Twilight Sparkle shoved her hoof into her mouth in order to keep from adding her vomit to the crime scene.
It had been three days since the Princesses agreed to open the borders between Equestria and Earth.
It had been three days since ponies began disappearing.
It had been six hours since they found where they all had gone.
Before the two unicorn detectives lay a grisly scene: Three ponies where hung up on the wall with nails driven into their hooves to hold them in place. Their cutie marks had been carefully removed along with their respective traits; the pegasus no longer had wings, the unicorn no longer had her horn, but the earth pony seemed to be untouched in that manner.
Trixie trotted carefully up to the bodies and began glaring at them, searching for something; anything to give her a clue as to who could have done such a horrid thing.
The three had been long since dead; their stomachs sliced open and their heads nearly severed from their body.
A truly grisly scene indeed.
"Sparkle, come look at this." Trixie sounded as Twilight trotted back into the room after emptying her lunch into the bushes outside.
Reluctantly, Twilight Sparkle joined her partner at the base of the pegasus's body.
"What do you see?" she asked, her eyes avoiding her murdered kin.
"Look at their flanks." Trixie answered, motioning a hoof towards them all. "
