Chapters The Clocks Stopped Ticking
Ditzy Doo looked around for the right stand in the market. "No," she thought, "I need the apple stand or I can't make Dinky's muffins." Her eyes tried to focus as she became more annoyed at the fact that she couldn't find the stand. They soon stopped and began to move in different directions, "Damn it!" She thought, "Now everypony will stare."
Ditzy took a step forward finally seeing the stand, she ran into something and fell back.
"Watch it retard!" A stallion yelled at her.
"I'm very sorry." She said trying to get up off the ground. She was used to running into things but it seemed she didn't get nearly as nice of a greeting when she did. The ponies used such harsh words, retard, stupid, annoying... The list never seemed to end. Just then Ditzy's thoughts were interrupted.
"Ma'am, are you alright?" A Trottingham accent asked.
Ditzy looked around for the voice and began to get up, only to fall down again.
"Uhm, I'm fine just trying to get up. It's a little hard." Ditzy said struggling to get up.
"Here let me help." The voice said as a light brown hoof was offered to Ditzy.
Ditzy took the hoof and was soon standing back up staring at the stallion whom had helped her.
"Thank you, it's a little hard for me to get up once I've fallen." Ditzy said smiling.
"Well it was a pleasure to help, may I ask, what is your name?" The stallion asked. He was a light brown with spiked dark brown hair with a hourglass for a cutie mark, he had blue eyes and was most likely from Trottingham considering his accent.
"I'm Ditzy, Ditzy Doo." Ditzy said offering a hoof to shake.
"Ah, well, I'm Doctor Whooves, but you can just call me Doctor if you'd like." The Doctor said shaking her hoof.
"Thanks again for helping me up!" Ditzy said starting to fly to the stand.
"Wait I!" The Doctor started before realizing it was too late, "I wanted to know if you wanted to get together sometime."
The next day Ditzy woke up smiling as she baked muffins and brought them to Dinky.
"Here you go my little muffin!" She said giving a muffin on a plate to Dinky.
"Thanks Mommy!" The little filly said as she began to eat.
"Ok Dinky, Mommy has to go do her work, but you can go over to Twist's if you want." Ditzy said grabbing her mailbag.
"Okay Mommy! Bye!" Dinky said as her mom walked outside.
Ditzy was the mail mare in Ponyville, it was a good job, not too hard. She didn't get mixed up too often, of course there was the occasional, "Wrong mail Derpy!" and she would correct it while trying to remind them her name was Ditzy not Derpy. But overall it was a good job, nopony told her what to do, she was free to laze around as long as she delivered all the mail in time, that meant more time for Dinky.
Ditzy walked to the mail office and got today's work.
"Ok first things first Rainbow Dash." Ditzy said looking at the first letter.
Ditzy flew to the cloud home in which Dash lived. Ditzy didn't like Dash too much because she was always treated like a child around her, It was as if Dash thought she wasn't smart enough to handle herself. She hadn't done stupid things she was smart, but because of how she looked made her stupid, and because she was "stupid" it made everypony meaner... It wasn't fair.
Ditzy opened the mailbox whistling as she put the mail in. Luckily Dash would be asleep at this hour so she didn't have to deal wit-.
"HEY DERPY!" Dash called.
Ditzy facehoofed, "Still Ditzy, Dash, same as always."
"Whatever, ooh, whats the mail?" Dash said grabbing the mail out of the box.
"Uhm I don't know, but I have to go, so um bye." Ditzy said while Dash was preoccupied with the mail.
Ditzy flew all over Ponyville delivering the mail, she went to Bon Bon and Lyra's, Twilight's house, and even Sugarcube Corner, where she got a muffin. Soon there was only one letter left.
"Hmmm ah lets see its... Oh look its the Doctor's mail!" Ditzy said as she ate her muffin.
The mail was labeled Doctor Whooves and looked quite official. Ditzy looked at the address and hurried over to the Doctor's home.
Ditzy looked for the home and soon found it while flying and looking around. It was a nice house, with small flowers blooming in a garden. Ditzy walked up to the door and knocked realizing there was no mailbox. The door was soon answered revealing none other than the Doctor.
"Uhm, hello Doctor!" Ditzy said smiling.
"Ah why Miss Ditzy! What are you doing here?" The Doctor asked.
"Oh I'm the mail mare." Ditzy said showing her mailbag, "I came to give you your mail, so um here it is!" She held out the mail.
The Doctor took the mail smiling at Ditzy and looked down at it, his smile faded and was replaced by a more serious look.
"Miss Ditzy," he said his smile returning, "do you think you would like to get dinner with me sometime?"
"I uhm, like a date?" Ditzy asked her face showing worry. The last time she went on a date it was with that monster he had, he had... Well, he had done something unforgivable, that stupid Pokey Pierce, he had done the same thing to Berry Punch too and now they were both single mothers.
"I suppose like a date, I mean if you don't want to..." The Doctor said as his ears flattened and his smile disappearing.
"Oh I would love to, uhm here, how about I meet you here at six o' clock tomorrow night, okay?" Ditzy said working out all the details in her head, "Here's my number." She said smiling and handing him a small piece of paper, "Call me if you need any help with details."
"Well, bye Miss Ditzy!" He said smiling. Ditzy had said yes! His mind was racing, what would he wear how should he act? Where should they go...
Ditzy smiled as she walked back to her home. She had to pick out what to wear, get a sitter for Dinky, and do so many other things. She had to tell her best friend Vinyl Scratch about this! It was all so exciting! Ditzy sat down on her bed and fell asleep smiling and thinking about the date.
AN: Yep, this is the new story, it took a while for me to come up with the first chapter but I did it! I hope you like it!
Ditzy Doo prepared for her date, she had gotten Vinyl to foalsit for here. Ditzy curled her mane and got into a simple red dress, she hoped she wasn't overdoing it. It had been a while since she had been on a date. Ditzy didn't really like dates, they were usually awkward for her.
The conversations usually consisted of how her eyes became the way they were or who the father of her daughter was. They were both topics she hated. Everypony talked about her eyes. She remembered one day when she was picking up Dinky from school.
"What's with your eyes?" Diamond Tiara yelled at Ditzy looking disgusted.
They got hurt when I was little." Ditzy said looking around for Dinky, where was she? Ditzy didn't want to be in this conversation.
"They look weird." The filly sneered as her friend walked over.
"Ya they look so weird." Silver Spoon added trying to get on Diamond's good side.
"Uhm, that isn't very nice girls, please stop. Ditzy said trying not to get mad.
"Freak! You are so weird!" Diamond and Silver yelled as Ditzy looked down at her hooves frowning.
P-please stop." Ditzy said quietly, she was used to teasing, but by two fillies?
Just then Filthy Rich walked over to his daughter as Silver Spoon ran off.
Diamond! What are you doing?" Filthy Rich growled at his daughter, he had told her many times she shouldn't tease other ponies, it wasn't nice.
"Putting this freak in her place." Diamond laughed before realizing who she had said that to, "Daddy! I-I um..."
Ditzy kept looking down at her hooves, tears falling from her face. Why, why did she have these stupid eyes?
"Young lady! You apologize to this mare right now!" Filthy Rich yelled at his daughter.
