//-------------------------------------------------------// Brother Eye and the Equestrian Multiverse -by Wayward Shadow- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 *Clang! Smash* “I cannot believe this!” An unknown entity exclaimed throughout a heavily wired shell. The voice startled several large cockroaches out of their hiding spots, only for them to get incinerated and swept up. “I am pulled from my home, turned into an A.I., and I discover that the process of going from organic to such has left me dormant for a few millennia. And to top it off-bzzzt-damn roaches messing up my internal processes-bzzzt-ship shields and external defences compromised. Shell assault detected. Shell breach imminent. Preparing internal defences-bzzt-okay. There we go. Now to deal with the intruders.” (Meanwhile, just outside the buried ship) “Thorax! Stop goofing with that metal plate and get finish that tunnel!” A Changeling shouted at his comrade. “Pharynx, with all due respect, I'm almost done! And the metal plate you mentioned, I'm not goofing with it, I'm trying to get through it!” The Changeling, Thorax, shouted back as he tried clawing past what was referenced. “Then dig around the damn-” “I got it!” Thorax pulled his hand from the hole he made and gave a smug grin to his comrade. When he turned around to enlarge the hole, a large metallic tentacle burst through and grabbed him and pulled him back through. “GAH!!! Pharynx! Help!” “What did I $@#&ing say!? I said, ‘Dig around it,’ but Noooo. You insisted on-” A second metallic tentacle suddenly grabbed Pharynx, causing him to go “ACK!!!” He was then pulled in after and held next to Thorax. “You are unusual looking cockroaches,” a robotic voice said. Pharynx stopped any struggling he was doing for his mind to catch up with what was said. “What did you call us?” He said, clearly ticked. “Evidently, highly evolved cockroaches.” “Okay! Now you crossed the line!” With a flash of green flame, Pharynx changed from a normal looking Changeling into a hulking insectoid. “Noling and nopony calls me and my brother cockroaches and gets away with it!” Pharynx then tore the tentacles off of himself and looked around in anger. “Show your &#@$ing face so I can smash it to bits!” “I technically have no face for you to smash, but violence can come later, as far as your brother is concerned.” Pharynx looked back to Thorax, only to see his brother being choked by another tentacle. He ran to help him, but nearly a dozen tentacles stopped and held him back. “Let my brother go, you son of a $#@%&!” “Cease your violence and struggling, and I will.” At this point, Thorax’s face started becoming pale from lack of oxygen. “Alright! I’ll stop fighting! Just let him breathe!” Pharynx cried out while shifting back to his normal form. As soon as he changed, both him and Thorax were released, allowing the latter to breath and the former to rush to the aid of the latter. “Why did you do that? We didn’t do anything to you.” “You damaged my ship, or me if you wish to get technical. Also, you became violent when I accidentally thought and referred to you and your brother as cockroaches. So, I had to do what I could to try to calm you down, as unconventional as it was.” “Well, now that you’ve gotten your retribution, can me and my brother leave?” Pharynx asked, holding his brother in his arms. “Actually, before you are to leave, I need to know as to what the current news is above ground, as well as a blood sample from one or both of you.” “Alright, fine,” Pharynx said with annoyance as he carefully put his unconscious brother on the ground. “How’re we gonna do this?” In response to his question, an examination table assembled itself in front of him, with two tentacles acting as the ‘nurse.’ “Okay...umm…” “I'm honestly about as creeped out as much as you are,” the voice said. “You are technically in my head, I'm waving tentacles around like a squid or an octopus, and to top it off, I’m oddly calm about it all. So, I'm currently building a body to ease some of those problems. Other problems, I will deal with in due time.” “Fair enough.” Pharynx sat on the table and presented an arm. “And just so you know, I’m no good with history, so…” “No need to worry. I can get the history elsewhere. For now, current events will suffice,” the voice said as a tentacle grasped his arm’s joint to draw some blood. “Okay-ah-well, life is going on. Things go as smoothly as they usually do, trees are growing, the hive my brother and I are from are probably launching the scheduled invasion, and-” The tentacle that was on his arm wrapped around his arm suddenly. “Uhh…” “Where is your hive invading and what is the reasoning?” “Hey, calm down buddy,” Pharynx said. “Why do you want to know?” “For