
As Pumpkin ran out of the building with pride, Braeburn watched him and facepalmed both of his hands to his head with a sigh.
“Good lord, I could see it now: Here lies Pumpkin Sweet - a sucker for love in the hands of death.”
The Abandoned Hotel In The Desert
Pumpkin Sweet walked in the middle of the desert, despite having no map or any help. The only things he bring is his water and snacks. Knowing his luck, he would regret taking on a criminal cowboy, and saving his friend’s family. But, doing nothing would mean worst.
“Man, it's gonna take me days to find Applejack’s family. I can understand he doesn’t love me, but she doesn’t deserves a sad life...” he said to himself. Out of nowhere, several riding horseback cowfolks swooped and surrounded Pumpkin. He freaked out, and tried his best to either fight back or escape, but it was too late. The riders got off of their horses, approaching to their prey before quick-drawing their pistols at him. One of their horses were comfortably carrying a large cage.
“Hands up, vermin! Don't make us shoot your brain out, cuz we'll do it!” one of them shouted. “You’re coming with us now.”
The threats from the gunslingers struck fear into Pumpkin’s mind. As a result, he stood idle in fear, while they tied his hands to his back with rope. Then, they pushed him into a large cage. As soon as they closed it shut, they hollered loudly before getting back on their horses.
The hideout, which happened to be a ln abandoned hotel, by a cliff, with horses surrounding the place. They pulled Pumpkin out of his cage, and grabbed both of his arms, and dragged him out. By the time they entered the building, Pumpkin saw all the cowfolks staring at him with dirty looks. As if things wouldn't strike fear into his heart, he has come across the main cowboy of the whole operation.
Soursore was the largest among the other cowfolks all around him. He walked up to Pumpkin with a threatening screech to his voice. “I’m surprised to see a squirmin’ varmint set his parts around here. I'm Soursore, the most dangerous cowboy in the desert.
He came closer to Pumpkin, holding a miniature knife. “Now, you listen here, coward! All I want is the piece, no no no! I want my hands on the whole damn town of Appleloosa, and I got the power, and the posse to prove it. You know why? Don't ask why! And, I especially will never go back to jail again - just you wait! And as for you and everyone else, you’ll have to do everything as I say!”
Pumpkin held his breath. “You're really ruthless!”
“Get used to it, bitch boy. Take him to one of the apartments - make him feel right home!” Soursore ordered. The cowboys then dragged Pumpkin into one of the empty apartments.

“Enjoy your stay!” The accomplices laughed. They pushed him into the room and locked the door.
Pumpkin got back onto his feet, and approached the hard door. Leaning in failure, he lowered his head down before turning around. To his dismay, he saw Applebloom and Big Mac.
“Hey, it’s that cowboy who loves my sister!” Applebloom pointed. Pumpkin felt bittersweet than happy that he found Applejack’s brother and sister.
Big Mac was confused about how Pumpkin got here. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m here to save you… or at least I was…” Pumpkin replied. “And please don’t talk about my crush on Applejack, I know she doesn't want me.”
“Okay... Well, how are we going to get out of here?” Applebloom asked.
Pumpkin answered. “I don’t know. Applejack was worried about her grandma, and gone out.”
Pumpkin sat down on the floor, completely helpless about the situation he has thrown himself in. Suddenly, two people came out of their bedroom after hearing him talking to Applejack’s family. Surprisingly enough, Applebloom and Big Mac saw their kinfolk for the first time in a long time. As for Pumpkin, he was confused that there was indeed more people in this apartment.
“Who was that?” The orange girl said while another person with red hair came with her.
“Yeah, I needed some sleep after all the work I did today.” the red-haired man followed.
“Who are you? Are you one of those citizens in Appleloosa?”
“Of course! We’ve been here for ten long years.” she replied.
“Ten years!?” Pumpkin repeated in shock.
The woman nodded. “Soursore ruined our lives when he kidnapped us. And now, Applejack probably knows that we're in this hotel.”
“Wait, you know Applejack?” Pumpkin asked until Big Mac walked up to him.
“Pumpkin, these are Applejack’s parents.”
“I’m Pear Butter, and this is my husband Bright Mac.” the girl and man introduced themselves.
