"Ah, another beautiful day in Equestria." Celestia said as she raised the sun. "Hmm... What's taking Luna so long?"

Luna had been out scouting possible areas of interest but had not yet returned.

"I guess I'll have the guard-" Celestia didn't have time to finish her sentence when Luna entered the room.

"DEAR SISTER!" Luna shouted, "I-I found something in the Badlands and I found something! No time to chat! Hurry!"

Equestria Badlands

They reached the Badlands where Luna encountered the "Black Knight". To Celestia's surprise, he was real and he stood on two legs.

"My word! He looks lost, maybe we should help." Celestia said.

Luna was going to say something but was cut off by the creature in armor.

"Did you just talk!?"

The Human World, one day earlier.

Gabriel Richter, also known as Gabriel The Weak, had adorned his black armor and grabbed his sword.

It was the year 1010, and under the flag of Heinrich II der Heilige, Gabriel's band of knights set of on a highly secret quest to find a power that would make the Germanic Imperium live eternally.

On their quest they encountered heavy resistance against an army of unknown forces who were guarding the entrance to a secret tunnel.

During the battle, several of Richter's fellow knights were brutally killed, their armor ripped along with their own flesh, lances and spears pierced through their hearts, and their blood forming pools around their corpses.

Gabriel led the remaining knights into a charge for the tunnels. During the charge, all of the defenders had been killed by Gabriel's remaining forces, but at a price.

All of the remaining knights, except Gabriel, died during the charge.

"Mein Gott..." Gabriel said as he looked at the corpses before heading into the tunnels.

As he descended into the tunnels, he discovered that the defenders were trying to protect a stone arch.

The arch had strange metallic gems inside its holes. Without thinking he grabbed one of the gems to examine it.

"Mein Gott. This is incredible, I've never seen anything like this!" he said as he looked deep into the gem.

When he finally stopped looking at the gem, he realised that somehow he was in the middle of a desert. It was night.

He decided to sleep for a few minutes before trying to find his way back home.

In the morning, when he woke up, he noticed a strange blue light shine in the distance.

He put his armor on, and grabbed his sword. What he saw when he approached the light was amazing. It was a royal blue, winged and horned horse.

"Hello." He said as he walked close to the horse.

The horse let out what seemed to be a human woman's scream before disappearing in a cloud of blue smoke.

Gabriel walked around the desert until he heard the sound of trotting. He knew that it was the horse from earlier.

It was, but she was with another horse. This one was taller than the other and had white fur with a pale rainbow colored mane and tail.

He was about to try and greet them when the tall one spoke.

"My word! He looks lost, maybe we should help." She said.

He walked up and simply asked "Did you just talk?"

"Yes," the tall one said "and so can every other pony. Speaking of which, what kind of creature are you?"

Gabriel gave his backstory, and the backstory for a majority of the human race.

"And than I touched the gem than poof!" He said.

"Oh my! Well I am Princess Celestia, and this is my sister Princess Luna. We are the rulers of Equestria." Celestia explained that if Gabriel wanted to stay, then he'd have to prove he wouldn't purposely harm any of the ponies.

He proved he was harmless by giving them his weapons, and by removing his armor.

Luna was amazed by how handsome he looked. She completely ignored the fact that he was a different species then her.

After taking his armor and weapons, Celestia led him back to their castle where they explained about everything that was happening in Equestria.

"So your entire species are magical talking ponies? I must be in Heaven." He said as he scooted against the throne.

"Oh? Well grab a little piece of "heaven" and stay for awhile.. Ha ha." Celestia said as she motioned for her guards to bring them some food.

"Gabriel, I must say, for such a bizarre creature you're very attractive." Luna said as they ate their food.

"Why thank you! You're very attractive yourself." Gabriel replied.

Afterwards, Celestia told Luna to escort Gabriel to his new room. While walking towards it, Luna and Gabriel started to develop feelings towards each other. Both were embarrassed by these emotions because they had only just met, not to mention that they were of completely different species.

When they reached the room, Luna used her magic to open the door. The room was filled with everything he wanted. A large queen-sized bed with curtains. A window and even a table for him to use as a writing board for his report.

"This is wonderful!" He exclaimed as he jumped on the bed.

"Well, looks like you're happy. If you need anything my room is right across from yours, or you could drop by Celestia's room. Down the hall to the left." Luna said as ahe started to leave.

Gabriel, having realised what he had been through, stopped her to discuss what he wished he could do.

"I have one request... I would like to know if you and your sister could find a way to get me back home. Not that your world is bad or anything, I just want to make sure I have a way back." He asked

Luna didn't know how to answer him, but she did tell him that she'd discuss it with Celestia and go from there.

After she left, Gabriel started to ponder about the situation. Why was he here? Why were these talking pony princesses so nice to him? And would they remain nice to him if they knew that he was a coward?

Who knows, all that mattered for him now was a good slumber.