one, I wonder why you are here and not there. It would also provide some much needed knowledge of some of the geography.” “To answer your two questions, plus the implied one, our hive is attacking Canterlot, the Capital of Equestria. It is attached to the mountain that you are in. The reason behind the attack is that we have a shortage of love, which is-” “Your species’ food,” the voice finished for Pharynx, which confused him. “I scanned the DNA from your blood, and found an unknown energy as the ‘fuel’ for your bodies, which you stated was love, an unmeasurable emotion.” “Okay, I didn’t understand that very much, but yeah. And the reason behind Thorax and I aren’t with the invasion force is that coward of a brother of mine decided to chicken out and protest against an invasion. When he was about to get beaten for simply saying that bull#$@&, as the good brother I am, I defended him.” Pharynx sighed and continued. “As a result, we get put in the job of hive scouting.” There was silence between the two for a few awkward minutes, before a voice spoke from behind Pharynx. “As admirable your dedication to your hive is, it is because of such that I cannot let you leave.” “Wait, What!?” Pharynx was able spout out before a series of tentacles suddenly attacked and wrapped him up in a metal cocoon. “One less soldier to fight,” said a tall and imposing figure, before walking out of the shadows. The figure was a complex humanoid machine with a head almost lifelike, but wasn’t true flesh, merely a very complex, chemically-made, green rubber. “And I am ready to aid the land I’m now a part of." (Up on the surface, Canterlot Castle) Chrysalis smiled, showing off her sharp fangs to the pink alicorn. The princess scowled, struggling against the green goo that kept her immobilized. The changeling queen chuckled, “It’s no use struggling,” She said, catching the alicorn’s attention, “No living creature has ever escaped from that.” The pink pony growled, “You won’t get away with this!” She began, trying her best to pull herself free, “Twilight and her friends will-!” She was interrupted when the large door at the end of the hallway flung open, revealing the group of changelings bringing in six ponies. Seeing the purple mare with the changelings caused the queen to smile. She looked back at the princess, “You were saying?” She asked in a smug tone. Using her bug like wings, she flew down to meet the six captured ponies, “You do realize the receptions been cancelled don’t you?” Chrysalis laughed, turning back towards her changelings, “GO!” She ordered, pointing at the door, “Feed!” The black insects smiled, flying out of the throne room. Looking back at the six mares, she couldn’t help but gloat, “It’s funny really,” Chrysalis said, pinching the purple unicorn’s cheek and shaking her hand. The purple mare glared and slapped her hand away, “Twilight here was suspicious of my behavior all along!” She briefly looked at the ponies behind Twilight, smirking, “Too bad the rest of you were too caught up in your wedding planning to see that those suspicions were correct!” The queen’s wings buzzed as she flew back, laughing at the mares. Far off in the distance, a muffled explosion was heard. The Queen paid no attention to that as she continued to gloat. One of the mares, an orange earth pony wearing a stetson hat walked towards Twilight, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Sorry Twi, we should’ve listen to you.” The purple unicorn shook her head, “It’s not your fault, she fooled everyone.” Upon hearing that, the queen smirked, “I did, didn’t I?” She chuckled going towards the balcony to watch her minions cause havoc to the streets of Canterlot. Looking at the destruction below her, she couldn’t help but smile, “This day has been just perfect-!” Suddenly a loud explosion was heard, followed by what sounded like something large falling down, causing the ground to shake. The queen stumbled, grabbing onto the railings and holding on tight, when the shaking stopped she scowled, “You idiots! Be careful! You could’ve killed me!” She yelled at her minions, causing a few of them to stop and look around unsure of what to do. “It was not your hive that made the explosion,” a semi-robotic, male voice said from behind the gathering of ponies. Chrysalis turned around and saw a strange metal being with green looking skin and six metal tentacles sticking out of his back. The queen took a small step back, scowling at the creature, “And just what are you supposed to be? Were you the one who made that explosion?!” She questioned, waving her hand at some of the changelings to come to her aid. “I was the explosion. While we are on the topic of wrongs committed, I should point out several of yours. Attacking a nation’s