Lightning Dust is a pony that lives on thrills, always looking for a way to take everything to the next level whenever possible. Being a pegasus pony means she usually gets this from her high intensity flying. Whenever she can she flies, usually at full speed.

That's not always the best idea however.

Taking a crash landing, she is struck with permanent damage to both of her wings, stripping her only joy remaining right out of her body. However when one door closes another opens elsewhere. With new technology and the invention of the automobile helping transport ponies faster throughout Equestria, many ponies are taking advantage of these new vehicles using them as ways for unicorns and earth ponies to have competitions called street races. Lightning isn't very fond of the idea however, with her absolute hatred towards vehicles.

On her way home from the hospital though, she encounters and abandoned one on the roadside that, not only gives her back her thrill seeking potential and changes her mind about automobiles, but will also get her hoof in the door for one of her most thrilling and dangerous choices she has made ever.