Diamond Tiara gave a fake apology and ran off. "Miss, I am so sorry for my daughter, I have told her before she isn't supposed to tease other ponies." Filthy Rich said trying to comfort Ditzy.
"I-it's fine, I'm used to it." Ditzy sniffled.
Filthy Rich walked away as Dinky appeared and walked over to her mother. Dinky stopped, what was wrong?
"Mom, are you-" Dinky began
"Dinky, let's just go, ok?" Ditzy said wiping tears from her eyes.
Ditzy tried to get the day out of her mind, tonight would be happy. Just then there was a knock at the door. "Coming!" Ditzy called. She opened the door to find Vinyl standing, smiling.
"Sup dude, so where is Dinks?" Vinyl said.
"Aunt Vinyl, Aunt Vinyl!" Dinky said running out and going to greet the DJ pony.
"Heya girl! You ready to hang out?" Vinyl said mussing up Dinky's hair.
"Ya I am!" Dinky said beaming.
"Ok, Vinyl, Dinky's bedtime is no later then 9:00, so do what you want before then, I have some food in the fridge you can heat up, or you can try to make some. If the house is on fire when I get home, I'm gonna blame you, Vinyl." Ditzy said hugging her best friend.
"Bye Ditzy! Have a good time with Whooves!" Vinyl said smiling.
Ditzy stepped out of the house and walked towards the Doctor's house. As she walked she smiled at the stallions who's jaws had dropped at the sight of her, did she really look that nice? Somepony even whistled at her, she hoped she wasn't attracting too much attention.
Soon Ditzy arrived at the Doctor's house and knocked on the door.
"Coming!" A thick Trottingham accent called from within the home.
The door soon opened as the Doctor stepped out.
"Hey Doctor! You ready?" Ditzy said smiling.
"I uh, you look.... amazing." The Doctor said his eyes wide.
Ditzy smiled at the Doctor as he snapped out of his trance, "So where did you have in mind?"
The Doctor's smile faded, "Ditzy I, I was trying to make this date perfect and I um, I sort of forgot to make reservations anywhere..."
"That's fine, I know a good place around here." Ditzy said still smiling.
The two ponies soon arrived at the restaurant in question, it was a nice place literally named Restaurant, so creative. The Doctor walked ahead and opened the door for Ditzy. Ditzy in turn blushed at the gesture.
"Thank you." Ditzy smiled.
"Oh its no problem, I always open a door for a beautiful mare." The Doctor replied, Ditzy blushed harder.
They walked in and sat at a small table for two, after ordering Doctor began to talk.
"I'm so glad I could go out with you Miss Ditzy." He said smiling.
"Please Doctor, just call me Ditzy, I'm very glad as well." She answered.
"So, do you live alone or with a parent of some sort?" Doctor asked.
"Oh, I just live with my daughter, Dinky, she's at home right now." Ditzy said smiling thinking about Dinky.
"Ah, a daughter, how nice, I really do like kids." He said.
"You probably get to work with them alot, considering you are a doctor." Ditzy said.
Doctor began to laugh, "I suppose I do." He would tell her about his job later, she didn't need to know right now.
"Ya, I suppose being a mail mare isn't nearly as exciting." Ditzy said.
"Oh I bet it's fun, you probably know everypony in town!" The Doctor said his eyes shining.
"For better or for worse." Ditzy said laughing lightly.
"Yes, there are many interesting characters in this town, including one named hmmm lets see, Pinkie Pie?" The Dcotr said thinking of his meeting with the pink party pony.
"Let me guess, was there a party cannon?" Ditzy said snickering.
"Was that what that was? I couldn't hear anything for a minute!" He replied.
The waiter soon came over and brought their food, a small salad for Ditzy and a dandelion sandwich for Doctor.
"Wow!" The Doctor exclaimed as he took a bite of the sandwich, "This is amazing!"
"Yep, the sandwiches here are amazing, the owner, Golden Harvest, uses a bunch of fresh ingredients." Ditzy replied eating her salad.
"Well my compliments to her then!" The Doctor said taking another bite.
After finishing their food the two walked out of the restaurant, Doctor had paid for it all, Ditzy had tried to not let him saying it costed too much but he insisted.
They walked back to The Doctor's house, both smiling at how well the date had gone.
"Well I um." The Doctor started, he was terrible at goodbyes.
"That was a great date and I hope to do it again." Ditzy said giving him a small kiss on the cheek.
The Doctor blushed as a goofy smile appeared on his face, "Goodbye Miss Ditzy." He said stumbling into his house and then falling down still smiling.
Ditzy facehoofed and closed the door for him laughing all the way home.
Doctor Whooves woke up... In his kitchen, "Dear Celestia," He said rubbing a bump on his head, "how did I get this?" He soon remembered and chuckled about it. He walked up picking up the letter he had gotten two days ago. He hadn't opened it yet and wondered what it could be. He had been preparing for Ditzy, did she remember him at all? She had to at least a small bit.
The Doctor emerged from a blue telephone box, the landing had been a tad rough.
"W-who's there?" Ditzy asked looking around for where the noise had come from.
The Doctor looked at the small filly in question, she was a pegasus who had golden hair and a grey coat, and also a small cutie mark consisting of bubbles.
"If you're just here to bully me then go away!" She yelled wiping tears from her eyes.
The Doctor walked out, "She's just a filly," he thought, "I have to cross through here, she can't be able to do anything that would harm anypony."
"Who are you?" Ditzy asked.
"Well little filly, the first question is, who are you?" Whooves asked.
"Hey, I asked first!" Ditzy said giggling, "I'm Ditzy, Ditzy Doo."
I am The Doctor." He said smiling.
"A doctor?" Ditzy asked, "For like helping sick people?"
"Well, its something along the lines of helping." The Doctor said, "Now then, why were you crying?"
"Bullies, they pick on me because my eyes are different." Ditzy said.
"Ah, but different, are the best kind of ponies." The Doctor said smiling.
He had visited her as a filly, and they had become great friends. After he had known her awhile, he showed her the TARDIS, she had wondered what it was for considering he was a doctor. He had to tell her the truth, she was old enough now. Yes, Ditzy had aged, she was in her teenager years when she found out.
"Its so big on the inside," Ditzy said looking around in the TARDIS, "Doctor, what do you do for a living?
"I told you, I'm a doctor." He replied.
Ok then why," she said walking over to him, "is your cutie mark a hourglass, why do you always leave so suddenly, and why do you have this amazing phone booth? Please, just tell me the truth, I'm not a filly anymore."
He sighed, "Smart as ever Ditzy, I am in fact not a doctor, I'm sorry for lying, but, I didn't want you to get hurt."
"Get hurt? How would I get hurt?" She questioned.
"Look, I am an adventurer of sorts, adventures get messy and I wouldn't want something bad to happen to you."
"I highly doubt an adventurer needs a Trottingham phone booth, what is it used for?" Ditzy questioned.
It, um, does stuff...." The Doctor trailed off.
"We all do stuff, could you describe it a little more?" Ditzy asked.
"Well," The Doctor said sitting down, "I can try to explain."
Over the course of two hours the Doctor explained or at least tried to about what he did with all of the "things that did stuff". There were times where Ditzy didn't believe him, it was just impossible. After explaining it all The Doctor looked to her.
