Your Human and You: Adventures of the Griffon Girl
A Chrystalmas Surprise
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI was sitting on the couch the day after the wedding, and eating some more cake Slasher had decided I needed as a reward for not running? I wanted to refuse.. But she insisted. And I mean really insisted I eat the cake. She was acting weird. I clicked to her, asking what was wrong, and she looked up at me.
"It's almost Crystalmas and well... She wants you to be well fed so... Santa Claws will bring her a mouse biscuit in her stocking." I began laughing as I laid back on the human bed, shaking my head.
Crystalmas... I hate puns.
=You two still believe in Santa?!=
"Well obviously. I see him every year! He always lands on the roof and drops presents down the chimney! That's why it's tradition to put out the fire, and snuggle up under a few extra blankets!" Slasher was jumping up and down, and I was shaking my head and chuckling. She huffed and pecked my cheek with her beak, and I touched the wound. My face was going through hell by now, and she wasn't helping.
=Slasher, that hurt.=
I swatted her on the nose, and she smirked, getting into a playful defensive position. I sighed and stood up, getting ready for battle against a little shit for bird.
Rue squeaked and backed up, laying down in the human bed to avoid the battle.
I tackled Slasher and wrestled, she tried to pin my hands, and I halfheartedly poked at the base of her wing. She screeched, and fluttered her wings, trying to distract me from her talons. I covered my face with my arms and rolled away from the onslaught of attacks and jumped up to run. I was able to make it out the door before I found myself in Medallions tight magic hold.
"Slasher, what did I say about letting her out without a leash?" His voice was empty and annoyed. I grunted and grabbed his horn, causing myself to drop. I stood, my arms crossed angrily as I glared at the stallion. He looked at me, completely baffled.
"How did you-?! How did you do that?!" I turned and looked at Slasher, and saw Claw quickly behind her.
=I think I'll head out with Claw today, see what she gets up to. See ya Slasher, have fun with Rue!=
Before she could respond, Claw looked at me, a smile on her face as she cooed.
"You wanna go for a walk girl? You wanna go out? Come on! Let's go bye bye!" I stared at her dumbfounded, and Slasher had the same reaction.
She continued her baby talk and chatter as she carried my cold weather wear to the door and started to outfit me, all the while with me just... Sitting. Dumbly. Stupidly. She connected the leash to my collar and I blinked myself back to normal, however it was to late. She was already pulling me onto her back. She had slipped a harness over my body to keep me from falling off and dying. I was sitting dumbly as she re clipped the leash to the back of the harness.
=SLASHER I CHANGED MY MIND I WANT TO STAY WITH YOU GUYS HELP ME.=
Slasher only waved as we took off flying at speeds unimaginable. I fell at the speeds we were moving, making me cry out in fear. My heart beat dramatically as I fell, everything seeming to slow down. My arms flew up, trying to grab her talons, my hair seemed to float around my head.
This is how I die...
The whole thing seemed overly dramatic as I fell, but there was an intense and strong tug on the back of the harness as I jolted up and down.
This is it... This is how I die.
I blinked as I realized I was no longer falling.
oh...
I grabbed the thin strained line to hold myself up, and I shrieked.
"HEY Calm down girl, calm down I've got you, you're OK!! Come on, you're ok!" Claws cooing did not help me at all. It helped me as much as a flying crab would help a dolphin.
I gave little instinctual cries of fear as I shivered from the wind chill.
"Come on girl... Just peek? It's so pretty... This harness costs a lot, and I want you used to flying!" She was being as careful and supportive as one can be. I sighed softly and opened my eye. Snow capped mountains flew passed us as I gawked, feeling the wind against my face.
We flew higher, the wind making my eyes water, making me slowly wipe my tears. We flew over a cloud, and I froze, a loud yelp coming from me as we landed on it. It was soft, pillowy, and plush. I had trouble walking on it making me yelp every time I took a step. My foot sunk into the cloudy ground and I wobbled with every step. Claw had no problem with walking as she slowly walked me around on it. We walked slowly, I assume to let me get used to the ground around me. She waited and waited, and continued to guide me with gentle tugs, and I, being me, tried to pull back. She snorted and yanked forwards, causing me to yelp.
"Yeah, don't try and pull that with me Mikros." She smiled playfully and nudged me onto her back. I happily obliged and hugged her neck, laying my head on her feathers. She trotted a few yards and set me down again, to my dismay, and hitched me to a post. This was... strange. It was a solid mass, like wood. It was a densely packed pole of cloud.
I quickly turned and looked around, watching her walk off towards a few shops.
I saw a small store, labeled TOYS FOR LILUNS, and I remembered the book lord of the flies.
Shaking my head, I looked at the knot on my leash tying me up, and untied it, beginning to slowly leave tracks to the store. I bounced and wobbled on the pillowy surface. Soon, I was at the door to the store, and the cashier looked at me surprised, but uninterested. I pushed the door open, and stumbled onto the solid floor. Thank Christ.
After a second of looking around, I stood up to walk through the store. Toys of ponies and toys of humans and toys of griffons, all side by side. They were beautifully designed, and well crafted. No plastic-
There was a loud squeak from a squeaky toy in the front from the cashier, obviously trying to gain my attention to get me away from the products. I stole a small wooden carved dragon and examined it, looking it over slowly. I would keep this, hopefully she wouldn't care.
The cashier shook a bag of treats, and I twitched angrily, growling softly. I grabbed a little pony and looked it over, a smile on my face. I picked up a griffon and looked it over too. A set caught my eye, in a language I have yet to see. It was.. 4 ponies with both horns and wings. I was confused, turning it over to look at it.
Seriously, these toys were awesomely made! I walked around, looking at the other wooden figures, becoming more and more lost in the aisles. The cashier gave a defeated huff and followed me to keep me from taking anything off the shelf that she thought could hurt me. I picked up a few dolls of griffons, but setting them down again. I picked up a book, and examined it. It was a children's book in the same language as the writing with the horses! I looked it over, and, while she was distracted, slipped it into my jacket. She was a real ditz.
A screech came from outside and I heard a frantic crying, almost like a baby or... something. I ran to the front, stumbling and knocking over a few things on my way. The cashier yelped and started to clean up, and I grabbed a little toy pony for connected to a little toy griffon.
After getting tackled by Claw outside the store, and probably being caught stealing from a toy store, I had lost my walking freely privileges. We flew back to the inn and I hid the little figures I stole in my bed. They weren't easy to spot either. I hid my book under my poncho, and hid it under my blankets when I was done. I hadn't noticed all of the massive amounts of red and green lights and other items. My body froze up when I saw what was there, in my corner when I was aloud to walk inside...
A fucking child, looking around with no fucking clue what was happening. His owner sat off in the corner talking to Slasher and levitating a bag of bits. He was either offering to buy me, or sell her the kid if she took the bits. My body hurt when Rue took the money and the guy just walked out.
I huffed and looked at the kid, and he looked back. I heard humans don't smile here...
But he just did.
