This story contains some material from a non MLP series I’m personally working on and is not canon to that series. I will do my best to clarify anything relevant and if you are interested my website (fire55665.weebly.com) will show if I ever complete and up for sale.
This story will use a modified form of Rainbow Factory and if you haven’t read that then you should as it is relevant. The main difference is that this is before Scootaloo has been sent to the factory.
1 Telumn Ignis’s Halloween Special
Rainbow Dash paced the catwalks of the great Pegasus Device. She wasn’t happy with her situation. “One you know you never can unknow,” no truer were those words than to this great secret. Rainbow desperately wanted to do anything, be anywhere but here. She wanted to shout to her friends and the Princesses what went on here. She wanted to run away and never return here. Dare she even think, she wanted everyone here, everyone involved dead. To some extent she wanted herself dead.
“Ma’am…ma’am!” Shouted a young stallion from below. “You can go home now ya know.”
“Uh, heh yeah I better get home, Tank’s probably hungry.” ‘And I have flight lessons to teach in the morning,’ she thought. The stallion went on his way. Rainbow fluttered down softly to the facility floor. Workers buzzing around her, getting that infernal device ready for the next batch. Her brooding was broken by the lights going dark and the sirens and red emergency lights coming on. Sounds of gunfire were coming toward her. She stood still in a daze. Was it the royal special forces? Was she finally doomed? Would they kill her or take her alive? She saw mares and stallions around her falling into pools of their own blood. Splatters and sprays of blood coated every wall. She finally could make out a masked armored unicorn mare using her magic to hold two shining revolvers.
Rainbow now was paralyzed with fear as this unknown unicorn was tearing through all the guard in the facility. Ponies falling in places she wasn’t even aiming. Eventually the mare knocked Rainbow over with a solid buck and planted a forehoof on her chest all the while still firing. Rainbow stared up at her captor in fear. Something was off about those pistols, like she had seen them before. She made the sudden realization that of all this carnage she was being kept alive. That’s when a whole new layer of fear struck her. Her friends she would have to face them now. What would they think? What would they say?
Rainbow didn’t know, but she relinquished herself to finding out. Eventually Rainbow’s captor stopped firing. As she did rainbow caught a glimpse of another pony coming out of the shadows. This one a unicorn stallion with a sword strapped to his back. She didn’t even see him. She was sure that this stallion was a professional.
“So, you want to keep this one?” the stallion spoke. The mare nodded. “Well we accounted for this, plan Bravo let’s exfil.”
The stallion pulled out a large black bag. Gripping it with his magic he, rather gently, slid it around Rainbow than lifted letting gravity work for him. He tied the mouth of the bag shut with a knot and carried it with his magic. The orange aura causing the bag to be illuminated inside.
Rainbow heard the sound of a heavy door open and shut. She was then tossed on a pile of other bags of linen from the factory. They must be escaping from the locker room entrance and used the uniform laundry as a cover for their equipment Rainbow thought. Just to confirm this, the cart stopped rolling and then some heavy metal objects were tossed atop of her. Rainbow correctly guessed these were their weapons then the stallion spoke to her through the side of the bag.
“We’re entering the facility floor now you make a sound and I’ll have to kill each and every one of these workers. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Rainbow squeaked out in response.
“Good, here we go.” The cart started moving again. It was several moments of bumping before she felt herself lifting off the ground and into the air. In the air she was familiar with how things moved and she concluded that they weren’t in a balloon so either her captives were alicorns which she found highly unlikely or they had a pair of pegasi carrying her. After a ten-minute flight Rainbow was set on the ground, and based on her expert experience they weren’t far from Cloudsdale, probably at some king of hideout.
Once again orange magic illuminated her bag and she was carried inside of what seemed like a house. When the knot was undone and the bag fell to her side she was indeed within a house and there stood her captors. Still cloaked in black still with covered faces and the stallion was the only one to speak.
