The Perfect Day

I laid in my bed staring at the ceiling thinking about my wedding tomorrow, I sighed 'I'm not going to be able to sleep' I thought. Then I heard my bedroom door creak open and saw Cadence slide in through the crack, I smiled and whispered "Hey sweetie". She smiled at me and trotted over to my bed and snuggled close to me. I smiled and kissed her Cadence smiled at me and whispered "Tommorow is going to be perfect" I opened my mouth to agree but a green light glowed from her horn. I looked at her with a confused expression on my face, but her eyes weren't the same color and she was wearing an evil grin. "Cadence what are.." There was a flash of green light and I blacked out.

I couldn't move, all I could do was see and hear what was going on around me, I fought desperately to regain control of my body but it was a futile effort, I couldn't believe what was happening "Cadence" chuckled in a voice that clearly wasn't hers and said "I am queen Crysalis, your love for Cadence has made me so powerful that I will take over Canterlot and feed my swarm with your love". She grinned malevolently and whispered "You are mine Shining Armor". I felt a wave of dread wash over me as she said those words in a seductive tone. She kissed me fiercely, I couldin't control my body as I felt my hooves wrap around her and return the kiss with equal vigor. I tried to fight her control but I was paralyzed, with a mental sigh I gave in and desperately hoped that Twilight or Celestia would stop her. I could feel my emotions being drained as she kissed me I grew worried as my heart started beating faster and faster. She stopped her kiss and I saw her horn glow a brilliant green and her face scrunched in concentration as a bright green flash encompassed the room. I suddenly felt as if I was set on fire my whole body burned and felt my skin crawl. The pain faded after several minutes and I saw her grin and say "Come on Shining I have a wedding to crash" she grinned evilly and my body went back on autopilot and followed her out of my room.

There I stood standing next to Celestia not even in control of my own body like a zombie. No one not even Celestia knew about my predicament, I was extremely frustrated, I didn't even know who this "Chrysalis" was and I was about to MARRY her for Celestias' sake. Then I saw the fake Cadence and I grew angry at how she looked, she looked like she was about to win the the lottery as she walked down the isle with a huge grin on her face. She winked at me which only further fueled my rage, Celestia opened her mouth to speak when I heard a very familiar voice yell "STOOOOP". A wave of hope and relief flooded my veins as I heard my little sisters voice. I felt sorry for yelling at her, she was right all along. I heard Chrysalis ask why Twilight had to be so possessive of me along with various muttering and a sigh from princess Celestia. This was quickly replaced to gasps of shock as a second "Cadence" stepped into the banquet hall. Chrysalis looked surprised but not afraid as she ditched her disguise in a flash of green light and flew into the air. If I were in control of my body I would have gagged at the site, she looked like a giant bug she laughed maniacally and yelled "I am the queen of the changeling's and it is up to me to find food for my subjects. Equestria has more love then any place Ive ever encountered, my fellow changelings will be able to devour so much of it that we will gain more power then we have ever dreamed of!" Cadence yelled back at Chrysalis "They'll never get the chance, Shining armors protection spell will keep them from ever reaching us!" Chrysalis giggled and said "Oh I doubt that, Isn't that right dear?" I felt my head nod against my will I didn't know how much more of this I could take. Cadence looked at me with a sad and worried expression, she charged Chrysalis but she said "Ah ah, you don't want to go back into your cave now do you?" Cadence frowned and stepped back. "Ever since I took your place Ive been feeding off Shining Armors' love for you." "Every moment he grows weaker and so does his spell, even now changelings are chipping away at it" Chrysalis laughed "He may not be my husband but he is under my total control now." There were gasps of shock throughout the crowd in the banquet hall. "And im sorry to say, unable to perform his duties as Captain of the Royal Guard!" my mind screamed with frustration but I was unable to do anything but watch. "Not my Shining Armor!" Cadence pleaded, "Soon my changeling armies will break through first we take Canterlot, then all of Equestria!" Then we all heard a very regal Princess Celestia state "No, you wont." "You may have made it impossible for Shining Armor to perform his spell, but since you have so foolishly revealed your true self, I will protect my subjects...from you! Celestia shot into the air and began to shoot a brilliant golden beam at Chrysalis she countered it with a beam of green energy herself. Chrysalis' face was scrunched in concentration while the Princess's face was composed. As Chrysalis's beam began to overpower Celestia shock could be seen on everypony's faces, even Chrysalis's. When the green beam reached Celestia's horn she fell from the air and landed hard on the banquet hall floor. Jaws dropped as Celestia had been defeated by this unknown enemy, Twilight was the first to move. "Princess Celestia!!" she said as she rushed over to her.

Chrysalis sighed in relief and stated "Shining armors love for you is even stronger then I thought, consuming it has made me even more powerful then Celestia!" Princess Celestia stated in a desperate tone to the Elements of Harmony "You must gather the elements.. and use them to defeat the queen!" Twilight and her friends stood up and nodded fiercely and ditched their dresses, Rarity looked saddened that the dresses she made were being discarded but followed her friends anyway. The last thing I saw was them rushing out the door to the vault that contained the elements. I silently wished them the best of luck, a few moments later I heard my magic shield shatter as they broke through it. I shuddered as I felt the last of my energy drain, if I was in control of my body I would have collapsed. Cadence gave me a worried glance and after several minutes passed I began to wonder if Twilight and her friends managed to get to the vault. Cadence shouted "You wont get away with this! Twilight and her friends will- just then the door slammed open and revealed the mane six surrounded by changeling's. Chrysalis laughed "You were saying?" Chrysalis turned to the main six "You do realized the reception has been canceled don't you?" she laughed again and said "Its funny really, Twilight was suspicious of my behavior all along". "To bad the rest of you were to caught up in you wedding planning to realized those suspicions were correct!"

Applejack said "Sorry Twi.. we shoulda listened to you.." "Its not your fault, she fooled every-pony." Chrysalis responded in a gloating tone "Hmm I did didn't I?" Chrysalis began to sing

"This day has been just perfect... The kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small"

"Every-pony I'll soon control.. every stallion, mare and more.. who says a girl can really have it all?

She giggled triumphantly staring out toward canterlot watching the chaos unfold. While she was distracted Twilight whispered to Cadence. "Quick, go to him while you still have the chance" She freed Cadence with her magic and she walked over to me I began to hope she could help me. I wanted to badly to comfort her, she looked beaten, dirty and she had tears in her eyes. She hugged me and touched her horn to mine her horn began to glow and a heart came out of it. It floated over to my forehead and I absorbed it, Chrysalis's influence over me vanished and I nearly collapsed. She helped me stay standing and I whispered "I'm so sorry" she kissed me and said "Its ok.." Just then chrysalis slammed down next to us and said "Its over already" Twilight started to panic and said "Your spell! preform your spell!" Chrysalis laughed and said "What good would that do? my changelings are already inside Canterlot!" 'No!" I thought. A tiny glow came from my horn and I grunted and said "I.. can't.. I'm...not strong..enough." Cadence hugged me tightly and said "My love will give you strength" Chrysalis laughed and said "What a lovely but, absolutely ridicules sentiment"

Cadence touched her horn to mine and I felt her love for me wash through me like a tidal wave, with my strength regained I channeled my own energy into the spell. Chrysalis was now looking at us slightly concerned as our magic lifted us into the air and made our bodies glow a brilliant white. Just then a shock-wave of pure energy and love was sent flying towards Chrysalis, she covered her face with her hoof with a look of fear on her face. When it hit her she was sent flying away from Canterlot along with the rest of her swarm. Cadence and I slowly started descending and stopped glowing white, we beamed at each other and I nuzzled her snout ecstatic that we were together again. Twilight ran over to Princess Celestia who had just been freed from the cocoon she had been placed in by the changeling's, Celestia said "Don't worry about me Twilight, you have a real wedding to put together" Twilight grinned ear to ear and looked at me with that smile of hers I smiled back and winked at her.

