Chapters Starlight VS The Diamond Pony.
Starlight jumped out the way just in time to dodge a diamond that threatened to impale her.
She charged her horn up for a projectile attack that was met with a shield. Starlight enchanted her hoof with magic and teleported in front of the shield and slammed her hoof down with as much force as she could, creating a small hoof-sized hole.
She repeated the action and created another hole. And with all her strength, tried to pry the shield open. And she was succeeding, until a pillar of diamond smacked her in the stomach, pushing her far back.
Starlight got up and dodged many more pillars of diamond before teleporting on one of the pillars to be met with a giant dragon made of diamond.
The dragon appeared to swallow the Unicorn, but in the next second, it was burst open with a powerful force and Starlight was seen unscathed.
She charged a large ball of energy and threw it down on the diamond shield, shattering it to pieces.
The mare shot through the cloud of smoke and headbut Starlight square in the face.
“UNH!” Starlight grunted as she fell to the floor and caressed her broken, bleeding nose.
“HAAAAA!” The mighty battlecry sounded the sky as the Diamond Pony came down on Starlight with enough force to smash the ground beneath them.
But once the smoke cleared, Starlight was nowhere to be seen.
The Diamond Pony looked down in confusion, where could the Unicorn have gone.
The Diamond’s eyes widen once she saw the ground crack beneath her, and out came the Unicorn to meet the Diamond Pony with a rock solid uppercut, followed by a swift kick to the stomach, sending her flying.
The Diamond rebounded and slammed her hooves on the ground, making diamonds protrude from the ground in time to block an enchanted punch.
The Diamond smirked once Starlight’s attack was blocked. The smirk disappeared once two hooves grabbed her hind-legs.
The ground erupted and thousands of Starlights made some form of a ladder. The Starlight clones were twirling The Diamond with so much force, she couldn’t keep her eyes open.
“Damn’t, so this is her power.” The Diamond thought before being smashed into a large pillar of diamond.
Once she gained her eyesight back, The Diamond barely had enough time to conjure a shield to block a drill magic attack slamming into the shield with full force.
Her shield gave under the pressure of Starlight’s attack and the magical drill started to grind on The Diamond.
The Diamond struggled to bring up a force field of energy to send Starlight flying.
Both combatants landed on the floor, panting and sweating, with many scars and cuts on each other body, showering the floor in blood.
The Diamond stood up and created another diamond dragon, this one much bigger than the last.
Starlight stood and charged her horn, “Putting a lot more power into this one, aren’t you?” She questioned.
The Diamond nodded, which was followed by a smirk, “To be honest; you’re the first one to stand against me this long.” She admits.
Even though it felt like minutes since they’ve been fighting, they both knew they’ve been at it for a very long time.
Starlight smirked and charged her horn up even longer, “I could say the same to you, not even the Princess Of Friendship could stand up to me.” Starlight admitted, “I almost feel guilty, I’m actually enjoying this a lot more than I probably should.”
The Diamond smirk turned into a full on grin, “It’s only natural to feel like this…” She starts, “Ponies like us don’t usually get to show off our power.” She explained as the dragon began to grow with more diamond, eventually dwarfing most full grown dragons.
Starlight got the message and powered up even more, her horn charging so much, that not only did the ground under her give way, but her legs as well.
And as if a clock was ticking, once the hands reached 12, the two unleashed their attacks. Resulting in the largest cloud of smoke either of them had ever seen.
Once the cloud of smoke cleared, the two mares were kneeling on their knees, heavily breathing and grinning from ear to ear.
“That was fun, don’tcha think?” Starlight asked.
The Diamond nodded and chuckled, “That was fun, indeed.” She agreed, “I need to go now, we’ll battle again.” She adds before she disappears, and the Diamond Dimension started to fade.
(Back in Equastria, in the morning)
Starlight jolt awake and holds her head with her hoof that was sweating profusely with the most frightened look on her face.
Her frown soon became a full blown grin, “That was fun, I hope we can do it again.” Starlight whispered to herself.
“STARLIGHT, BREAKFAST IS READY!!” Spike called.
Starlight’s grin lessened as she jumped out of bed, “COMING!!” She responded before trotting out the room and towards the kitchen.

I feel like I've been making Starlight a bit too overpowered, who know's what I'll do in Nomadic Dragon Emperor.
Of Moissanite And Diamond
It was another slow day of school and Diamond Tiara was not in a good mood. Even during recess, she couldn’t unravel her mind of the stress it was experiencing. Not even Silver Spoon break her out of her stress.
“Damn’t, what am I supposed to do?” Diamond thought in a panicked voice, “Moissanite is at it again! Why can’t she just stay put?” She asked herself.
“Hey Diamond, I couldn’t help but hear you thinking about me.”
