Rainbow Dash arrived at Rarity’s boutique. Rarity had been hard at work on the dress Rainbow Dash had requested for going on 3 weeks. Applejack complained about this wait being excessive, wanting to just get the whole thing over with, but she wasn’t in the position to make demands of Rainbow Dash. And Rainbow Dash wanted to wait until the dress was finished. Everything had to be perfect because she wouldn’t get a chance like this again.

Rainbow Dash knocked on the door of the small shop. It was a small white shop that was connected to the other buildings on the block. A sign on the door read Unique Boutique in white overly fancy letters, and a window out front showcased some of Rarity’s designs. The curtain behind the window was closed, as was often the case when Rarity was working on new designs and didn’t want prying eyes on her while she worked.

The shop itself was technically owned by the local community college, as a place to showcase the work of local artists and help them land bigger jobs. At the moment though Rarity was by far the most prolific of the artists that used the space, so it basically belonged to her.

Rainbow Dash could hear Rarity shuffle to the door and unlock it.

“Rainbow Dash!” Rarity exclaimed happily. “Thank you for coming by again. I’m just putting the final touches on your dress,” Rarity said as she invited Rainbow Dash in, quickly closing the door behind them. “I’ve got to say,” Rarity began as the two made their way to the back room. “This was a very … unique project."

“Yeah yeah,” Rainbow Dash said flustered. “I just want to go all out since I hardly ever win these things.”

“Sure,” Rarity said in disbelief.

“Is it done or what!” Rainbow Dash said trying to move the conversation along.

“Yes, I had just finished it a few hours ago” Rarity said annoyed at Rainbow Dash’s tone. She opened the door to the design room and walked in.

“Sunset!” Rainbow Dash said in shock. True to her exclamation Sunset Shimmer stood in the center of the room, modeling the dress Rainbow Dash had requested.

“What? I model for Rarity some times,” Sunset explained. “Even if I don’t agree with why she’s doing it, it’s still nice to help out a friend.”

The dress that Sunset was wearing, the one meant for Applejack later, was extremely childish. The dress was pink, the chest adorned with multicolored circles featuring several cutely drawn animals. The sleeves were puffy and white, the edges trimmed with pink and adorned with a yellow bow and they didn’t extend far past the shoulder. The dress cinched a few inches above Sunset’s waist where it fanned out into the skirt. The “waistline” was decorated with a pink bow in the center. The skirt was yellow for most of the length, the last half an inch was taken up by white and it was trimmed with pink similar to the sleeves. As Sunset turned around Rainbow Dash noticed that the skirt rode up into the waistline in the back in a v-shape, creating a peek-a-boo style skirt that gave an easy view to the matching diaper cover.

The diaper cover matched the colors of the dress. It was pink, with yellow ruffles in the rear and white frills around the leg holes.

Sunset didn’t seem bothered by the outlandish nature of the dress, though it was clear she’d been wearing it for some time, modeling it as Rarity made final adjustments. The several hours alone with Rarity had eased her out of the initial embarrassment, but it was no longer just her and Rarity. Sunset became more aware of rainbow Dash seeing her in it and the embarrassment started to come back

“This seems a little much Rainbow Dash,” Sunset commented on the extravagance of the dress. “Where did you even come up with something like this?”

“She found it online,” Rarity answered for Rainbow Dash. “I found the website you got that picture from to get some more inspiration. I have to say this led to some less reputable places.”

“I wasn’t looking at all of that!” Rainbow said defensively. “Well I mean I looked at it, but it was just on the way to finding a humiliating dress.”

“I’m sure,” Rarity said. “Regardless of your intentions though, I have to say I rather like how it turned out. It’s surprisingly cute coming from you.”

“Yeah cute is one word,” Sunset remarked. “Well what do you think Rainbow Dash?” Sunset asked with a sarcastic twirl. “Is it everything you wanted?”

“It’s perfect,” Rainbow Dash said quietly with genuine emotion.

“What?!” Sunset asked surprised by what seemed like a genuine remark from Rainbow Dash.

“I mean Applejack is going to hate it,” Rainbow Dash said attempting to save face.

“Is everything ok Rainbow Dash?” Rarity asked concerned at her friend’s odd behavior.

“Yeah you seem a little different,” Sunset added. “Having second thoughts?”

“No!” Rainbow Dash said with a stammer. “I’ve just had a long day ok.”

“Sure thing Dashie,” Sunset said not believing her. “Ok Rarity get me out of this thing, Rainbow Dash is looking at me all weird.” Rarity began to unzip Sunset out of the dress while Rainbow Dash looked away embarrassed as it appeared Sunset wasn’t wearing anything under the dress.

“Relax Dash it’s a body suit,” Sunset said calmly. Rainbow peeked her eyes open to see that Sunset was wearing a tight body suit that matched the color of her skin almost exactly.

“That’s why Sunset makes such a good model,” Rarity began with a giggle. “She’s the only one whose skin tone matches the body suit.” Sunset huffed at the comment.

“I’m still not ok with all of this by the way,” Sunset added snidely as she was getting dressed back into the clothes she arrived in. “It’s still better than the time Applejack dressed you up as a work horse. Which she still hasn’t apologized for, I took offense to that whole charade.” Rarity giggled a little at this but stopped when Sunset glared at her.

“I know I shouldn’t be laughing, but it’s kinda funny,” Rarity said struggling to keep a straight face. Sunset sighed angrily.

“It does look really cute though,” Sunset said with a grin. “I think this is all ridiculously over the top. That being said, take picture because Applejack is going to look so cute in this.”

“I know right,” Rarity said gushing. “You can go ahead and take the dress with you today,” Rarity said handing the dress to Rainbow Dash, who began to fold it up and put it in her backpack. “Here’s the key,” Rarity said handing Rainbow Dash a small key chain with two keys. “They sold locking zippers, I figured you’d want that.”

“Well since it’s already on there,” Rainbow Dash feigned disinterest.

“I’ve also been working on some other things, the iron was hot so to speak. I’ll get them to you if I finish in time.” Rainbow Dash was barely paying attention, as she was already texting Applejack, making plans for her to hold up her end of the bargain that weekend.

“Have fun you two,” Rarity called out to Rainbow Dash as she left. Rarity and Sunset shared a giggle as Rainbow Dash left blushing.

Applejack sighed as she read the series of texts from Rainbow Dash. In between the expected taunting that she had been subjected to since she lost she got that she was to report to Rainbow Dash’s house in a few days. She quickly responded with a simple “yes” and she was once again bombarded by several taunting texts. Applejack silenced her phone out of frustration.

Applejack was used to this kind of gloating from Rainbow Dash the few times she was victorious. The girls had a habit of gloating. Even with that though, the amount she was doing was odd. In general Applejack felt weird about the whole situation. Not only was it an exceptionally weird request, but Rainbow Dash was acting strange about it as well, stranger than she should. Applejack had a notion that all of this excessive celebration on rainbow Dash’s part was to cover something up. She couldn’t imagine what though, and ultimately it didn’t matter.

She had made an agreement, a humiliating one, but an agreement none the less, and she intended to follow through with it. Regardless of what Rainbow Dash’s intentions were she was going to do. And whatever it was it couldn’t be that bad. At least Applejack hoped it couldn’t be that bad. While she had an expected amount of concern and trepidation for it, Applejack had to admit that she was glad it would all be ending with this, as it was beginning to become exhausting.

Also I know I have a habit of going to Rarity to make cute outfits every time, but honestly it's unbelievable to me if she doesn't make them cute outfits given the opportunity.
