Den of Thieves

New Life. New Rules. Rainbow Dash loses her memory and starts anew...as in a new life. It comes and goes. (Mentions the events of both "28 Pranks Later" and "The Mysterious Mare Do Well".)

Yeah, yeah. Another 28 Pranks Later AU story. For some, it may as well be just that. For others, it may as well not be as such...but it actually does mention the events of 28 Pranks Later and The Mysterious Mare Do Well.

In this AU: Rainbow doesn't know, Rainbow doesn't care. Not anymore. Simply giving up, she flies away to start anew. Of course, this proves easier said than done. Adding on to her predicament is a pirate captain by the name of Celaeno who works for a mysterious employer abducts her and, after learning of her situation, decides to make her a honorary member of her crew.

The story and style take inspiration from classic adventure films such as The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Star Wars (1977), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). The genre is full-on adventure and fantasy, but with a twist and much more exposition (I suffer from a distinct case of no Show, Don't Tell). The list of central characters are listed below:

Rainbow Dash (voiced by Ashleigh Ball): The main character of the story, Rainbow Dash is a Pegasus who runs away from her home out of shame due to a prank gone wrong.

Captain Celaeno (voiced by Zoe Saldana): The captain of a pirate crew that sails the Sea of Clouds, Celaeno is an anthropomorphic parrot who takes the despondent Rainbow Dash under her wing.

Mina (voiced by Abby Ryder Fortson): A big-name fan of Princess Luna who works in a comic book store, Mina aspires to be just like her hero.

Dusk Shine (voiced by mainly Benedict Cumberbatch): The unofficial first mate of Captain Celaeno's crew, Dusk Shine doesn't trust Rainbow Dash (or his fellow pirates, for that matter) at all. He has a severe trust issue.

Emerald Skyarrow (voiced by Martin Freeman): A former soldier turned renegade agent, Emerald Skyarrow is the much more reasonable and level-minded one of the duo that is him and Dusk Shine.

This may or may not connect to my other story The Legends of Oz, but the term multiverse exists for a reason.
