The Sister

Twilight was at Carousal Boutique in Ponyville as Rarity was brushing her hair. She was over their so she could visit Rarity and have a discussion that was kept in private, while she had a conversation with her friend about recent things she had done and problems they had both faced

While Rarity was brushing her hair Twilight wondered where Sweetie Belle was as she hadn't seen Sweetie Belle in a few days now, she wondered if she went back to live with her parents as she seemed to not visit Ponyville anymore, she felt suspicious about Rarity keeping stuff about her sister to herself, she just wanted to know how Sweetie Belle was. She decided to bring it up.

"Rarity where is your sister? I've been walking around Ponyville and I never notice her her anymore I know she lives with her parents which led me to believe that she moved so where is she..." Twilight asked.

"She's been hanging out with her parents a lot more and she hasn't really been going to outside to much anymore. The reason I sent her away because...I can't handle what she's been doing. You will not believe the trouble I had to go through to get her off my hands. If I told you the whole story then you won't believe me." Rarity said. Twilight shrugged.

"Please tell me, I really want to know. I won't judge her and I won't blame you with what happened as it looks like it was out of your hands. You just couldn't deal with it." Twilight said, Rarity shook her head.

"First of all she doesn't look like Sweetie Belle anymore, she dyed her hair completely dark and she got several piercings and now wears dark clothing. I know she's sixteen and everything but she's been doing a lot of mature stuff even for a sixteen year old but she still retained her personality, I don't mind that she dyed her hair but the piercings just got me really angry and the dark clothing worries me as she went overboard it got to the point where I couldn't deal with the crap anymore so I told her to straighten herself out with her parents." Rarity ranted.

Twilight processed what Rarity said and came up with her own observation into the whole problem. Twilight wanted to look at Rarity's side of the story but also take a glimpse what Sweetie Belle was doing, she decided to speak as she worded herself carefully.

"She's...growing up Rarity, she will be an adult in a few years, she has a new appearance she wants to express herself because nobody understands her except for Scootaloo and Apple Bloom she's probably worrying that you don't love her now as she is just trying to....well express herself in a new way I guess. Does she still hang out with her friends?" Twilight asked. Rarity sighed.

"Yes she is its just that what she has been doing is making me a bit worried for her, what do you think I should do to try and fix her, what's wrong with her? I need your help." Rarity said, Twilight thought her response through as she didn't want to take sides with Sweetie Belle but she had to point this out.

"Okay Rarity just listen for a second, she's...growing up and she's trying to find the best way to express herself, this doesn't mean that you lost the sister you once knew, your just seeing a new developed side of her. Sweetie Belle is trying to find herself, she's not a child anymore Rarity she's almost a full grown adult and she wants to be understood. She wants acceptance." Twilight said, Rarity sat up in anger.

"Yeah well she can express herself with her parents place or even better she can move the hell out, I don't want to deal with this edgy teen stuff, if she wants to be an edgy gothic homosexual she can do it far away from me. I'm not dealing with this crap okay Twilight? If you understand her great! I don't need to!" Rarity ranted. Twilight felt that she went a bit far in trying to question Rarity as she had just made Rarity mad.

"You don't like her being a homosexual?" Twilight asked, Rarity rolled her eyes as she started to lose her temper.

"Look Twilight I don't care if she's a lesbian she can do whatever she wants as Equestria is a free land as everybody had equal rights as long as it is in the privacy of her own bedroom besides I have many gay friends who live in Ponyville and Canterlot but she shouldn't have sex in front of me if she's living here, I'll even come to her damn wedding if that makes her fucking happy but she shouldn't being going around like edgy brooding teen thinking about sex I'm not going to have it Twilight I'm not dealing with it!" Rarity ranted. Rarity stood up and went to the kitchen.

"I was just asking Rarity you don't need to get angry with me. You should be a bit nicer with her she's just trying to gain acceptance for her new appearance And your comment sounds like your not accepting of her." Twilight stated with a defensive voice as she was shocked Rarity would get mad at her for asking a simple question.

"Well if you accept her so much you take care of her, I am accepting of her by the way she can do all that she wants to do in her privacy just not in front of me I'm not going to have you argue with me about this Twilight, and if offended you in some way then tell me or go see one of your other friends or go see Spike and talk to them about how I upset you." Rarity said as she walked to the kitchen.

"I was just saying." Twilight told her, Twilight left Rarity's place and digested all of the information she had been given, she had no idea this was going on with Sweetie Belle, she just thought that they were having arguments but now since she saw the whole picture she knew that Sweetie Belle was just growing up as that was the way of life in Equestria.

Rarity sat inside Carousal Boutique and thought about the stuff that Twilight said and the stuff Sweetie Belle said to her when she kicked her out and she finally realized that Sweetie Belle was only trying to grow up and find her true self so she decided to apologize to them both.

A few hours later of thinking to herself inside her place Rarity went to Friendship castle and and apologized to Twilight for ranting and after a bit of discussion Rarity decided to continue to let Sweetie Belle visit her in Ponyville, she also got used to the whole new appearance of Sweetie Belle. She apologized to Sweetie Belle for being mean to her earlier which she accepted her apology.

Rarity just hoped that it was a faze and Twilight told her that usually it was. In the end Rarity still loved Sweetie Belle for who she was. Rarity told her sister that she accepted her even if she was gay and accepted her new look as she loved her for who she was as she didn't care if Sweetie Belle was gay or weird looking. She apologized to Twilight for complaining about her being gay as she didn't see anything wrong with someone being gay and Twilight accepted her apology.

Rarity and Sweetie Belle's relationship improved and Sweetie Belle ended up marrying a woman and Rarity didn't mind that as she thought that it was natural and she thought that Sweetie Belle was born gay. Rarity continued to love Sweetie Belle no matter what her appearance was or her sexual preference was. Sweetie Belle lived happily with her wife for the rest of her life and se had a great relationship with her sister for the rest of her life as well.
