Octavia Melody is a pony that looks only for her own personal gain. She’s skilled in diplomacy and relations alike, and through years of hard work and determination, she's beginning to meet her aspiration of being truly influential.

Enter Fancy Pants: Everypony has a different story about him, but they never seem to match up. Some ponies call him a benevolent and giving stallion, others say that he is deeply corrupt and as devious as they come. Some conspirators even suggest that his ambitions reach as high as the throne itself.

At a summit in Manehatten, the pair cross paths for the first time.