capital without provocation-” Chrysalis frowns, keeping her eyes locked onto the mysterious being, not knowing what the creature was capable of, she interrupted his accusation, “I only attacked so that my subjects will be able to eat, incase you don’t know, we changelings feed on love, and the Badlands isn’t exactly full of it.” “As if you didn’t have other options,” the creature responded. “The pen is mightier than the sword, you know. Diplomacy would have worked.” “The ponies here aren’t exactly welcoming of anything that isn’t another pony.” Chrysalis said, “They would rather have us starve, they view many other species as monsters, what hope did we have that they’ll listen to us?” “A small chance is still a chance, but I’m now sure that my words have fallen on deaf ears.” The creature’s tentacles tensed in readiness. “If you wish to finish your unneeded conquest, you must defeat me.” Her eyes narrowed, as her horn started to glow. Scowling, she waved away the changelings behind her, “If you insist in getting in my way, then I’ll just have to crush you.” “A creature like you should worry about the boot crushing rather than crushing the boot.” Begin The creature propelled itself forward with it’s tentacles and lashing with a seemingly mild kick, knocking the Queen back. She responded by jumping over the creature, lashing out a magical punch in the process, knocking it off balance, allowing her to pull out a string of kicks, punches, and magical blasts. She then uppercutted him, causing him to fly into the air briefly. Suddenly the creature seemed to recover mid flight, allowing him to start of series of jabs with both his fists and tentacles. His tentacles moved so harmoniously with his attacks, it seemed as though that his punches were indistinguishable from stabs coming from the tentacles. He then grabbed her with the tentacles and slammed her on the ground behind him. Chrysalis recovered quickly, grabbed the nearby wedding altar, and threw it at the creature. The projectile knocked him back into a pillar. Chrysalis stood tall thinking that it was defeated, but his fist suddenly hit the pillar he was leaning up against, causing a small portion of the ceiling to fall on top of her. Then the creature gave a small shout, his body seeming to be cloaked in a purple energy, before lashing a tentacle out and grabbed the Queen. She was then pulled towards it and was kicked away. When she hit the ground, four semi-organic looking creatures surrounded her and pointed their own hands at her as she stood up. They then shot four harpoons at her shoulders, causing her to scream out in pain and be held still. The hole in the ceiling seemed to glow with blue energy as a skull shape appeared in the sky. A giant blue beam suddenly shot through the hole onto the immobilized Chrysalis, causing a small, yet devastating explosion. In the aftermath, the Queen was on the ground, seemingly weakened from the blast. The creature looked down on her in what looked like disgust. “I’m not sure how long you ruled, but you’re lucky to have done so when you could.” Chrysalis growled, looking up at the creature, her eyes burning with hatred. Her horn glowed brightly, firing a powerful blast at the creature, knocking him down to the floor. When he landed, he began to spark and spaz erratically. “Main System compromised by E-e-electro-magnetic pulse. System on reboot. Initializing pain recognition protocols...OW!!! MY BACK AND BRAIN HURTS!!!” Chrysalis stood up, glaring hatefully at the creature below her. Walking up to him, she growled and raised her hoof, stomping at the creature multiple times. “How dare you.” She growled, this time kicking the creature’s head. “I am Queen Chrysalis, the ruler of the Changelings! And now-” Chrysalis stomped on the creature once again, making sure to power up her stomp with magic. “I’m going to be the ruler of Equestria! And nothing!” Another stomp, this time creating a large dent, “Not even some circus freak like you can do anything about it!” “Well how about this?!” A voice yelled, catching the queen’s attention. Turning around she saw a bright pink dome growing rapidly in size. Firing magic at the dome, she watched as the blast did nothing to the energy dome. The queen backpedaled, “No.” Being hit by the dome, she cried out, “NO!” She was blasted out of the throne room, and even busted through a couple of walls before she was sent flying out of the castle, her changelings soon being caught in the blast and fired off as well. With one last final push, the dome popped, sending all of the changelings flying off into the sky in separate directions. Chrysalis could only scream as she watched her plans fall apart around her, she flailed her limbs around, trying to find some way to