Pumpkin was halfway thrilled. “Oh my gosh, Applejack hasn’t seen you for that long?”
Pear Butter began to explain. “Actually, it was way longer. When she was born, we had to keep her far away from Soursore. We were just trying to make sure Applejack’s life wasn’t horrible, and if she was kidnapped, she would never have a better life like ours. Appleloosa had gotten worse when more people sided with Soursore, and it’s just sad that we’d never see our lovely cowgirl again.”
Pumpkin felt horrible that Applejack’s parents were forced to do their only option. Pear Butter cried in sadness after mentioning it all, while Bright put an arm around her. Pumpkin tried to think of an idea to get Applejack’s family out of here.
“Okay… I think I can find a way for all of us, even the citizens of Appleloosa to get out of here.” he said confidently. The family was surprised to hear it, but leaned closer to him and got in on the steps to the major plan.
As soon as the sun’s ray hit the window, everyone in the remaining Apple family woke up. Pumpkin woke up as well, and was now about to initiate the big escape plan.
Applebloom was still unsure about his plan. “Pumpkin, are you sure you know what your doing?”
Pumpkin had to review the plan to Applebloom. “Don't worry. I know it’s risky, but Big Mac will distract the others so you can runaway. Look, there’s a phone in the front entrance into the hotel. When you're on the loose during breakfast time, I’m going to call the police and give them the information on where we are.”
Applebloom looked a bit frightened about this whole thing, but eventually hoped it would work. It was then one of Soursore’s accomplices unlocked the door and went into the apartment.
“Hey! You, the wife?, and the husband have work to do. Git!” he demanded. Pumpkin, Pear Butter and Bright Mac quickly followed suit. At the same time, Big Mac disguised himself as an accomplice. They still wait in the apartment until one of the lackeys came in. Once they heard the door about to be unlocked again, Applebloom got under the bed while Big Mac kept his cool to act like he’s one of Soursore’s lackeys. As soon as the cowboys got in, they demanded Applebloom and Big Mac to do their chores. However, they took notice that Applebloom has disappeared.
“What the hell!? Shit, Where’s the kid?” a lackey shouted.
Big Mac treated lightly and kept his charade going before telling. “Goddamn critter must’ve snuck out of here last night!”
“Dammit! We oughta track her down quick! Go! Mount up!” the lackey demanded Big Mac to go get his horse, despite the fact that he doesn’t have a horse.
Big Mac reacted and thought quickly. “Why can’t I stay an’ keep an eye on them so they can’t escape?”
“How is that a big deal? The doors and windows are looked.” the lackey asked.
“M-Maybe they could dig out of here!” Big Mac answered blindly.
“Yeah… Good thinking. Anyway, time to hurt down a child.” the lackey replied. As soon as the lackeys left the apartment room, Big Mac stood behind and lightly closed the door. He then talked to Applebloom, who was still hiding under the bed.
“Looks like it worked, but you should still hide under the mattress just to be safe.” Big Mac replied.
“I still think this is crazy!”
“So do I, darlin’. So do I…”
The plan was still in place, but to cool it off, Pumpkin started cleaning the tables while Bright Mac and Pear Butter made food in the bar.
“Pumpkin,” Pear called as Pumpkin looked up at her. “Are they gone?”
“I don’t know yet. Big Mac is doing everything he can to get all the cowboys out of here.” Pumpkin answered. Suddenly, cowboys ran past him and preparing to leave to capture Applebloom. “It worked!”
“But what about the other cowboys? Even Soursore?”
Pumpkin then walked up close to her to explain more on his plan. “...I’m going to risk my life so you can call the police.”
“...But I thought you were gonna call the police.” She said in confusion.
“I know but…” He stopped and a took a deep breath. “I don’t want you to get killed.”
“I thought… When I saw Applejack, I thought she was something amazing. But when I met her, I…. Couldn't even say a thing… and that's because….I'm in love with her.”
Pear and Bright Mac were shocked after hearing what Pumpkin said. “You love our girl?”
Pumpkin nodded. “She told me to move on, but… My life wasn’t worth living. Ever since, my family is poor and I try my best to make their lives better.”
“What happened to your parents?” Pear Butter responded.
“Soursore and his gang killed my parents.” Pumpkin uttered.