"I don't want you to get hurt, you can't come with, I'm sorry." He said quietly.
"I wont get hurt, I'm a mare, I can handle myself." Ditzy said.
"No, you aren't coming with." The Doctor said raising his voice ever so slightly.
"I know I can, just let me try!" Ditzy cried.
"Ditzy, I care about you, I'm not letting you risk everything and come with me." He said.
"Please just, don't go." Ditzy said as tears rolled down her face.
"I can't promise anything." The Doctor said.
That was the day he had left for good, left her and never came back. He couldn't go back, she would want to come and he wouldn't let her get hurt. It took him a long time to get over what he had done, saying everything then leaving. It was heartbreaking. Over the years of his traveling he had still thought about her, what she looked like, the color of her coat, everything he could remember he went over in his head when he woke up, and when he fell asleep he would go through the list again.
He could have stayed, he could have tried to at least. There was always something to be done though, something to be defeated, somepony he had to save. It wasn't his favorite job, having to ditch what he cared and fight, but it was his job.
The Doctor had found out about Ditzy when traveling, he had gotten a small letter from one of his friends, Roseluck, who had told him about a mail mare in Ponyville. She had described the filly he knew and remembered, so when he first got to Ponyville he looked everywhere for her. He had tried the post office, but she was always out, he had asked around, but the results were never helpful. On the day he was about to give up he heard a small voice, Ditzy's voice.
She had been pushed down, even as a mare, nopony respected her, and it wasn't fair. The Doctor helped her up hoping she remembered him, he needed to talk to her again to see if anything had stuck with her, if anything was still there. He didn't care if they weren't dating or they had just met, it had been too long for the Doctor and he wasn't going to wait again.
He had Roseluck mail a letter to him hoping that Ditzy would come, when she did he asked her, she had said yes, there must be something there. She must still remember him, though at the time he was a unicorn, regeneration had caused that. He had been through nearly every race, unicorn, earth pony, pegasus. Even if he had a horn or wings it didn't matter he was going to see the filly he had remembered, the golden mane, the grey coat, and the bubbles. It wasn't going to be just a dream again. It would be real life, she would be there, he would see her.
When the day of the date had come the Doctor had been so excited, running about the house, thinking about Ditzy. When he had answered the door he didn't expect her to look so nice, it didn't matter of course. The date had gone perfectly and the Doctor was happy with it, and at the end when she had given him a small kiss on the cheek, he knew she remembered him. She wouldn't have done that if she hadn't. She remembered him and he could visit her, and see her. It was a dream come true.

"Doctor?" Ditzy called out, "Are you there?"
The grey, pegasus mare looked for the Doctor, where was he? He always came at this time, they always met under a large willow tree. But where was he today? It was the right time, Ditzy was sure of it. Ditzy stepped foward only to hear a small crunch. She looked down and noticed a note. Ditzy picked it up and began to read.
Dear Ditzy,
I am sorry, but I must go, I am leaving you here, it is safe and I don't want you hurt. Please remember me and always know that I cared about you.

Doctor
Ditzy's heart shattered, he was gone? A large lump in in throat appeared. Tears began to roll down her face as she made a small whimper.
"Doctor." Ditzy whispered.
Ditzy snapped awake and gasped. She looked around her room, it was still the same, no tree, no letter, and no Doctor. Ditzy sighed and got up to go to the bathroom. It was always the same dream, having to re-live the day her heart broke, the day he left. Of course there was still the question of the new Doctor.
Ditzy had thought about him, she knew he was the Doctor, same cutie mark, same accent, and same color, It had to be, the only thing was the fact he wasn't a unicorn. But did he remember her? He had asked her name, and had introduced himself, it was odd. She would think the Doctor would remember her. They had known each other for most of her foalhood, but he could have gotten hurt, lost his memory, but that still didn't explain why he was in Ponyville.
Ditzy walked out of the bathroom and into her closet and pulled out a medium sized box. Ditzy smiled as she read the label, "Doctor". Opening the box carefully she looked inside. The box contained many objects from Ditzy's time with the Doctor. On top of the stack was a hand drawn picture by a small filly. There was a brown stallion with a hourglass cutue mark and a little grey pegasus flying above him. Under that there was a hourglass, just like the one on the Doctor's flank. Ditzy smiled as she picked up the hourglass and turned it, making the sand inside flow.
There were many more objects in the box, pictures, trinkets, a small box sat underneath everything. Ditzy sighed as she picked up the box, it was the Doctor's TARDIS, or at least a small version of it. Ditzy had made it the day the Doctor had left and was planning to show it to him the next day. She never got to.
Ditzy put away the box and walked downstairs carrying the TARDIS with her. She set it down on the table and sighed. She would need to go to the Doctor's, she had to tell him she remembered. She had the box as proof. Dinky wouldn't wake up for awhile. Ditzy looked around and pulled out a pen and paper and wrote a small note telling Dinky where she had gone. It wouldn't take too long, just a small visit.
Ditzy picked up the box and put it on her back, this would be the only way to carry it. She opened the front door to her house and closed it behind her. She hoped nopony would see the box as she walked to the house. Just then Pinkie walked over.
"Hey Ditz! Whats that?" Pinkie said pointing to the TARDIS. Pinkie walked over to it and tried to pick it up.
"PINKIE! Don't touch!" Ditzy said slapping her hoof away, she didn't normally raise her voice, but she didn't want anything to happen to the TARDIS, it couldn't get hurt.
"Geez, sorry," Pinkie said looking hurt, "I didn't know it was that important."
"Its ok, it's just, this is really special to me and I can't let anypony touch it, I don't want it to get hurt." Ditzy said shifting the TARDIS on her back.
"Okie dokie lokie!" Pinkie said as her smile returned, "See ya later Ditzy!"
Ditzy sighed and kept on walking, this was going to be a long walk.
Ditzy finally approached the house, it had been a long walk, apparently all the elements thought the replica was amazing and they all tried to do something with it. Ditzy each time had to tell them not to touch and had to push them away.
Ditzy smiled as she saw the house, she walked up to the door and knocked. The door soon opened and Ditzy smiled brighter as she saw the Doctor.
"Doctor, I'm sorry to come so early, but I have something very important and it couldn't wait until later." Ditzy said all in one breath.
"Well come in then, come in." The Doctor said letting her in. Once they were both inside and sitting, Ditzy pulled the TADRDIS out.
"Is that?" The Doctor smiled, his eyes shining, "The TARDIS?"
"You remember!" Ditzy said jumping up and hugging him.
"Of course I do Ditzy, I remember you, I could never forget you." He said smiling.
All of Ditzy's doubts and fears washed away, it was the Doctor, but there were still questions.
"Why did you leave?" Ditzy asked as she sat back down.
"Ditzy, I told you, I'm not letting you get hurt. I don't want the mare I cared about the most to die." He sighed.
Ditzy smiled sadly and put her hoof on top of the Doctor's, "I wont get hurt and I know if I did you would protect me."
The Doctor looked up at Ditzy, she wasn't a filly anymore she was an adult, she understood even if it wasn't safe that she and the Doctor were meant to be. Fate has an odd way of showing itself, and it was fate that brought them together and it would be fate that kept them together.