The next day Cadence and I stood beside each other while Princess Celestia preformed the wedding ceremony once again. "Mares and gentle-colts we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of the real princess Cadence and Shining Armor, The strength of their commitment is clear, the power of their love undeniable, may we have the rings please?" Princess Celestia place the horn ring around Cadences horn and then my horn she announced "I now pronounce you mare and colt." The audience in the banquet hall erupted into cheers and the audience outside in Canterlot soon followed. Cadence and I waved to the audience for a few moments and then she kissed me sweetly the crowd exploded into cheers and high over head Rainbow dash, one of twilights friends performed a sonic rainboom. We ended the kiss and started heading to the carriage meant for us when I heard this buzzing noise in my head, It grew in intensity until I couldn't take it anymore but then it just stopped altogether. I was relieved for a moment until a wave of dread washed over me when I heard her voice... "You have not won Shining Armor... *you are mine** and im going to make you pay.."* Just then I stopped walking and clutched my chest, Cadence glanced back to me to see why I had stopped walking and her expression quickly changed to fear as she saw my face contorted in pain. "Shining whats wrong?!?" This got us a few glances but as I collapsed in the fiery pain of Chrysalis's revenge everyone else's attention soon turned to me. A few Canterlot guards and Doctors soon were helping me trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I couldn't speak all I could do was writhe in pain as they took me to a hospital. The pain spiked and doubled then doubled again and it felt like I had liquid magma inside my veins I couldn't even scream in pain. The pain became to much and I blacked out.

I awoke a day later in a hospital bed Cadence, Twilight and her friends were all gathered around me. Twilight and Cadence had teary eyes and pinkie pies mane was deflated. Once they saw me they asked me if I was okay and I said "Yeah.. I'm okay.. just really tired, they all frowned when I said this and Cadence handed me a mirror with her magic. With a little effort I managed to pick up the mirror and look at myself in it and my heart skipped a beat. My coat was grey my eyes were drooped and I looked sick and I asked "Wha.. what happened t-to me?" Cadence and Twilight both responded they didn't know what happened both of them crying now along with the rest of her friends. I sighed and said "I think I know what happened." They all looked at me with shocked expressions "What?" Twilight and Cadence both responded. I sighed and said "Last night I heard Chrysalis's voice in my head and she said that I would pay for denying her the love she needed to survive." They all had a look of disgust on their faces, a single tear rolled down my face and I said "Whatever she is doing... I have a feeling this is just the beginning..." Twilight and her friends left, leaving Cadence and I by ourselves. Cadence whispered "Get some rest my love" she leaned down and kissed me. "I love you too.. goodnight."

*This is a short chapter with slightly harsh language near the end*

Chrysalis sighed, she was running low on energy and the spell Shining armor and Cadence used to defeat her had rid her of all the love she had stolen from Shining armor. She was busy rallying her swarm and cutting off those no longer fit to serve her. Any of the changeling's cut from the swarm would die shortly after. "It seems I'm just going to have to steal some more.." Chrysalis grinned and projected her mind towards Canterlot in search of a certain pony. She felt Shining armors mental presence and was relieved to know that he was sleeping due to the exhaustion of her feeding from him. Chrysalis began to subtly enter his sleeping conscious intent on worsening his condition. She closed her eyes and entered his dream.

I awoke in the morning and looked around "Cadence are you there?" I called to her to see if she was outside the door but when no answer came I was confused. She wouldn't have left me without telling me first, I felt well enough to get up and I started walking towards the door I opened it and was shocked to see that the place looked abandoned "Is anypony there?" I called out. I grew worried and hoped that Cadence was alright. I started to search for her, for anyone but I only grew more confused as I trotted around the hospital looking for any sign of life. Maybe the changeling's had returned! I rushed towards the exit only to find that the door was locked. I tried to open it with magic but It was sealed with another pony's magic. "What? who would lock this door with magic?" I thought. At that moment I heard a recently familiar voice in my head. "Your not going anywhere soon.. Shining armor." I turned around to see the one and only Changeling queen Chrysalis. "What did you do? where is Cadence you monster!" I yelled and charged at her only to collapse in pain before I could even reach her. "Ah ah Shining, shouldn't you know better by now? You cant hurt me anymore" I ground my teeth together "What the hell did you do to me?!" Chrysalis grinned menacingly "You'll see... very soon you will know..." She vanished into thin air and the lights shattered above me. "Get back here you coward!" I bellowed and looked around in the dark for her. I couldn't see anything in the now pitch black hospital hallway. I felt myself get bucked into a wall, When I hit the ground I landed on shattered glass and I groaned in pain. I heard cracking glass as Chrysalis stepped on the glass with her hardened outer layer of skin. The sound was getting closer and I struggled to get up, Halfway up I was slammed back into the glass. I was bleeding everywhere, I looked at Chrysalis and all I could see was her terrible green eyes. I was starting to get dizzy when she stomped on my chest with one hoof and brought her face down to mine. Her eyes were now staring into my soul and I felt myself starting to lose consciousness when I saw her show her fangs. My eyes shot wide open when I realized what she was going to do but it was to late to resist. Chrysalis bit down on my neck and I felt a sense of paralysis go throughout my body. Losing control of my body I couldn't help but lie motionless and watch her. To my surprise she didn't suck the life out of me, she stopped after I became fully paralyzed and grinned at my helplessness. "Don't worry your not going to die, the venom is only going to stop you from bleeding out. The paralysis is only a side effect, After all why would I let someone as useful as you go to waste?" "You are currently dreaming but I am keeping you here until I make a few things very clear..." "Your condition is only going to get worse and It wont get better unless you do what I say, Speak with your mind I will hear you"

A grim realization washed over me and I thought "What do I have to do?" "Your becoming one of us.. you will need to feed like us, you will need to feed from Cade-" "NO!" I will never be like you! Id rather die than steal from Cadence like that! Id rather die than become some.. FUCKING PARASITE! Chrysalis glared at me and said "Oh.. then I will have to break you... All of a sudden the pain in my chest returned with more strength then ever it felt like my heart had turned into lead and I was standing in a raging inferno. I ground my teeth together as the pain steadily increased, It reached an unbearable level and continued at this level for several minutes. Unable to form coherent thought I just wished that the pain would end. Over all the pain I heard Chrysalis speak in my head "Had enough yet?" I clenched my teeth together and ignored her "Thought not..." she grinned manically "Your going to regret it!" The already unbearable pain nearly tripled and I felt that burning in the flames of Eternal damnation must be similar to this pain. My will broke instantly and I begged her to end the pain. "I'll..dowhatever...youwant!" "Good Im glad we see eye to eye." I let my head fall in shame and defeat. "Now.. wake up Shining Armor.. and obey me."

I awoke in a cold sweat and checked for any signs of injury, Instead I found that I looked like I was half dead. My eyes had black circles, you could see my ribs and I looked weak. I clenched my teeth in anger and I felt sickened at what I was going to have to do later. If what Chrysalis was saying really was true.. then I would have to feed off Cadence's love. The thought alone made me sick, I noticed two black teeth shaped marks on my neck and looked down. "Why is this happening to me.." I laid back down to weak to hold myself up. Just then I heard someone open the door, I assumed it was a nurse when she said "Alright Shining how are yo- *GASP* wha-what happened to you?!?" She ran out the door and a doctor and two other nurses entered and the doctors eyes widened when he saw my condition "How is it possible?? its only been a few hours! take him the the ECU NOW!" The doctor used his magic to push my hospital bed outside. The sudden motion made me dizzy and I almost lost consciousness. Everyone stared as I was taken to the 'emergency care unit' when I arrived they hooked me up to all the machines and I started to hear that familiar beeping noise that was my heart rate. They injected me with a white substance and I blacked out in seconds.

