Hello Grandson

Not long after seeing the world of Equestria in its new state, Flash Magnus lands in the Crystal Empire right in front of Flash Sentry. "What's your name son?" asks Flash Magnus.

"My name is Flash Sentry. My paw says I was named after my great great 20x more great-grandfather," replies Flash Sentry.

"What was your grandfather's name son?" Flash Magnus inquires.

"His name was Flash Magnus," replies Flash Sentry. "You look just like him."

"That's because I am him," replies Flash Magnus. Flash Sentry gasps in semi-disbelief. He had thought for so long that Magnus was dead.

"I thought you were dead," says Flash Sentry stunned.

"No, not dead, banished into Limbo to save you and the rest of the ponies from the Pony of Shadows. Now the Pony of Shadows is gone and I'm back for good," replies Flash Magnus as he embraces Flash Sentry in a great big hug. The two then go off to lunch to catch up.

At lunch, the two talk. "So, you're on the guard now, I'm impressed grandson," sighs Flash Magnus before taking a big gulp of cider.

"Yeah, some things will forever run in the family," giggles Flash Sentry. "My dad's side of the family has been guards going all the way back to you and now I'm one too."

The two soon finish up lunch and three more rounds of cider before going to the Flash family house. There, Flash calls to his dad who comes down and embraces both him and Magnus in a hug. "Hey Magnus," says Flash Sentry's father, Flash Sentry Senior. "It's so good to have you back. I'm so glad you're back."

"Yeah, Limbo got lonely just the six of us," replies Magnus.

"The six of you?" says Flash Sr. surprised.

"Yes, myself, Starswirl, Somnambula, Mistmane, Meadowbrooke, and Rockhoof," replies Flash Magnus. "Now, whatever happened to the old royal squadron flying team?"

"They all retired years ago after you disappeared, you were their best flyer and they thought they couldn't function at their best without you, so they disbanded," replies Flash Sr. with a frown.

Magnus frowns. "Well, I did miss so much, huh?"

"You missed a whole lot," replies Flash Sr. "You missed several years, thousands of years. The Wonderbolts are the major flying team now."

"Can you take me to meet the Wonderbolts then?" inquires Flash Magnus. Flash Jr. nods and he and Flash Magnus fly off towards the Wonderbolts grounds where they land an hour later and are greeted by Spitfire. She stands at attention when she sees Magnus land.

"Hello sir, welcome back sir," she says, standing in salute.

"No need to salute ma'am," says Flash Magnus. "I want to see what your team's got."

"Sir, yes sir," says Spitfire as she grabs Soarin, Rainbow, Sky Stinger, Vapor Trail and the other Wonderbolts and they then take to the skies. They happily put on their best performance for Magnus and Flash Sentry. At the end of it, they land and Magnus compliments them with a smile.

"You guys sure have what it takes to fly for and represent Equestria," says Flash Magnus. "You've led them well, Spitfire."

"Thanks, sir," replies Spitfire. "I do have your horseshoes to fill."

"And you've filled them well," replies Flash Magnus. "Now get back to practice." Spitfire nods and she and the rest of the Wonderbolts take back to the skies. Flash Magnus and Flash Sentry then fly off back to the Crystal Empire themselves where they spend the afternoon chatting it up with Cadence and Shining Armor and playing with Flurry Heart. Flash Magnus is glad to be back in Equestria, back in his home in the Crystal Empire, he's glad to be back where he belongs.