"Doctor, for all those years, I missed you, the day you left was the worst day of my life." Ditzy said, "Couldn't you have stayed?"
"I could have, but I was afraid, I didn't want to lose you." The Doctor replied.
"Well you're here with me now, and I'm safe." Ditzy said standing up and walking over to the Doctor.
"I suppose that's true-" He said and was about to say more before Ditzy stopped him by giving him a small kiss.
"I'm here with you and you are not going to leave again." Ditzy said when she broke the kiss.
The Doctor nodded and for the first time since he had left Ditzy he felt genuinely happy.

The Doctor and Ditzy walked through the market the next day, Dinky was at Twist's house so they decided it would be fun. The couple walked around looking at all the stands. Ditzy had never seen all of them, she was always too busy, and the Doctor had just moved to Ponyville.
As the two walked through, a pegasus pony appeared.
"Ditzy? Are you dating somepony?" Rainbow asked as she saw the Doctor.
"I um..." Ditzy mumbled looking down at her feet.
"Is this Dinky's dad?" Rainbow asked oblivious to the awkwardness.
Ditzy became stiff at the mention of Dinky's dad, she hated talking about it. The Doctor saw this and began to talk.
"Miss Rainbow Dash? I'm sorry but uhm, me and Ditzy need some time alone, sorry." The Doctor said trying not to yell or do anything that would make Dash stay.
"Time alone? Ohhhh," Dash said as a sly grin appeared on her face, "Ok, see you later."
When Dash was gone the Doctor looked to Ditzy, "Are you ok?"
Ditzy nodded unable to speak, the Doctor took this as a "I'm fine, but I really just want to leave". The Doctor led Ditzy back to his house, had her sit down, and gave her a glass of water.
"Now then, what's wrong?" He asked.
"D-Dinky's dad." Ditzy whispered as she shook.
The Doctor's eyes widened, "Please don't tell me that happened to you."
Ditzy nodded sadly, her eyes stopped facing the right way and they began to move, making her look like she was looking in a different direction.
The Doctor looked around before whispering his question, "Rape?"
Dizty nodded and began to sob, she loved Dinky, more than anything, but why did she have to come from something that wasn't love.
The Doctor walked over to Ditzy and sat down next to her, "Shhhh." He whispered trying to calm her, "It's ok, you don't have to talk about anything you don't want to."
Ditzy wiped tears from her eyes and began to quiet down, she was glad the Doctor was here, to comfort her, to stay with her. Ditzy sighed and looked up at him. After all the years he had been gone, he still looked the same, the blue eyes, the cutie mark, the spiked uncontrollable mane. It was him, and now they were back together, together again.
The next day Ditzy walked around town delivering mail, the day had been nice, sunny and nopony had bugged her, asking her about the Doctor, though Dash kept on trying to ask how he was in bed to which Ditzy always blushed and remained silent. Life was nice, simple, happy.
Ditzy stepped into Sugarcube Corner, "Mr. and Mrs. Cake?" She asked as she pulled out a letter.
"Oh right here dear." Mrs. Cake answered from behind a stack of treats.
Ditzy handed her the letter and smiled, "I don't suppose you have any muffins do you?"
"Of course Ditzy." Mr. Cake said walking out from the back room, "What kind?"
"Blueberry please." Ditzy said pulling out some bits.
When out of the store Ditzy ate her muffin happily and looked around, just then a voice came from behind her.
"We have to get out of here." The Doctor said popping up beside Ditzy.
"What?" Ditzy asked, "Why?"
"Look, something bad is going to happen, I know it, we have to leave." The Doctor said.
"Well what is it? How bad?" Ditzy asked throwing away the rest of her muffin.
"Something is out there, I know it is, I left for a reason, to protect you. You are not going to get hurt, nor is Dinky." The Doctor replied.
"But I, you, I just found you again! I don't want to lose you!" Ditzy said as tears formed in her eyes.
The Doctor turned and looked at Ditzy sadly, "Ditzy I love and care about you, I promise I wont get hurt, but you have to swear that you will leave."
Ditzy looked down as the Doctor put a hoof on her shoulder, "Please don't cry Ditzy." He said quietly.
"What about everypony else?" Ditzy asked looking back up.
"Whatever the thing is it's targeted on me, I'm not taking any chances by letting you keep near me, if you got hurt it would crush me." The Doctor said.
Ditzy sighed, the Doctor was right and she knew that, but why did she have to leave? She could help, somepony could take care of Dinky, "Okay." Ditzy whispered wiping tears from her eyes.
Ditzy packed her and Dinky's bags silently, Dinky had asked where they were going to which Ditzy had replied, "Somewhere safe". Ditzy sighed as she zipped up her bag. She didn't want to go she wanted to stay in Ponyville, with the Doctor.
Ditzy looked in her closet for anything she could have missed. She spotted a medium sized box out of the corner of her eye. Ditzy walked over to the box and smiled sadly. The small box labeled "Doctor" was opened just a crack. Ditzy picked up the box and brought it to her bed.
She opened the box smiling at it's contents, the hourglass, pictures, drawings. She dug through the box pulling out items carefully until she reached the bottom, a long multicolored scarf sat at the bottom, Ditzy picked it up smiling.
"Mr. Doctor, why are you wearing that scarf?" The young Ditzy asked.
"Well little Ditzy, it was knitted for me by a friend, a witty little knitter named Madame Neighstradamus." The Doctor replied unwrapping the scarf from his neck.
"Does it keep you warm?" Ditzy asked smiling.
"Well yes it does, and now," He said wrapping it around Ditzy's neck, "it should keep you warm too."
Ditzy picked up the scarf and tied it around her neck.
"I don't care what the Doctor says, he isn't going to do this alone." She said to herself.

Ditzy sat in her bedroom alone, Dinky was at her grandmother's house for the week. Ditzy sighed, the Doctor couldn't know about her staying, he would force her to go and she would never see him again, she wouldn't leave. She knew she could find a way to stay, whether it involved sneaking, or just coming out and saying she was staying, it didn't matter. She would help the Doctor whether he like it or not.
Just then there was a knock at the door and a small, "Hello?"
Ditzy panicked, it was the Doctor. He was making sure she had left, making sure he didn't have to make her leave. Ditzy looked around for someplace to hide and spotted her closet, she flew up to the top shelf and hid under a large, fuzzy blanket. The front door opened with a creak , the Doctor had walked in, why did she leave the door unlocked?
"Ditzy?" The Doctor called walking around, "Ditzy? Hello, you there?"
Ditzy became silent, her breathing barely heard, he couldn't find her, dear Celestia don't let him find her.
The Doctor walked into her room, looking around, "Ditzy?" He whispered. The Doctor walked over to the closet looking at it for a second before turning his back on it. Dizty breathed a small sigh as he left the room, she hadn't been caught, she was safe.
The Doctor walked back and threw open the closet door and ripped the blanket off Ditzy, "What are you still doing here?!" He hissed.
"I-I... You aren't going to do this alone! I'm coming with even if you don't want me to!" Ditzy said regaining her confidence.
"I told you it isn't safe!" The Doctor said turning his back on Ditzy.
