Twilight Velvet hates doing this sort of thing. It’s not so much of hopping on a train towards Ponyville was anything she disliked, rather the sole fact that her husband, Night Light, has any idea that she was going down there, to begin with. Then again, she’s not going there for her daughter either who happens to live there. If anything, this whole trip is a secret that she had told absolutely no one about.
She even took pains to disguise herself, to make her as inconspicuous as possible. The weather thankfully gave her the excuse as it was raining in the chilly November air where she had a black raincoat and an umbrella that both hid her face and kept the rain off of her. Every so often, she would stop to check the map to be absolutely sure that she knew exactly where she was going. Although a Canterlot unicorn, she wasn’t afraid of getting her hooves dirty in the mud as she was heading towards her destination: Sweet Apple Acres.
After trudging through the mud, she came up to the door to which she knocked on it. A moment later, an orange mare with a blond mane answered it. “Yes?”
Velvet folded up her umbrella, “Hello dearie.”
She blinked, “Twilight Velvet? What are you doin’ here on a day like this?”
“I’m running an errand… uh, Applejack, isn’t it?”
“Uh-huh. So what can Ah do ya for? We don’t have fresh apples this time of year, Ah’m afraid since we’re gettin’ ready fer winter. But we do have stuff in jars that-”
“Actually, I’m looking for someone,” the unicorn interrupted. “Your brother, I think. Macintosh isn’t it?”
“Ya mean Big Mac?” she nodded, “He’s in the storage part of the house. Why?”
“I just want to ask him something and then I’ll leave. I just need five minutes to speak with him about something.”
Applejack raised an eyebrow, “That bein’?”
“Something to do with a birthday coming up, it’s just a question I want to ask of him and then I’ll go.”
The orange mare told her okay, even though Velvet could tell that she was a little bit suspicious but she did let her go while giving her some direction. After unfolding her umbrella, she walked around the farmhouse until she came to the side of the house where all the tools were kept with the barn doors creaked open. Inside, hoisting bales of hay onto a pulley system was the scarlet stallion that she was looking for. It was evident that he had been working in the barn for quite some time as he was sweating and wiped his brow.
“E-Excuse me,” Velvet began, getting the stallion’s attention. “Are you Big Macintosh?”
“Uh…” he tilted his head. “Do Ah know you?”
“Unlikely, but you probably know Princess Twilight Sparkle?”
“Yeah, she’s a friend of mah sis.” He said as he sat back against a bale of hay.
“Well, I’m her mother, Twilight Velvet,” as she folded her umbrella again she walked in and closed the door as she entered. “I know that this is unexpected, but I wanted to come by to ask you something. It’s eh… rather embarrassing to be honest.”
Macintosh raised an eyebrow, “How so?”
She had a touch of pink on her gray muzzle, “Well,” she began. “I’ll say that pretty much everything I know about you come from my daughter. We write as frequently as we could, you see, to catch up on what was going on with our lives and whatnot. Anyway, before I ask you a very big question, I have to know a few things first. Personal things for sure, but there is a reason why I’m asking them”
The stallion tilted his head, “How personal is personal?”
“Very. So to start off, are you in a relationship with somepony?”
Big Mac stared at her for a moment, “Not really?”
“Have you caught anything that might be contagious?”
“Mrs. Velvet, what’s all this about?”
“I’m getting to that, but please humor me for a moment, are you at all sick in any way?” He shook his head. “Okay… good…” she nodded her head as she walked forward to him. “Now onto the big question, but given how personal this is, do keep in mind that you can outright say no anytime. In fact, you don’t even have to-”
“What exactly are ya tryin’ ta ask?”
The unicorn mare stopped and breathed in deeply. “Big Macintosh, would you be interested in having sex with my husband for his birthday?”
As she expected, the storage part of the farmhouse became dead quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the rain outside and tapping against the roof. Besides his eyes that had grown three times their size, the stallion’s expression remained unmoved. As if he was processing what he just heard as he was sticking a hoof in his ears to see if something was blocking them.
“Uh… Beg yer pardon, miss,” he finally said. “Maybe it’s mah ears or the rain, but could ya kindly repeat that one more time?”
Now there was no doubt that she was blushing. “I know this is a lot to ask of anyone, and really, I don’t blame you at all. But I came down here to see if you’d be interested in having male on male sex with my spouse.”