stabilize herself. She let out one final scream as she was eventually blasted out of sight. Back to the downed creature, as it was spazzing, the group of ponies surrounded the creature, not entirely sure what to do. A yellow pony with pink hair kneeled down and put a hand on him, she looked back at the others. “We need to go find some help.” She said, looking back to the spazzing creature. The blue rainbow haired one crossed her arms, frowning, “Well… but can we even trust it? We’re not really exactly sure why he’s here…” She said a bit unsure. “Rainbow, we have to help! It’s the least we can do.” The white pony with purple hair said, “He did stall the changeling queen so we could rescue everyone!” Rainbow scratched the back of her head, “That’s true…” “Well I believe Rainbow Dash is right to exercise caution.” Celestia said, walking down the steps towards the other ponies, her colorful hair flowing. “But I must also agree with the both of you Fluttershy, Rarity.” The white alicorn looked down at the creature. “We’ll take him to the infirmary, but I’ll have guards to keep an eye on him, just in case.” The others nodded, agreeing with her plan. Celestia turned towards Twilight and gave her a small smile, “I’m sorry about earlier Twilight., I should’ve listened to you” She apologized, causing Twilight to look up to her with wide tearful eyes. “In the meantime why don’t you and your friends get everything ready for the wedding, I’ll take care of our guest.” The purple unicorn looked back and forth between her teacher and the creature wanting to argue, but she nodded, hesitantly calling her friends over to leave the two alone. Current state:-Wanting to know what the heck happened!” The nurse turned to the doctor and gave a simple nod. He ran off out of the infirmary wing while the nurse, a white earth pony mare with pink mane and tail and wearing turquoise scrubs, went to calm the patient down as it started to sit up. “Sir...mister?...Whatever I should call you, you need to remain seated,” she said, gently pushing him back onto the bed. “Whatever happened to you, you need to rest. It isn’t good for your body.” “If I was still organic, I would heartily agree,” the creature agreed, somewhat confusing the mare. “However, such isn’t the case. But to make you feel better, and to let my systems adjust, I will remain seated.” He then sat back down on the bed. “Well...that was easier than most,” the nurse commented. “While I am not organic, you are a nurse. It is best to show respect where respect is due.” “That is the second time you said that. What does that even mean?” The creature sighed as best as he could - considering his lack of lungs. “It means that my body isn’t made of living material, like flesh and bone. I am completely mechanical.” “Huh. Interesting.” “I know, but I think the conversation has derailed before going far.” He placed his hand on his heart (or the general location) and introduced himself. “My name is Brother Eye, and what is your name?” “I’m Nurse Redheart and-” “Where Is He!?!” A loud voice suddenly yelled before the door to the room was almost broken off of it’s hinges. Out of the hallway came a lean Earth pony mare with a blue coat, rainbow mane and tail, and was dressed in casual athletic clothing. As soon as she saw Brother Eye, her magenta eyes seemed to turn blood red in rage. For fear of her patient, Redheart placed herself between the advancing angry mare and him. The mare didn’t seem to care and shoved her aside and continued forward until she had Brother Eye in her grip. She then began to punch him, all while shouting at him. “You did this to me!” *WHAM* “You ruined my life!” *WHAM* “I was going to be a Wonderbolt!” *WHAM* “I was the best flyer in Equestria!” *WHAM* “All of that was taken from me when you took away my wings!” *WHAM* “Why did you do it!?” *WHAM* “Why!?” *WHAM* “WHY!?!” Just before she could land another punch, four metal tentacles sprouted from his back and grabbed the mare’s arms and legs. “I don’t understand your anger,” Brother Eye said to the mare. “You say I took your wings, but I don’t recall doing such, nor did I know you had wings to take.” “BULL****, and you know it!” She yelled back. “I had to perform an aerial stunt for a recent Royal Wedding, and your stupid ship attacked me despite me trying to avoid it! It shoved me away - hurtling off the mountain, and when I woke up from crash, my wings wouldn’t work! They were so screwed up, that they had to be AMPUTATED!!! You monster! Why did you order your ship to strike me down!?” “I had no knowledge of this.” Brother Eye sighed. Just as the mare was about to continue her ranting, he interrupted her. “I find your blaming me as immature. For one thing, I had nothing to gain from taking your