Diamond turned to the new voice and frowned, “Of course I was thinking about you, don’t think I didn’t notice you wandering around in there.” Diamond replied.
Moissanite smirked and shook her head, “Of course I knew you noticed me wandering around the Diamond Dimension.” She replied.
Before responding, Diamond Tiara took a cautious look around and saw that nopony was around, “Next time, be a little more cautious of what time you choose to pop up, don’t forget that I’m the only one who can see you now.” She reminded.
Moissanite sighed in annoyance and rolled her eyes, “Why are you so goddamn cautious?” She asked.
Diamond rubbed her eyes, “Look, Moissanite, if you didn’t notice, you’re special, very very special, if somepony even knows of your existence, then they’d probably kill me, which means you’d get killed too.” Diamond reasoned.
Moissanite’s annoyed expression turned to a serious one as diamonds started to form around the two, “Then I’d kill them easily, no big deal.” She replied.
Diamond Tiara sighed, “Alright, we’re not getting anywhere with this conversation…” She says and was about to give up when a question arose in her mind, “Who was the lucky visitor?” Diamond asked.
“It was that Starlight Glimmer Unicorn, I think you may know her.” Moissanite replied.
Diamond’s face fell the moment she heard that sentence, “Do you know who Starlight Glimmer is?” Diamond asked rhetorically, “She is Princess Twilight’s personal student, and judging by the way you do things, she’s probably scared out of her mind!” Diamond freaked out.
Moissanite shook her head, “She’s not scared at all, in fact, she’s quite the opposite, she seemed to enjoy our battle.” She debunked, “Besides, I needed a new playmate, these ponies can hardly take a hit. Not even the Princesses are that interesting.” She adds.
Diamond nodded, “Look, Moissanite, I know you’re tired of being cramped in there with hardly anyone to ‘play with’ as you say, but we still need to make sure you stay a secret, I don’t want that attention brought to me or my family.” Diamond reasoned, “But most of all, I don’t want them to take you away…” She trails off
Moissanite gives a hard sigh, “I get it, I’ll lay low for a while, okay?” She said.
Diamond nodded, “Okay.” She accepted before the school bell rung, “Well, I gotta go, see you later.” Diamond said before trotting off to the school house where she met her best friend, Silver Spoon
“So, Diamond, you feeling okay now?” Silver asked.
Diamond nodded, “Yeah, I’m feeling a lot better now, thanks for asking.” Diamond answered as the two went on their days.
Moissanite on the other hand was in the Diamond Dimension inspecting many weapons, before settling one double edged Zweilhander.
She gave a deep sigh before raising the sword and bringing it down with so much force, two of the giant diamond pillars fell.
After destroying the pillars, Moissanite looked into the black sky, “Starlight, we’ll meet again.” She says out loud.

Recalling Of The Diamonds That Kissed The Stars
“Starlight, are you okay?” Twilight asked. “You haven’t been engaged in the lesson today.”
Oh, how Starlight wished for this lesson to be thing invading her consciousness, alas, it was not. She had no real grudge against the lesson Twilight was teaching her for it was her favorite subject: Old Pony. But the memory of a while back seemed to crawl back into the forefront of her mind made it exceedingly difficult to do anything.
Realizing she had been staring into Twilight’s eyes, Starlight’s cheeks were flooded with a light purple as she couldn’t hide the embarrassment, “I know Twilight, it’s just…” She bit her lip, unable to unearth the words she required for her thoughts to be conveyed.
Fortunately for her, Twilight understood that her friend and pupil needed more attention than this lesson anyways and folded the book. The lesson was getting tediously boring anyways for it was repeating the same thing over and over again.
Giving her pupil her full, unadulterated and unfiltered concentration and attention, she speaks, “It’s just what Starlight?” She opened the windows for Starlight to speak her mind.
Taking a deep sigh, Starlight nods, “I know, I know, it’s just that it goes back to the time I threw you for a time traveling wild goose chase.” She seethes at that particularly unsavory memory.
Rolling her eyes, Twilight shook her head, “I told you this time and time again Starlight, don’t feel guilty about that time in our history.” She reminded, “If bringing it up every corner is what it takes for you to finally forgive yourself, then we’ll talk about a million times, up until the day I have to bury you.” She promises.
Smiling a bright and warm smile, Starlight continued with her tale, “Well we all know that time traveling is a delicate situation to proceed with, and I knew that too, so I decided dimension hopping would be better, but I was so wrong… oh so wrong.”
(Flashback, Starlight’s POV)
It seemed that no matter how many dimensions I found myself in, each one was worse than the last. Always filled with monsters that could tear a pony in shreds.
