Your Human and You: Adventures of the Griffon Girl

I woke to a warm blanket of feathers over me with Fylakas's face a few inches from my face as he slept. I looked surprised, and turned to see Slasher had Rue closely cuddled to her, and Slashers front paws gently wrapped around me. I became amused and slowly began to slide my way out of the situation. I looked around the room and just held my head, having a stomach ache and the light hurting my eyes. The sun was far up over the horizon. Rue gave a little snort when she noticed the disturbance of my warmth missing and Fylakas was woken up by this. I felt my hung over mind come up with the most dastardly idea. I pushed Fylakas until he was in the place I was, and he realized what I had done a bit to late, now completely trapped in a prison of feathers and fur. I walked over to the bathroom, made myself upchuck what I hadn't digested last night, brushed my teeth, and felt much better- except for the headache. I slowly started making coffee, and the smell alone seemed to soothe the headache. The bean water made me feel great today.

I picked up my cup and smiled, feeling the weight in my hands. I took a breath and stretched. Today, I didn't even WANT to speak. I felt around my neck and blinked a bit, feeling a tightness that hadn't been there before. I walked back to the bathroom mirror and held up my chin to notice an easily unbuckleable styled collar around my neck, a bright color of pink around my neck. I unbuckled it and Rue jolted awake with a yelp after her horn flared, and this shocked Slasher awake and made her fall off the bed in a mess of feathers and tired blanket. I doubled over laughing at her, dropping the collar when I saw it. Rue hid her face in her hooves and moaned loudly in embarrassment. I walked out after I picked up the collar and snickered quietly. She glared at me and huffed, noticing the collar was in my hand. She looked surprised, slowly illuminating the thing in a very light aura, and levitating it closer to her. I smiled and moved tot he coffee maker, pouring a cup. I looked at Fylakas, asking if he wanted to have coffee. He blinked, confused.

"Why didn't you just speak? You can you know." I looked at him like he was dumb, taking a breath and sighing, and looking at him. I hoped the princess would have drank herself to a blackout so she wouldn't remember me speaking. I poured another few cups and set them down on the table.

"You guys want Omelets?" I smiled, and flinched at the staring I got from Rue and Slasher, and the intense gasp of happiness I got from Fylakas. He seemed overly excited about eating that named food.

"That was my favorite food back in our world Baladia!!" He ran to the cupboard and grabbed out a pan, some oil and eggs. He ran over to the stove and seemed to stiffen. I suddenly got an idea, dripping with the possibility of not only embarrassing myself, but Fylakas too. I walked over to Rue and leaned into her ear, not really thinking right for a moment before looking at her.

"I have an idea to give Fylakas the power to speak, but it may require some privacy and a soundproofing spell." She blinked at me and looked surprised. She nodded in contemplation and looked at Slasher, speaking to her aloud, so Fylakas couldn't understand it. Fylakas looked a bit confused, and I smiled at him and knew how weird this was going to be for him. I took a few minutes to rethink the idea, and nodded once. I'd do the idea. Slasher looked like she was about to die of laughter, which as soon as the soundproof spell was back in place, I knew she'd succumb to. She nodded and I motioned to Fylakas to follow me. He walked with me and I locked us in the bathroom, knocking on the door twice signaling it was ready. If I had magic in me, it would be easy to transfer if it manifested physically. The only way I could think of was... Well.

"Fylakas I need you to trust me. I think I may have something that will make you able to speak. I need you to close your eyes in order for me to try it. Alright?" He nodded in confusion, looking at me with a smile before he closed his eyes and waited. It was quick, enough so I couldn't really get into it. I pulled back and looked at his shocked face, his blushing made me want to do the same. I had kissed him. I had kissed him and he was shocked. I was too, but only for a moment. I opened the door, breaking the spell on the bathroom.

"Rue, you're going to be the first to speak if it worked." She nodded and walked over to him, smiling nervously. She opened her mouth and held her breath.

"Fylakas... Can you understand me?" He jumped back and stared at her, freezing. She did the same, both of them staring at the other. Then Fylakas opened his mouth and swallowed. I took a breath in and closed my eyes, expecting him to speak only to me.

"I can..." Slasher screeched with excitement and tackled me, congratulating me on how my idea had worked. He smiled and let out a disbelieving laugh. "I can understand you... Can you understand me?" Rue nodded and teared up, and ran to him, hugging him tightly. He laughed and teared up, hugging her and closing his eyes. "Your voice is so pretty... So pretty." He choked out and hugged her a bit tighter. He picked her up and smiled.

"You're bigger than I remembered last time... Oof…" He struggled to lift her a bit more, holding her up like he did a few months back at the Cruise. My lord has she grown. Slasher looked almost like an adult now, in only a few months she'll be able to cuddle me like Wench can. And yet I am still the exact same. So is Fylakas. Like we're frozen in time. Slasher nudged my arm with a little whine.

"Why don't we do that anymoooore??" Nevermind. She's still the exact same baby she's always been.

"You'd crush me if I tried! If anything the more likely scenario is you picking me up!" I laughed for a moment and slowly eyed the smile on her face as it turned evil. "Slasher no. Don't you dare!!" I backed away as she flapped her wings and snatched me up with her back claws, picking me up and tossing me up, and catching me in her front paws in a hug, and landing on the bed. I was shrieking the entire time, flailing a bit and squirming. Fylakas carried Rue to the bed and sat down laughing at something they had shared in the past. How long has it been since I've been here? Quite some I know that much. Either way, I wasn't going anywhere for quite some time. I groaned and closed my eyes, relaxing into the prison of feathers that karma had trapped me in.