Bright Mac gently dropped the containers of silverwares, and turned to Pumpkin in concern. “Oh my gosh! Did you tell Applejack that?”
“I couldn't… it’s very personal to me…. It’s indeed delighted to meet you…, and this could possibly be the last time I’m ever going to see you, so...” He finished as he walked away, leaving Pear and Bright in speechlessness.
“Pear... I don’t know what to say.” Bright couldn't stand to see Pumpkin in such a dilemma.
Pear then immediately rushed to the phone and call for help. “Pear, wait! What are you doing!?”
“I’m going to make sure he doesn’t die. Applejack must know about this!”
Meanwhile, Pumpkin picked up some unloaded guns, and swung it against the doors to get the cowboys’ attention. As soon as he reached to Soursore’s room, he slammed the gun really hard on the wall, which caused Soursore to react quickly. Pumpkin then ran out of the hotel as fast as he could, then the lackeys caught him on sight as they grabbed their guns and chased him, along with an enraged Soursore.
“God Dammit! Who knocked on my door!?” he shouted.
His accomplices then saw Pumpkin, who made his escape, which made him twitch his eye “I want him killed!”
At the same time, Pear finished her phone call as quick as she could before hanging up, luckily without anyone noticing.
“Did you call the police?” Bright asked.
“They're on their way right now.” Pear answered as Soursore and his gang ran out of hotel to chase Pumpkin. Big Mac notice that all the cowboys are gone, completely out of sight.
“Hey! What’s going on? This wasn’t part of the plan.”
“Pumpkin said something about riskin’ his own life to save all of us, so I immediately called for help.” Pear explained.
“WHAT!?” Big Mac yelled in shock.
Back at Appleloosa, Applejack was safely with Granny Smith, who was unharmed. Apparently, her vacation was ruined, and she couldn't think it could get any worse.
“Applejack, I’m sorry that our vacation become a disaster since we got here a couple days ago.” Granny Smith replied.
Applejack didn't want to hear about it. “Please don’t discuss it! I just wanted to have a lovely family reunion, but now it’s just me, you and Braeburn. I don’t think I can come back to my friends because I feel empty that almost all my family members are gone.”
Granny Smith then sat by her on the bed, giving her a hug. “I know it’s a hard decision, and those rotten-stank cowboys might come back, but maybe you could live here instead, unless you have a better idea. Maybe you should probably call your friends just to make sure they know about the bad news.”
“Granny! I can’t just have my friends out of my life.”
“Well, what are you going to do there? Without your brother, sister and your…..”
Granny paused after hearing her granddaughter sob harder.
“I mean to say, your life with your friends isn’t going to be the same. Family is always important, no matter what.”
Suddenly, Braeburn came up to the room. “Applejack!”
“Why do you always do that since we came here?” Granny Smith argued.
“Sorry. Just wanted to say the police found where your family is.” he answered.
“You mean they’re still alive?” Applejack stood up quickly.
“Who knows? Hopefully, they are.”
“Then let's git ta gittin’!” Granny called out as everyone rushed to the truck.
After an excruciating chase leading to the desert, Pumpkin hid by one of the cactus to get away from Soursore. He was expecting the police to make it by now, hoping that Pear made the phone call. Unfortunately, one of the lackeys tried to shoot him on sight.
“Get back here, you coward!” they yelled.
Pumpkin continued to give them the slip, passing by poisonous snakes. Luckily, he wasn't even bit from them at all. Aside of that, he had no choice but to give more time for the citizens at the hotel, so he tried his best to not get bitten from the snakes. Of course, he may be in a situation like this, but hopefully it will be the last one he’d ever have.
After five minutes of running, he ran by the other side of the hotel and stopped until he couldn't run anymore. It wasn't long before Soursore and his gang caught the innocent and broken cowboy, guns pointed at him.
Soursore walked by his lackeys and grabbed his shirt. “You lousy-loosin, waste of spacin, son of a bitch! You thought you could fuck me up the pooter and get away with it? Huh?”
Soursore then pushed Pumpkin onto the wall. “Well, think again, little bitch! Nobody, and I mean Nobody, fucks with the bad boys, especially a piece of shit like you!
