The cold winter air bit into Pinkies uncovered flesh. Pinkie quickly stopped to rub her hooves together for warmth. She sighed and sat down with a thump against the cold cobblestone walkways. She looked around miserably and noticed she was alone due to the late hour. She sniffed and raised silver and black cracked mask to examine. She quietly trembled and cried as memories of the party she had for Twilight came rushing back to her. The quiet cries become great sobs that shook her entire body to the point where she fell and curled into a ball on the cold unforgiving stone.
"Twilight!"
"Twilight!"
Startled, Twilight turned from the store window she was looking at to find a pink pony grinning and bouncing in place. "Yes, Pinkie?" Twilight asked with an amused expression.
"Lookie at what I have for you!" Pinkie Pie said with joy and handed Twilight an envelope with a faint scent of cake batter.
"In honor of hearths warming eve I, Pinkamena Diane Pie, will be holding a party at Sugarcube Corner, but not just any party its a masquerade!" Pinkie shouted in joy. Sparkles dancing in her eyes gave away her hope and joy for the oncoming party.
"Oh, well Spike and I would love to attend when is it?" Twilight asked a grin working its way onto her face.
"The party will be a week from now, and I'm inviting half the town! There's going to be games, dancing, and music. So be ready to shake your groove thang!" Twilight smiled and thought of the last time Pinkie hosted one of her famous parties. It had been too long.
"Well don't worry Pinkie I'll be there." Twilight gently picked the invitation up in her magical grip and started to walk to her castle.
"Oh wait, Twilight I have something I need to tell you at the party. Will you meet me at the punch bowl a little into the party?" Worry threatened to crumple the happy facade Pinkie supported on her face, but she held firm. Twilight shouted conformation and continued on her way. Pinkie bite her bottom lip in worry of the events the party might hold.
Pinkie blubbered and mumbled to her self in the cold, lonely streets of Ponyville. This wasn't supposed to happen! Not like this. With horrifying detail, she recalled the last moments of the party before her swift departure.
Pinkie looked around at the guests and was pleased to see everyone enjoying themselves. She had gone all out with the decor and while it had taken days to set up, but it was worth it to look at the golds, silvers, and blacks blend to form a jaw-dropping experience. She had done this all for one pony. She smiled seeing her soon to be special somepony waiting for her at the punch bowl with a cheery grin she started trotting happily to her when she stopped suddenly.
Rarity and Twilight were in a deep looking discussion, so she waited for them to finish. She took the time to adjust her mask and fix her outfit. It had to be perfect for her. She noticed Twilight smile and nod enthusiastically at something and it began to look like the conversation was over. Pinkie started making her way to Twilight going through all the things she planned to say when suddenly Twilight and Rarity leaned in and shared a soft, chaste kiss.
Pinkie stopped. Her entire world seems to tilt and shatter at the innocent yet, agony-inducing kiss. She faintly recalled collapsing and her mane reverting into its straight counterpart. All she knew was the cold embrace of rejection. She felt hooves shake her and voices call her name. Pinkie Shaken out of her stupor she looked up to see Twilight, and Rarity's concerned faces looking at along with everyone else. "Pinkie are you okay? Whats wrong." Twilight asked her voice panicked. Pinkie looked up with horror and bolted pass everyone, failing to open the door before slamming her face on it. She heard the crack of the mask but registered no pain. She ran off into the dark, cold night leaving everyone to worry and ask others if they saw what happened.
Her soft heart-wrenching cries had abated to silent tears falling from her eyes. With a sigh, she looked into the sky hoping for a sign or answer. She was met with silence and closed her eyes. "Oh Twilight, I love you." Her declaration of love was only known to the heavens.

Well, hope this was at least somewhat good please don't expect a lot from me I am just starting out leave suggestions in the comments on what else I should do. Goodbye!
Luna silently thanked the heavens for her sister being too busy to hike with her. Luna loved Celestia but spending time alone was also one of the joys she had in life. She took a moment to enjoy the quiet and peaceful feel of the forest. Lush and Beautiful trees and undergrowth grew undisturbed by pony kind. The light drizzle brought on by the clouds above was also comforting. Unlike her sister, Luna disliked any social actions and liked to be by herself.
She looked up to a tree to see to birds fight over a berry. She smiled as the skirmish brought back memories of the old days where she would be upon the battlefield moments from the intoxicating throes of war and fights. She was yanked into reality by a slight pain in her hoof. Looking down she noticed a silver scale lying abandoned on the forest floor. Upon levitating it up in her magic, she spun it around and saw that it crack ran down the middle.
"What is this?" Luna mumbled softly to herself. She thought of the wild battle the dragon might have undergone to lose a scale. Smiling, Luna picked it up and placed it in her saddlebag. She would have to add it to her collection of odd finds from the forests. Tia never approved of her collections a "waste of time" she called it. Celestia always believed happiness was in others. A belief Luna never approved of as it never inspired ponies to rely on themselves and not others. She shook her head at the silliness of ponies. Celestia and Luna were indeed gods to them but are they truly so simple?
Luna's mood was still somewhat downtrodden by the fight her and Celestia had had this morning. She silently wished her sister would trust her and leave her to her own devices. Luna had taken a liken to solitude and did not like the declarations of her sister from the morning.
"Luna? Are you feeling well?" Celestia asked noticing the ungodly amount of coffee cups her sister had in a levitational grasp.
"Hmm? Oh, yes quiet we were up last night reading poetry. Truly a magnificent art."Luna yawned and nodded a goodbye to her sister as she walked out from the royal dining area.
"Wait I wanted you to know that I have planned a little surprise for you." Celestia giggled at the thought of it and smiled at Luna. "I have arranged a little outing with you and Twilight Sparkle." Luna look at Celestia in shock.
" We..do not wish to attend." Luna said quickly panicking at the thought of a "date" as the ponies nowadays called it.
"Luna, please she just wishes to talk." Celestia soothed.
Chewing her lip at the thought of the precious time to her self that would have to be sacrificed for this "outing" with Twilight Spark. With a sigh, Luna agreed and left the room to retreat to her quarters to get ready for the early morning hike she had planned.
With a though, she pulled out the scale to examine it again. She thought of the freedom dragons had and wished it for herself. With a deep breath, she breathed in the damp sweet smelling air and pondered if she should tell Twilight that something came up and they would have to reschedule. Luna shook her head at the thought. She valued her word and promised highly, so in good conscience could not skip out on the dreaded outing.
Luna slipped the scale back in and spread her mighty wings. With a single thrust, she launched herself and the air and made for Canterlot.
