Power Ponies: Appreciating Humdrum
Epilogue
Previous ChapterEvening in the city of Maretropolis. All is quiet, except for a group of five burglars making an attempt break into an electronics shop. Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched. Just as one them managed to break the lock, a few silver marbles landed fell from the sky and landed next to them. The five men didn't even have time to react seeing as how the marbles exploded; releasing a thick puff of smoke. A figure dropped down out of nowhere and made quick work out of four of the five burglars. When the smoke cleared, only one of them were standing; the rest were gone. "I'm only giving you this one warning." came a voice. The last burglar turned around to see a silhouette of someone standing a few feet from him. "Give up."
The burglar pulled out a knife from his back pocket and made an attempt to charge at the silhouette, but something stopped him. Looking down at his feet he saw that both his legs were frozen solid. "W-What?!" he yelled. Looking up, he saw a fist coming at him. The burglar was knocked onto his back and out of consciousness.
"Good work, Humdrum." said Twilight as she walked on scene.
"Thanks." he said as he looked up to see the rest of the burglars hanging from the building next door. "The cops should be here any second now, we better go."
Two weeks had passed since Spike fully recovered. Now back at 100%, he was able to fight alongside his friends with no worries about taking it easy. Keeping with the decision he made to continue helping the public no matter what, he made it known to everyone that he was here to stay. Sure he was still met with hatred from the people, but he no longer let that get to him. He found solace in knowing that he was staying true to himself. Since the days of his recovery, he'd noticed that Twilight was spending more time next to him. He figured that she still felt guilty about not realizing about the people's hatred for him, and wanted to find a way to make it up to him. The car show they went to was the most fun he's had in months. Both he and Rainbow Dash were like children in a store; running around and touching things they really shouldn't be touching. Fun day for them, embarrassing for everyone else. Deep in Twilight's mind however, she felt that this wasn't enough. Three years of ignoring the problem, and taking him to a simple car show is how she fixes it? No. That won't do. There has to be something else she can do to make it up to Spike. To show him how much she cares. On top of that, there's been a little conversation she's been meaning to have with him, but felt a bit embarrassed to bring it up.
After their patrol, Spike and Twilight returned to the mansion; the others were still out. Spike laid in his room staring at the ceiling as the tv played. He hadn't noticed that Twilight was standing at the door wearing a light purple tank top and light blue shorts. She knocked on the door to catch his attention. "Um, Spike?" she said as he lifted his head. "Mind if I come in?"
"Sure." he answered. Twilight entered his room and got on his bed; laying right beside him.
"So what are you watching?" she asked.
"Nothing really. The tv's just on; wasn't really paying attention to it." he answered. "So, what's up?"
"Oh, nothing, I just wanted to see how you were doing that's all." she said. Twilight scooted closer towards him so that she could rest her head on his shoulder. She immediately felt Spike's body tense up as her chest rubbed up against his arm. "Actually Spike, there's another reason why I wanted to talk to you."
"W-what is it?" he asked as he felt her breasts against his arm.
"Well.......I know that taking you to that car show was our way of telling you that we care, but.......I don't believe it's enough." she explained. "I feel like there's more I could, more I should do to show that I care, and that i'm sorry for not noticing what you were going through the past three years." Twilight held Spike's arm close to her; not noticing that his face was now beat red. "I wish I knew what to do."
Spike's senses went into overdrive as he felt Twilight's soft body next to him; even more so when she moved so that her upper body was right over him. She looked at his redden face with concern in her eyes; not realizing that she was giving him ample view of her cleavage. "Spike?" she started. "Are you uncomfortable with me being here?"
"W-What? No." he said. "Why do you ask?"
"Because your body is all stiffen up, and your face is red." she answered as her face stared to get red as well. "Y-you know, just like last time." Spike knew what she was talking about. Last time they were like this, Spike was caught in a......."special" predicament. He had hoped Twilight had forgotten about that, but it seems she didn't. How DO you forget about something like that anyway? "We don't make it any easier on you do we?" she asked. "I mean, you're the only guy living in a mansion with six girls who you see practically naked every other night."