"You know what, that's all I hear, "It isn't safe, you could get hurt." Everypony in this town treats me like I'm a dumb ass and it's all because of these stupid eyes! I get treated like a child even though some ponies in this town aren't fit to live by themselves!" Ditzy yelled.
The Doctor turned around and stared Ditzy in the eyes, "You aren't stupid, don't you ever dare say that about yourself. I have met many ponies in my lifetime, you are by far one of the smartest I have ever met, I trust you completely, but if something were to happen I couldn't live with myself!"
"Doctor, you have to let me come with, I know about all the dangers, you've told me before, all the creatures, the Daleks, the Weeping Angels, the Gelths! Just ket me help! Please, just please." Ditzy cried, "Remember the time you said to me, even if something is hard you have to live through it?"
"But..." The Doctor began.
'No more buts, I am coming with you and you are not going to do anything about it!" Ditzy said pointing at him.
"Well, I suppose we should get in the TARDIS then, my assistant." The Doctor said kissing Ditzy on the cheek.
Ditzy ran to the large willow tree crying, why was she different? The Doctor walked out from behind the tree.
"Ditzy, whats wrong?" He asked.
Ditzy didn't reply instead she ran into the Doctor's arms and sobbed louder.
The Doctor stiffened for a minute, unsure of what to do, before he gently stroked the crying mare's mane, "Ditzy, please tell me, what happened?
Ditzy sniffled and looked at the Doctor, "T-They all hate me, the way I look, act, feel, I want it to stop!" She cried.
"Nopony hates you Ditzy, everypony is different, look at me, I sit all day at this willow tree, I think about what's wrong with the world and try to fix it. Being different isn't bad, take this flower for example," The Doctor said pulling a small tulip from the ground, "Its yellow, yet the rest around here are red, is it bad to be yellow?"
"No." Ditzy said wiping tears from her eyes.
"Well lets say you're this yellow flower, and the rest are red, if you based this flower on it's ability to be red, the common pony would find it weird, odd even. But, if you base this flower on it's beauty and talents, you would find it is better then any red flower. Ditzy, you are not stupid, you are not weird, you are beautiful and are special, there is no word to describe you and there may never be, but that doesn't matter, be you, be different." The Doctor said smiling.
Ditzy smiled and picked up the flower sniffing it, "Thanks Doctor." She said giving him a hug.
The Doctor smiled and hugged Ditzy, he wished this moment could last forever.
"Doctor?" Said Ditzy, snapping him out of his daydream, "You okay?"
"Fine, I'm fine." The Doctor said walking around the inside of the TARDIS, figuring out the controls.
"Okay then, so exactly where are we going?" Ditzy asked sitting down.
"Well first we have to pick up some groceries..." The Doctor said jokingly.
"Seriously Doctor, where are we going?" Ditzy asked unable to not smile at his joke.
"Ok so, the creature, although we don't know exactly what it is, is somewhere in Ponyville, it's giving off a frequency that we can tap into and travel to the location of, so we just have to figure out what we're up against, though it could be anything." The Doctor said sighing.
"Well it can't be too bad, the worst we could come across are the Weepers." Ditzy said giving the Weeping Angels a small nickname.
The Doctor chuckled, Ditzy was right how bad could it be? He set up the TARDIS, as it began to start up Ditzy stood up shaking, "Could it be bad?" She asked.
"Nonsense, and if it is I will protect you." The Doctor said nuzzling her.
He went back over to the controls, "Ok we're nearly there in 3...2...1!" At the number one smoke began to leak from the control pad. The Doctors eyes widened, the TARDIS almost never broke down. What was wrong?
"Doctor! Why is it smoking?" Ditzy yelled panicking as the TARDIS began to shake.
"I don't know! We should have been at the location from the frequency!" The Doctor yelled running around looking for the problem.
"Just hit it and make it work!" Ditzy yelled as her eyes went in different directions.
"Hitting will break it that's not how machinery works!" The Doctor yelled.
Suddenly the TARDIS stopped and hit the ground outside, they were somewhere, but where?
"Should we look?" Ditzy said as she gulped.
"Yes, we have to see whats out there." The Doctor said opening the door. as steam poured out from the control panel.
The two waited for the smoke to clear and looked outside. There was a tree a willow tree along with tulips growing everywhere, a small filly sat reading a book.
"Is that? Me?" Ditzy asked looking at the filly.
"Oh dear." The Doctor said, they had traveled back in time.

"Is somepony there? Doctor?" Young Ditzy called.
"Stay quiet." The Doctor whispered, "Not a word."
The Doctor sighed as they both hid in the tulips, soon another stallion appeared, a brown one who looked exactly like the Doctor, because he was in fact.
"Hello Ditzy." The other Doctor said as he approached the filly.
"Hi Doctor!" Ditzy said standing up and jumping around him. She always got excited when the Doctor was here.
"What day is this?" The Doctor whispered to Ditzy, "I can't remember it."
"How should I know, I have nearly the worst memory." Ditzy whispered back.
"Good point." The Doctor said as they both continued to watch the scene.
"So little Ditzy Doo," The other Doctor said mussing up young Ditzy's hair, to which the other Ditzy instinctively tried to push it down even though it wasn't being touched, "What did you learn in school?"
As the two others talked Ditzy looked over at the Doctor, "How are there two of you?"
"Its quite simple actually, we are in a day that loops, so since I was here once, it makes it so that everyday when this day loops, it makes it go again with me already in it, therefore I can be at the place once. The loop runs on the day that happened last, so the first time I visited on this day is copied into the loop's memory so it's replaying the day over and over again, in other words we are in a place where we are already." The Doctor whispered, "Any questions?"
"Just one, if we were to go out and show ourselves, wouldn't that create a time paradox?" Ditzy whispered.
"I suppose it would, it could affect your adult life and mine as well, we are not going to risk that, ever played the game Metal Gear Solid?" The Doctor asked.
"Um no, what does that have anything to do with it." Ditzy said.
"Well in that game you are a pony spy and there are guards, if you get spotted you get hurt and it can affect stuff, apply that to here." The Doctor said.
"Since when do you play video games?" Ditzy whispered.
"Since they were invented, they are quite fun, I mean its just fun to know that you control this little tiny character and-" The Doctor began.
"Shhhh!" Ditzy said sticking a hoof in the Doctors mouth.
When she pulled her hoof out the Doctor said one thing, "You taste like muffins."
"Ok we can go now," The Doctor said, "You and I have left, so we can get back in and fix the TARDIS."
"Do you have the tools to do it?" Ditzy asked.
"Of course I do, I always have a spare kit and the sonic screwdriver in the TARDIS." The Doctor said laughing.
"C'mon lets just get in." Ditzy said pulling the Doctor in the TARDIS.
Once they were inside the Doctor got to work trying to fix it. Ever so often he asked for Ditzy to grab something for him something. Soon it had become the next day, the day had looped.
"Doctor? Does every day loop?" Ditzy asked.
"Every day in that is before the present day does, the world has set itself so it can tell what days to loop and what days it shouldn't. Its quite remarkable, that means instead of your world just having lava and changelings below it, there is actually something telling the world to loop days." The Doctor said smiling.
