Cadance’s POV

On the night I invited those who were chosen by the rings, I decided to have the meeting in the underground tea room in the castle; I made the tea and cookies for every pony too. After everything was ready, I used my ring, the master ring, to summon the seven ponies chosen by the rings. As every pony chosen entered, I was surprised to see my mother-in-law, Twilight Velvet, as one of the chosen ponies; I also felt a little awkward too. I was also surprised to see Ms. Peachbottom, the mare that was mistaken for Equestria Games Inspector, and Sapphire Shores, who I heard went missing in the entertainment world. As for Zecora, I’ve never met her personally, but I have heard of her from Twilight; that being said, I’m glad she was chosen considering that I was going to go find her and ask for her help. As for the other three, I didn’t know them, but one of them almost looked like the spitting image of Rainbow Dash; she told me her name is Windy Whistles and that she’s Rainbow Dash’s mom. The other two ponies introduced themselves as Tree Hugger and Cherry Jubilee respectively. I asked Windy Whistles why she has a red string tied to her finger and she told me that this was meant to signal her husband to pull her back in case this was a trap; she received her ring while the two of them were having sex.

After everypony got comfortable, I showed them one of the chains that fell off the door to the Shadow Heart. I explained to them that this chain can be revived to serve its purpose, but my magic put into my master ring isn’t going to be enough no matter what I do. The rings went to them because, as I mentioned in the message within the rings, they have what I call “strong lust magic”; while I can send them to a certain place in Equestria, if I’ve been there before, I can’t decide who gets to have rings. Cherry Jubilee asked why just seven of them since this job of putting in more-new lust magic into the chain might require more ponies than just the eight of them. I told them that I have a total of twenty rings, including their rings, but Shining Armor and I have only been able to power their rings for right now. Tree Hugger then asked how are they supposed to collect love and/or lust. I told them that the only known way to gather it is by having sex, or at least do something sexually appealing that will make lust surface; I told them that sex is the best way to get lust from other ponies. I told them that I know how it sounds, but if there was another way I would have found it by now or at the very least I’m looking into it more.

Ms. Peachbottom asked if these rings could do anything else. I told her that, as far as I know right now, these rings can give those who can’t fly the ability to fly, create weapons that can be used to defend ourselves, detect high amounts of lust, create clothes for us based on our own imagination, prevent unwanted pregnancies, and guard us from STDs. Ms. Peachbottom giggled at the prospect of using this ring while having sex with other stallions; now she can play it a little more dangerously with her sexual encounters. I told her that she has to be wearing the ring while doing this; if she has the ring off her finger then all bets are off.

Before I could say anything else, Sapphire Shores said that she would help out with this; everypony else said that they would help out too. I thanked them and told them that I will be sending them something else to help them in their mission. I also reminded them to keep this thing a secret as well. I opened portals for Tree Hugger, Cherry Jubilee, Sapphire Shores, and Ms. Peachbottom and sent them back to where they originally came from and they all went through them; however, I asked Windy Whistles, Zecora, and mom to stay a little longer.

Mom asked “What did you want to talk to us about, darling?”

“Like I said before, I didn’t get to pick who gets rings; so I didn’t expect mares who are married such as yourselves. So I need to inform you two right now of the possible dangers of gathering lust from dad and Bow Hothoof.” She said to Zecora “Zecora, can you wait here for a few minutes? I need to show them something important.”

Zecora said “Of course”

I took mom and Windy Whistles to Shining Armor and I’s bedroom and showed them Shining Armor asleep in bed.

“Aw, my big boy is sleeping like a baby.”

“He deserves a good rest after how exhausting it was to power not only my ring but yours as well.”

Windy asked me “What do you mean by that?”

“While gathering lust from ponies is harmless, if combined with love it can be extremely exhausting to the pony who is supposed to have their lust collected by us. In order for the rings to be given power, love is required between the ones trying to create it. The queen who first made these rings had some pony she loved dearly create the first twenty rings but it exhausted him since love and lust combined is incredibly strong; creating all twenty put her lover into a coma that lasted for 2 years because she activated the twenty rings in a row.”

“That’s terrible. “

Mom said with a worried tone before I reassured her “Shining Armor isn’t……”

“No, of course not; he’s just tired. Other than his duties around the Crystal Empire, all he’s been doing is sleeping after helping create the rings. It took us three rounds to power the rings; round one powered mine and a little bit ring one, round two powered the rest of ring one, then rings two, three, and 75 percent of ring four, and round three powered the rest of ring four, and rings five, six, and seven.”

“Being able to go three rounds straight; he must have adequate stamina. However, Bow can go four rounds with me before he gets tired.”

“Actually, Shining Armor can go five rounds with me on a regular basis.”

“That’s my son, so I’m not going to comment on this nor will I compare him to his father. Mom says to herself under her breath “However, that’s more than how long his father can last; he can only go three rounds with me before he gets tired”.”

“Back on topic. I suggest that if you are going to collect lust from Bow or dad that you keep it to two rounds; I rather you keep it at one, but two is the max. While you may not be doing what I’m doing, obtaining lust combined with love can be exhausting to the one who’s lust is being obtained.”

“Sure, Princess Cadance. I better get going; Bow is probably worried about me.”

I opened a portal for Windy Whistled and she went right through it.

“Cadance, just out of curiosity, what are the odds that one of the rings will go to Twilight?”

“Unless she’s recently lost her virginity, I don’t think that’s likely; other than having high amounts of lust, you have to have lost your virginity (willingly) and you have to 18 and over. Twilight may be of age, but it’s not like she’s going to tell us if she’s lost her virginity to a stallion or a mare. Besides, she’s probably too busy keeping an eye on Flurry’s studies to be thinking about that right now. Which reminds me, I need to send her a letter to see how she’s doing.” I said while Twilight Velvet is raising an eyebrow with a smile on her face “Twilight suggested that we write to her every week to make sure she’s doing ok.”

“It’s ok, Cadance. I know what you and Shining Armor are going through; Night Light and I felt the same way with both Shining Armor and Twilight. I better head back; Night Light is probably anxious to get his fantasy done by now.”

“I don’t want to know.”

I opened a portal for her mother and she went through it, but not before giving Cadance a hug and Shining Armor a kiss on the cheek. Once she was gone, Cadance went back to the tea room to talk to Zecora.

“Zecora, thank you for waiting for me; sorry I took so long.”

“Not a problem, Princess Cadance. I think I know why you want to talk to me; you want to learn about the connection the crystal ponies and the zebras have to what we call, The Lust Lanterns.”

Author's Note

A few things that I would like to point out.
1. I know I didn't make Zecora rhyme so don't say in the comments that I didn't do that. I just can't come up with sentences with her rhyming every time like that, especially if I'm going to have her speaking in future chapters.
2. While I'll let you all vote/comment on which chapter you want to see next, the next one will be Windy Whistle's chapter.
3. Based on the given comments, the next two Lust Lanterns will be Moon Dancer and Marble Pie.