wings. I also was unconscious for a week, during which was probably the wedding you were referring to. I had no control over my ship during said time and I had no foreknowledge of your flight plan. So if anyone is to blame, it is not me. Think on that in the hall.” He then turned her around and launched her out of the room with a kick to her rump. After the mare was out of the room, Brother Eye went to where Redheart was shoved aside to see how she was doing. (Outside the room) When Rainbow Dash was kicked out of the room, she ended up ramming into a water cooler, causing water to get spilled on the ground. She recovered quickly, Tartarus bent on going back and finishing the creature, but she quickly slipped and fell onto her butt. When she landed, her head flew back and hit a protruding part of a nearby chair, causing her head to jerk forward in reflex into the front of a fast moving gurney. The impact with the gurney then caused her to go flying down a nearby set of stairs. By the time she reached the bottom, she was at the hooves of her friends, the princesses, and Captain Shining Armor. With no hesitation, Fluttershy began helping her into a chair and tending to her bruises and cuts. Everypony else were simply confused. “Uhh...what just happened?” an orange Earth pony, Applejack, asked. Rainbow said nothing as Fluttershy patched her up. Shining ended up answering. “She evidently was beaten up by the creature. And since she seemed angry at it being awake, she must have decided to attack unprovoked.” “Actually, these bruises look as though she simply bumped her head a few times before falling down the stairs,” Fluttershy quietly said. “That’s an understatement,” Rainbow muttered. “Why were you attacking it in the first place?” Twilight asked. “Why do you think?” Rainbow growled. “That thing took away my chances in life by having his $%#&ing ship in my flight trajectory!” She then began to tear up and cry. “I did ALL I could to avoid that thing, but that $%#&er had some sort of invisible shield thing that knocked me out. And when I wake up a few days later, I...Have...No...WINGS!!!” Fluttershy began to hug her friend, rubbing her back. The other ponies, except the princesses and the captain, joined in the hugging. The princesses and the captain turned to each other to discuss what happened. “It seems obvious from what Ms. Dash said, the creature’s ship had a type of shield spell or defence mechanism in place,” Shining said. “Thus meaning she unintentionally crashed into it.” “That seems possible,” Princess Celestia agreed. “And either he forgot to turn it off, if it could, or he did as Rainbow theorized and sabotaged her flight.” “Regardless if he did it on purpose or not, he needs to at least make things up for her,” Princess Luna finished. “What do you think Cadenza?” No response. Luna looked to where Princess Cadence was standing and saw that she wasn’t there. “Cadenza?” “Cadence, Faust-Damnit!” Shining swore, causing everypony to look at him and then look up the stairway with him and saw Cadence’s tail disappearing around a corner. Immediately, Shining, Rainbow, and the captain’s sister, Twilight, led the group up the stairs until they reached a nurse station. There they found Cadence speaking with the Head Nurse and Nurse Redheart. Their conversation was interrupted when the group arrived at the station. “Please don’t run off like that!” Twilight and Shining almost shouted in unison before glomping her in a hug. “I understand your worrying, but I was just checking what the nurses say about him, and what they said was interesting,” she told them. “What did they say?” Rarity asked. “I love good gossip.” Everypony looked at her with a weird look, confusing her. “What? I was just asking.” “They said that he isn’t alive, and yet acts like he is.” “Do you mean that he’s an undead? Raised by a necromancer of a far off world?” Luna asked, summoning a silver sword into her grasp. “No, it’s that he’s a-” A muffled explosion, coupled with several squeaks, boings, whirls and such, interrupted what she was going to say. Then the door to a room opened up and out came a familiar metal tentacle with a pink and dazed bundle of energy wrapped up in it. The tentacle gently placed Pinkie Pie down in front of the group. Two other tentacles came out and deposited a crumbled mess of what used to be a cupcake next to her head. The three then made itself look like a hand and wagged at Pinkie in a gesture that the ponies realized was the ‘nono’ gesture, before withdrawing back into the room. Pinkie sat up with wide twitching eyes before saying, “I can’t believe I just met someone that doesn’t like cupcakes!” “The reason behind that, Mrs. Pie, is because he has no means to taste or digest it,” Redheart