Dark Setting for the Friendship Finale

Twilight can see everything is going shit crazy, not that she would ever say a curse word out loud, and she tries to go for her device to close it and hopefully get all of these freaky plants only for one of the vicious plants grabs her by the foot.

She and the other bikers dodge the plants though Sugarcoat got caught in one's mouth and Sunset tries to slide down but ends up getting off her bike.

"Maybe this is why I don't do gardening." Sunset groaned.

Indigo Zap was surprised to see a giant plant in front of her while it's that very same plant that is holding Sugarcoat in the mouth, she jumps off the plant and managed to get in front of Rainbow Dash taking the lead.

Rainbow Dash saw Sunset is in trouble and decided to go save her friend while dodging some of the plant monsters.

Sunset saw a tire fall right to her and look up to see the giant monster is finishing up on chomping Sugarcoat's bike causing her to fall from the high height, but then Flash swoops in to catch her in his arms.

"Well, would you look at that. It's raining girls." Flahs smirked and then gave her a wink which causes Sugarcoat to blush.

"Oh, you." Sunset chuckled.

That's when Rainbow Dash comes in just in the nick of time to save Sunset from being eaten by a plant even though Flash was already holding it back with his sword.

"Yeah, go Rainbow Dash!" Flash cheered.

"Dash, you saved me!" Sunset smiled.

"I wasn't about to let my friend become plant food." Rainbow Dash stated strongly.

Rainbow Dash stops the bike for a moment as she transforms into her human-Pegasus form being all glowing and other awesome stuff.

"I never get tired of seeing that." Flash smiled.

Cinch was very surprised to see that one of the students from Canterlot High School to suddenly gain wings, she looks over to Principal Celestia who put up a nervous smile and shrug as she doesn't say anything.

"You girls continue with the race while I keep these plant fuckers off." Flash said after setting Sugarcoat down and taking out his guns.

"We can still win this!" Rainbow Dash said.

Sunset nods as she rides off on the dirt bike to continue the race while Nevan is using her lightning power to zap away any plant monsters that tries coming closer to them for a snack, and she is not planning on being a snack to some stupid plants anytime soon.

"I better get some good fucking after this." Nevan said.

Indigo Zap continues with the race trying to keep the lead only to suddenly fall into a hole and one big plant monster is above her, but it never got the chance to go down to eat her because Flash obliterated with one shot from his gun.

"Nobody is coming plant food while I'm around." Flash smirked.

But then six more plant monsters suddenly pop out from a few more portals that are roaring with their hisses that would scare some people, but Flash Sentry isn't one of those people as he looks at them with just a grin and twirling the black gun on his finger.

Flash can remember the times that his mom wanted to do some gardening in the backyard though never got the time to fully do it because of work, and now it looks like he may have to do some gardening himself in this case.

"Okay, the first thing to do when starting a garden is to take out the weeds, and I am seeing some very nasty ones." Flash mocked the monster plants.

Flash runs to his right and started showing several bullets at the plant monsters which manage to hit four of them, but two remaining are going in to attack making him jump high and then six more plant monsters came out from some more portals.

Flash was a bit surprise to see them coming out, then one plant monster came up to Flash catching him in his mouth to eat him alive.

"No! Flash! He's terrible as a fertilizer!" Sonata cried.

However, Flash's fate is not sealed as he reveals to be alive as he pushes the plant jaws open with little struggle.

"Your breath stinks." Flash insulted.

Flash jumps out of the mouth and instantly threw in a blazing slash of 15 strikes literally in one second causing it to burst into pieces, he goes jumping from one plant to another while slashing them away and back down to the other plant monsters with bullets.

"Well, it's official, I do not have the green thumb." Flash realized.

Sunset came up to final stretch just as Indigo Zap finally got out of the hole and catching up to Sunset with both of them being neck-in-neck as they get closer and closer to the finish line, but in the end, it was Sunset Shimmer who crosses the finish line.

"Canterlot wins!" Cadance announced, she was surprised by this as well.

This was a big surprise to everyone who saw the race finish and more so for the Wondercolts as they cheered loudly for one of their own winning the race.

Meanwhile, Twilight finally manages to get the pendant while Spike is chewing on one of the big vines of the monster plants, she closes it that got all the plant monsters are disappearing with the portals to close.

"The time is near, very near." Mahkra smirked with Shining Armor behind him.

"Attention, students, please proceed to the gym." Cadance ordered.

"Well, that's as close to gardening as I'll ever get." Flash said.

"Is everybody all right?" Applejack asked as the group gathered.