When I awoke I was alone, the silence was short lived as the door opened and Cadence walked in. My heart started to pick up and the annoying heart monitor had picked up speed as well. Cadence was teary eyed and she rushed over to me. "Why is this happening to you." She sniffed, I felt something I could almost taste it in the air. I didn't know what it was until Cadence hugged me gently so she wouldn't hurt me. Just then I knew what was happening. The magical feeling that I was absorbing was love. I felt sick when I realized this, But also relieved as my soreness quickly began to abate. It felt like her love was reviving me. Just then a voice in my head spoke to me "Feed off of her love.. you are going to need more if you wish to survive..." Chrysalis projected an image of what she wanted me to do, I tensed and bit the inside of my lip "Do it or you will feel more pain." I knew that I had been beaten by Chrysalis... I was broken. "Cadence..." she looked into my eyes and I caressed her face with my hoof. "Shining..." she leaned down and kissed me passionately. I felt a wave of energy and euphoria wash through me. We stayed like this for a minute and I ended the kiss. Cadence frowned "I hope your going to be okay Shining..." Don't worry, I have a good feeling things are going to turn around now. She grinned slightly "I hope so" What the hell did I just say?? *I'm TURNING INTO A CHANGELING! THINGS ARE NOT GOING TO GET BETTER!*** Cadence hugged me again and I felt horrible when I felt her energy seeping into me again. I tried to remember how I felt about Cadence before all of this happened but I couldn't. My eyes brimmed with tears and spilled over when I knew I had lost her. "Whats wrong Shining? are you in pain?" she asked me but I shook my head. "Cadence... There is something I have to tell you." Chrysalis said ""No You Don't" I ignored her and asked her to come closer. She rested her head beside mine and asked in a worried tone "What is it Shining?" "That spell that Chrysalis put on me.. It had side effects" Cadence looked into my eyes with a terrified expression. "Wha-what are you saying" "Cadence... I'm turning into a changeling..."

Cadence froze and a deafening silence ensued, She looked into my eyes with shock and disbelief. I could only mutter two words before my heart was set aflame by Chrysalis "I'm sorry..." I clutched my chest in pain and Cadence bit her lip. She stared into my eyes as several doctor ponies rushed in to sedate me. I was afraid that Cadence would leave, I stared into her eyes pleading for her to stay with me. I began losing consciousness and the pain began to abate. The last thing I saw was Cadence staring at the ground.

When I awoke Cadence looked like she had recovered and asked me "Are you awake?"

I took a deep breath "Yes.. I understand if you don't want to be with me anymore.."

Cadence frowned and hugged my tightly, I was surprised that she still accepted me "No matter what happens to you I'll always be there for you Shining." She had tears in her eyes and my eyes were beginning to brew over as well. "You have no idea how much your acceptance means to me Cadence..." I felt myself consuming her love once again. She smiled "You look a lot better" I sighed "The only reason I'm still alive is because of you Cadence... ever since you arrived I could feel your love radiating off of you..." I didn't mention the part where I couldn't remember what loving someone else felt like. "Does Twilight and Celestia know?.. I'm not ready to face them yet." Cadence shook her head "No they don't know yet, but I think we should tell them." "I will but I want to tell Twilight first.. I'm a little nervous as to what Celestia would do. Her city was just sacked by changeling's" "Your right we should tell Twilight first and hopefully get her support in this" "Can you write her a letter and tell her to come to canterlot? I want to speak to her in person." Cadence nodded "I'll be back soon" she left me alone and I stood there looking at the ceiling. I was dieing to get up and move around but If I disconnected myself from the machines doctors would come rushing in. I tried to make myself look slightly presentable now that I was getting better. I noticed my coat had gotten noticeably darker in the past few minutes. It was now a solid gray "Your starting to change" I heard Chrysalis's voice inside my head and thought "Yeah? whats it to ya." A spike of pain briefly lashed through my chest. "You will speak to your queen with respect from now on." I sighed "Yes..Chrysalis." I would not call her my queen, Celestia was my ruler. I felt like I had enough energy to run a marathon "I guess I'm going to learn how to deal with feeding off of love." I grew bored of waiting so I wanted to see if I had any new powers. I willed my form to change into one of the doctor ponies that had came in when I confessed to Cadence. Nothing happened but I noticed a strange feeling when I focused on him. I felt like I had reached out with my consciousness as if it was tangible. "Thats because it is, You are experiencing one of the first things young changeling's acquire. The power to contact other members of the swarm. I immediately pulled away from this new feeling. If it had to do with more changeling's I wanted nothing to do with it.

Half an hour later Cadence returned and told me "Twilight is on her way, she was curious as to why she had to return to canterlot so soon. I informed her that you weren't well and that you would explain in when she arrived." "Good that will give me some time to think. In the meantime I feel like I'm ready to bounce off the walls. Can you get me out of here?." I said with a grin. She smiled "I'll see what I can do." Before she left she asked me "Did your coat get darker?" I sighed and nodded "Fraid so." she looked a little worried "We need to tell Twilight and Celestia soon." She left before I could respond and returned with another Doctor pony. The doctor was once again shocked to see me in my condition "I don't understand how this is possible! Even with magic he couldn't have healed so fast!" I grinned at the doctor "Does this mean I'm free to go?" he looked at me nervously and coughed "I wouldn't recommend it but-" I cut him off "Okay thanks" I pulled out all the machines from their plugs with magic and winced slightly when I pulled out the IV. I jumped out of the hospital bed and started galloping away before they could stop me. I dodged nurses doctors and some security guards and rushed out the door, I checked to see if Cadence was following me but I heard a zap in front of me. Cadence had teleported in front of me, she had a grin on her face we ran and once we lost them I laughed for the first time in days. I asked Cadence "Where is Twilight meeting us?" "I told her to meet us at our room Lets head there, she will likely be there early." Halfway there a patrol of royal guard approached us and spoke to me "Captain, Princess Celestia requires your presence Immediately, we were ordered to escort you there. I gave Cadence a nervous glance and we followed them to the royal palace. I was nearly shaking by the time we arrived at the palace. We entered and followed them to the throne room, I had taken this route one hundred times and knew everything about the palace layout. We approached the the throne room and I gave Cadence another nervous glance and she looked slightly nervous as well. I had no idea what to say to the Princess, I hadn't even figured out what I would tell Twilight yet!

The guards left us alone with a very regal Princess Celestia. Her mane was blowing in the solar winds as she looked up to us "Shining Armor, I am glad you are well." Celestia looked at me again and her eyes narrowed a bit. "Mind telling me how your coat got darker?" I chewed on my lip "Uh.. thats a long story.. so I might as well get started... You know what happened after the wedding so ill start from there. I was in pretty rough shape after that night and when I fell asleep.. Chrysalis entered my dreams and stole my from my emotions even more.. when I awoke I was nearly dead and If she hadn't told me how to save myself I wouldn't be here now." Celestia raised an eyebrow and asked. "What did she tell you?" I sighed and looked at Cadence then back at Celestia. The spell she used to corrupt me during the wedding had a side effect... Its turning me into a... one of those parasites..." Celestia's mask of composure broke when I said this her eyes widened and she looked at Cadence and to me. She sighed "I was afraid of this... As of now Shining you are relieved of your command as captain of the royal guard and not permitted to see Cadence until further notice.

WHAT!?! I bellowed when she said this, I could handle losing my position of command but when she told me that I couldn't see Cadence I lost it. Cadence tried to reason with Celestia but she was teleported out of the room in a golden flash. I ground my teeth together. I couldn't believe she would betray me like this. "What did I ever do to deserve this! Ive never done any harm to anyone! Ive always been loyal to your cause *AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!?* The royal guards stationed outside rushed in. "Take him to his quarters and confine him there." With confused faces the guards I once led walked over to me and began to drag me out of the throne room. I never stopped looking at Celestia until the throne room doors slammed shut once again. The trip to my room was a daze, I was to blind with fury to notice anything. When they stopped dragging me I assumed we had made it and they walked out and locked me inside. Just then I felt a tidal wave of fury wash over me, I roared with fury and bucked the door with all my strength. My hooves blasted two holes in the door and I trotted over to a mirror. My coat had once again grown darker, It now looked to be a mix of grey and black I closed my eyes. I shouted in my mind with all the mental strength I could muster THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT YOU SON OF A BITCH! I quickly got a reply. She laughed and said "Yes thats it embrace your anger. Celestia betrayed you, Let it consume you." I shook my head and I thought "I never did anything to her, or her subjects. I don't deserve this!" I absorbed my own emotions and my anger only grew. I was murderessly enraged at Celestia. "Take your revenge" My head shot up and I looked back into the mirror. My eyes had turned a menacing green, I grinned and thought "You'll pay for this Celestia." I turned to the door Intent on exacting my revenge.

Chrysalis spoke to me once again "I will lend you all the power I can spare, use it to your advantage." I felt a wave of pure energy wash over me, I felt like I could take on the world. I charged towards the locked door and rammed straight through it. The guards stationed outside both turned to me shock clear on both of their faces.