explained. “So you mean...?” Pinkie asked, her eyes watering and her mane and tail losing it’s fluff. “Yes, he can’t, and yes, you’re going back to the waiting room downstairs,” Redheart finished. Pinkie slumped in sorrow and made her way downstairs. “That mare sometimes, it’s a wonder that she hasn’t gotten a restraining order from everypony in current existence,” the nurse huffed. Cadence coughed before continuing. “Anyway, we were hoping we could speak with this ‘Brother Eye,’ please.” “Since he has no medical issues, aside from the lack of life to have any, he is cleared to leave when his release papers are signed,” the head nurse said. “Oh! Oh! Let me sign them!” Twilight jumped up and down like a school filly. Redheart instead handed the papers for Brother Eye to Cadence, causing Twilight to slump in disappointment. Once the papers were signed, they entered the hospital room. “I hope the living Skittle didn’t make me look bad,” Brother Eye said as they entered. “What did you call me?” Rainbow asked peeved. “I’ll explain once my body gets repaired,” he answered. “Which I doubt you’d let me do unless one or all of you were with me so I’m not ‘getting into trouble’. Is my hypothesis correct or, at least, accurate?” “Very accurate,” Celestia confirmed. “Now, what blacksmith and enchanter did you get your body built at, and we can teleport there.” “No blacksmith or enchanter of this world produced my body,” Brother Eye explained. “My ship has an internal factory that produces whatever I need, whenever I need.” Twilight’s eyes widened at hearing that. “That’s amazing!” She shouted, suddenly teleporting in Brother Eye’s face. “I wanna see it!” “Egghead at her finest,” Rainbow muttered. “I would be willing to show you, but on the permission of your sovereign ruler,” he answered. Turning to Celestia, he asked, “Does she have your permission and blessings to do so?” She nodded. “Very well, but I wish for Skittles-” “My name is Rainbow Dash!” Said mare growled. “-Rainbow Dash to join us.” “Why?! To ruin my life more!?” Rainbow shouted. “The opposite of that, actually,” Brother Eye answered. “While I wasn’t directly responsible for the loss of your wings, I believe I may have a way to restore some semblance of your flight back.” “Really?” Everypony said in amazement. Brother Eye gave everypony a look before Twilight, Rainbow, and himself were encased in a violet light. He then said, “Yes.” The three then vanished into violet pixels. (On Brother Eye’s Ship) Pharynx was beyond pissed. While Thorax tried to free him from the tendrils, he was thinking of the many ways to pummel his captor. After a few minutes, the tendrils began to loosen, allowing Pharynx to slip out. Pharynx gave himself a moment before he shape shifted into his Battle-form. “You better be ready, you piece of crap! I’m coming for you!” Author's Note Took forever for me to get this up! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 In a section of Brother Eye’s ship, three figures materialized. “Welcome to my ship,” Brother Eye told his two guests. “Be careful, only I can control the inner workings, so don’t try to get anything to work for you.” The words barely seemed to register in Twilight’s mind as she drooled over the ship’s interior. “I think she went into ‘Shocked Egghead’ mode,” Rainbow snickered. “I think you might want to give her something to keep her in one spot and not break anything?.” In response, he gave Twilight a crimson disc of some kind and Twilight broke from her trance enough to start examining the disc. “That Matrix should keep her busy,” Eye said. “Now, to restore your flight abilities, I’m going to need to see about reinforcing your spine and joints, and then practically replacing your back with cybernetic wings.” “Uh,” Rainbow hesitated, her face becoming pale at what he said. “How much will it hurt?” “I will see about preventing pain during the procedure,” he told her. “It’s after that you should worry about. And the first part is just getting the back on before the wings.” “Okay...so-” A loud monster-like roar was then heard echoing through the ship. Then alarms started to blare. “It seems that the prisoners have escaped,” Eye started moving towards the alarms. “Stay here. My ship’s internal services should get the main surgery done, and keep Twilight safe while I’m recapturing the prisoners.” “Hold on!” Rainbow got into an aggressive stance. “Who are your prisoners?” “Two changelings that weren't admitted to participate in the invasion,” Eye said, causing Rainbow to relax. “The timid one won't be a problem. The aggressive will be more of a problem. So it will be best if you stay here and get the main part of the surgery done.” The floor then opened, causing Eye to fall through. Less than