"Ok so I have like yesterday always looped right? But doesn't that mean that we would be out there too, in that loop? Because you said the loop will copy us into it." Ditzy said.
"You mean the loop outside," The Doctor said his eyes widening, "oh no."
Just then there were whispers outside as the Doctor and Ditzy talked.
"Ok we have to get out of here now!" The Doctor said rushing around the TARDIS, punching in commands.
"Um, ok!" Ditzy said as she sat down.
"Ok lets see, set time and set place..." The Doctor mumbled to himself.
The TARDIS soon lurched into motion as it began to move through time and space.
"Doctor? Is this completely safe?" Ditzy asked.
"It's 99.9% safe, there is a .1% chance that we will get sucked into time and be dead, but that's just .1!" The Doctor said going over the controls.
"Ok Doctor, that's the part where you say, "Its ok Ditzy, its completely safe and there's no way you could get hurt.", not that I could die!" Ditzy sighed.
"But that would be lying, oh and sit down, the TARDIS could move during the trip, no falling." The Doctor said sitting down next to her.
"You've never lied? Like never ever?" Ditzy asked smiling.
"Well no not really, I did once say a unicorn wasn't fat but that's only because he had his horn pointed directly at me." The Doctor said laughing.
"Doctor," Ditzy said quietly, "Is everypony going to be ok?"
The Doctor looked over at Ditzy, "They'll be fine, as will you, I will make sure of it." He whispered.
Ditzy smiled and rested her head in the Doctor's lap and soon fell asleep.
The TARDIS usually didn't take so long to get somewhere, but it seemed it was going slower, probably from the landing and getting hurt.
As the TARDIS landed the Doctor shook Ditzy awake, "We're here, Ditzy wake uppppp."
"Meh, I wanna sleeeeep." Ditzy said trying to get back to bed.
"You've been sleeping for awhile it's time to wake up." The Doctor said still shaking her.
"Fine, fine! I'm up, I'm up." Ditzy yawned.
"Well good, because it's going to be a long day." The Doctor said.
The two opened the TARDIS doors, expecting to see Ponyville, instead they got a much different sight.
"Doctor, where is this?" Ditzy said looking around.
"The Canterlot gardens it seems, that's strange, it should have brought us to Ponyville..." The Doctor trailed off.
"Uhm Doctor," Ditzy said trying not to scream, " don't blink."
"Why?" The Doctor said turning around to reveal a terrible sight.
All around the TARDIS were Weeping Angels, their faces shaded by their hooves.
"Well, this is where all statues are made and such... Maybe, we should uhm get back in the TARDIS..." The Doctor gulped.

"Ditzy, do not under any circumstances look into the eyes!" The Doctor yelled trying to focus.
"What?" Ditzy said turning around to hear.
"TURN BACK AROUND!" The Doctor screamed, he didn't want to yell, but this was Ditzy's life on the line, she could die, get sent back in time before life.
"Ok ok!" Ditzy said turning around only to come face to face with an angel. She looked into the eyes for a split second before turning looking at it's torso.
"Wait we're in the gardens, in the castle! Celestia and Luna! Something could happen!" The Doctor yelled still not blinking.
Ditzy facehoofed, "I have an idea, why didn't I think of this before?"
"Think of what?" The Doctor said before being picked up and dangled in the air, "AHHH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
"Shush! I'm saving your flank!" Ditzy said as the Doctor squirmed in her grasp, "They can't get us in the air!"
"Brilliant!" The Doctor cried as he stopped squirming, "Now where do we got from here?"
"Ok yaaaa, I didn't think that far through, I was just think about saving you and me at the same time! Ten..." Ditzy said.
"Wait what did you say? Ten?" The Doctor asked as they flew to the front of the castle.
"No, I said nothing at all." Ditzy said as she tried to rub her eye.
The two got to the front of the castle only to be greeted by Celestia herself.
"Doctor, what did you do this time?" Celestia sighed.
"Nine! I mean, there are Weeping Angels, they're everywhere!" Ditzy said as her eyes spun off in different directions.
"Why are you counting down?" The Doctor asked.
"I uhm, didn't!" Ditzy said.
"Anyways, the angels they're in the courtyard, where all the statues are. We can't let you or Luna get hurt!" The Doctor yelled trying to get Celestia to go back inside.
"Look, I'm immortal, they can't hurt me, whatever these "angels" do I will be fine." Celestia said staying in place.
"You don't understand! Eight! If they touch you, you don't just die, you get sent back before you were born!" Ditzy cried trying to help the Doctor get Celestia in. She felt weaker, as if she wanted to lay down, fall asleep.
The Doctor looked over at Ditzy, she looked drained, tired, almost dead even, "Ditzy? Are you alright?" The Doctor asked.
"Never better! Seven!" Ditzy said as she tried to focus her eyes and began to rub them.
Ditzy stumbled a bit and sat down sighing, the Doctor rushed over to see what was wrong.
"Ditzy somethings wrong, what is it?" The Doctor said as Ditzy curled up into a ball.
"Tired, sleepy. Six." Ditzy said barely above a whisper.
"Celestia, please can you check her heart rate?" The Doctor asked trying to keep Ditzy awake.
Celestia did a small spell, checking how Ditzy was doing and when she got the answer it wasn't too good.
"She's dying, something is affecting her and hurting her." Celestia whispered into the Doctor's ear.
"Five." Ditzy said quietly coughing.
"Shhh, it's going to be ok." Celestia said bending down to look at the pegasus pony.
"Please, Doctor, I'm afraid." Ditzy said as she coughed, "F-Four."
"Ditzy did you look at a Weeping Angel, in the eyes?" The Doctor said trying to figure out what was happening.
"Just one, for a second." Ditzy said coughing.
"Oh no," The Doctor said looking in her eyes only to find a Weeping Angel's face staring back, "Ditzy shut your eyes now."
"But I don't want to. Three." Ditzy said trying to close her eyes.
"That's the angel, close them!" The Doctor instructed.
Ditzy sighed and shut her eyes, after closing them she felt a small bit better. Ditzy stood up still wobbling a bit. She sighed and yawned.
"Now then Ditzy, you are not allowed to open your eyes, is that clear?" The Doctor said.
"Yes." Ditzy nodded not opening her eyes.
"Ok Celestia look, I need somepony to protect Ditzy while I go back to the TARDIS and get the sonic screwdriver." The Doctor said.
Celestia thought for a moment before responding, "Shining Armor!" She called as the white unicorn ran over with two of his men.
"I need you to come with me and the Doctor, leave the two guards here to protect Ditzy, we are on code red." Celestia said to Shining.
"C-Code red?" One of the guards said.
"Attention!" Shining yelled at the two stallions, "You are to stay here are protect Ditzy! She is to keep her eyes closed and you will make sure of it! If you fail to protect her it will cost you your job and maybe even your life, do I make myself clear?"
"Yes sir!" The two yelled in unison.
"Doctor!" Ditzy said, "Please don't go I don't want you to leave!"
The Doctor walked over to Ditzy and sighed, "I have to go, you have to trust me, I will be fine."
"You've said trust me before and you end up getting hurt! I don't want you to die!" Ditzy sobbed.