"Shining how did you just-" He stopped when he noticed my now dark green eyes with menacing slits for irises, combined with my mad grin. They both stepped back and gripped their swords at their sides. The higher ranked guard spoke "Where is Shining armor and what did you do to him!" I laughed maniacally and stated.

"I Am Shining Armor." I charged at them before they could recover from my statement sent them both flying with a magical push. Their heads smashed into a wall and knocked them both unconscious. I started galloping towards the throne room dodging guards that had been informed I was to be confined to my room. The ones I couldn't dodge I rammed through them. I was getting closer to the throne room when I heard the horn that ordered all guards to go on high alert. A golden shield shot up around Canterlot. "Celestia is trying to keep me trapped here. I'm going to need a way out when I'm through here." I thought.

"When the time comes I will grant you enough power to blast a hole through the shield. Be ready she knows you are coming." I gave a mental nod and turned to the throne room doors. The events of the past half hour played through my head, Her betrayal, removing me of my command and forbidding me from seeing Cadence. I violently pushed open the doors to the throne room and I saw her sitting there eyes narrowed at me. My anger began to overflow and the pressure grew like a volcano about to erupt. I clenched my teeth staring violently at Celestia, my former ruler. At that moment I embraced the change, A green circle began to form around me. Green flame started to rise up my hooves and up to my chest, spreading throughout my body. The green fire burned and made me feel more powerful then ever before, I never stopped glaring at Celestia. Once the flame reached my head it exploded in pain and made me wince, a blinding green flash radiated from my body and once I regained my sight I had transformed.

My hooves were now pitch black and there were holes in them. My horn had bent and looked similar to Chrysalis's horn. I had see through bug like wings as well. I had never felt so powerful in my entire life. I had grown taller and was now equal to Celestia in height. Celestia shook her head in disgust. "This is why I had you separated from Cadence, your nothing but a monster now."

I barred my teeth at her and growled menacingly, I noticed I had fangs now as well. "My life here is over, I have nothing left to lose. I don't deserve Cadence anymore." I shot a beam of green energy at Celestia. She deflected it with a shield and bounced it back to me. I barely dodged my own attack and charged at her with lightning speed. Celestia launched herself in the air but I jumped up and tackled her before she could retaliate. We hit the ground hard Celestia taking the brunt of the fall. I rose one of my hooves and brought it down on her face. I struck her again and I felt her wing snap under my hoof. I heard a galloping noise and I looked to where it was coming from just in time to see a dark blue blur smash into my side knocking the wind out of me. Luckily my skin had formed into an outer shell and could take blows more easily. I got to my feet and noticed the eyes of a furious Princess Luna. However I was focused on who was behind her.

"Shining armor??..." Twilight asked if it was truly me in this new form.

"Shining armor.. Is no more." I stated to my former little sister. She had tears in her eyes, shaking her head in disbelief. Luna shouted at me in the royal canterlot voice

"YOU WILL PAY FOR HARMING OUR SISTER! She charged at me but I jumped in the air and landed on her back. She bucked me off of her and I landed on the ground. She was a better fighter then her sister. Before I could regain my footing I watched as Luna's horn glowed and a dark blue aura encompassed her legs and she bucked me again with much greater strength I hissed in pain as I flew into a wall. The wall cracked and I landed heavily on the ground. I spit out green blood which could only mean I was bleeding internally. I was breathing heavily when I saw Luna standing over me. Her horn glowed once again and her forehooves began to glow dark blue. She raised them and prepared to strike me I stared into her eyes with a defiant look in my eyes. Suddenly I heard Twilight yell.

WAIT!! Please Stop! Luna looked over to Twilight for a brief half a second and I took this to my advantage. I charged my horn and shot Luna off of me with a beam of energy. I got to my hooves and started limping towards Twilight

"Is that really you Shining?.." I stared into her eyes and willed my eyes to flash to their old color for a moment and whispered.

"Thank you" I turned away from her and ran towards a wall. I charged my horn and shot a small hole through the wall. I limped through it and spread my wings. I didn't know how to fly but in this case it was learn fast or die trying. I could see Hundreds of guards heading my way and I didn't have the strength to fight them all. I buzzed my wings and hovered for a moment they were almost upon me when I began to fly away from the earth pony guards. The pegasi royal guards were converging on my position and I heard Chrysalis speak in my head

"I'm going to grant you the power to escape. Use it wisely"

I felt my reserves of magic replenish and I began to shoot the pegasi with small beams of energy. Aiming for their wings I wanted as much out of the sky for when the force field needed to be dealt with. The pegasi began to overwhelm me and I tucked my wings at my sides and dove for the shield "I need to get out of here now" I focused most of my remaining energy into a beam and shot it towards the shield. I barely made a hole big enough for me to fit through and I squeezed through I started descending, I no longer had the energy to fly. I hit the ground hard and coughed up green blood. I couldn't move.

The royal guards followed me through the shield since they were permitted to go through it unscathed. They began to surround me and I started to lose hope. Then I heard her once again.

"Congratulations, you've earned a right to live in my swarm. Keep showing promise and I will reward you handsomely"

Just then there was a green flash and Chrysalis appeared next to me. I felt relief wash over me, She stood over me protectively. Her horn lit up and she teleported me with her into a cave.

*The way Chrysalis and *Shining armor* communicate may be confusing, When the words are Italicized they are talking to each other with their minds.

I looked up at Chrysalis as she inspected my injuries. Changeling's could see in the dark so there was no need for light.

"Your bleeding internally... I'm going to have to heal it or your not going to make it." I nodded grimly

"This isn't going to feel pleasant" she warned me, I nodded again prepared for the ordeal.

Chrysalis pointed her horn towards my stomach and they both began to glow. I felt a major burn inside of me and I coughed up the remaining blood in my stomach. The pain lasted for a few more moments then dissipated. I took a deep breath,

"Thanks for getting me out of there, without you I would have been screwed." We both grinned and she nuzzled me with her snout. I froze for a moment, "Is she still attracted to me? wait-" Chrysalis's grin grew in intensity and spoke into my mind.

"You are one of us now, and to be honest you are quite handsome by changeling standards, As for being attracted to you?.." Chrysalis pondered for a moment, I noticed I could only read her thoughts when she aloud me to. "Well..Yes, yes I am"

My face stayed expressionless as I remembered Cadence and what Chrysalis had done to me, I looked into her eyes for a long moment. Slowly a grin appeared on my face, I stood up my head level with Chrysalis and thought. "Well then, Is it possible for two changeling's to survive off each other?" Chrysalis leaned in closer.

"Normally they can't. But two evolved changeling's like us can... and were the only ones that exist" Both of us closed our eyes as we inhaled each others scent. Chrysalis smelled delicious, ever since I became a changeling each of my senses had advanced. Chrysalis opened her eyes I noticed they seemed to be excited and full of lust

"So... Shining armor-" I opened my eyes and cut her off "Shining Armor is no longer an appropriate name for me... Ive been considering another name. How does... Metamorphosis sound?"

"It sounds powerful." She looked down with a desperate look in her eyes. I began to caress her face with my hoof. We stared into each others eyes for a second and It was enough for both of us.

I leaned in and kissed her passionately, we embraced each other with our minds and our bodies. I wrapped my hooves around her and gently pulled her to the cave floor. I tentatively prodded her mouth with my tongue and she granted me access. Our tongues wrapped around each other. We touched horns and they began to glow and I felt something rise up inside of me. It reached my stomach and continued to rise. But before I could act on it however Chrysalis grinned and stopped me

"No, not yet. Now is not the place, nor the time." I gave her a confused look. "What was that?

She kissed me and giggled I'll show you once we make it back to *our** hive* I smiled and thought

I could get used to this. We both grinned but stopped when we heard horns echoing from canterlot. "They're going to be searching for us.

"We cant stay here anymore" Chrysalis stated, We both turned to leave the cave. "They will be searching for us by air. There is to many to hide from so we will need to out fly them, follow me I'll take you to your new home."

Chrysalis took off into the air, and began to fly south. I wasn't used to my wings yet so it took a lot of effort just to get off the ground. I just managed to keep pace with my new love. We would here horns from the pegasi searching for us every few minutes. They seemed to be getting closer

"They're catching up!"

