Chapter 4
The Sword of Justice

Keldeo twirled the sword by his side using his magical grip on the hilt as he stared down the giant dragon before him. Kyurem eyed him angrily waiting for the warrior before him to make the first move. He was very annoyed that another Pokemon had somehow ended up here in this world which he had gotten to first. He had come to this small village hoping to get himself set up as a kind of local dictator or something but Keldeo just had to appear. Although Keldeo did look a lot different then he normally did, more like one of these local creatures then his regular self.

But what confused him most of all was the fact that Keldeo was even alive as he remembered the last thing about the justice seeker. He and Keldeo had fought each other on more then one occasion back in their original world with Keldeo always coming out on top. That is until the last battle they had fought each other in where he had come out the victor. He had finally managed to entrap the annoying pest in a large coating of ice so that he couldn't move. And then Kyurem had done what had been forbidden him and all other legendaries by Arceus himself. He had actually killed Keldeo by bringing his claw down on the icy covering shattering Keldeo into pieces and leaving trails of blood all over the battlefield. Thus the Sword of Justice had met his end in battle before the dragon of ice and hunger.

Kyurem growled,"I don't know how you are alive Keldeo but I will kill you again without compunction."

Keldeo just grinned back up at him,"I'd like to see you try big guy. It won't be as easy as the last time." With that he charged with sword raised high ready to take down the greedy beast before him.

Kyurem roared and swiped downwards with a claw that glowed a brilliant white hoping to tear into the pest. Keldeo neatly sidestepped the claw that came crashing down into the ground leaving an imprint.

He taunted Kyurem,"Is that the best you got you half bit Magikarp?" He brought his sword down onto the exposed arm. The blade of the sword bit deep into the ice which covered Kyurem's forearm as armor. Keldeo tugged on the sword quickly as he backed up pulling the sword out with his magic as Kyurem roared at him.

Kyurem inhaled as he prepared another of his attacks and then released it directing his head towards his target. Keldeo was currently by a hill outside of the town while the ponies themselves stayed where they were in their fright. Unfortunately Keldeo was right near two of those town's ponies and he intercepted the attack instead of dodging it.

Having manifested a green hexagon styled shield, he watched as the icy beam attack emanating from Kyurem's mouth washed over him and the ponies he'd moved to protect. He dropped the shield once the attack had ended and charged forwards with a cry,"Yah!" Swinging his sword horizontally before him leaving a large crack in the icy armor of Kyurem's right foreleg as he roared in displeasure.

Kyurem stomped the ground with his massive clawed foot in frustration,"Why won't you just stay in place you pest?!"

Keldeo laughed,"Well it wouldn't be any fun if I did that now would it?" Moving away from Kyurem in the opposite direction he was facing. So Keldeo was leading him further away from the town and into the surrounding field's of Ponyville.

He stopped by the two ponies he had protected and observed them quickly to see if they were okay. They looked shaken but were fine and he eyed them carefully. One of them was a golden colored earth pony mare with a carrot cutie mark, who preferred to go by the name Carrot Top. The other was Rarity who had started out talking to Carrot Top when Kyurem had arrived to demand tribute.

He grinned as he winked at Rarity and said,"Sorry for the scare ladies. You should get on out of here while you can." With that he took off away from them in a sprint as he resheathed his sword while he ran.

Rarity blinked in surprise at the strange stallion winking at her and before she could reply he was gone in a cloud of dust. However she had heard what he said and started to herd Carrot Top away from the area with her head,"Come on dear. We need to get to safety."

Carrot Top was still dazed from the attack that had almost frozen her and mechanically walked away from the area. Rarity had to give her nudges with her head every now and then to keep her on track. And they had just started to get out of the area just in time as Kyurem thundered right past them with large ground shaking steps.

Kyurem roared his anger to the heaven's as he chased the annoying pest that was trying to get away. There was no way he was going to let Keldeo live after his taunting insults and the damage he'd done to Kyurem's armor.