Soursore then ordered the gang to load up their guns and aim at Pumpkin. “Reunite him with his pussyfootin’ cunt-soft folks in hell. Give them my regards, kid…”
Pumpkin’s life flashed before his eyes, only to have it be his last in less than ten seconds. Tears came down onto his face, and fear surrounded his body. He has now become a sitting target on the verge of death - no way out, nothing to live for, after all he has tried.
“Pray like a little bitch all you want, you worthless cunt. You ain't gettin’ out alive…” Soursore spoke with terror as the gang’s fingers were on the triggers.
Suddenly, sounds of horses’ hooves approached. Riding them were several chiefs of police and deputies surrounded the gang, much to Soursore’s dismay. Pumpkin saw it all with a smile, looking up to the sky and silently thanking them before going on his hands and knees, breathing heavily before fainting to the ground.
“Freeze!” the police demanded. Soursore was outnumbered by the police, thus being forced to give up. He and the accomplices put their guns down, while other police officers picked up Pumpkin and carried him, away from the criminals.
By the time Pumpkin woke up, he saw that the police were taking the citizens out of the abandoned hotel and started carrying them back to Appleloosa. It was then he saw Pear, who was talking with the police.
“Pear?” he said to himself.
Pear saw that Pumpkin was harshly fatigued before turning to the police. “Thanks for helping. There's probably a basement with citizens, you should really help them.”
“Thanks ma’am.” The police tipped his hat before making his way to the basement. Pear turned to Pumpkin, relieved that he was still alive, and that his suicide plan carried a full-fledged miracle.
“Pear, I thought the police was going to be here after I-” he was cut off by Pear, who hugged him with tears.
“Don’t say that. You don’t deserve to have your life end like this. I had to call the police earlier.”
Bright Mac chimed in. “No one has ever saved anyone from Soursore for a long time, and they'd feel upset if they find out that you're dead. Your family may be gone forever, but we want to give you something in return after you saved us.”
Pear Butter put her hand onto Pumpkin’s shoulder. “Your life will be way better with her if she knows about this.”
“You should really tell her everything.” Bright suggested. He and Pear hugged him, thanking him for saving both their lives, along with everyone else's.
Suddenly, Applejack, Braeburn and Granny Smith parked their car in the parking lot of the hotel. “Come on guys, our family might be alive!”
She and her family headed straight to the front door of the hotel. Once Applejack saw that her brother and sister were sitting on the couches and still alive, she ran towards them.
“Applebloom! Big Mac!” she happily shouted.
“Applejack!” both Applebloom and Big Mac shouted as they hugged Applejack.
“Oh my gosh! I thought I would never see you two again!” She cried.
“I know! This may have been the worst moment in our vacation, and we’re not even half way down.” Applebloom commented.
“I don’t know what will of happen if we stayed here forever. I love our family’s vacation, and I assure ya, we’re gonna have a great family reunion.”
“Wait! You mean that my-” Applejack paused when she saw familiar faces by the bar with Pumpkin. Big Mac nodded his head in his response that Applejack’s parents are here, alive and well. Applejack let go of the hug and quickly ran up to them, still in tears of joy that her vacation is back to normal.
“Mom! Dad!” she called. Pear and Bright eyes went wide after hearing a sweet and charming voice they knees too well. They turned around and saw their growing and loving cowgirl for the first time since they left her.
“Applejack?” They both uttered in surprise. Applejack smiled as she ran and gave a big hug to her parents.
“I missed you so much!!” She hugged them back.
“Oh Applejack, you're the best daughter who loves us more than we know!” Pear cried happily.
“Man, it feels like you're born again.” Bright commented.
“Did someone know where you were?” Applejack asked.
“This young man has found us, and did the most daring he had ever done to save us.” Pear Butter answered before pointing to Pumpkin. Applejack recognized him and came to him with a hug.
“I couldn't believe you'd go through all that trouble, and I never thought you'd do what you had to do just to impress me…” Applejack uttered with a tear in eye.
“I didn't wanna impress you. Not after meeting your family after all this...” Pumpkin replied.
Applejack let out a giggle of relief, then let go of the hug. Not knowing what to do next after she was told that he saved her kin. Now, she was willing to pay her respects to Pumpkin.
“Hey, wanna come with me to my family reunion? I think it’d be sweet if you do.”