"Keep flying I have a trap set for them" Chrysalis grinned. We flew for a few more minutes and we heard the horn blare again. "They cant be more then a half mile away from us now." I stated and Chrysalis replied "Don't worry my love. I have called reinforcements." She began to descend and I followed her. We landed and I could see changeling's hiding in the shadows. Many of them gave me surprised looks but quickly returned their attention to the approaching pegasi. What looked to be about sixty lunar guards came into sight. A horn sounded once again and they split, They were going to surround us. Chrysalis and I prepared for the inevitable fight, the changeling's prepared to lunge from their hiding spots when the time came.

When the lunar guards landed I noticed they were heavily armed. Each of them were gripping a spear and they had swords at their sides. They formed a circle around us oblivious to the fact that we weren't alone. I noticed they had an elite lunar guard leading them. He gave me a disgusted look and spat on the ground in front of me. I hissed at him baring my fangs menacingly. The lunar guard wasn't phased.

"By the will of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, you are under arrest. If you resist we will use deadly force." My horn began to give off a menacing green glow, Chrysalis joined me and we covered each others backs. "You'll never take us alive." we both stated completely synchronized. The lunar guards were wary of our magic but they had determined looks in their eyes. "Attack now my little ones.

All of a sudden the changeling's jumped onto the lunar guards causing mass confusion among their ranks. We took advantage of the distraction and began blasting the lunar guards with beams of raw green energy. The elite lunar guard roared a command to his squad. "DEFEND YOURSELVES!" he bucked a changeling before it could hop onto his back and threw his spear through one of the changeling's on a guards back. He drew his sword and charged at me, I blasted him with a powerful beam but was surprised when he wasn't harmed from the attack. He sliced my chest and I hissed in pain. I shot myself into the air before further damage could be done. It wasn't deep thanks to my thick hide but it still hurt. "The Elite guard has some kind of ward against magical attack. he can only be harmed physically. The changeling's had taken the guards by complete surprise and their numbers were dwindling fast. I noticed about twenty Lunar guards were bleeding out with holes bitten through there necks. Others were unable to move, a layer of green slime keeping them stuck to the ground. The remaining lunar guards formed a circle of defense, but it was quickly dispersed when changeling's started dive bombing them. The rest of the guards where quickly overwhelmed and pinned to the ground. The elite guard however managed to kill at least six of them before he was simply overwhelmed. "Get off me you savages!"

I tried giving a command to the changeling's that had pinned him "I want to deal with this one myself. Move aside." the changeling's stared at me for a few moments and turned to their queen for confirmation. Chrysalis glared at the changeling's "You will obey his commands, just as if they were mine from now on. Understand?" The changeling's nervously nodded afraid of their queens wrath. They stepped aside and I looked down at the helpless lunar guard. He looked into my eyes with defiance, he spit in my face and I turned away for a second. I wiped it off my face turned to him and bashed my hoof into his face. Chrysalis spoke to me. "Consume him, devour his emotions." I smiled Manically at the lunar guard. I pushed his face into the dirt with my hoof. "I hope there is a special place in hell waiting for you Shining armor." I bit into his neck and began absorbing his emotions. I felt Pain, Sadness, Love, Fear, and as he began to run dry I felt acceptance. His heart beat slowed, sputtered a few times and then stopped altogether. I rose from my first kill and I felt his energy coursing threw my veins. It felt good to kill him.

"You liked it, didn't you? Chrysalis asked me I grinned at her and nodded my head. Let one of them go... I want him relay a message. I turned to the one I was going to spare. After seeing what I did to his leader he cringed in fear. He was rank with it, "I'm not going to kill you." He opened his eyes and gave me a confused but slightly hopeful look. "Wha- what are you g-going to do to me?" I sighed and rolled my eyes at him. "I'm going to let you go, but you are going to relay a message to the princess's. Tell them not to follow me, and that I now go by the name, Metamorphosis." I removed his restraints and he slowly stood up relief washing through him. He bowed to me respectfully and said "I will relay the message. Thank you for sparing my life."

He began to fly back towards canterlot. "I doubt that those foolish princess's will stop following me. But Shining armor is lost forever. I stated to Chrysalis. She grinned at me and we nuzzled each other. I kissed her and she reciprocated my love. A few moments later we turned to the remaining guards. Chrysalis walked up to a stronger looking guard and bit into his neck. I could smell the guards fear in the air. Once Chrysalis was finished with him she gave a command to the changeling's. "Finish them" The changeling's looked like they had been waiting for this moment and jumped on the guards. The changeling's bit the guards all over the place. It was a gruesome sight, The guards we screaming in pain as they were devoured by the changeling's and I couldn't help but smile at their pathetic cries. The screams died down and Chrysalis dismissed the changeling's.

"That should be the only interruption we receive on our way back to the hive. Chrysalis stated. "We should be there by mid day." The sun was just beginning to rise. Chrysalis and I took off, I was getting better at flying but it still hurt my wings to fly long distances. We flew for several hours, I was able to keep flying by pouring energy into my wings to keep them from getting to exhausted. I began to notice a shimmering expanse ahead of us. "What is that?" I asked Chrysalis

I awoke wrapped in my mates hooves. I watched Chrysalis sleep for a few minutes unwilling to interrupt her rest. Eventually she woke up and smiled at me, I kissed her passionately and she spoke "How about I show you around the hive. Now that we are together we won't have to focus on getting love from foreign nations." She smiled and I nuzzled her with my snout. "Sounds good." We stood up and began walking towards the door.

*Meanwhile*

"You called for me Princess." Princess Celestia nodded "I have a very important mission for you Thunder Buck. I chose you for your strength and will to get the job done. However, You will not be able to succeed without my help. I want you to fly to the southern deserts and assassinate Metamorphosis. I will grant you the power to defeat him and Chrysalis, This is your last chance to leave." Thunder Buck bravely stayed to complete the mission. "Good, now hold still."

Celestia's horn began to glow brightly, Her eyes glowed white and Thunder Buck began to grow worried at how much power Celestia looked like she was channeling for the spell. His eyes snapped wide open when Celestia mane and tail caught fire and she shot a glowing white beam at Thunder Buck.

Thunder Buck couldn't handle the intense change as his wings grew, his muscles grew much more defined, even his eyesight improved. Thunder Buck was on the verge of unconsciousness when the spell finally ended. He was breathing heavily and Celestia placed a ward against magic on him and stated "If you are going to be able to get close to him you will need to look like them. Celestia's horn glowed and Thunder Buck was disguised as a changeling. This is a top secret mission so you will need to sneak out of Canterlot."

Thunder Buck stood up and shook his head. He nodded in confirmation " One more thing," Celestia handed him a dagger coated in manticore poison. "Use this to kill that traitor, my blessing is with you Thunder."

When Thunder left Princess Celestia trotted outside of her throne room. Canterlot was afire with activity, The barracks were at full capacity and there hundreds of new royal guards training in the courtyards. Celestia was preparing for the biggest war Equestria has ever seen. Thousands of royal guards were stationed in Canterlot and the surrounding area. Celestia was massing and army to attack the swarm, Celestia thought to herself. "As long as there are changeling's in the world we can never live in peace... They must be purged off the face of Equestria. I will not stop until every last one of them... is dead

*Back at the Hive*

I followed Chrysalis as she explained to me the roles of each changeling. There were Warriors, scouts, Elites, Brood mothers and workers. Warriors and scouts explained themselves while elites guarded the leaders of the hive. Workers repaired Cave ins and expanded the tunnels. Brood mothers laid eggs, Pretty simple.

There was always two elite changeling's following us as Chrysalis explained the functions of the hive to me. One of the elites stopped Chrysalis for a moment, Chrysalis nodded at him and spoke to me "The changeling's are hungry. We need to make our way to the center of the hive." I gave her a confused look but followed her anyway. "We can radiate the love we made last night to the swarm, It will be enough to prevent them from starving." Comprehension washed over me and I mentally nodded to her. When we arrived Chrysalis turned to me with a loving grin, I returned the gesture and kissed her passionately, Our horns began to glow brighter and brighter when a green shock wave erupted from us. I felt drained when we finished and so did Chrysalis. The elite changeling grinned and nodded its head at us. They returned to their duty of protecting us as we made our way back to our chambers.