Kyurem roared furiously,"Get back here you blue pest so I can crush you into paste." He fired off several hyper beams in a row, each one impacting against one of the rolling hills and leaving large smoking craters where they hit.

Keldeo stopped on top of a hill 2 miles away from the town as he looked at the large lumbering giant. He panted a bit and then looked down at the device which was embedded in one of the bracers on his forelegs. The display read,"Energy at 80 percent. Time remaining for form 23 minutes...."

He panted,"I...need to...finish this...quickly" He unsheathed the sword at his side with his magic yet again as Kyurem finally reached his area. Kyurem fired off yet another hyper beam but this time Kyurem cast a spell which made the blue sword glow. He brought the sword up at an angle and the hyper beam bounced right off of it being redirected right into the sky. The beam collided with one of the fluffy white clouds and made a large fiery explosion with smoke filling the sky.

Kyurem panted a bit himself,"Finally...You stopped running. Now face me you yellow bellied coward."

Keldeo chuckled having recovered his breath,"Sure. Glad to oblige you fat dragon." He charged forwards with water jetting from the bottom's of his metal hoof guards as he put on more speed. He aqua jetted towards his opponent who brought a glowing white claw down toward's him.

Keldeo's eyes widened as he realized too late that he couldn't redirect himself and the claw came down tearing into his side causing him to holler in pain,"Aaaaaaahhhh." The claw rending into his side and tearing the armor on his sides to thin ribbons as a rather nasty gash was left in his side with pieces of the armor sticking in his wounds. The wounds bled heavily and he couldn't move without massive pain. To make matter's even worse one of his hoof guards was completely missing so he couldn't jet around anymore.

He was lying on the ground on his side as blood started to pool underneath him from his wounds and he looked back up at the big dragon and coughed,"Well you got me."

Kyurem rumbled to himself rather pleased that he finally hit the blue rival of his. "Now to properly finish you off for good." He raised his claw again as it glowed white yet again. He prepared to bring it down on his foe as he said,"Any last words rat?"

Keldeo coughed up a bit of blood as he struggled to get back to his hooves but found his leg's wouldn't respond,"Nothing you would understand."

Kyurem rumbled and brought the claw down quickly only to have it hit something very solid and hard before it reached the pest. It had impacted against a lavender colored shield with a furious looking mare looking up at him standing protectively in front of Keldeo. It was none other than Twilight angry at the giant dragon who had threatened the town and hurt her friend.

"How dare you! How dare you come here and threaten my town and my friends! How dare you hurt my friend! She's in the hospital because of you!" Her horn glowed angrily as she stepped backwards by Keldeo and let the shield spell go. She touched her horn to his.

Keldeo's eyes opened and widened as a tingling feeling filled his horn and then his body as magical healing energy entered him through his horn which was in contact with Twilight's. The huge gashes and claw marks in his side were able to heal enough so that the bleeding had lessened and he could stand again albeit with a limp.

Twilight panted as she looked at the would be hero,"Sorry that's about all that I can manage right now. I'm not really good with healing spells and that took most of my magic to cast."

Keldeo nodded solemly,"I understand. Now get out of here. I can handle him better than you can. He only got lucky." He restarted his magic and his aura wrapped around his sword's hilt yet again.

Twilight nodded to him and quickly ran out of the area despite being a bit out of breath. She didn't want to interfere with this fight anymore as she just didn't have the energy.

Keldeo glared up at the still confused dragon who was looking from his claw to Keldeo and then to the fleeing mare. Kyurem finally growled,"Well looks like what little help you had has now fled. Now I will finally kill you without interference."

Keldeo growled,"We'll see Kyurem. I'll see justice done for what you've done here."

He closed his eyes as his magic wrapped more tightly around the hilt of his sword and he poured magic into the hilt which spread the the sword. The sword grew longer and brighter as the magic flowed into it. It grew to be about 20 feet long and a foot wide as he held it up in his magical grip.