Pumpkin felt halfway nervous, but he doesn’t want to disappoint her offer. “Okay, I’ll come.”
Applejack then hugged him more while other family members joined in the hug. Applejack’s life has become better than ever, and her family was relieved back together and it was all because of Pumpkin Sweet.
Apple Family's Reunion Party
All of Applejack’s family members, cousins and long time friends were celebrating their long-awaited family reunion party. High-quality food was made everywhere and catered, along activities and entertainment provided by few of the elders and residents. Indeed, the party has gone full swing, and the stress was gone away. By the end of the reunion, they'd watch a thrilling movie exclusively for this occasion, followed by what they call an “After-Movie Special” - a dance party.
Even Pumpkin Sweet was enjoying himself with the Apple family, but it wasn't until he was gaining popularity just for saving the lives of Applejack’s family. As for Applejack, she still has four days left, starting from tomorrow. She never been this happy to seen her parents in a long time, despite the distress caused.
“How great is this reunion?” Applejack said to her parents.
“Are ya kiddin’? We’re just gettin’ started!” Bright Mac announced.
“Yeah! And, we're finally together again after all this time. Not to mention that Appleloosa is finally free from Soursore.” Applejack exclaimed.
“Speakin’ of which,” Bright added. “Soursore and his cowboys are gonna be in a different facility out of this country. We’ll need better security here, though. Cuz, it ain't as good as anywhere else...”
“Well, either way, Appleloosa is now outlaw free!” Applebloom exclaimed.
“Guess we’ll never have this kind of crisis ever again...” Granny Smith nodded with relief.
“Eyup.” Big Mac commented shortly.
Granny Smith played another set of card games with her friends, while Big Mac and Applebloom made more food for their friends and family.
“Applejack!” Pear called her daughter. “Can we talk up to your room? It’s about Pumpkin Sweet...”
“...ok…” Applejack answered. She then saw Pumpkin, who was talking to one of her friends and cousins. “I don’t mind talking about him…”
By the time they walked past Pumpkin Sweet, some of her friends and cousins glanced at her before turning to Pumpkin.
“Do you have a crush on Applejack?” a young cowgirl smirked.
Pumpkin blushed. “I… I used to, but I think she might have second thoughts.”
“Ya kiddin’?” a friend of Applejack tilted her head. “You not only saved her family, but also other citizens who been trapped in the middle of nowhere for years! That deserves an award for Hero of Appleloosa right there!”
“What do you mean by that?” one of the cousins showed him a newspaper, containing a picture of Soursore behind bars.
“Your name is already on paper and everything since the police came back here with all the captives. Applejack’s mom who told the police about your plan.” they exclaimed, much to his surprise.
“How did I got myself on the newspaper?” he said to himself, seeing his face on newspaper. He thought that Pear was only going to talk to Applejack, and not everyone else out of nowhere.
“I think I need to use the bathroom.” Pumpkin uttered nervously.
“Take your time.” they winked as soon as he left.
“He's got a thing for her, all right…” one of the cousins whispered to the other.
“Uh-oh…” they giggled to themselves. “Bow-chicka, ride me cowboy!”
“Oh, brother…” some of her friends either shook their heads or followed her antics.
Pumpkin headed for the bathroom, panicking. The popularity scared him for a while, but he tried to calm himself down. Butterflies kept fluttering around his stomach, and he had to breathe heavily.
“Why would Pear Butter tell everyone on a whim? Oh man, I don’t think I can go outside of my house anymore. I know that I want Applejack to love me, but I don’t want everyone else to know about it!”
It wasn't long before the door opened, and in came Applejack. “Oh… H-Howdy, Pumpkin.”
Pumpkin shook, but kept his posture. “Howdy, Applejack. So, what's goin’ on?”
“Well, it’s almost 7:00 PM and we’re about to watch the cowboy movie. Do you want to watch with us?” Applejack offered.
Pumpkin tilted his head, then nodded. “Great! I got the projector ready.”
Applejack took his hand. “Relax, Pumpkin. It’s going to be fine...”
They both headed back to the living room with the others, and Applejack started to turn on the projector and the DVD player. After that, she sat down on the beanbag before turning to Pumpkin, who was blushing like crazy.
