Twilight came out from CHS with her 6 friends. They all chat happily as they should be. They went to a cafe not far from the school. Everyone except Twilight ordered for snacks, Twilight was only ordering a drink. Then a look on Twilight's pale face makes Sunset wonder if something wrong.

"Hey, what's wrong?" asked Sunset as she try to looked at her eyes.

"Nothing, i'm just felt..." said Twilight, try to think on what she's going to say as she makes a circling hand gesture. "Well, bored."

After the snacks and drinks are served, they enjoy their meal. Sunset and the rest was seems to concerned on Twilight's response of 'bored'. They were wondering why.

"What makes you bored?" asked Fluttershy as she eats her pretzels.

"I dunno, kind of... tired to just study and searching and..." Twilight thinks for a moment. "Ugh, everything you do in school."

"I though ya liked it," said Applejack while raising her left eyebrow.

"Yeah, actually," said Twilight. "But it's getting boring only doing that."

"Well, you have friends to talk with," said Pinkie. "Does that doesn't make you bored?"

"Well, a little bit," replied Twilight with a huff.

"Are you telling me that you want to do some, adventure stuff?" asked Rainbow.

"Yeah, something like that," said Twilight with agreement with her finger pointing at Rainbow.

"I don't know, darling but," said Rarity, putting her hand on her chin. "You're not kind of adventurer type."

"Plus, i don't know if you able to do something like that," added Rainbow. "Like, Daring Do."

"Besides, we're still in school day," said Sunset while shrugging her shoulder. "Well, unless..."

"Unless?" asked Twilight.

"Unless there will be a long week vacation," said Sunset.

"Well, it's a good thing," said Fluttershy. "Principal Celestia said it will be 6 long weeks of vacation."

Twilight surprised to hear the news. Although, she didn't hear any news this lately.

"Looks like that means i can go have an adventure with you," said Twilight with a smile.

"Uhh," Fluttershy responded, seems to be unsure of the statement. "I'm not sure you can go with the 6 of us."

"Wait, 6 of you? What do you mean?" asked Twilight quickly.

"We have our troubles here," said Sunset firmly. "I have some errands with Princess Twilight, Rainbow and Fluttershy are needed somewhere out from here, Rarity has been called by the fashion supervisor in urgent, Applejack had business trouble at her family's business, and Pinkie, well, she has no idea where to spend time for vacay except at home and parties."

"Well, shit," said Twilight cursing.

"Shush, watch it" said Rarity, barely insulted of her statement. Everyone was surprised to hear it until got they choked a bit while eating

"Sorry," said Twilight.

After they finished their meals, they all said goodbyes and went home. Twilight wasn't felt relieved that they can't let her have vacation with them due to their own problems. Sunset did mention that those Shadowbolts (Crystal Prep Academy) can't have vacation with her too because they had a big project to do for 6 weeks vacay. After Twilight reached home, she dropped her bag and jumped on her sofa. She just thinking what she will do on her vacay while Spike (her talking dog) was watching TV after greeted with Twilight.

After a while, the bell on the front door rang. She came to the door and open it with haste, wanting to get back to her mind about planning an adventure. After she opened the door, she suddenly hugged by Indigo, a member of Shadowbolts, right after opening the door. She hugged her much stronger than she would do.

"Indigo, would you, just let me go," said Twilight as she tries to get a breath. "You're squeezing me."

"Oh, sorry," said Indigo, letting go Twilight. "Was that too much?"

"Honestly, yeah," replied Twilight as she patted her stomach. "Want to come in?"

"yeah" said Indigo. "Come on, girls!"

They all entered Twilight's house in happy. Twilight gets some soft drinks for her Shadowbolts friends. While doing so, they chatted happily plus joking around with Twilight and Lemon. Twilight then sit down on her sofa next to Sugarcoat, while taking a drink for her own. Twilight talks a bit about she's doing and what news around the town, Indigo and her friends were talking a lot. Did mention about the 6 weeks vacation will be used for their big project for the school. Sour then asked Twilight about she's planning a vacation.

"Have any plans for vacay?" asked Sour, smiling

"I still don't have one," replied Twilight as she scratched her head.

"Oh, really? Not like researching or something?" asked Sugarcoat, it was joke intended so everyone laughed.

"Nope," replied Twilight, shooks her head and turned her tone serious.

"Oh, i forgot, how's your study so far?" asked Indigo.

"It's..." Twilight paused for a moment. "Boring."

"Huh, really?" asked Sugarcoat as she giggled and pushing her with her right fist to the shoulder for joke.

"Ye-yeah, really," said Twilight as she open her palms in front of her chest.

"Hmm, odd, it never bored you," said Sunny.

"Well now i'm bored, i just need an adventure and i can't find it." said Twilight as honest as she can.

The Shadowbolts felt pity for her. "Oh, sorry, i hope you find one soon," said Lemon.