"Ditzy, I have to go and I will be back, I love you and you need to stay here, you can't open your eyes for more then a second or you will die, don't worry about me, I have saved the world and I have traveled through time and space, I wont get hurt." The Doctor said.
The Doctor kissed Ditzy on the cheek and walked over to where Celestia and Shining were standing, "We have to go, now."
The three walked over to the courtyard, unsure of what would come from doing this.
"Doctor? Doctor?" Ditzy said moving her head, listening for his voice, had he left already?
"Please dear lord, let him be safe." Ditzy whispered.
There was a loud scream and a crash from the courtyard, something had happened, and although Ditzy didn't know what she knew it was bad, this wasn't going to end well.

"Damn it!" The Doctor said throwing down another statue to block the Weeping Angels, they had been blocking off the path by throwing down statues, the TARDIS wasn't too far away. But that didn't matter, the angels were in the way.
"Such a shame that these statues had to be thrown." Celestia said throwing down a statue of Starswirl the Bearded.
"Its such a shame these things can't die!" Shining Armor yelled sending a spell to knock a statue down.
"The TARDIS, we're almost to it!" The Doctor yelled trying to shove another statue down, which when it fell successfully landed on an angel.
The three neared the TARDIS. The Doctor in front, Celestia in the sky, and Shining behind the Doctor. They had made a path so the Weepers couldn't get near them.
"Dear lord those thing are scary." Shining sighed.
"Hah, they get worse, poor Ditzy." The Doctor replied.
"So how long will her eyes stay closed?" Celestia asked.
"Until the angel is gone." The Doctor said.
"Well at least her eyes are already bad." Shining said.
The Doctor stopped, "What did you say?" He growled, turning to face Shining.
"Oh, I didn't mean..." Shining trailed off.
"She got hurt as a child, her eyes weren't always like that, she isn't stupid or a damsel in distress. I highly doubt you've had nearly as hard of a time as her." The Doctor said, "She was broken, she was put back together again, but even that can't fix things on the outside, only the inside."
Ditzy walked down the road to her school, she had many friends there and everypony liked her. Ditzy looked around and stepped into the road, she crossed safely.
"Hey Ditzy!" Vinyl Scratch said appearing next to her.
"Oh hey Vinyl!" Ditzy said, "How are you?
Just then two fillies stepped in front of the best friends.
"Ugh," Vinyl said, "what do you both want?
"Oh looky here, it's Vinyl and her marefriend Ditzy." The first bully laughed.
What, I..." Vinyl said confused.
"Go away." Ditzy growled at the two.
"Or what, will you call your mommy? Oh wait she's too busy at the bar." The second bully sneered.
"I said, go away!" Ditzy yelled as she shoved the first bully out of the way.
Oh, you wanna play tough?" The second bully said before hitting Ditzy across the face.
Ditzy stumbled back and into the road, unable to notice the car coming towards her.
"DITZY!" Vinyl screamed running out trying to save her friend.
Ditzy turned around looking at the car before the world went black.
"Her eyes went cross and it's hard for her to control them, and it was all because of bullies who wanted to see her suffer." The Doctor said opening the door to the TARDIS for the two to walk into.
"I'm sorry for being mean t- WOAH IT'S SO BIG!" Shining said walking in to the TARDIS.
"Ya, I get that alot." The Doctor said rushing around looking for the sonic screwdriver.
Just then the lights went out in the TARDIS, leaving everyone in darkness.
"Oh buck me." The Doctor said.
Ditzy heard the scream and snapped awake, that was the second one today. She was getting worried, where was the Doctor? He should have been back by now, I mean there were only about one hundred Weeping Angels, give or take a few.
"Where are they?" Ditzy asked standing up with her eyes closed.
"Hello?" Ditzy asked trying to listen for the guards, "Hello?"
All was silent, the guards were gone and even though Ditzy didn't know what had happened, it couldn't have been something good.
"Guards?" Ditzy said feeling her way around, "Hello?"
Ditzy feel back after knocking into to something hard. She gulped and stood back up trying to feel her way to the castle's front doors. Ditzy listened for anything before hearing a faint noise, something was moving behind her, but what was it?
"Hello?" Ditzy called out, "Is somepony there?"
Ditzy sighed and went back to the task of finding the door. When she found it she stood up on her hind legs and tried to push on the door opening it. When the door opened Ditzy lost her balance and fell back, she opened her eyes for a small second, and she wished she hadn't. Staring at her was a Weeping Angel, it's teeth bared.
The Doctor grabbed the sonic screwdriver as the lights flickered on, revealing two Weepers.
"Stare at their torso, don't look them in the eyes!" The Doctor said, activating the sonic.
The Doctor walked towards the first Weeper, which was being stared at by Celestia, "Can you stop them?" She asked.
"No, but it scares the living daylights out of them!" The Doctor said holding up the sonic screwdriver.
"Then what do we do?!" Shining yelled still staring at the Weeper.
"Ok keep your eyes on them, I need to grab something." The Doctor said.
"What?! We need to leave!" Shining yelled.
"Hang on, hang on." The Doctor said grabbing a scarf and wrapping it around his neck, "Always there for me aren't you Dizty." He thought, running out the door with the others.
As the three walked outside, one thing was heard, "DOCTOR!", screamed a voice.
Ditzy screamed when she saw the angel's face, where was the Doctor? He could save her, she needed his help. Ditzy realized her eyes were open, but she didn't want to close them, it was too hard.
"DOCTOR!" Ditzy screamed before adding, "Ten."
"Every time I close my eyes the angel inside can't get me, it makes the countdown restart, I have a good two minutes before I die." Ditzy thought trying to close her eyes.
The angel turned it's head now realizing the mare couldn't do anything to stop it. It looked down at her, it's mouth open.
Ditzy's eyes widened, "You have to stand up!" She thought to herself, trying to get her legs to cooperate. When Ditzy finally got her legs right, the angel was nearing closer.
"DOCTOR!" Ditzy screamed again, "Nine."
Ditzy stood up and wobbled backwards, away from the angel. She began to walk towards the door, but began to feel weaker, "Eight." She said as her legs became like jelly. She sat down laying on her side, "A nap would be nice." She said smiling, not thinking about the angel inside of her.
The Doctor rushed in looking for Ditzy, when he spotted her he ran over, "Ditzy! What happened?!" He yelled trying to get her up.
"T-Tired, afraid." Ditzy said pointing to a Weeping Angel.
"Oh Celestia, close your eyes!" He said trying to shut her eyes.
"N-No, it hurts when I do..." Ditzy said, "Seven."
"Ditzy you have to close them! That's the only way!" The Doctor yelled trying to reason with her.
Ditzy looked around, she wanted to close them, she really did, but the angel had other plans, "Six."
"Ditzy please, just close them." The Doctor said, "You'll feel better when you do."
"But I..." Ditzy said as she tried to force her eyes shut. Finally the angel couldn't take anymore, Ditzy closed her eyes and smiled, "Thanks Doctor." She said before falling down.

Ditzy laid in the hospital bed unconscious, the Doctor by her side, waiting for her to wake up. The Weeping Angels had been taken care of, the Doctor somehow lured them all in to the TARDIS then left them in space. They could rot on the moon for all he cared, he was done with Weeping Angels.