A few minutes later we arrived at our chambers and the guards left us alone. Chrysalis and I sighed in relief, I nuzzled her with my snout and she smiled and kissed me, The door busted open and I turned to see a massive Pegasi elite guard standing over two changeling's with broken necks

*Thunder Pov*

I stalked the traitor in his own hive. Metamorphosis was walking with Chrysalis to an unknown destination. I followed them and they came upon a large double door chamber. They walked in and the guards stayed on the outside. I walked over to them, The two changeling's gave me accusing stares which quickly ended when I quickly broke one of their necks and muffled the cry of the other swiftly breaking his neck as well. I turned to the door and took a deep breath. The moment of truth had come. I ditched my disguise and busted the door open with my magically enhanced strength and I saw them kissing each other, "Perfect" I thought, they turned to me but I had caught them off guard

By the time Metamorphosis saw the dagger flying towards his chest it was to late.

I saw the dagger fly towards my chest but before I could dodge it the dagger hit me in the chest. It pierced right through my thick hide and I collapsed in pain "NO!" Chrysalis bellowed and charged at the Pegasi. Chrysalis was bucked and to my amazement and dread she was sent flying into the wall, she got to her feet and shot the pegasi with a beam of green energy. The pegasi didn't even flinch and charged straight at her once again. I panicked at the thought that Chrysalis could be hurt, I was stabbed in the chest and I was worried about Chrysalis.

Chrysalis was tackled by the pegasi and was being struck repeatedly, Her eyes glowed solid green and she stabbed him with her horn, The pegasi roared in pain and tried to hit Chrysalis again, She dodged his attack and teleported behind him. The pegasi tried to turn around but Chrysalis's fangs quickly bit into his neck and ripped through his jugular. He collapsed and started twitching, he bled out in seconds. Chrysalis rushed over to me and examined the dagger "Oh no..."

I felt a searing pain begin to spread through the my body where the knife had struck me "The dagger was poisoned!" Chrysalis panicked and bit her lip, She pulled out the dagger and I hissed in pain. "There is only one way I can save you my love..." When I saw the desperate look in her eyes I knew what she was going to do. "NO! DON'T!" I couldn't stop her, She bit into my chest and started to suck out the poison. I tried to stop her but I couldn't move my legs. Once half of the fiery sensation had been sucked out Chrysalis fell over and started writhing in pain. I knew then that she wasn't going to get rid of it all, Just enough that I wouldn't die,

I grabbed her hoof and she squeezed it tightly, We laid together the poison burning inside our veins for what felt like days. I was bleeding profusely from the stab wound now and if I didn't stop the bleeding soon I was going to bleed out. My heart began to beat faster to compensate for loss of blood and I was breathing heavily. I could hear several elite changeling's rushing to our aid. I was starting to get dizzy and my sight was blurring. A changeling bit my stab wound and sealed it shut. The pain became to much and I started to black out.

When I awoke I had a splitting headache and I felt weak. My whole body was numb and I couldn't move. I noticed Chrysalis standing over me with a terrified expression, She was whispering to herself, she must still think I'm unconscious I listened to her talk over me, "How could I have let this happen to him..." She frowned and I could see tears brewing in her eyes. "You made my life perfect Metamorphosis..." The tears were streaming down her face now, "Please don't leave us..." she hugged me tightly and the next thing she said was barely a whisper "Please don't leave me..." I could feel her love radiating from her, her love was sincere. I hugged her back, she gasped and looked into my eyes. I grinned at her.

She hugged me even tighter "Oh thank god your alright!" She kissed me passionately and we stayed that way for several minutes. I felt some of my energy had returned and I carefully got to my hooves. I almost collapsed but Chrysalis was there to help me stand. I nuzzled her and started limping towards the exit. A revelation dawned upon me, "Celestia sent that son of a bitch to kill me."

Chrysalis hissed in fury "She will pay for almost taking you away from me forever. I nodded and hugged her. "I can't live without you anymore Chrysalis... You are the most important thing in my life." she nuzzled me

"I feel the same way for you Metamorphosis." I smiled at her "Come on, we have an army to assemble

*Meanwhile.*

"MOVE OUT!" An elite royal guard bellowed, the Equestrian army was 30,000 strong. The army began marching south to the deserts. There they planned to meet the changeling's in battle. Celestia and Luna where flying with them to defeat the changeling's once and for all.

*The changeling army*

Ever since I joined the hive our numbers have been increasing dramatically. We marched towards Canterlot with one hundred thousand changeling's. We heavily outnumbered the Equestrian army. We marched for hours when we spotted their army. They were at least eight miles away now. Our armies slowly approached each other. When there was a mile in between our armies we heard the Princess's address us in the royal Canterlot voice. "You have one last chance to surrender, Chrysalis and Metamorphosis. Resist and we will have no choice but to destroy you.

I charged my horn and shot a beam of energy across the sky, "Prepare to meet you doom." All of sudden the moon rose up from the horizon and slowly blotted out the sun. The battle field grew dark and I saw the princess's flying in circles going faster and faster. They began to glow and flew so fast they became a blur. Thats when all hell broke lose.

Hundreds of white beams began showering upon us, each one knocking a changeling dead. "Stop them before its to late!" Thousands of changeling's flew into the sky. They began shooting the princess's with beams of energy, The beams hit but seemed to have no effect on the two. "Dammit! There tearing us to shreds!, I addressed the swarm Attack the army, we will deal with the princess's." Chrysalis and I looked at each other with determination in our eyes. We locked against each other in mid flight and began to corkscrew towards the princess's, horns glowing.

When we hit we disrupted their spell. Chrysalis engaged Celestia and I attacked Luna. The princess's were opponents to be feared and fought bitterly against us. I shot Luna with a beam of energy but she dodged it with an aerial maneuver. We were fighting in our element and the princess's were at a disadvantage. Chrysalis managed to buck Celestia but Celestia retaliated with a golden beam, It struck Chrysalis in the side and she fell a few hundred feet before she recovered.

Both princess's attention was on me now, they shot beams of energy and I put up a shield to deflect the attack. The shield shattered and I lost control of my wings, I started falling and I couldn't regain my flight when Chrysalis caught me and we retreated. We had bought our army precious time and our army was making quick work of the Equestrian army. At the rate our army was killing Their army couldn't hold out much longer. The princess's incinerated hundreds of changeling's with massive beams of energy. Our army was simply to vast and the princess's had no choice but to retreat. "Fall back!" both of them shouted they sent a shock wave that sent the changeling's flying and bought their army time to escape.

"Hunt them down and slay them all" Chrysalis and I commanded. The changeling's gave chase to the fleeing Equestrian army. The swarm had won the battle and only Canterlot and the princess's stood before us and total victory. I was to caught up in our triumph to notice the magical blue lance coming straight for me. "META LOOK OUT!" I noticed it and did a corkscrew to dodge the brunt of the attack. It struck me in the front of my hooves and both of them made a sickening crack.

I hissed in pain and flew to the ground. Chrysalis followed me with a look of concern on her face. I collapsed to the ground when I landed and Chrysalis quickly tended to my injury. Once she healed my legs she licked my face playfully "I'm always having to save your sorry hide" I grinned and rolled my eyes. I kissed her tongue shot into my mouth. I pulled her to the ground and we embraced each other for a moment "I love you Chrysalis."

"I love you to Meta" I grinned and helped her up. We started flying towards Canterlot. The Equestrian army lied scattered and confused.

The Final Battle was about to begin.

The survivors of the equestrian army were regrouping to defend Canterlot. Nine thousand guards escaped from us, We still had sixty thousand changeling's swarming towards Canterlot, All hope seemed lost for them and total victory was within our grasp.

*Celestia*

"We stand now..Against impossible odds... the changeling's outnumber us six to one... Are you going to let them destroy your homes and devour your loved ones? Would you stand aside and let them succeed? The army roared "NEVER!, WE WILL FIGHT AND DIE FOR YOU PRINCESS!" The army was quickly setting up a defensive perimeter around Canterlot. Hundreds of guards manned the walls with spears and arrows. They were ready to fight to their last breath to defend their home.

"Tonight we make our final stand against the changeling's... If we beat them here the swarm will be crippled. If we truly wish to defeat the hive we must kill its leaders. Chrysalis and Metamorphosis must die here tonight... The army roared in confirmation and turned to the rapidly approaching horde.

