Recurring nightmares drive Rainbow Dash insane; nightmares of being drugged, restrained, and mutilated by her best friend. But one day she snaps and kills her first, only to awaken in a cold sweat and realizes it was just another nightmare. She finally decides enough is enough and she has to get help before she ends up seriously hurting Pinkie Pie outside of the world of her dreams. Meanwhile, Applejack is worried sick about her little sister Applebloom having turned up missing, and her big brother doesnt seem to care. Little does she know he's the one responsible for her disappearance... Also, poor Angel Bunny is sick from a mysterious illness, and the only one who can help is all the way in the Everfree Forest.

A masked figure cloaked in darkness watches these events unfold, all a part of the dark and sinister master plan designed to destroy all of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony... from the inside out. Fortunately for the Mane Six, power couple Starlight and Tempest know a thing or two about darkness, and won't take this plan lying down.

Fuses storylines of the creepypastas Cupcakes, Rocket to Insanity, Sweet Apple Massacre, and references Cheerilee's Garden.

I began writing the rough draft of this story on fanfiction.net way back in 2013 as a giant "fuck you" to the creepypastas that pervaded the fandom. I recently found it and decided to update it and upload it here. It has been massively re-edited from its original incarnation.

Rated for, well, gore, consisting of nightmares of nonconsensual surgery and stabbing, an allusion to incest/murder/necro/foalcon/rape, mild action violence, and a disturbing scene involving attempted rape and murder.

While thinking about what to name the chapter and use for the cover art, I made the last-minute decision to use Metallica's ...And Justice For All as the theme, and changed the title from "Soul Harvest" to what it is now.
