Alright, I was able to patch it through, give it a swipe and you should be on your way!
__________
I awoke with a start, my breath coming out like fog over a swamp. The air was crispy cold, unusual as we are in the middle of the hottest seasons. My jumbled thoughts came back to me when I woke up a bit more. This was not the place I fell asleep.
I quickly was on my feet, though my head felt weird. Like someone took a sword to it, and swished it around inside. I can barely remember much about myself, I can remember what I learned, well... some of it. These gaps don't help much, and the Moon keeps popping up in my head.
I shake my head to quickly expel this mess and focus on where I am, Who I am won't matter if I'm dead now will it. I look around, and find myself staring at trees... lots of them. All of them beautifully shaded in greens and browns.
Congratulations
Through hard staring and observation you unlocked the Observe ability
It will give you information on any object you observe.
Affects vary by level
I jumped back in shock and fall over. Whatever that thing is... it just popped out of nowhere. If that thing was more dangerous I would be dead. I quickly notice the text on it. "What in tartarus is this." I whispered to myself, my ears constantly reacting to all the noises around me.
According to this... thing... I gained an ability to discover information on stuff by simply observing. I once again look at the trees, except this time I try to observe them. Nothing happens, every attempt at 'Observing' ends in failure.
"Please for the ascendant above, observe!" I almost shout in anger, but I kept it down. Don't want to wake the whole forest.
Tree
Made of a sturdy type of wood
I almost hollered for joy, even if this was small, this will certainly help in the long haul. Looking around once more I decided to quickly leave the area, and find a different more... safer place to set up camp for what I hope is a good night.
After ages of walking and observing plants and tracks, only food I found was poisonous, I found a nice spot on a small cliff, with a river at the bottom. If I ever need to get away quickly then the river is probably the better bet.
Not to bore you with much details I was able to gather enough sticks for a fire... but I couldn't find flint. Which as you guessed leaves me at my last option, rubbing two sticks together.
And so begins my journey to light a fire.
The memories certainly helped me make the fire, but did not make the process any faster. When I was able to start it, through what I hope is a great amount of luck, my body was starting to shiver. The fur was helping, but not by much the fire warmth quickly drew me into a trance. I watched the embers as they floated around and up, giving me a sense of... renewal that I can't remember feeling before now.
I continued with that thought, not remembering, going over what I can remember, it seems to be things like sleeping on the ground, being chased, and all these other things with nothing to really stick to them.
I cannot seem to remember faces, I feel that I had parents, a sister... but I can't remember them, it's like there were physically removed from me, but my spiritual self remembers them. I should probably focus on something other than my situation.
I quickly refill the fire that almost went out well I was pondering.
Congratulations
Through hard work you unlocked the skill camping.
Your camps will now restore HP and Stamina when you bask in the fire light.
I looked over the text after, once more, getting up from being jumped by this thing. "What is HP and Stamina?" Two bars suddenly appear in the top left of my vision one red with a plus sign next to it. The other one a dimmed yellow, and seems to be filling what I assume is 3/4ths of the space it should.
"Maybe I used some of it when I walked. No that's way to much for walking, probably was gathering the sticks, and lighting that fire. Then we add the walking. I was feeling sluggish by the end of it." Once I deducted how I lost it, I certainly felt weak. That wasn't much work I did, and I'm already 3/4ths the way to what I'm assuming is passing out. The bar was refilling like the camping skill said, but it was painfully slow. I will assume from that deduction that HP is the same rate as Stamina.
So its practically useless unless I can improve it. Going along with that, I decided that doing anything right now, well it's dark, is irresponsible. So I'm just gonna sleep here on this... comfy grass spot.
Still slept better than that one memory.