Kyurem growled as he backed up a step,"So you still have access to that secret technique do you. Well that won't help or save you. You'll die just like you did before." He brought down his glowing claw wanting to end the stallion before he could attack.

Keldeo quickly moved the sword sideways and brought the blade of the sword down on the descending arm. The glowing blade passed through the ice encased form arm like a knife cutting through hot butter. But instead of shearing the arm right off it caused it to pause and then Kyurem let out a loud roar of pain as his arm started to convulse. He backed up and held his arm with his good one and glared at Keldeo.

"What have you done you blue pest?"He growled in pain.

"Oh nothing much other than met out the same pain that you gave to those ponies emotionally for scaring them like that. And this next strike you'll feel the pain of the pony that you physically hurt." He brought his sword straight up over his head the blade glowing brighter,"Secret Technique. Sacred Sword of Justice!"

He brought the hilt of his sword down quickly and hard and the blade of light came down on Kyurem's right shoulder causing him to roar in pain and lash out with his good right arm which ran along Keldeo's helm and neck and into his shoulder. But still Keldeo brought his sword down despite the pain that he was feeling. The blade once again passing through Kyurem's armor easily and coming down through his left leg before it buried into the ground and then returned to the wonderful blue sword.

Kyurem howled in pain as his good arm came back with the claw covered in red blood. A long line appeared where the sword cut into him and then frostbite itself creeped onto his skin as he felt what the poor mare he'd hurt had and still was feeling. Kyurem finally crumpled to the ground from all the pain as his eye glared out angrily and in pain at Keldeo who was kneeling on the ground coughing up blood.

Keldeo spat out a wad of blood before glaring at the Kyurem,"For what you did Kyurem I made you feel their pain tenfold. Now Justice has finally been meted out and is satisfied. Now return to our world and never come back. This land is protected by the Swords of Justice and we will not allow you to harm the inhabitants here." With that the spirits of the other three swords of Justice appeared behind him and glared at him.

Kyurem growled in pain,"I have been bested and thus will abide by the rules of our duel and your demands....for now!" With that a portal opened up next to him which he promply crawled through back to his home of the Ice Chasm so he could healm himself. The portal closed with a pop leaving Keldeo behind looking to where the portal had been. He sighed in relief and then heaved as he coughed up another wad of blood.

His helm was now rent and torn on the left side as long thin lines trailed down his neck from the tips of Kyurem's claws and they bled red. His shoulder had been cut open and down deep so that he was bleeding heavily there as well. He was loosing blood very quickly and his host would die soon if he didn't do anything. So he closed his eyes and let out one last weak spell which ended the transformation. He was enveloped in a ball of light and then it shattered leaving behind Brandon with wounds in the same places but not nearly as bad. Keldeo having transferred most of the damage to his soul directly.

The chip containing his image popped up from the device and the image itself was grayed out with cracks running all through the image. It would take time for Keldeo's soul to heal and reform. For now he would be unavailable to help. Brandon himself looked around wearily as his wounds bled if slower.

Twilight reappeared from around a hill and raced over to him."Oh my your really hurt. We have to get you to the hospital now." She was looking at him frantically as Brandon looked back in a haze of pain before his eyes rolled back into his head and he passed out.

Twilight became more frantic and her horn glowed as she mustered what magic she had left and teleported the pair right outside the hospital. Frantically calling,"Please somebody help. I have another wounded pony here and we need help."

A couple of nurses came running out of the hospital to see what was going on only to see Twilight beside the mangled form of a stallion. One quickly ran back in and came out again with a stretcher which they brought over to the stallion. They got him onto it and then took him into the hospital quickly so they could do emergency surgery. Twilight tried to follow but was stopped by one of the other nurses who was none other than Nurse Redheart,"I'm sorry miss Twilight but you'll have to wait out here. You'd just get in the way.

Twilight managed to calm herself a bit by taking deep breaths but nodded,"Right. Thank you Nurse Redheart." With that she went back outside to go check in with her friends to give them an update.