"Better than all right! We won!" Rainbow Dash yelled smiling for victory.

"Yeah, we won, but somebody could've been seriously hurt. The magic is going haywire, and I have no idea how to fix it!" Sunset worried.

"Easy Sunset, it's not like the explanation to everything that has been happening right now is going to come up to us seeking help to stop more of this from happening again." Flash shrugged.

"What Twilight standing right over there?" Sonata asked as she spotted Twilight standing close to them about ten feet or such.

"Um, excuse me." Twilight said, feeling a bit nervous about talking to other people from another school.

"I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I just wanted to learn about the strange energy coming from your school. I didn't know that it was magic or... how it works." Twilight apologized.

"No sweat. To be honest, I'm still not sure about how strong I am with my demon powers and there might be more to myself than I realize, same can be said with the girls and their magic." Flash stated.

"Yeah, what he said. So, I'm sure we can figure something out." Rainbow Dash said.

But the quiet moment ends almost immediately when the pendant starts to open again when Rainbow Dash got closer to Twilight and drains her magic power.

"Oh, no! Oh, no, no, no! Not again!" Twilight freaked out as she tries to pull it away but struggles to get it away from Rainbow Dash.

"I take it your little gadget is doing something more than it was supposed to do when you built it? Flash asked.

"Actually, yes. How did you know?" Twilight asked in surprise.

"I had a theory and me and the girls were talking about earlier." Flash answered.

"I don't know how it even happened; it was just a normal energy detection until this happened ever since I got here." Twilight struggled to close her pendant.

"What do you mean you don't know how?!" Sunset asked.

"It also causes these corresponding rifts to appear! I don't know how that works either." Twilight mentioned freaking out a little.

"Is there anything you do know?! Like how to get our magic back?! Or how to fix the portal to Equestria?!" Sunset asked getting angry.

"Equestria?" Twilight confused.

"You're supposed to be so smart, but did you ever think that you shouldn't be messing around with things you don't understand?!" Sunset scolded while closing the pendant that closes the portal.

"But I wanna understand." Twilight said.

But before Sunset could yell at Twilight again, Flash suddenly pulls her in for a heated kiss that calms her down while groping her butt making her moan and the girls around him blushes of the sight even Twilight.

"So hot." Moonlight Raven commented, seeing this with her own eyes, and feeling turn on.

The kiss lasted for a minute until he separates his lips from Sunset and look toward Twilight.

"Look, Twilight. We understand that you didn't want any of this to happen when you got here and never meant to hurt anybody, you just wanted to understand what was going on around in this school." Flash said.

"Huh, yes, that's exactly right." Twilight nodded.

"Well, then I'm sure we can keep this little device out of hands and keep the games fair." Flash believed.

"You just need to hand over your pendant and in return… I can give you some knowledge of the demons I have fought before that I keep, in this notebook." Flash pulled out a dark red notebook from his jacket.

"Really? You'll just give me that notebook?" Twilight asked in surprise.

"I figured you're the type of girl who is really curious about the unknown and wants to understand some more, so I might as well give you something to keep you occupied." Flash shrugged.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to put my project on pause for the moment move on to another one." Twilight decided to take the offer.

Twilight gave her pendant to Flash who gave her the notebook on the demons.

"Did you really write everything about the demons you fought so far?" Applejack asked.

"Yep, a little advice I got from Sunset about keeping track of your enemies." Flash answered.

"Speaking of Sunset, have you finally calmed down?" Flash asked.

"Yes, I have. Guess I should really watch out for how I yell at people." Sunset said, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Come on, let's all head back inside." Flash said as he twirls the pendant around his finger.

Mahkra and Shining Armor watch the group leave for the building with their eyes glued more on the pendant, the very key they need for their ultimate plan though that might be a problem with Flash holding onto it.

"See what you can do to get that pendant. With the finale round just around the corner, we can't afford to make any mistakes." Mahkra ordered.

"I think I know just what to do." Shining Armor nodded, with his eyes mysteriously glowing black.

With the Principal and Vice-Principal after the race, Cinch was not liking how the race turned out.

"You can't possibly call that a fair race." Cinch gestured to the field, referring to what happened with the giant plants.

"Principal Cinch, we all saw what happened. You can't think CHS had some kind of advantage." Celestia pointed out.

"Can't I? Even without your trained attack plants, your students have wings! Oh, and I seem to recall one of your students having guns!" Cinch mentioned.