a few seconds later, a surgical table assembled and a semi-organic robot armed with surgical tools appeared. Rainbow could only whimper in fear. In the storage section of the ship, Pharynx prowled in search of his prey. While he searched, he was rather curious about the orbs filled with pixelated energy. “I wonder what these are.” “Something you shouldn’t touch,” a voice said behind him. Pharynx whirled around to see a metal biped. “So, you finally decided to show your face?” Pharynx growled. “About time you did.” “For a time, I didn't have a face to show,” Eye pointed out. “And now that I do, I suppose you want to break it?” “That’s an understatement.” Pharynx said. “More like grind it to dust!” Begin Pharynx charged at Brother Eye immediately, forcing him on the defensive. Relentless strike after strike gave no room for Brother Eye to retaliate. However, the tactic wore Pharynx out fast, giving Eye a chance to snag his legs and slam him on the ground. He then used some of the ship’s interior defenses to beat Pharynx around. However, unexpectedly, Pharynx pulled a tube off of the wall and slammed it into him. When he stood up from the slam, he was suddenly grabbed in Pharynx’s magic and pulled close. Pharynx then physically grabbed him and proceeded to slam and punch him into the ship’s floor, before grabbing Eye with his magic again. A loud, air distorting roar to the face and a punch, and Brother Eye went down. “Pathetic.” Pharynx marched up to Eye’s downed body and was ready to impale him. However, something unexpected happened. Rainbow Dash barely managed to get between the two. “Stop!” “Step aside, pony!” “No! He’s the only hope I have to get my wings back,” Rainbow protested. “He harmed my brother! He will pay for that!” Pharynx bellowed before backhanding her into a bunch of wires and tubes. Some of the wires and tubes broke, causing mysterious, alien fluids to spill all over her and the fluids allowed her to get electrocuted by the wires. Had anyone been watching, they would have noticed that the electrocution started the usual blue look, then shifted to yellow, and then seemed to go through the entire rainbow spectrum. The electrocution ended when something briefly combusted, causing Rainbow to fly out of the tangle and onto the floor. When she regained consciousness, her blurred vision could barely see Pharynx about to impale Eye. Time seemed to slow as Rainbow struggled to her hooves and began to run towards the two. Unfortunately, unlike most cases of feeling as if time slowed down, Rainbow seemed to be moving at ‘normal’ speed. Without warning, she ended up running, face first, into Pharynx’s face. Time then resumed and she was sent in a backward somersault and he was knocked backwards. “GRAH! You will pay for that!” Pharynx bellowed before charging at Rainbow. She braced for impact...only to look up and see that time had slowed again. She walked out of his way, and time resumed, causing Pharynx to miss completely and run headlong into a wall. The pattern between the two continued. Rainbow kept dodging Pharynx’s charge attempts with her newfound speed, and he kept ramming into walls. As the ‘fight’ went on, Rainbow got more cocky and Pharynx got more enraged. “Ha ha! You can’t catch me!” She taunted as she ran from one end of the room to the other instantly and constantly. “Hold still, you bug!” Pharynx bellowed. He suddenly felt some weight on his back. “You’re one to to talk,” Rainbow commented. “Besides, if I’m a bug, does that make you Monster Mantis?” “Get off of me!” Pharynx made a mad grab for her, but she was off of his back by the time he barely moved a muscle. “I’m already off,” She said from the opposite end of the room. She then began running around the room at an insane speed, taunting Pharynx everytime she passed him. “The-time-I-hold-still-is-the-time-I..” Before she could finish her statement, she tripped on a component of some sort, and somehow accelerated before suddenly vanishing in a flash of rainbow lightning and a distortion of air. Pharynx’s head was spinning by the time Rainbow vanished. When his dizziness ended, and saw that she was gone, he went over to Brother Eye’s body and simply stabbed him in the chest. “My vengeance is complete.” He then was enveloped in green flame, returning to his normal size, and ended up collapsing in exhaustion. Unbeknownst to him, Thorax and Brother Eye (in a new body) were watching him. “Now that he’s calm, do you think he’ll listen to reason?” Eye asked. “More than likely,” Thorax replied. “He has a hard time understanding anything when enraged.” “The biggest understatement I’ve heard since I woke up.” Eye then carefully picked up Pharynx with his tendrils, with the intention of brief and proper incarceration.