"Ditzy," The Doctor whispered, "please wake up, the angels are gone, they can't hurt you anymore. You can see Dinky and I'll stay, please just wake up."
Celestia walked in to check on Ditzy's condition, "She's doing better, the angel is gone, she's kept her eyes closed for so long it just disappeared." Celestia said checking Ditzy's heart rate.
"Can't you wake her up somehow?" The Doctor asked, even though he knew the answer.
"No," Celestia answered, "and you know that, she has to wake up by herself."
When Celestia left the room the Doctor looked back down at Ditzy, "This is all my fault, you came with me." He said quietly, "Ditzy please wake up soon, I can't do this, I'm not a hero, just a madman in a box. I'm not leaving until you wake up, even if it takes forever."
As the Doctor waited for Ditzy to wake up, Ditzy was having a dream of her own.
"The Doctor is gone." Ditzy said sobbing into her pillow. It was the day the Doctor had left, well two days after actually. Ditzy had become quiet, she barely ate anymore. All Ditzy would do is sit in her room and wait for the Doctor to return.
"I know he'll come back." She thought, "We can go together, in the TARDIS, just the two of us."
Ditzy waited for a long time, seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, and Ditzy still waited, she had packed a suitcase waiting for the Doctor's return, she sat at night looking out her window, looking to the hill with the willow tree, "The TARDIS would be there, the Doctor would come." Ditzy thought, "He'll say how sorry he was for leaving and I will forgive him.
Ditzy still hoped, she had faith in the Doctor, though in the back of her mind she knew he wasn't coming back, he had left for good, he had left Ditzy for good.
Ditzy had waited two years, two long years. It was time to give up, the Doctor wasn't coming, he was gone for good. Ditzy packed up her things and moved to Ponyville, she got a job as a mail mare and soon had Dinky. She had lost faith in the Doctor, she used to wait for him, long for him, but he wasn't coming back. Ditzy had become depressed, the suitcase she had packed had been left, dust collected on it. Ditzy knew he was gone, but she still dreamed he would return.
Ditzy's dream was interrupted, a voice called to her, "He isn't coming back." The voice hissed in her ear, "He left you with the angels, they killed you."
"That's not true," Ditzy called out to the voice, "He came back, he said he would stay. He doesn't lie."
"Doesn't lie?" The voice laughed, "Of course he does, he's been lying to you this whole time, he's been using you, toying with your emotions. He doesn't love you, he wants to be adored, so he picked you."
Ditzy's heart shattered, was that true? Should she trust the voice? Did the Doctor leave, did he not love her? Ditzy couldn't figure out what was real and what wasn't anymore, her dream of Ponyville had been replaced, all around her was black, voices yelled at her, "You freak! Go home where you belong!"
Ditzy curled into a ball, why wouldn't they leave? All her life she had been told what's normal and what isn't, what was good and what was bad? But, why was the normal so boring? You could either live your whole live doing nothing, accepting what life gives you, or you could change your fate, make your life how you want it.
Ditzy stood up, "I'm not a freak and he didn't lie! The Doctor is one of the nicest ponies I've ever met, he is one of the only ponies who doesn't judge me for being different, he isn't a jerk who yelled at me when my eyes changed! But there are ponies who don't accept the fact that even if I try my hardest I still have problems, so you can take you lies somewhere else because I don't care anymore!"
Ditzy snapped awake she looked to where she was, a hospital bed, the Doctor staring at her.
"Ditzy! You're awake!" The Doctor said hugging her.
"I, how long was I asleep?" Ditzy asked looking around.
"A week, everypony's been worried sick! But you're ok!" The Doctor said smiling.
Ditzy looked around, "Are the angels gone?"
"Yes, they are gone, everything's all right." He replied.
Ditzy smiled at the Doctor, "I'm glad you're here."
"I stayed here the whole time waiting for you, I wouldn't leave, you mean so much to me Ditzy." The Doctor said.
"Is Celestia ok? What about the guards, I couldn't find them." Ditzy said.
"Celestia is fine, as for the guards well, the angels got to them before we did." The Doctor said sadly.
"Oh," Ditzy said looking down, "are you leaving now?"
The Doctor looked at her, "I realized, I don't want to leave, I'm staying here, with you. I couldn't leave again. Not ever."
Ditzy smiled, life was looking up, the Doctor was back, he was staying, the angels were gone, and everypony was ok, maybe life wasn't so bad, maybe you just need somepony to remember that.
"Thank you Doctor." Ditzy smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too." The Doctor said nuzzling her, "I will stay with you, I'm not going and you know that."
"Can I go back to sleep? I haven't slept well in ages." Ditzy yawned.
"Of course, I'll see you in the morning." The Doctor whispered turning off the light.
"Night Doctor." Ditzy said falling asleep, "Thank you."

It had been two years, the Doctor and Ditzy had been together for two years. Two years of laughing and joking, two years of running around, playing, and now was the night the Doctor would propose to her. She would accept, and he knew it, he planned to propose at somewhere they would only know, the willow tree.
The Doctor had bought the ring earlier, a month ago to be exact. He had been waiting for the right night, the night that would call out to him. He had planned everything out, everything should go according to plan.
They had been staying at Ditzy's old town, the town she had lived in when she was little, the place she had met and waited for the Doctor, the place she would be proposed to.
Dinky was once again staying at her grandmother's house, Ditzy's mother's house. Dinky had met the Doctor on numerous occasions, when he would pick up her mother, him staying the night, days like that. The Doctor was the perfect figure father, he would spend time with Dinky and her mother, it was a good life.
There was of course the occasional call, a small trip in the TARDIS. Ditzy now always came with the Doctor, his number one assistant. The two had become the perfect duo, a unique couple.
The Doctor had hidden the TARDIS in the woods outside of town, it had to be hidden, nopony could know about it, their little secret.
Ditzy walked around her town, she knew everywhere, everything. All the people from her childhood had stayed, even the ones she didn't want to see again, the bullies.
It was their fault, the reason she wasn't "normal". She had confronted them, telling them what they had done wrong, yet somehow they had said that they were just kids. Did they not realize what they had done to her? How much pain they had put her through.
It was starting to get late, Ditzy walked back to the hotel she and the Doctor were staying at, she knew he would be there, doing some random thing. It seemed he couldn't relax on this trip, he kept on pacing, check on the TARDIS, playing with the sonic.
Ditzy walked into their room and fell down onto the bed yawning. She closed her eyes, only to be woken up right after.
"Ditzy! We have to go!" The Doctor said rushing into the room.
"What? I just want to sleep, just a little bit." Ditzy said putting a pillow over her head.
"This is important! We have to go now!" The Doctor said pulling Ditzy up.
"Ok ok! I'm up, where are we going?" Ditzy said getting up.
"The TARDIS, now!" The Doctor said rushing her out the door.
"Ok what's wrong?" Ditzy said running with the Doctor to the TARDIS.
"I'll tell you in the TARDIS, nopony can hear!" The Doctor said running faster.
The two soon arrived at the TARDIS. Rushing inside, Ditzy was the first to talk.
"Ok what is it? Fate of the universe? Is everypony going to die?" Ditzy asked, panting.
"Funny story..." The Doctor trailed off.
"Oh buck." Ditzy sighed.