“I just feel scared when I sit by girls.” he uttered. Everyone either smiled or tilted their heads after Pumpkin's response, which caused him to shake harder. Applejack got off her beanbag and pulled him close to her.
“Don’t be scared, sugar. Our door is always open.” she replied. Pumpkin tried his best to not screw this opportunity up as he sat next to her. At the same time, one of the cousins turned the lights off. The movie has finally begun, and everyone had their eyes on the screen. Applejack leaned her head on Pumpkin’s shoulder, which made him blush even more red.
After The Movie
After Applejack said goodbye to her friends and cousins, the family waved back as well. Indeed, the reunion has been a blast, and everyone enjoyed it. Even Applebloom didn't want the family bonding to stop there, but she wouldn't need to worry about it. She was reminded that they have a list of activities, of course, and this reunion was only the first. Now, all that was left in the apartment were Braeburn, Applejack’s entirely family, and Pumpkin Sweet.
“Applejack, I don’t think anything can be complete without all of this.” Applebloom gave her opinions about the amazing reunion.
“Yeah, and I really miss everyone in this family being together a lot.” Braeburn replied.
“And of course, I really love Appleloosa a lot.” Big Mac said with happy tears.
Applejack has never felt this happy with her family in a long time, with everyone having a great time, including her friends. Nothing can get any better with her family, she'd say to herself.
“Looks like I’m going to sleep now. I’m really exhausted...” Applebloom yawned before walking to her room.
“So do I. I really need more energy for the activities we’re gonna do for the rest of this vacation.” Big Mac replied.
“Good night, Big Mac and Applebloom.” Applejack said as Big Mac headed for his room. Her parents and grandma were preparing to leave.
“This is the greatest family reunion ever in our lives. And it’s great that we still have time for more bonding.” Bright Mac said proudly.
“Well, I don't wanna be rude, but we keep talking about this alot. It may be true, but we should still continue our vacation, and forget about this whole criminal thing.” Granny Smith exclaimed.
“Yeah. We should move on for sure.” Bright Mac replied as he made his way out of the apartment. As for Applejack, she and Pear Butter give each other one last hug for the day.
“I know we should sleep together in this apartment, but we really need to take care of Granny.” Pear kissed her daughter’s cheek.
“I know.” Applejack replied. Pear and Granny started exiting the apartment with Braeburn following close behind.
Applejack's Respect For Pumpkin
Now that everyone was in their bedrooms and sleeping in, the only people who are still here were Applejack and Pumpkin. She thought of an idea after hearing that he saved her family. Her feelings towards him had changed since she knew who he really was, thanks to Pear. Now, she had to find a way to pay him back for pulling off a rescue.
Pumpkin was finally out of the bathroom and was about to leave, but Applejack grabbed his arm.
“What do you think you're goin’, Pumpkin?” She said in a cute tone.
“I’m just about to go back to my apartment from the other side of the city.” he answered.
“Ohhh… really?”
“I think my parents might be worried if they don’t know where I am.” Pumpkin lied.
Applejack stopped him entirely. “Sugar, I know you're an orphan…”
There were several seconds of silence filling the room until she spoke again.
“My mom told me everything about you. I think you should sleep here.”
“I really don’t fit in.” he lowered his head shyly.
“Why not? We can sleep in my room...” Applejack offered.
“R...Really?” Pumpkin shook lightly until her hands touched his shoulders.
“Don’t feel nervous. Come on.” she took his hand as they both headed upstairs into Applejack’s room.
“Close your eyes.” she instructed to Pumpkin. Earlier after the movie ended, Applejack made a surprise exclusively for Pumpkin. Now that they approached to her bedroom door, Applejack opened the door, still holding on to his hand.
“Keep your eyes shut, okay?” she ordered as they now entered her room. Applejack lead him to her bed, gently sitting him down at the end of the mattress.
“Okay! Open ‘em!” Applejack exclaimed. Pumpkin did so, then found himself into Applejack’s room. It consisted of a bathroom, a huge shower, a window that has a great view on the city of Appleloosa, and a rack covering something underneath.
“Applejack, whats under that rack?” Pumpkin wondered. Little did he know that a another secret was hidden inside her room - a stripper pole was somehow easily installed beforehand. As soon as his back bumped onto it, he quickly looked back and saw the pole with a bewildered look.