"Well, the race certainly had some... extenuating circumstances. Perhaps we should end the games now and declare a tie." Celestia suggested, but that only seem to make Cinch angrier.

"A tie? Was this your strategy all along? To force us into accepting you as equals? I think not. The games will continue and Crystal Prep will prevail despite your antics and whatever performance-enhancing regimen your students are on." Cinch said.

"I think you should learn to cool it, Headmistress Cinch." Shining Armor said, walking up to her.

"Excuse me?" Cinch was surprised of Shining Armor talking back to her like that.

"All I'm saying is that you need to relax and be grateful that you're alive right now and not plant food for those plants. Don't think I didn't see one of them trying to eat you before that devil boy killed it with a bullet." Shining Armor mentioned.

That got Cinch to be quiet for a moment as she looks away, not wanting to admit that she was a tiny, tiny, grateful to have been saved at that last moment.

"Now, why don't you go back inside and see if you can grab yourself a cup of tea." Shining Armor pushed Cinch to walk toward the school building.

"Wow, I've never seen you talk back to Cinch like that." Cadance said.

"I just thought the old bitch could use some scolding, not a big deal." Shining Armor shrugged.

"Hey, Flash Sentry. Am I right?" Shining Armor asked as he walks up to Flash.

"That's me, the one and only." Flash nodded.

"Do you mind if we walk and talk, I've been wanting to ask you a couple of questions." Shining Armor requested.

"Sure, I don't mind." Flash said as they walk together.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop all this from happening." Sunset apologized to Celestia.

"It's not your fault, Sunset. Besides, Flash was able to help with those plant monsters and nobody was hurt." Celestia said.

"That maybe true, but still… I should know how to control the magic I brought here. But I don't. I let everyone down. And now Principal Cinch thinks we're cheating." Sunset said, feeling worried.

"It doesn't matter what Principal Cinch thinks." Celestia said, not wanting that old woman to make Sunset feel bad about what happened in the obstacle race.

"But it does. The students here at CHS don't just wanna win, they wanna beat Crystal Prep. It isn't gonna count if the other side doesn't really think they lost. Crystal Prep is never gonna believe we won fair and square if there's magic around. And that magic is only around... because of me." Sunset felt bad about all of this happening right under her nose.

"Taking the blame for something that is beyond your control is the sign that your spirit is weakening." Mahkra said, standing close to Sunset much to her surprise.

"You shouldn't be focusing on something that has yet to happen nor what can't be control, but what you can do is just focus on the here and now then be prepared as much as possible with the knowledge you have." Mahkra advised wisely before walking away.

"Wow, he sounded really deep just now." Pinkie commented.

"Does he always sound like a boring old man?" Aria asked Twilight.

"Most of the time, I think. He's just always been more in the "zone" or something like that, but there are times when he gets really deep… and dark." Twilight explained about Mahkra that would even make her feel scared of him at times.

(With Flash and Shining Armor)

"And that is the last time I ever try using a crab for a haircut." Shining Armor finished the story and shared a laughing moment with Flash.

"Oh man, thanks for the warning with crabs!" Flash said.

"Man, it's been a blast hanging out with you, Shining Armor. I didn't think I would meet an older brother who is nice." Flash complimented.

"I take it you have bad older brother experiences." Shining Armor guessed.

"No, I'm only a single child. Never had any siblings before, I guess my parents never had the time to think about it when they got a little focus on their work. But that's cool, I know they still love me." Flash smiled.

"Say, what are your thoughts on my wife, Cadance? She is something of a woman, am I right?" Shining Armor asked.

"Well, since you ask nicely, I find her to be extremely hot. Hot as fuck like some of my own girls in my harem." Flash answered.

"Harem, nice. You know, I haven't been able to give my wife some needed love like we used to, not since we had our baby daughter." Shining Armor mentioned.

"And you want my help with that?" Flash asked, seeing where he's going with.

"I'll need to have a talk with Cadance about it, but I'm sure she would agree if it was out for love, and I still love her." Shining Armor shrugged as he patted hard on Flash's back.

"Right, I'll have to get back to you on that. I just need to focus on cheering for the girls for the last event of the games." Flash walked away from the man.

"Sure man, go ahead and cheer on." Shining Armor waved goodbye and turned around.

"For it'll be the last thing you'll ever do." Shining Armor held up the pendant in his hands with his voice sounding a little eerie.

The plant monsters have been dealt with along with the Wondercolt team having won the obstacle course, but it looks like there is something going on with Mahkra and surprisingly Shining Armor with a plan that could put everybody in danger in the last event as their final resting place.