"Why don't you asked your friends about it?" asked Sour. "The ones from CHS."

"They can't, they are super busy during this vacation, like you guys," said Twilight.

"Sorry, good luck with that," said Sour, frowned.

"Thanks," said Twilight to Sour.

The next hours, they spend time played a little game called scribblers. A game that you have to made a word from a lot of letters on a small magnet rectangular-shaped pieces. Twilight was the one who won the scribblers. Sour was felt unbelievable while the others giggled, Twilight did apparently add the word 'sucker' in the scribblers.

"What the- what is this meaning?" asked Sour in disbelieve.

"What? Any words are allowed, right?" asked Twilight, the others laughed.

"Wha- aah, alright," said Sour sincere.

They watched the TV after that, commenting and debate everything about what's on TV. There was this one, make Twilight interested. There was this one news concerning about the US Army Rangers. Saying about how bad the war by the US Army Rangers and the Talibans in Afghanistan.

There was a soldier named Sgt. Foley, he was there for fighting and saving people in Afghan on the TV. He seems to be African-American according to his black skin. He was in the US Army Ranger, 1st Battalion, 75th regiment. His squad is called Hunter 2-1.

"The war's raging fast around here to be sure," said Foley, as the soldiers on the background are heading to the mountain for any possibilities of enemy nest. "But we still have hope for this fight, we sacrifice for what we fighting for. whether it's for our brothers, people, and nation. Let's hope for the future the war in here will be finished soon."

"I really agreed to him," said Sugarcoat, nodding.

"I wonder how it feels like in the war," said Sour, curiously.

"It would be an adventure," said Lemon.

"You're sure about it?" asked Sunny. "It's war."

"Yeah, you're right," said Sour. "If something bad happens then, crap."

Everyone giggled to her statement. "What?" asked Sour confused as she giggled with them.

"Crap," said Indigo as she use hand gestures with fingers open and close, they then laughed.

After hours later, time shows that now it's 10.00 PM. It's about to get late. The Shadowbolts then hugged Twilight and said goodbye before return home. Twilight than sat down next to Spike on the sofa. Spike then rolled over and putting his back on the sofa and looked at Twilight upside down. Twilight was seems to be serious thinking about what did she watched on the TV.

"What are you thinking, Twilight?"

"About adventure," replied Twilight. From what it seems, she want a new job and looks for a risk.

"Wait, don't tell me you want to join those US Army Ranger," said Spike in certain, as he rolled over to his regular position.

"How did you know?" asked Twilight surprised.

"You watched that news, then you're starting to think that they would need your help," replied Spike, short, solid and clear.

"Oh, yeah," said Twilight in jumpy.

"What would you want to join them?" asked Spike.

"The first very obvious, fight for nation. Second, our brothers are out there, we will helped and protected each other. Third, i will have skilled to handle any kind of situation. The fourth, is protect any life of innocent souls." Her answers really neat.

"You know, maybe you could do that," said Spike. "But, what about your physics, you're not strong enough to fight out there, except you're smart."

"Actually, i did improve physic's with Dash," said Twilight. "But for combat, i learned it myself from books and videos."

"And it really worked out?" asked Spike, raising left eyebrow.

"Yeah, i did able to take down a robber who was threatening me with a knife," said Twilight confidently.

"Whoa, that's cool."

"Yeah it is."

"No, i-i mean do you really think you can do it? to fight out there?"

"Yeah, i think i can."

The next day, the long vacation has started. All of her friends starting to get super busy by now. The good thing is, she had it all planned out for her planning on doing adventure. Around 07.00 AM she woke up and drink a cup of coffee, taking bath, and feed Spike. And around 08.00 AM she gone out to the military fort around Canterlot City. She asking the people around the town for finding where is it. She found it, it called Royal Sapphire Military Fort, located on the outskirts of the city.

Not to mention she brings Spike around. When she is about to enter the fort, she told Spike to stay outside for a while. Spike was being deniable for that. Until, a soldier sees her and came at her. When he came at her, she said something to him.

"Ah, no, don't worry i got th-," she suddenly halted, the man that she was talking to is Sergeant Foley, the one in the TV.

"Is there any trouble?" he asked, Twilight just unconsciously stared at him a bit longer. "Uh, miss?"

Twilight suddenly realize herself that she just standing there staring at him, she blinks her eyes and shook her head to awaken herself. "Oh, uh sorry, are you that guy on the TV, Sgt. Foley?" she asked as Spike sit down and watch her doing.

"Yes, i am," he replied. "1st Battalion, squad Hunter 2-1."

"Oh, um, can you do me a favor?" she asked. "Can you keep an eye on the dog?"

"Oh, sure," he replied, he crouched at the dog and scratched his neck gently. "You're here to meet someone?"

"No, sir," she replied. "But i would like to join one."

Stating that she wants to join the army, Foley surprised to hear it and raised his eyebrow. He stand up after petting the dog and stared her in rare.