She quickly galloped to the Carousel Botique where she knew Rarity had probably gone to hide while the dragon was around. She skidded to a halt outside the doors as her hooves wore ruts into the ground. She quickly knocked on the door with her hoof as she called out,"Rarity let me in. Its Twilight."

There was the sound of trotting from inside coming towards the door and then it stopped. The door swung open to reveal a frazzled looking rarity who's mane was out of sorts from her frantic pacing she'd kept up since coming to her shop. "Twilight what's going on? Is that dreadful beast finally gone?"

"Let me inside and and I'll tell you what's happened,"Twilight replied out of breath.

Rarity nodded and stepped to the side to let Twilight through. Twilight nodded a thanks and stepped through the door into the interior of the store as she stopped a moment to catch her breath. Rarity moved in front of her and looked her over and calmed herself down,"Well darling your out of sorts aren't you. Let's get you to a seat so you can calm down and tell me what happened."

Twilight nodded again as she said,"Thanks Rarity." She followed Rarity into her sitting room and took a seat on a cushion by a table. Rarity went through another door into her kitchen where she put a kettle of water onto boil for tea. Coming back into the sitting room she sat down on her own cushion as she gestured to Twilight,"Go ahead dear. Tell me what happened."

Twilight let out a deep breath as she started,"Well you already know about the dragon and what it did starting out. Actually you'd know that better than me seeing as how I was in my castle at the time. But I arrived at the battle just in time to save that stallion's flank. He was on the ground bleeding out Rarity! Lying their dying in a pool of his own blood and he would have been finished if I hadn't stepped in and used one of my shields." She looked down at her hooves for a moment as if to imagine the blood having been on her own hooves when it never had been.

"I was so scared Rarity. I knew there was no way that I was going to be able to fight that dragon all on my own. And I was already nearly out of magic having fended off that one claw swipe. I used what little magic I had left and put it into a healing spell to help the stallion. I've never been very good at those kinds of spells but it was enough to heal his nasty wound enough for him to get back up. He told me to go get to safety for the moment so I did. I watched from a hill top as they fought."

She was looking a little frantic at this point and Rarity tried soothing her,"Calm down Twilight. Its okay. The dragon isn't here and everything's ok." She put a comforting hoof on her friend's arm until she calmed down.

Twilight let out another calming breath which eventually calmed her down and she looked back at Rarity with a tiny tight smile,"Thanks Rarity."

Rarity nodded with a smile of her own,"Anytime Darling. Now let me go get the tea." She got up from her seat and went to the whistling and boiling kettle and made herself and Twilight a couple cups of tea. She then brought them back with her into the sitting room and levitated one over to Twilight. Twilight smiled a bit wider and accepted the cup with her own levitation field and took a sip which seemed to calm her more.

She continued after a moment in a calmer voice,"So the stallion who named himself as Shattered Souls poured magic into that blade of his and made it grow real long and bright. As if with some kind of holy light and then he brought it right down on the dragon as it swiped at him. The blade passed right through the dragon's arm and caused it a lot of pain wihtout any cuts. How is that even possible?!"

She shook her head in confusion before continuing,"Then he brought it down again and the dragon seemed to suffer from frostbite. It gave up and went through a portal to somewhere. I'm not sure where. The Souls collapsed and his armor disappeared and I ran over to him. I had to quickly get to the hospital."

Rarity put another comforting hoof on Twilight as she started to spaz out again,"its okay Twilight. You got him the help he needed. You can't do anything else now. Come lay down on my sofa and get some rest. You need it."

Twilight nodded looking at Rarity with exhaustion."That sounds nice. Thanks."

Rarity nodded,"Of course." And let Twilight to her couch and helped her get comfortable before letting her drift off to sleep.

Hey Everyone. Here's the battle between Soul Form Keldeo and Kyurem. I hope everyone enjoyed the battle and then the talk Twilight had with Rarity afterwards. I tried not to make Keldeo overpowered as I really don't want him to be a Gary Stue. Nothing worse than that. So it will take time for him to recover.
