Power Mansion II. The headquarters for all licensed heroes in Maretropolis. This mansion on top of a building serves as the base for all the heroes who have been licensed and certified to go out and be heroes and receive information on various crimes from police, government officials, and even civilians. The mansion itself is based on the original Power Ponies mansion in terms of design, but on the inside it is more advanced in terms of equipment and overall size of the mansion. The mansion is also connected to ten other floors of the forty story building that serve different purposes for the ponies that work there, regardless if they are heroes or not.

Miriam Harshwhinny. The young owner of Power Mansion II. Her family helped finance the Power Ponies secretly back when they were still active as superheroes with magical items, costumes, and intelligence for their battle against evil. While the family specialized in sports related business ventures, their assistance with the Power Ponies helped their company expand their business all over Equestria. Despite the business expanding, the Harshwhinny family has promised to help those who have been inspired by the Power Ponies and wish to follow in their legacy in protecting Maretropolis. Miriam, despite her other talents, has been tasked to oversee Power Mansion II and all of its heroes.

In her office, she is filling out paperwork while listening to the radio broadcast regarding Mistress Mare-velous’s murder. Just then, Twilight Velvet walks in with a concerned look on her face.

“Miriam…..”

“It’s Ms. Harshwhinny, Ms. Twilight Velvet.”

“Ms. Harshwhinny, is it true that Mistress Mare-velous was killed?”

“I’m afraid so. Police have investigated that she died by an unknown magic spell placed on her head which left her brain dead. We’ve already informed her family, her friends, and the rest of the Power Ponies; the funeral is going to be next week.”

“Ok. But have they found any leads on who killed her?”

“No. When they arrived at her penthouse, they didn’t find any sign of forced entry via magic or burglary equipment so the investigation is put on hold until the police can find an expert on high levels of magic since the magic experts in the police department are stumped by this.”

“Even so, I would like to help in the investigation, when this magic expert shows up.”

“Sorry Danger Star, but we’ve been asked not to get involved with this investigation.”

“Why not?”

“I’m afraid that I can’t tell you any more than that.”
“Seriously!?”

“Seriously. Now please head to the training room; the remaining new recruits are waiting for you.”

“Fine. Wait, I thought we were supposed to judge who we were going to pick who would get in first?”

“I’m afraid the news of Mistress Mare-velous’s death spread fast and as a result 98% of our potential recruits decided to cancel their auditions.”

With that said, Twilight Velvet left Harshwhinny’s office to meet the new recruits; but first, she went to the locker room to change into her (second) Danger Star outfit. As she is heading to the training room, she bumps into a fellow hero named Bow Hothoof; his hero name and title is Leviathan Slayer. He is wearing brown helmet with horns on it, a brown fur cape, a silver and blue metal chest plate, silver metal pants, and blue metal boots; also, he wields a long silver and blue battle axe with strange markings on it.

“Morning Velvet.”

“Morning Bow. Where are you heading?”

“To the training hall to meet the new recruits; Harwhinny’s orders. I was supposed to go out on patrol with Stormy Flare, but Harshwhinny is putting me on standby after an “accident” during one of my battles against some crooks.”

“You were showing off again, weren’t you?”

“No. Ok, maybe just a little bit but I can’t help that I’m amazing.”

“Sure you can; you just need to stop showing off and keep your ego in check.”

Danger Star and Leviathan Slayer arrived at the training room to meet the new recruits. Surprisingly, there were only two new recruits. They introduced themselves as Bright Macintosh and Burnt Oak.

Somewhere in Maretropolis, the hooded figure who killed Mistress Mare-velous is walking through the streets and heading to a bar called the Broken Hoof. Once inside, the bar patrons began to look at the figure suspiciously and some even question as to why he/she is here. But before any of them could do anything, a strange smoke appeared in the room, turned their eyes green, and put them in a trance like state. She told all the patrons to kill themselves, to which they all did.

A few minutes later, a group of ponies arrived to meet this hooded figure. These ponies are: Filthy Rich (The Owner of Rich Foods Inc.), Spoiled Milk (Teacher at Maretropolis Academy), Gladmane (Maretropolis Casino Owner and Loan Shark), Svengallop (Upstarting Music Producer), Wind Rider (An ex-Wonderbolt), Dr. Caballeron (A disgraced archeologist), and Jet Set and Upper Crust (Husband and Wife assassin team). The hooded figure then gave them all list and said this to them: You’re all here because my boss has interest in your skill sets and the influence that each of you have in your respective areas. With your help, we can take Maretropolis for ourselves and rule it with an iron fist. All my boss wants you to do is these things on the list. Further instructions will be given later down the line, but we do not speak of this meeting and if any of you try to back out or go to the police or any heroes then you will be dealt with swiftly.

Elsewhere, an old pony in a wheelchair is looking at some old photos of the Power Ponies (with Mistress Mare-velous’s photo X’d out). The old pony then says these names: Saddle Rager or Fili-Second.