"Yeah, that's true." he chuckled lightly. Twilight saw that he was avoiding making eye contact with her for some reason. It wasn't until she saw his eyes travel downward for a second before looking away that she realized that she was showing off her cleavage. With a loud gasp, Twilight moved off him into a sitting position; cover her chest with her arms. As Spike sat up, he looked over at Twilight who looked back at him; her face now as red as his. The two of them sat there in an awkward silence for a few seconds before they started snickering, and then laughing. After a while, Twilight moved to sit next to Spike; the two of them sitting in silence for a brief moment before Twilight spoke up. "Say, Spike? do you have a......girlfriend?"
"W-What?" he said in shock.
"Shit, why did I ask that?" she thought.
"N-No, I don't." he answered; looking down. "I haven't even kissed a girl." Twilight had no idea what it was that compelled her to do what she was about to do. Maybe it was her desire to do more for Spike. Maybe it was something else entirely, but all she knew was that she found herself scooting closer to him and placing a hand on top of his.
"Maybe, I can help with that." she said in a soft tone.
As Spike shot his head up to look at her, Twilight moved in and planted her lips over his. Spike was as stiff as a statue as he felt those soft lips of hers on his. He had no idea what to do, and it wasn't as if he could kiss her back. He had no experience in this department; unlike her. To Spike's knowledge, Twilight has had a total of two boyfriends since he joined up with the team. The first one he never met because the relationship between the two of them was already ending by the time he join up, but the second one was a cocky, reckless, idiot who nearly got himself and those around him killed with his antics. Honestly, he had no idea what she saw in them. Both guys were members of the "Superhero Community" as most people call it, so there was no need for Twilight to worry about her identity getting out to the public.
Twilight slowly broke the kiss as started at Spike who was just dumbfounded by what just happened. She giggled as she watched his face. "So, how was your first kiss?" she asked.
"Uuuuuhhhhh." he said. "Uuuuuhhhhh."
Twilight laughed as Spike couldn't form a single word. "Wanna continue?" she asked and was answered a nod. Moving back in, Twilight started kissing Spike once again; slowly pushing him onto his back while crawling on top of him. "W-What am I doing?" she thought. "Why does this feel so........so right?"
Spike's body went on autopilot as his arms wrapped around Twilight; holding her close as she deepened the kiss. Just like last time, Spike rubbed his hands up and down her back before moving his right down her perfectly round rear to which he grabbed and squeezed; causing her to release a muffled moan. Twilight slowly broke away from the kiss and looked Spike in the eyes; breathing heavily. "S-Spike." she panted. Not wanting this to stop, Spike lifted his head and smashed his lips against hers to which she didn't protest. Their little make-out session went on for a few minutes until both their phones went off. Both Spike and Twilight broke away from each other to check who was messaging them.
DIAMOND DOGS AND MANE IAC DOWNTOWN! GET YOU ASSES HERE NOW! ~Rarity
Spike and Twilight looked at each other and nodded; quickly getting out of bed to change into their costumes. Spike couldn't believe that he had just made out with Twilight; the leader of the team. Did she always feel that way about him, or did she do that just to make herself feel less guilty? "So, I guess we're a couple now." he thought as he grabbed his costume. After a few minutes, Spike met up with Twilight on the roof. She had just finished telling Rarity the two of them were on their way.
"Ready Spike?" she said.
"Y-yeah." he answered; looking down. "Um, Twilight.......a-about what we did......."
"Do you regret it?" she asked.
"What no! It was amazing, it's just.......what now?" he said with uncertainty.
"Well, obviously, we can't go back to be friends, can we?" she teased. Spike looked up at her and was about to say something when she grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to her. "So you better treat me right, or I swear i'll freeze you until the next century." A smile formed on Spike's face and he nodded which caused Twilight to give him a small peck on the lips. Her eyes lidded as she gave him a sultry look. "If you want, we can pick up where we left off when we get back." Twilight didn't give Spike a chance to respond as she used her ice powers to get them into the city. Within seconds they were gone.
End.
