The heat of the sun beat upon the ponies backs as they worked in the fields doing all different manner of jobs. The Griffins patrolled the fields with their metal spears and clubs. In the distance, a forest sprawled offering an escape to any who dared enter.
In the evening all the ponies in the fields were ushered into a large barn where they were given farm animal food. Once they were fed they were forced to sleep in piles of hay huddled against each other for warmth during the deathly cold nights.
I awoke, I immediately noticed that most other ponies in my hay pile had left to eat before another tiring day of labor began. Getting to my hooves I started walking towards the crummy food troughs where they served us our meals. It was very demeaning for me to be treated like common livestock. The Griffins had occupied Equestria for seven years now. During the beginning of their occupation, there was still hope for an uprising as parts of the royal guard were still holding strong. Unluckily for the guard, the Griffins had begun to purchase black powder weapons from the Minotaurs which quickly dismantled any resistance left.
Everypony on this farm had given up hope and had fallen into a routine of sorts. Every week on Tuesday the Griffins would receive another shipment of slaves to replace those they’d lost in the past week. At this point, most of my friends had either been beaten to death or died from the cold. I had no one left. I was alone… Forgotten
I was suddenly ripped from my thoughts when I heard a loud squawking and the running of hooves. I immediately knew what was going on. One of the freshly shipped ponies was making a run for the woods. Some made it to the woods, none ever escaped the Griffins. I heard the screams of Griffins and ponies alike before a loud boom echoed throughout the air. Everything was silent as everypony and Griffin alike went back to work.
I took only a few more minutes to finish my meal before trotting over to the door to wait for work to begin. I only had to wait a second before two Griffins pushed the large red doors open letting a swath of fresh air touch our nostrils. Trotting into the fields I began my work for the day already feeling the effects of the scorching sun.
Three hours later I was towards the end of a row of beans when a foul smell reached my nose. Taking a moment to look around I noticed flies buzzing around the end of the row. Hoping that my suspicions weren't true I continued to work picking the bean pods one by one, plant by plant, edging ever closer. The closer I got the more the smell increased. Moving forward my suspicions were proven true. Lying dead in front of me was the pony that had attempted to escape our prison. His abdomen had a gaping hole in it. His entrails spread along the ground around him the flies already tearing into his exposed flesh.
The scene was nauseating, to say the least. I staggered backward causing me to drop the basket of bean pods. I tripped on a small rock beneath my hooves falling to the ground with a thump. I heard squawking around me as I was suddenly surrounded by three griffins. They looked at each other and then back at me before one of them grabbed me by the scruff my neck and began to drag me through the dirt.
I sighed, I knew what was to come. I was going to be brought inside The Shed and either given lashings or beaten to death with a club. My coat was collecting twigs and grass as the crudely dragged me to my demise. I watched as ponies nodded or smiled a bit as I was dragged past them paying their last regards to my fading existence. I was soon at the door of The Shed. A blindfold was put over my face and I felt myself being lifted and brought inside. I was set upon a cold metal table. I could hear a fire roaring in the corner making the room feel much like a sauna.
I did not move or struggle as I knew I would be beaten harder if I did so. I layed there in silence all I could hear was the crackling of the fire and the slow breaths of the Griffins. I heard another Griffin enter through the door.
I heard the new Griffin speak, “Leave us. I will prepare the subject for the mistress,” He squawked at the other Griffins.
I heard four sets of claws move to the door and leave. The Griffin swiftly moved forward. I felt him come up beside me and put a claw of my right hoof. He strapped it down to the table and did likewise with my left.
He started to move onto my back hooves when he stopped, “My, my you are very quiet. By now most subjects would already be screaming and kicking. Do not worry little pony soon enough you will join them,” I could feel his warm breath on my face.
He moved on strapping my back hooves down. I heard him move across the room and begin messing with the fire. Another knock at the door made my ears swivel. The Griffin already in The Shed moved to the door.
I heard the door open, “Please do come in mistress I’ve gone ahead and prepared things how you like them,” He said to the approaching female Griffin.
“Why thank you Odesius. I’ll take over from here. I do so enjoy this part,” I heard her reply.
I heard the door close, “My, what a quiet pony. Don’t worry mama bird will make you scream,” She said in a sultry voice.
I heard her walk across the room talons clicking against the floor. I could feel my heart begin to race as I heard her pick up something sharp and metal.
I felt her presence near me again, “I can smell your fear little pony -” I felt something hot touch my leg -” It smells so good!” I felt a sharp pain erupt in my thigh as she plunged the knife deep into my haunch.
I screamed in agony as she cackled to herself. I felt her slowly pull the knife from my leg. I heard her talons click upon the floor as she moved to my other side. Instincts kicked in as I began to struggle against the straps that bound my hooves to the table.
“Sh-sh little pony don’t struggle it will all be over soon,” I heard her whisper in my right ear.
She plunged the knife into my other haunch eliciting another wave of pain throughout my body. I screamed my lungs burning with the smoke from the fire in the room.
“Naughty boy, I’m going to have to gag you now,” Still screaming I felt her put a gag in my mouth and tie it around my head I couldn’t struggle. The pain was too much.
She pulled the knife out once more. My wounds weren’t bleeding as the knife was red hot from the fire. I heard talons walking off somewhere. Minutes passed before I felt breath on my coat once more.
“Let’s try something new why don’t we?” I heard her ask in her husky voice.
I felt something boiling hot on my right hauch. I felt her press a saw into my skin. Slowly she started breaking through my skin and immediately cauterizing it allowing her to continue without blood. She began to pick up speed I felt the saw begin to break my bone. I tried to cry out but nothing more than a muffled moan came from my mouth.
She continued sawing for what felt like hours, I heard her sigh in relief as my I heard my leg fall off the table to the ground, “Do you know why I do this little pony? -” No comment -” It’s because it gets me off. I love to hear your muffled screams,” I heard her tease.
I was crying the water from my tears soaking the blindfold I could hardly breathe from the amount of pain I was experiencing. I heard her return to what I could only assume was the fire. She walked back across the room to by another side.
Breathing heavily I felt her plunge the saw into my other leg. I squealed and started crying harder. I heard her laugh as she sawed off my other hind leg. My breathing became scarce as I began to pass out from the amount of pain my frail body was experiencing.
I heard her laugh once more before I passed into another time.
Hours later I woke up cold. I tried to get to my hooves but came to the bleak conclusion that I had none. I tried to scream in anger and somber sadness but only a grunt came out as I was now missing my tongue. I began to cry louder. My wails filled the air. I tried to open my eyes, but they’d been taken too….
What kind of monster would do this?