"Um, something's wrong?" she asked as her head moving back.

"Well," he scratched his head. "It's just, very rare to see ladies want to join the army."

"Is it hard training or fighting?" she asked curiously.

"Both," he replied. "And you seem, a bit younger than a twenties years old."

"Well, that's true," she said awkwardly, Spike just huffed. "I'm actually a high-school student."

Foley felt unbelievable, his eyes gone wide as he stares at her. "A high-school student that want to join the army? Hell, that's crazy!"

"Well, yeah i know," replied Twilight embaressed.

"I don't know if you can join us," said Foley quickly. "Unless,..."

Twilight felt annoyed to hear that word 'unless' like she was talking to Sunset back at the cafe, but then she tried to keep her cool. "Unless?"

"You're some sort of a special student," said Sgt. Foley. "So, what's speciallity?"

"Well, really not good at physics," said Twilight, blushing. "But, i learned combat technique, Grade A+ on Science, Maths, Chemicals, Engineering, Crafting. I got a lot trophies on those lessons i got."

Sgt. Foley then thinks for a while, with his hand holding his chin and his other hand holding his elbow. "You said Engineering, do you even fix cars, engines, plumbing pi-"

"Yes, i do," said Twilight quickly.

"Hmm, maybe you really worth to join the army," said Sgt. Foley. "But..."

"What?" asked Twilight, waiting for answer as she steps closer to him with her head moved to the front.

"Are sure you want to join? I mean what about your parents that still concern about you, about you're getting killed?" asked Foley. "I'm not sure you'll be okay."

"Don't worry, they don't mind," said Twilight, smiling and flattered by his worries. " I'll be okay."

"One more thing," said Sgt. Foley.

"Yeah?"

"What you're really in for?" he asked.

"Adventure," replied Twilight as she widen her arms to her sides.

"I don't think it would be fit with the army," said the Sergeant. "But, i much more prefer, NEW EXPERIENCE."

Twilight thinks for awhile, looking down the ground before looking back at him. "I agree with that."

"Good, how about i talk to the boss in here about you? You don't need to explain to him by yourself, "offered Sgt. Foley.

"Oh, thanks," said Twilight happily. "I'll be here."

"By the way, do you live here?" asked Foley.

"Yeah, you?" asked Twilight.

"Nah, i just taking a break here. Back away from gunnin' and stuff," said Foley, folding his arms.

"Ok," said Twilight.

"Alright, i'll talk to the boss now about you," said Foley as he points at the fort.

"Yeah, sure" said Twilight quickly, Foley then head inside and talked to the boss.

Twilight then looked at her dog. " What about sit out here for a while?"

"Yeah, that should do it," said Spike happily, relieved that he doesn't need to wait outside.

They both then sit down on the bench located next to the main entrance. They chat while waiting for Sgt. Foley done talking to the boss. After Foley went in, he asked one of the soldiers around for asking if he's still available. He then walked into the Colonel's room.

The Colonel's name is Parry Marshall Wenton (this is not Kurt Marshall's son, the police officer). He has green eyes, pale/light skin, and has a little mark of a recently shaved mustache above his lips. He is one hard nut-cracker when it comes to the freshmens. His looks will be like this according to the picture on his desk, when that time he was on the battle.

"Good morning, Sergeant Foley," greeted Colonel.

"Morning, sir," greeted back Foley, with his respectful manners by standing still and give respect with his left hand opened above his forehead.

"At ease," said Colonel.

Sgt. Foley sit down on the chair in front of the Colonel's desk and Marshall asked him. "Why do you want to talk to me?"

"Well, i think you're going to hate this," said Foley.

"Heh! A new freshman, eh?" asked Colonel with his upset tone.

"Yeah, but this one is quite different," said Foley, squeeking.

Colonel stands up from his chair and put both arms on the desk wide as he stares him in odd. "What do you mean different?"

It was pretty long discussion until Twilight already noticed it's already passed 2 hours. But then soon, Sgt. Foley came out from the base and looked around for Twilight.

"Hey, there's the Sarge," said Spike as points his feet at him.

"Oh, let's go," said Twilight, standing up from the bench and came at him.

"So, how did it go out?" she asked.

"Well, pretty long conversation including the part you're a high-student who is to early to take this career," said Foley. "But, you're in, they need someone like you."

Twilight was joyful to hear it. "God, that's great! Um, when my work start?"

"Tomorrow at 08,00 AM," said Foley. "Your place will be showed by one of the soldiers in there, just ask and he leads the way."

"Alright, thanks for your help."

"Your welcome."

"Alright i'll be heading home now."

"Alright, careful on the road,"

"Ok, bye."

"See ya."

Twilight head home with her dog via taxi, she was very pleased to hear that. Foley, just smile and shook his head for head. But then, It did come in mind about it.

"Does she really can survive this?"

This is my first time to be honest, at least i can make a story of it. Sorry if there's any wrong words or storyline.