Another long, awkward moment, “Why?” questioned Big Mac.
“Here, let me explain,” she sat down on her haunches. “First thing that you need to know is that I love my Night Light – more than anything in the world with all my heart. We’ve been together for roughly twenty, breathtaking years. He never once cheated on me and I with him. Night is a wonderful stallion to be around. In bed he’s incredible and he still is. But here’s the thing: I knew that he is Bisexual since day one, he told me right up-front. “One last personal question Big Macintosh, have you had a sexual partner before?”
“Well… Ah ain’t a virgin, if that’s what yer askin’. But it’s been so long ago and all that…” He shook to clear his head as Velvet could see the pink on his cheeks. “But what about yer husband? Does he know that yer here and all?”
“Not really. I wanted this to be a surprise for him on his birthday. I know what you’re thinking, and don’t worry about coming between us. Trust me, we have done plenty of weird things in bed before, so this should be nothing. However, you would probably be the first stallion for my husband in who-knows-how-long, and I wanted this to be special. But I won’t dare force you into this at all. I know this is a personal thing so I won’t have you do this unless you are two-hundred percent sure about it.”
Another pause before the stallion asked, “And what about you? Where do you fit in all of this?”
“If it’s okay by you, I kinda interested in watching it.” She said meekly, “I admit, it’s been a long fantasy of mine to see someone as handsome as Night to be going at it with a stallion. So would it bother you or…?”
Big Mac sighed, “Oh boy… this is… Ah mean it’s… Look this is… Could Ah at least think this over?”
“Absolutely,” Velvet nodded. “If anything, I encourage it. But do keep in mind, his birthday is in ten days, so I’d like a reply of yes or no, along with the assurance of if you’re coming if you do decide for it.” Here she lit up her horn and from her raincoat, she levitated a card over to him. “That’s our mailing address. But in the meantime, think it over for a bit.” She was about to open her umbrella when a thought came to her, “One more thing, do you have any questions for me?”
The Apple farmer looked between her and the card he was given, “Just one,” he said, “What’s he like? Ya know, age and all.”
“How old are you?”
“Twenty-four.”
Velvet smiled, “He’s twenty years older than you, still handsome as ever and the nicest stallion you’ll ever meet. Now then, it’s time for me to get back home before Night notices. Though I do hope I’ll hear from you, Mr. Apple?”
Big Mac stared at the card. “Sure… Ah jus’… need some time.”

Velvet peaked his head through the door of her and her spouse’s bedroom. “Yes of course! It wouldn’t work for his birthday if you didn’t. But keep quiet until then, he’s almost to the house.” And with that she closed the door and carefully but briskly walked over the rose petals from their door, down the stairs, and to the front door, listening as her husband’s hoofsteps approached the door.
“Hey hon,” her husband said as he stepped through the door and gave her a nuzzle. “I’m so glad to get out of work early. Do you have any idea what are we doing tonight?”
“Look down.” Puzzled at first, her spouse glanced at the rose petals on the floor, noticing a trail that went up the stairs.
“Oh. It’s that kind of birthday, huh?” Night Light smirked. “Not that I’m complaining, of course.”
“If you don’t mind sweetie,” Twilight Velvet wrapped a foreleg around her husband’s neck, guiding him along the flowery trail. “There are some things I’d like to do something new in the bedroom tonight.”
“Should I be concerned?” He snickered as they climbed the stairs.
“Oh? Concerned? What gave you that idea,” the mare giggled.
“I mean, no offense dear, sometimes your thrill-seeking ideas in the bedroom can make the Marquis de Sade look like a Puritan in comparison.”
She rolled her eyes, “Oh relax, it’s not going to be that extreme – just something that both new and old at the same time for you.”
“Is that a riddle, dear?”
Now at the top of the stairs, the couple walked over the trail of roses towards the front door of their bedroom. Velvet turned around to face her husband, eyes lowered. “So love, are you ready for me to give you your present?”
He was responded with a smile.
“Happy birthday to you,” she began, kissing him quickly before slowly walking backward. “Happy birthday to you,” as planned, her husband followed her, kissing her back with lust in his eyes. “Happy birthday, dear Night Light…” In that instance, she lit up her horn to open the door of their bedroom.
