Chapters Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.
Those are the colors I saw that fateful day, the colors that taught me to feel emotions when I was created to not feel them.
It was so sudden, one moment I wasn't feeling anything and the next I felt everything.
I scribbled on the page in front of me the same colors i saw that day. Once I was done I gazed upon the colorful object with fascination. It's been three days since the burst of colors shot through the sky but I still can’t get the object out of my mind. What was it? What was it called? Where did it come from?
Can I see it again?
The sound of my cell door opening spooked me out of my thoughts, I looked up. Firefly was standing there. Firefly was a pink pegasus with a blue mane and blue lightning bolts on her flank. Her lab coat looked extra clean today.
Today was special, Firefly said she was going to sneak something from the outside to show me today!
My eyes lit up in excitement as I got to my hooves, “Did you bring it?” I asked.
“Yes A-1, I got it.” She chuckled and reached behind her and grabbed something with her teeth. I cocked my head in confusion.
Holding by the scruff of its neck Firefly had a tiny pegasus pony smaller than me. The pony was orange and had a spiky purple mane and was wearing some kind of cloth on it bottom.
Gently, Firefly set the tiny pegasus on the ground and smiled softly.
“A-1 meet my daughter, Scootaloo!” Scootaloo?
I stared at Scootaloo for a bit before I worked up the courage to ask “What is it?”
“It's a baby silly!” She laughed, I cocked my head to the side.
“A baby?” I think Ditzy Doo once told me about babies. I watched as Scootaloo started crawling toward me. I reach a hoof forward until I accidentally booped her on the nose. Scootaloo scrunched up her nose and stuck my hoof in her mouth then started suckling on it.
Babies are weird but they make me happy. So I guess they're okay.
"Firefly, can I ask you a question? 3 days ago when that boom happened, what was that thing in the sky?" I asked.
"What thing?" I pointed at my drawing on the ground, Firefly walked over and picked it up. Her smile turned into a frown.
"Oh that," She sighed and ran a hoof though her mane. Firefly reached down and picked up Scootaloo and started bouncing her on her back "Its called a rainbow but A-1, you really shouldn't be drawing rainbows and hanging them on your wall. You know how unstable Moonlight is, he would freak! Where did you even get the tape?"
"Moonlight dropped it. But anyways- Wow, a rainbow! So that's what its called! Its was so beautiful." I hopped up and down "When can I see it again?"
"Probably never."
I stopped bouncing, "Why not?"
"A-1 I'm sorry but you in here well rainbows are out there. Not to mention rainbows don't happen all that often, especially like the one you saw." Firefly hoofed me the drawing. I stared at her before looking down at my picture.
"Whats so different about the one I saw?" I asked slowly.
"This rainbow wasn't created by the weather factory, this rainbow was created by a pony ." She smiled at the surprised look on my face.
"A pony did that? Wow." Firefly chuckled and started heading out the door.
"Wait! One more question."
She turned around, "Yes?"
"Where do babies come from?"
Two years, its been two years sense the Sonic Rainboom ripped though the sky giving me emotions. Not much has happened in those two years but last night the silence was shattered when Derpy announced she was retiring so she can take care of her sick mother- rumor has it she has cancer. I'm a little upset that she was leaving but I understand that family comes first, I'm more worried about Moonlight. Moonlight didn't take it well, he was so angry what I was afraid he was going to hurt her. Luckily he didn't.
So brings us to now where i'm staring at the ceiling- again. I've noticed I tend to do that a lot.
Lately I've been getting strange headaches, like somethings trying to get out. Its like there is something lurking beneath the surface, I hate it. It feels like something is crawling across my skin. Sometimes it hurts so bad I feel like I'm going to puke.
I got up off my bed and walked over to the mirror I the corner of the room, a gift from Derpy so I can take care of myself. She even gave me a hairbrush so I can take care of my mane. Firefly likes to brush my mane.
I gazed into the reflection of my beautiful pink eyes. My eyes make me look girly but honestly I don't care, I like my eyes.
I feel a headache coming on. Oh Celestia (whoever that is), it hurts! I sat down and grabbed my head in pain.
Suddenly I heard the mirror crack, I gasped and lifted my head. There was a large crack in it splitting my reflection in two but what really drew my attention was that fact my eyes where glowing! In the background I could see the things that was laying around my room floating with a pink glow around them. I turned around and gazed upon the spectral in fascination.
How are I doing that?! I'm an earth pony not a unicorn, I shouldn't have magic!! So not knowing what else to do I did the only thing any sane pony would do in this situation, I screamed bloody murder.
Moonlight gazed upon the floating objects in fascination before he chuckled "When I created you I used harmony magic from all three races to keep you together, your practically an alicorn in an earth pony body. I expected something like this was going to happen at some point."
I fidgeted with my tail, "So this is normal, sir?"
"Calm down, yes it normal. Get ready A-1 your magic training begins tomorrow, goodnight."

A-1 has magic! Dun dun DUN!
"Good, Good. Okay that enough A-1, you did good today." Moonlight Star said "It seem like having those vials break all over you have actually done you some good. You've gotten stronger."