Celestia stood with her sister. They both stared at the swarm of changeling's approaching Canterlot. Luna spoke, "Sister... is this the end?" Celestia sighed "I don't know Luna... but if it is to be our end, then we will make such an end.. that we will be remembered for our stand here tonight." The sisters looked into each others eyes, filled with fear and determination they ignited their horns and prepared to assault the swarm for the last time.

*Meta*

I was flying next to Chrysalis watching the guards scramble to prepare for our attack. Several beams of magic flew from the walls and struck changeling's out of the sky "Is this all the resistance they can-LOOK OUT!" A golden and a blue beam swirled together and exploded. Thousands of changeling's fell from the sky from the massive explosion. I hissed in frustration, Their defensive capabilities already exceeded my expectations. I saw changeling's attempting to swarm the wall but where being cut down by Pegasi royal guards. I spoke to Chrysalis, "Its our job to stop the princess's.. This time we wont be alone.

"This will be a defining battle for the ages. Chrysalis thought. We flew towards the Princess's together and when they noticed us they took off to meet us in the air. All of our horns began to glow, It was now or never.

Chrysalis collided with Celestia and I collided with Luna. The force of the collision wracked my body, However I could see it did more to Luna. She looked dizzy and I took advantage of her weakness. I struck her with all my might. Luna began to fall when I noticed Chrysalis had not fared as well as I.

Celestia's horn was glowing and she was striking Chrysalis repeatedly. Chrysalis's eyes glowed solid green and she broke the relentless assault with a beam of green energy. They collided again and I turned back to Luna just in time to be struck square in the face by a illuminated hoof, I had to release my grip on her.

I noticed Luna had a black eye and I shot a green beam of energy at her. She countered it with a beam of blue energy and we fought to gain the upper hand over each others magic. I slowly began to overpower her and once the beam reached her horn there was a green flash and she was sent towards the earth.

Now was my chance. I flew into her and made her collision with the earth twice as rough. "CELESTIA! HELP ME! I silenced her with my hoof, "LUNA NO!" I heard Celestia yell. She began to dive bomb me but was slowed down by hundreds of changeling's

I grinned manically and turned to Luna. She had fear in her eyes and I pressed her face into the dirt with my hoof. I leaned closer to her face and instead of going for her throat I went to her horn and bit down hard. Luna screamed in pain and I felt a utterly massive wave of energy enter my body. There was almost to much for my body to hold and twitched as I absorbed Luna's power, as I absorbed it I saw the moon sink down below the horizon,

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO" In a few more moments Luna had turned into a lifeless corpse. I looked at Celestia only to have a wave for fear wash over me. "Perhaps Ive gone to far.."

Celestia hovered with a look of utter rage on her face, her eyes were glowing orange and her mane and tail were ablaze. I saw her horn glow from a brilliant gold to a dark orange.. The sun rose swiftly and to my dread I saw Chrysalis's wings were torn and she looked like she couldn't walk either. I turned back to Celestia and gasped when I saw that the sun had tripled in size and had turned into a menacing red ball.

I expected her to dive bomb me in complete rage, when she didn't I was relieved only to have it immediately replaced with complete terror. Celestia was smothered in a giant fire ball heading straight for Chrysalis. "No.." I put all my strength into a shield around Chrysalis.

When Celestia struck the shield it shattered to a million pieces like a window. "NOOOO CHRYSALIS!!!" I teleported to her and blasted Celestia off of her. I felt Luna's power coursing through my veins and I was able to launch her into the air. I pulled a shield around me to examine the love of my life.

Chrysalis wasn't moving, her hide looked cracked in several places and barely escaped being shattered completely. "No No PLEASE NO! I checked for a heart beat, thank god I found one but it was very faint. Chrysalis was on the verge of death. I canceled the shield and my eyes began to glow a solid green. My irises vanished and I roared with all my strength and barreled towards Celestia.

When we collided I might as well have been trying to stop an avalanche with my chest. I flew back but recovered before I hit the ground. Celestia had unleashed the full power of the sun. I didn't have a snowflakes chance in tarturus to defeat her by myself. I flew down to the swarm, the battle had ended on the ground and Celestia stood alone against us.

I commanded the changeling's to fire all the energy they had into me. They did so and I absorbed their energy. Luna's power as well as the power of the swarm was going to kill me if I didn't vent it off, I charged a beam of energy and shot it at Celestia with all my strength.

Celestia countered my attack with a beam of my own, I was channeling so much energy I could barely control it. I was stunned with shock when Celestia began to beat my attack with hers. "Its not possible..." The orange beam collided with me and I was sent flying.

I struggled to get to my hooves. I noticed Celestia was having a hard time staying in the air. Maybe her power has limits... I thought. The changeling's looked tired and I commanded them to fire their energy at me again, They did as I commanded and I channeled as much energy as I could into the beam. Celestia was on the ground now and she began to charge her horn once more.

When the two beams collided a thundering boom could be heard. I fought her magic for every inch of space I could. Again her magic overpowered me. "Ive come so far... Ive given up so much... I Didn't come this far to give up! ILL DIE BEFORE THAT FUCKING TYRANT BEATS ME!"

I commanded the changeling's to fire the energy they had left towards me. They were exhausted so it wasn't much, I summoned a power deep inside me to defeat Celestia once and for all. I could see Celestia panting, It didn't look like she could take much more. I fired one last desperate beam of green energy at Celestia, She countered it once again but this time I held my ground.

Slowly but surely my magic began to run out, I couldn't summon enough energy to defeat her. The goddess of the sun was simply to powerful... I saw Chrysalis laying in the dirt battered and broken. I gave one final push and my magic began to win out over Celestia. I desperately fought back and she looked like she had enough.

Slowly the energy of the changeling race began to approach Celestia's horn. My heart was racing, Victory just inches away from my hooves. The beam reached Celestia's horn and she was sent flying back. I gave her no respite and quickly charged her before she could regain her footing.

When I reached her she was back to her normal self. I struck her repeatedly "THIS IS FOR CHRYSALIS YOU SON OF A BITCH!" I dragged her over to Chrysalis's body and tossed her in the crater that Chrysalis was in. Chrysalis was still...To still.

"No." I leaned in to her chest..

Silence.

NO! I dragged Celestia closer to Chrysalis. "Please no.." I channeled energy directly into Chrysalis's heart. However resurrection magic took immense amounts of energy. Something I no longer had. A changeling landed next to me with a frighted but determined expression on his face.

I tackled him and bit into his neck. I absorbed the last of his energy and turned back to Chrysalis. "Please don't leave me my love..." I channeled all the energy I could into her heart. I dragged Celestia's neck closer to Chrysalis and my hoof connected with her face when she tried to resist. Nothing happened for a long moment, Tears brewed over and I closed my eyes unable to bear the sight of my love fallen before my eyes. I turned away to hide my pain from Celestia.

I didn't care anymore, my life's meaning had just vanished in a single attack from Celestia. I heard a hiss of pain and Celestia whispered "I'm coming Luna..." The sound of her voice made me enraged. I turned around intent on ripping her throat out myself when I froze mid stride.

Chrysalis was biting into the neck of Celestia and I could see her power rapidly draining. The sun began to shrink and return to normal. Chrysalis looked like she had before the battle and continued to look better and better. Once Celestia had lost the her color and laid still I snapped out of my shock and hugged Chrysalis tighter then I ever had before.

Tears were streaming down my face. "Oh thank god your alright..." I moved her face towards mine and we kissed each other, Our tongues shot into each others mouthes immediately and I embraced her for several minutes. Once we had fulfilled our need for each other I thought. "Do you know how worried I was? I thought id lost you forever."

She replied and I was so relieved to hear her mental voice inside my head "I couldn't just leave you alone Could I? I kissed her again and we started walking towards the rest of the changeling army "You wouldn't believe the kind of power Celestia had inside of her." "I know, Luna has an overwhelming amount of power as well."

Chrysalis gave the starving and exhausted changeling's energy to survive. I looked out across Canterlot and the battle field, We've won... We overthrew two immortal goddess's of the sun and the moon... I nuzzled Chrysalis "We will rule Equestria together my love.." Chrysalis turned to me and her eyes glowed solid green, my eyes soon followed and we both thought.

