Filler Prologue (skippable, but does add some explanation)
In the magical land of Equestria, a party is in full swing after the reformation of Stygian from being the Pony of Shadows, and as such saving both the Elements and the Pillars, even though said Pillars and Stygian were too busy travelling the land to join in.
But we’re not focusing on that just yet, instead this self-aware narrator shall take you to a metal world, not unlike Cybertron, this silver planet was populated by Rotorans, ancient and powerful cyber-spirits given physical forms, wearing machine bodies as armor to protect their fragile beings.
Within the great temple of these inventive and curious creatures lived their emperor, Slayer of Lucifer, Ruler of the netherrealm, and self-proclaimed Elder God of Chaos, RXE, a name older than the Rotoran homeworld itself. Today was not a good day, no in fact today was a very bad day, a day many in the multiverse fear for their lives or their sanity.
“I am so boooooooored!!” RXE groaned out, ignoring the horrified reactions of all but his subjects that heard such a statement. “All of my good shows have gotten happy endings! I know it’s great but it feels like there’s no challenge anymore! I mean look at Equestria, a pony of shadows coming into being because some old windbag didn’t communicate properly? I could draw up a better and quirkier villain in my sleep!”
The LED screen that made up his face flickered, then it took on an unpleasant, shark-like grin as he went to a terminal and began his dark task, set on proving to the many realms that his words held weight. The only problem was he had done so before to the universes, causing untold havoc both in the name of good or evil, tipping the balance ever so slightly to keep those on their toes, but that doesn’t mean he lacks morality, far from it.
It’s because of those morals that he is so dangerous, hopping through realities into triggering events that confuse us, gifting many with 4th wall perception without their notice, but sometimes when the screen is away… he does some good.
He was the one to convince Control Freak into getting Teen Titans a second reboot, one that was decent, unfortunately he failed and so he waves a singularity bomb above that reality, awaiting the day he would be mad enough to collapse an entire pocket of existence.
He was the one that got My Life As A Teenage Robot cancelled, but for very, very good reasons that would not want to be aired on a children’s show, he knows better to cut off all possible way of the link between the writer’s inspiration and that dimension than risk scarring children… also the show already has two wedding related episodes it doesn’t need another one with the main character being the bride to an all-powerful entity… RXE would like to inform everyone that all of it was with consent.
And he has been following every Rick to ever be a Rick in order to fix or prevent their messes, such as actually helping Gazorpazorpians become equals, faking Simple Rick’s death by blender so he could be reunited with his daughter, and dealing with every Rick related problem in that pocket of the multiverse.
But of course, you didn’t come here for me to explain all of this to you, you didn’t come here for pop culture references, you came for ponies, which will come in due time, this is merely a filler prologue that explains how a new and never before seen entity in Equestria ever came into being on Equestria in the first place through seemingly unknown circumstance or coincidence, and to ask the readers to see if they possibly would like a story in the future where RXE comes to Equestria to enact his shenanigans and most likely give Celestia a headache.
Though I won’t blame you if you skip over all of this fluff, to be honest the author would too.
Though of course in order to make this work this chapter will have to be a 1000 word minimum, so forgive me as I ramble on about all of this.
RXE had finally drawn up something that would fit his purposes perfectly, allowing him to use this character as the newest villain of Equestria, and not just any kind, a recurring one.
“Perfect! Now I shall-”
“RXE~... I got that new outfit you like~!” a feminine voice called from the next room.
“C-coming dear!”
“Oh you will be!”
And with that, a red faced robot quickly set the computer to begin the process automatically while he went off to the bedroom for reasons I am not allowed to mention because this isn’t a clopfic.
In any case we’ve most likely only have over 800 words at this point so let’s head back to Ponyville, the night after the grand celebration.
All through the town was soft laughter, carried from the Everfree by the winds, rooting into their minds nightmares that foreshadow the coming despair that would soon be painted across Equestria, visions of a powerful mastermind intent on conquering the peaceful land they call home, foals began to weep, full grown mares and stallions tossed and turned in fright, even couples were not safe within the comfort of their lover’s forelimbs.
Not even the elements, those who showed strength through adversity were able to repel the haunting night terrors (except Fluttershy, she was left alone, but tell me what kind of author would willingly make Fluttershy cry for the sake of a story?) as they saw the shadow of what would become their greatest enemy, these nightmares too strong for even Luna to defeat.
And in the forest, if you travelled down the path to the old castle of the two sisters, if you entered the ruins and down the stairs into an old dungeon, if you went to the end of the halls, you would find two stood-up coffins that were not there before, one clean and practically brand new with gold detailing, a resting place of royalty, and a less clean, rotted wooden casket, one that still had some value, clearly the servant.
And if you were there now, you would see the coffins begin to open, and if you looked at the cracks of the clean and new looking one…
You would see it was being pushed open by boney fingers.