I panted as I stared sadly at the new corpse in front of me, why did this pony have to die? Its not far but I have to keep up an image of Emotionlessness in fear of what Moonlight would do if he found out what truly happened that day.
"I'm sorry," I whispered.
"A-1 lets go!" I turned and headed out the door. I gasped when I ran face first into somepony causing me to fall on my plot. I rubbed my nose before I looked up, it was Ditzy Doo. Ditzy Is a gray Pegasus with a yellow mane and bubbles on her flank. But the most interesting thing about her is her eyes, they are crossed. I like her eyes, it makes her different (like me).
"Oops, sorry A-1." Ditzy apologized in that goofy voice of hers. Looking around, I check to see if Moonlight was around before I answered.
"That's okay Ditzy, you don't mean too." I smiled.
"I told you not to call me that. Call me Derpy, all my friends do." She tisked as she helped me up "Let me walk you back to your cell, okay?"
I layed staring at the ceiling that night when I was spooked out of my thoughts by the cell door opening. I sat up and curled my tail up and stared petting it gently, it Moonlight Star.
"A-1 come, I have something to show you." He grinned evilly, oh no. I gulped and crawled out of my bed and trotted up to him.
The blue unicorn beckoned me to follow him as he stared to make his was down the hall, I shuffled after him. What did I do this time? Will he hurt me? Oh ponyfeathers, the suspense is killing me!
He stopped before a door, "Its in here, now go in." He commanded as he pushed it open. I shook me head 'no' which made him growl. He pushed me inside.
My jaw dropped, hanging from a rope around her neck was the mother of the pony I killed earlier today! On her wrists was bloody cuts giving me the impression that she tried to kill herself like that first and when that failed she decided to hang herself. I started shaking and backed up until my back hit Moonlight who just pushed my closer to the pony. Seeing that there was to way out of this I sat down to keep myself from falling over. My shaking grew harder as warm tears started to run down my checks.
"This is what emotions do to you A-1," Moonlight growled "As punishment for lying to me about what really happened doing the Sonic Rainboom your going to sleep in here tonight. Don't lie to me again."
I stayed up all night crying over a dead corpse. Not like I could escape the sight though, Moonlight locked me in the room. I think at some point I said my trigger word to switch to my basic programming just to escape the situation because I don't remember half of it.
What am I doing right now you ask? I'm shaking like a leaf in a storm mumbling to myself soothing words to keep myself calm. Not like I know what a leaf actually is, or a storm for that matter. I just heard Firefly say it before so I thought it would be the right moment to say it.
I getting sick of looking at this pony, Its driving me insane! I don't even know what that is but I have a pretty good idea what it means, I have heard Firefly call Moonlight that before. I wish Firefly or maybe Derpy was here. Speaking of Firefly, I think I can hear her outside calling for me. I'm to tired to bang on the door so I can only hope she can find me before I end up like the pony hanging in the middle of the room. That knife she left is so tempting.
Right when I was about to crawl over the the knife to end my pain the door slammed open.
"A-1? Oh my Celestia!" Firefly screeched when she saw the pony hanging from the rope "A-1, what happened?!"
"This is all my fault, I killed her son. I'm sorry! I'm so, so, so, sorry!" I cried, suddenly I felt a pair of hooves warp around me and pull me away from the dead pony. I was turned around so Firefly could see my face.
I must have looked horrible because Firefly started crying and hugged me.
"Its okay A-1, I'm here, I'm here." Fresh tears stared to run down my cheeks, not knowing what else to do I buried my face in her chest and stared bawling.
Thank you Firefly, I love you.
What. The. Heck.
I can't stop staring. This is not right, this is so not right. I was just walking down the hall outside my cell (With supervision) when I came across something strange. Its was a pink colored filly about my age with a curly purple and white mane.
"My name is A-2 but you can call my Screwball." the pink filly said.
"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" I asked, Maybe I didn't hear her right.
"You heard me. I'm A-2 but like I said, call me Screwball. I hate being called A-2." I backed away until I bumped into the back corner of the hall, she was right in my face.
"Whats your name?" She asked with a smile.
"A-1," I said, she huffed and pulled away.
"No, whats your NAME?"
"I d-don't have one." I shuttered out. She was quite from a moment before she got in my face again.
"Well then we'll have to change that will we?" She grabbed me and stared inspecting me closely.
"You like suspiciously like Moonlight's dead brother, Sunlight Star. And the white mane with the rainbow in it makes you look Astronomical. I think I'll call you... Astral Star."
"S-S-Star?! No no no no, you can't relate me to Moonlight! He will not like it! Besides you can't name me! Moonlight is already angry enough that I gained emotions in the first place. Who knows what he'll do when he finds out that somepony named me!"
"Too bad, from now on your going to be Astral Star!"
Moonlight watched his two creations interact for the fist time. Two beings made from pure harmony and chaos interacting. He never meant for them to meet but he's got to admit, it is fascinating.
"Should I remove them, sir?" The pony behind him spoke up.
"No, this is an interesting turn of events. Lets see what happens."