King Of The Hive

This chapter has Mature content, for the convenience of those who do not wish to read it I will mark the beginning of it and the end with a red line.

As we got closer to the desert It became noticeably hotter. The heat felt good, it made me feel like this is where I belonged, I sighed in relief. I see why you choose to live in the dessert. The heat here makes you feel so alive.

"Yes. The heat is wonderful isn't it? this was meant to be our home." I began to see changeling's more frequently, we were getting closer to the hive when Chrysalis said "Ive been communicating with the hive ever since I saved you from the guards. Preparing for your arrival."

"Whats so important about me that you had to prepare for my arrival?" I didn't understand. Chrysalis explained to me "You and I are the first evolved changeling's in over 200 years." My eyes shot open,

"That long huh? we must be pretty important." We were getting close to a mountain with a huge crack in it I could see hundreds of changeling's flying around it. "Is that the hive?" I asked. Chrysalis.

"Yes. It is the evolved changeling's job to guide and rule over the hive. But there has only ever been one evolved changeling and when I evolved I was crowned queen of the changeling's and it became my duty to watch over the hive. But now that your here, we can rule over the hive together. We can bring the hive to a new level of power. One that has not been seen since the very beginning of the changeling race."

"Are you saying you want me to rule with you?" I was shocked that she had this much faith in us. "Yes. Id like you to rule with me Metamorphosis." I grinned "It would be an honor to rule over the hive with you my love." We both landed in the hive. Chrysalis turned around and kissed me passionately. I returned the kiss with equal vigor and her tongue shot into my mouth. I was happy that she loved me enough to perform that on her own. Our tongues danced for a few moments then she ended the kiss and told me "Come. The hive awaits us."

I followed her through many tunnels and I expected to see more changeling's then this. "Where are all of the changeling's?" Chrysalis spoke "They are waiting for us a giant underground cavern where I will address all of them at one time. And they will need to see their new king. We approached a corridor she pushed it open with her magic and I asked "Just how many changeling's are in the hive anyw-... Oh.. That many."

What I saw blew my mind, Tens of thousands of changeling's stood in the cavern. Not all of them looked like warriors but the sheer number of changeling's took my breath away. Once we were noticed all of them began to buzz their wings and the sound of it could match the roar of an Ursa major. Chrysalis began to speak in a magically amplified voice. "I have returned from the invasion of Canterlot.. even though we lost it has not been a total failure. I have found one who will help me lead us to even greater glory."

The changeling's buzzed their wings again in approval. I walked next to Chrysalis and she spoke again. "Our defeat has given us an even greater gift then I had ever hoped to receive..Behold your new king! *Metamorphosis!* The following buzz was deafening and changeling's began to fly all around us. "They are accepting you" Chrysalis told me, I grinned and watched them circle around me. They began to fly closer to me then they broke off into 30 different directions. The rest of the hive scattered and they began to get back to their posts.

When the cavern was nearly empty Chrysalis grinned and said "Follow me my love" I followed her even deeper and eventually we came across a large double door with two elite changeling's guarding it. They looked more armored and stronger in general. They were born with that occupation, They opened the massive doors for us and Chrysalis spoke to them "Make sure we aren't disturbed." They nodded in confirmation and closed the doors. Chrysalis turned around and looked at me seductively "Remember when I said that I would show you what that feeling was earlier?.."

I bit my lip in anticipation, "Yes, I do." She grinned "Well now its my turn to formally recognize you as our king... and accept you as my mate." we shared the same expressions now and she walked towards me slowly to prolong the moment. My heart began to beat faster in anticipation as well, when she got close to me I lunged forward and my primal instinct took over.

Our faces connected in a furiously passionate kiss I pulled her gently towards the floor, We wrapped around each other with our hooves. Our horns connected and began to give off a radiant glow. I could feel my minds *Essence* begin to cuddle and mix with hers. I could smell Chrysalis begin to give off mating pheromones which excited me to no end. My heart began to race as both of our feelings rebounded across our growing mental link. Chrysalis was trembling in excitement and I could feel the same thing I felt in the cave that very first night. I followed my new instincts as it flowed up my body. Wherever it traveled I felt an unimaginable feeling of euphoria rise up from my stomach. It started flowing up from my body past my heart and once it reached my throat my whole body began to shake. from the overwhelming pleasure. Chrysalis had been feeling exactly what I was feeling according to our mental link. In the last moment a blueish green substance flowed into my mouth. I followed my instincts and proceeded to push the substance into Chrysalis's mouth. As soon as I did this her eyes shot open and her pupils fully dilated. She swallowed every mouthful of the substance I gave her. Slowly the overwhelming feelings began to die down. We both laid there panting cuddling in each others hooves. Chrysalis had a satisfied expression on her face and she touched her horn to mine. My eyes shot wide open as a wave of pure, love energy was exchanged between us. I absorbed her energy and she absorbed mine. we had generated love together, something that had not been done since the very beginning of the changeling race.

We laid there for what seemed like hours, Chrysalis licked her lips to get what was left of the substance off. She grinned and we Inhaled each others scents. I wrapped my hooves around her and hugged her tightly, She instantly returned the hug I felt a bond to Chrysalis that had not been there before. "I love you Chrysalis." I whispered.

"I love you to Metamorphosis." I cuddled with her and we both sighed in contentment and started to drift off. I finally felt I was where I truly belonged.

A few hours earlier.

*Lunar guard Pov*

I landed in the courtyards exhausted from the fight. I lay there panting when I heard the voices of my fellow guards. "Lightning strike is that you? What happened your squad is MIA."

"No... They're KIA" Their eyes shot wide open at the news. "What the hell happened to them?!" I sighed. "He killed them... he killed them all."

The guards knew exactly what it meant. The news that Shining Armor had turned into a changeling was all over Canterlot. "He kept me alive to relay a message to the princess's. They looked at me and said. "We better get moving then.

When we arrived at the throne room It was heavily guarded. They let us in and both Princess's were unwilling to leave each other that night. They had already been tended to by Canterlots finest doctors and they were currently recovering from Metamorphosis's attack. Both princess's turned to me and Celestia asked me "Did you find him?" I sighed and nodded. Celestia shook her head in disappointment, "I take It you failed to capture them then." I nodded and said "He kept me alive to relay a message to both of you." Celestia blinked "Very well. relay the message."

"He said that he wants you to stop following him, and That he no longer goes by Shining Armor, Instead he wishes to be called Metamorphosis. The last thing is that he says to give up if you wish to bring him back to his old self.. he said that Shining Armor is lost forever."

Princess Celestia sighed in frustration. "Cadence and Twilight are not going to stop until I think of something to stop him. Neither of them want him dead, but I'm afraid he is far to dangerous now. His power will only continue to grow. We must stop him while we have the chance.

Princess Celestia turned to whisper into Luna's ear. I will have an Elite guard sneak into the hive and kill them for this betrayal... I will make him strong enough and fast enough for the job.

"I wish this wasn't necessary but I'm going to have to draft ponies into the royal guard to protect equestria from this growing threat... Now all of you go. I need to plan." The ponies left and Celestia sighed in frustration again.

"Shining Armor is dead. There is only a monster that calls himself Metamorphosis left inside of him now"

New Powers and Revelations

New powers and Revelations.

Chrysalis and I stood in the Canterlot gardens reveling in our victory. The swarm was tasked to pick up the pieces in Canterlot and they were busy getting rid of bodies and clearing debris. "I really hope that we didn't get rid of the sun and the moon when we killed the princess's...

Chrysalis replied "Maybe since we absorbed their power... we can control the skies now." I turned my head "Thats an interesting theory. I tried to feel the moon with my magic. Somehow I was able to reach all the way out into space with my magic now. "I think I absorbed Luna's connection the the moon." I tried to lift the moon into the sky and I was shocked at how easy it was. The moon rose above the horizon and laid still "That must mean you can control the sun now my love."

"Perhaps" I gave our new powers thought and froze when a sudden realization occurred in my mind. "The princess's were Immortal..... Does that make us?.." Chrysalis interrupted me "Immortal as well?... You and I are the new embodiments of the sun and the moon... I think we both are immortal." I nuzzled her and replied "This is the start of an empire that will last throughout the ages..." "So it is my love... So it is."