So, coming to the last dimension was a bit of gamble, that I’m still finding it hard to believe if the gamble paid off. But when I stepped into this dimension, I immediately smelt something off and many red flags sprang in my mind.
Number one: This place was BEYOND freezing, like 1,000,000 degrees Celsius below zero, but I could breath. I kid you not, I could move around and do everything a normal pony could back in Equis.
Number two: Diamonds reached so high into the sky that they seemed to be able to reach the sun and still have 75% of height to go. My gut felt beyond quesy just by looking at them.
And number three: This place completely void of any life, which was nerve wracking since all the other dimensions seemed to have some kind of life, no matter how dangerous or scary. I knew that something was here, and I knew that it was dangerous.
So to give myself a bit of piece of mind, I used that spell that allows you to detect other life forms, and I still regret that move to this very day.
The moment I sent that spell, I was bombarded by this pure, raw power belonging to a being that was malicious and powerful, strong enough to wipe every other dimension I visited of every sentient being they held, and then some. But what really made my heart drop was the fact that the beast was headed straight for me!
And the thing was in no rush at all, which was clear by the way the power was approaching me. It’s like it knew that I couldn’t escape, that any attempt I could have mustered to save my sorry flank would be futile. And when I realized that, my blood froze.
I knew I had to get out of there, I just knew it, I’d be toast if I didn’t. But whatever I did, my blood would not run, I could not turn away and get out of here.
That was until I saw the thing turn around a corner, emerging from behind one of the diamond pillars. I didn’t look any more and turned around, and with all my might, opened the door to our world. But it wouldn’t budge for a while, like something on the other side was holding it shut. Finally, I was able to open it just enough for me, and a little something else too, to jump out. When I turned around, I saw the face of the monster that tried to kill me very briefly before the portal closed. I felt something run down my cheek and my blood froze for the second time when I realized my cheek was bleeding.
(Flashback ends)
“Ever since then, the place keeps popping up in my memory from time to time.” She finished regaling her tale.
Hearing what Starlight had to say first-hoof, Twilight wasted no time in retrieving a book from one of the higher shelves, “The place you described sounds a lot like the place Starswirl the Bearded mentioned in this book.” She turns to the appropriate page, “A place colder than the winter nights flooded with diamonds that could reach the far reaches of space, far beyond Princess Celestia’s sun.” She quoted from the book.
The look of absolute fear and terror on Starlight’s face spelled it all out for the Princess of Friendship, “That’s it.” She confirmed, “That’s exactly it.”
Twilight nods, “Now look Starlight, I know whatever was there really spooked you, and even attacked you, but I don’t think whatever was there can be an actual danger to Equestria.” She says, “Maybe it was being territorial.” She suggested.
But the shake of Starlight’s head told her otherwise, “If it was being territorial, than it would have went for the kill right away.” She swallows her spit, “That thing was malicious, very malicious, and powerful. Whatever it is, we need to take it out now.”
It was now Starlight’s turn to receive a head shake, “No Starlight, we will not attack whatever lays within that dimension.” She cuts Starlight off before she could get a word in, “If what you said is true, than this thing is powerful and dangerous, and as much as I love my friends and believe in the magic of friendship, they’re not suited for combat.” She stated the facts.
Seeing that a raid on the beast within that dimension, the pupil nods, “You think I can turn in early for the night, I’m pretty tired?” She requested, a sudden feeling of fatigue hitting the Unicorn.
Her teacher nods, “Of course, whatever it takes to get it off your mind.” She agrees.
“Thanks.” She stood up from her seat and escorted herself to her bedroom, the memory of the monster in that strange place leaving a very unsatisfactory taste settling in Starlight’s mouth.
“No! Stop thinking about it. Twilight was right, we don’t know what this thing is and what it’s capable of, if we go on now, it’ll be suicide.” She thought as she laid in her bed, “Just got to go to sleep and everything will be fine.” She said, soon falling to sleep.
(2 hours earlier)
She jolted awake the moment the cold surface licked her back, standing on all fours to rid her backside from the clutches of the cold.
“Holy mother of Faust that was cold!” She muttered to herself moments before her senses came back to her and she realized where she was, “What the hell?”
“So, we meet again, Starlight Glimmer.”
Turning to the new voice, Starlight squinted her eyes and powered her horn, ready for a throw down, “Who the hell’re you and what do you want with me?” She inquired.
Her hostility was met with hostility from the mare than seemed vaguely similar to her, diamonds sprouting from the ground.
Suddenly, it hit her, “Diamond Tiara?” She calls.
A shake of the mare proves otherwise, “But you’re not too far off.” She crouches down, “As for what I want, just a little warm is all.”
Starlight crouched in response, "You don’t know who you’re dealing with.” She warns.
“Show me what you got.”
To be continued…