“Happy birthday to you!” At first, Night Light was taken aback as a third, much lower voice sang the last line until he looked over to the side to see, to his surprise, a red stallion lying on their bed in a rather seductive pose, and was wrapped with a comically large red bow that was tied around his hindquarters. Just as soon as he saw him, he lit his own horn to slam the door.
“Uh… Velvet, sweetheart?” the blue stallion began. “Are you aware that there’s a stranger in the house? In our bedroom? On the bed?”
An eye roll later, she opened the door again, “Hon, this here is my present. His name is Big Macintosh Apple, and he has agreed to be yours for your birthday.”
“Mine?” he asked as the two of them crossed over into the bedroom where the ruby stranger was by now getting up, sitting on the edge of the bed. “Wait a sec, I don’t understand. Who is he and what does he want?”
“He’s the brother of one of Twilight’s friends. You know, the Apple farmer one? This is the same brother that has come out about a year ago. And he’s also agreed to be your entertainment for the rest of the evening.”
Night Light glanced between him and his wife before asking Big Mac, “Okay, how much did she pay you?”
He shook his head, “Not a bit, sir.” Mac responded in his country drawl. “Ah mean, truth be told, she did come ta me, but only fer you. Ah agreed to come since Ah’ve been somewhat lonely for a while, but mostly because she wanted this ta happen.”
Night turned to his wife, asking her if this was true. “Dear, I get that everyone has a sexual itch that they’ve just gotta scratch. You’ve gone out of your way to scratch mine on more than one occasion, so I thought that it was time that I do the same with yours.”
“But… are you sure about this? With somepony else that isn’t… well… you?”

Velvet nuzzled her once more, “You are the best wife of all time. Thank you for trusting me with this.” And with that, he waltzed right into the bathroom that was attached to the master bedroom.
“Uh, excuse me ma’am,” Big Mac raised a hoof. “Toy chest?”
“Here,” she lit up her horn to take out a key that was hidden within one of the posts of the bed. Out of the closet, she dragged out a chest in which she let it rest next to the Apple Farmer. “I think that it’ll be better explained if I showed it to you.” After undoing the lock, Big Mac peaked inside in which his whole face turned bright pink.
“Oh… those kind of toys.” The stallion chuckled nervously, “Somethin’ you and yer spouse collected over the years?”
With a smile, she nodded, “Mhmm, you’d be surprised of often we used these to help spice things up or play sex games. Well that, and maybe a little something on our long trips away from each other. Now if you’d excuse me, I need to pull out a toy for me.” She took out from the chest a hot pink object in which it had an egg shape budge from one end and a white base with switches on the other along with one of the bottles of lubricant. The mare mused over it, “I think number eleven will do just nicely.” She said as she walked over to a pile of cushions in a corner of the room.
Out from the bathroom, Night Light was drying his hindquarters with a towel before tossing it aside. Macintosh could already notice the older stallion’s excitement that was appearing between his legs. “Okay, before anything happens,” he begins. “Are you sure that you want to do this?” With a blush on his face, Big Mac nodded. “Now keep in mind, I am rather rusty when it comes to this sort of thing and I don’t exactly know what your preferences are to this sort of thing. He shrugged, “Ah guess I don’t mind one way or the other. You?”

It’s startin’ ta get cramped down there if ya know what Ah mean.” Night Light chuckled as he lit up his horn to untie the large ribbon and unwrap it as a foal would for a present on Hearth's Warming morning. The blue stallion whistled, “Oh that’s just beautiful.” He held up a hoof to feel the weight of his black, silky sack. “I take it that you’re pent up?”

Big Mac blinked, “That exists?”
Night Light smirked, “Lay back.” The scarlet stallion did as he was told and spread his legs, letting his pride flop onto his belly. As the unicorn uncorked the bottle to drop its contents, he looked over his shoulder, “You got a good view dear?” He was answered by a moan. He chuckled, “I’ll take that as a yes.”
The midnight blue unicorn turned his attention as he made sure that his presence was good and slick before he did the same with his ponut. “Hey hon,” Night spoke up as he reached his neck over to kiss his wife. “I love you.”
“Oh I know,” she smiled back. “Now come on, maybe after cake and ice cream you colts could go for round three.”