“The reason you are not bound is that there is no way for you to escape us.” He turned to the Mare and said, “Why don’t you go make some refreshments while I take care of her.” The Mare appeared to give the stallion look from under her mask the walk toward the kitchen. Rainbow looked around at the house noticing it was very rundown obviously they had no attachment to it and it was only to stop for a night.
“Miss Rainbow Dash, never took you for someone in charge of a place like that. The way I hear it is that you are very loyal and probably have alot of secrets. Now I’m going to make this simple. You be honest with us and we can take care of our business then let you go.” Dash felt hope, she could go free if she answered their questions, and boy would she answer them because they freed her from that horrid place hell.
“What do you want to know?”
“That facility is there anyone left who tend to it?”
“No, everyone was on staff for the most recent…*gulp* batch.”
“Good that means we don’t have to worry ‘bout anyone for a while. What about other facilities?”
“What about ‘em?”
“Are there others and where are they if there are any?”
“Yes, two more satellite facilities for emergencies and for far away *ahem* batches. Ones on the edge of Manehattan the other Las Pegasus.”
“I see, will they know what happened here in Cloudsdale?”
“Not likely for a while.”
“Good, now this one is for my friend. Did you hate it there?”
“What?” Rainbow asked confused.
“Did you hate it there? Dislike being there. Despise your existence there.”
“BUCK YEAH I did. I hated the secrecy, the murder the smell of blood, everything. I had to detach myself mentally from it.”
“Did you really?” The stallion leaned in very close and Rainbow wanted to pull away, but couldn’t. Those eyes, those piercing red eyes, they were dead. How could that be rainbow thought. He was moving around he clearly wasn’t dead but they looked like the corpses they tossed into the Pegasus device. Rainbow was panicking mentally yet her body remained frozen.
“yes,” she squealed turning away and closing her eyes like a little filly.
“Hm, your eyes are quite beautiful not much longer there and they would be just as ugly as mine.”
She turned back to the stallion, his eyes they weren’t red nor dead. Rainbow caught his eye and she saw it again, they stayed the shimmering turquoise she saw but the death in them was real. Was this what happened to ponies who killed other ponies? His words echoed in her head. “Just as ugly as mine.”
“She’s cleared you can come in now,” the stallion shouted into the other room. He then took off his mask to reveal a bright white coat and a flaming mane.
“Telumn?”
“Thank goodness I was getting tired of the silence.”
“That voice…Twilight?!” Rainbow turned to see the one and only Twilight Sparkle bringing in three cups of tea.
“Hi, Rainbow.” Twilight said handing Rainbow a cup of tea. Telumn Ignis used his orange magic to grab his right out of twilights purple aura.
“So… You… She… Twilight you just killed ponies!”
“Like you haven’t. I was doing what was right for the Kingdom of Equestria as the Princess of Friendship.”
“Twilight this isn’t some friendship mission, you committed murder.”
“Actually,” Telumn spoke up, “She committed an act of policing.”
Rainbow looked like she was about to argue back but the words died in her throat. “You’re right I hated that place, it was filled with psychopaths who enjoyed what they did. All of them, the whole bucking lot. I wouldn’t care either if it wasn’t for him,” She screamed and sobbing at Telumn. “When the portal he came from opened up what did you say. You said that whatever came out of the portal could be dangerous. Then he showed up on two legs spouting something about exploring dimensions. He’s a killer Twilight, he’s dangerous, his eyes his eyes… his eyes are dead. He’s just like those psychopaths from the factory.”
“He told me.” Twilight said
“What?” rainbow said through her sobs.
“He told me everything. It was about a month after he arrived here he asked if I could get all the princesses in a room. He said it was important that he tell the full truth. He’s…been through some hard times and he’s had to kill many, but he never hurts the innocent. Just give him a chance.”
“Alright,” she said wiping her muzzle with a forehoof. “He did save me from that life and you two could stop them all.”
“We’ll try”