“That’s for later.” Applejack teased before he could ask. She led him to the bed, and sat down by him with her hand onto his lap. “I really need to know something, Pumpkin… were you trying to commit suicide to save our family?”
Pumpkin answered truthfully. “I had to do something to save them. My parents’ death was all I had, and I thought my life wouldn't be worth living anymore.”
Applejack felt sad for him after what she heard. “Jeez, Sugar. You shouldn't even have a reason like that just ’cause you ain't good enough for me. I've been tryin’ to tell ya that I ain't some prize for competition. Why should you go through all that trouble just to do all that?”
“I’m really sorry. I should’ve been smart enough to be more normal to you. And when you told me that you don’t like boys a lot, there's no point of me to move on. Before you came here, I only did chores to get money for myself to live longer, and I couldn't afford to pay the water and electric bill. And, some of my friends went to a different country because of Soursore and his gang causing trouble all the time.”
“Oh my goodness. You're really that lonely, huh?” Applejack replied.
“The family I used to have are long gone. I’m all by myself now, with nothing to lose. But then, I saw you, and I fell in love. My mom always has told me this: if there’s a girl you really want, you should do something that can make her life worth living if you're ever in a situation that causes sacrifice.”
Applejack feels even more sad and also her feelings grow stronger with him.
“Awww, that’s sweet advice from your mother who cares about you. I mean, when I found out that you're an orphan, you should have more respect from someone you know, rather than being alone. You saved not only the citizens of Appleloosa, but also my family...”
She wrapped her hand around his arm, which made him tremble. “I think you should be part of my family.”
“Really?” Pumpkin’s eyes widened.
Applejack nodded, leaning close to him as she could. “And also, I really want you to be my boyfriend.”
This made his face completely in hot red to the point that there's no turning back from this.
“Umm… I just don't know I’m ready for that… I mean, I do want to have a girlfriend, but…” he stuttered. Out of nowhere, Applejack firmed a quick kiss onto his lips. His eyes shot wide open, and his pants sparked a tent immediately. This was indeed the first time in his life that a girl he loved kissed him, and he never thought it would happen this soon. For the next minute and a half, Applejack took full control, with her boobs pinning against his chest. She grabbed his wrist and led it to her ass cheeks hidden underneath her skirt. Pumpkin Sweet couldn’t believe what was happening to him, with the body of who he loved touching him gently and passionately. Pumpkin backed up until he was at the end of the other side of the bed. He placed his head on one of Applejack’s pillows, watching as she was on top of him.
“Don't you wanna have fun with me?” she looked down at him with a tempting smile.
“But what if someone might hear us?” Pumpkin tried to calm himself down.
“My floor and walls are concrete, so no will can hear us.” she winked. Applejack got off the bed and locked her door before turning her head towards him and walked back to him.
“Pumpkin, I know that you know that I’m not into boys. But unlike every other boy I met in my life, none can compare to you. Your may be weak when it comes to impressing me, but what you really are is a hero who saved my parents, and even the whole town. Now, I can see you as part of the Apple family, and I’m gonna show you that your life will be way worth living with me.”
As soon as Applejack opened up the chest, it revealed water bottles and shampoo supplies. Pumpkin pants get way tighter as soon as he saw her gaze. Sure, he did want to be with Applejack, but he always thought of her as a sweet girl. Somehow, the loss of her innocence has captured his mind.
“Don’t be scared, sugarcube. Just enjoy the show.” She walked up to him and decided to strip his clothes off.
“I really don’t want to take off my clothes, Applejack.” Pumpkin tried to stop her until Applejack gave him a sad and cute stare.
“Aww! Don’t make this cute farm girl cry. I’m just want you to feel better.” she tried to convince him. Pumpkin refused to disappoint his crush, but tried to keep his arms away from Applejack’s. She continued to strip everything off of Pumpkin, but leaving only his underwear on. Pumpkin couldn't believe what he was seeing - himself half naked in front of the girl of her dreams.
Applejack removed her shirt and skirt to expose her green bra and thong. She then turned around, bending over to discard the undergarments, thus giving Pumpkin a great view of her ass until she rose up. “Enjoying the view, huh?”
