Halo wars: Equestria

Forge walked through the city his forces had freed a couple of hours ago. Currently they are cleaning up the mess from the battle as well has saving the lives of those who are trapped under rubble. Thankfully due to his orders to keep the damage to buildings where there are slaves minimal there wasn't a lot of them trapped under the rubble, they mostly found Caribou males who give up but a few did try to fight. Still they have freed many slaves and not just ponies. They found female diamond dogs, griffins, buffalo, and surprisingly the Caribou's own females. Forge would had thought it would be different but as he thought about it only males were the masters which raised some questions about the spell found on the stallions they captured.

'Hell from what I learned from the few we captured, they started with their own women and after a couple of years they decided to go for Equestria. The thing is while they attacked both the Crystal Empire and Equestria at the same time but the Crystal Empire had many more sent to fight them, and they just attacked enmasse with no plan but taking the city. This raise another question, why send so many of their forces to capture the Crystal Empire?' Forge has been making plans to send some of his forces for two reasons. One to get a foothold in the north and put more pressure on the Caribou by forcing them to focus on two fronts. The other is to find out what was so damn important to the Caribou to send so many men like they had when they attacked. Forge thought as he moved to a park where drop ships were coming in deciding to ask one of the Princesses if they have any ideas about that.

He was about to head over to a drop ship and head back to base to prepare a force of 1,000 to send to the Crystal Empire as a vanguard when he noticed Princess Luna get off one and quickly turned to her. "Princess Luna, coming her wasn't the best of ideas for my forces had yet to insure there isn't any Caribou that is likely to take a pot shot at you." Forge told her.

Luna turned to look at him. "We understand but we thought it would be best if those you freed knew that at least we are freed and safe from the Caribou. Your actions in freeing them helps but if we told them that you decided to help out of your free will and that we support your actions then they are not very likely to give you much trouble." Luna explained to him.

"Very well." Forge told her with a shake of his head. "But that least have two Elites with you to keep you safe in the event something happens." He told her waving over a pair if them from nearby and telling them to keep the Princess safe. She give him a nod of understanding and walked off to look around the city and speak to the freed slaves. Forge thought about what to do and in the end sent orders for the force to be readied and then ran to catch up with the Princess.

Two weeks later.

Forge was in the CIC reading the report sent by the force he sent to the Crystal Empire. It's heavy defended and it's capital has a mostly Caribou population aside from some slaves. One thing for sure it's going to be hell of a fight if he wants to see what's inside that they don't want anyone else to get their hands on. Plus the spell on a large number of the stallions the stallions is detected coming from the palace. 'What the hell is in this place that's so important for this kind of protection?' Forge thought to himself.

The door to the room opened as the two princesses came in along with the changeling queen. Forge looked to them and decided to ask the question in his mind. "Was there anything important in the Crystal Empire? Because what ever it is the Caribou have it defended it high hell." He told them showing them the report on the defenses. Luna looked thoughtful at the information.

"The only thing that would be considered very important would be the Crystal Heart but why would the Caribou consider that so important? It just keeps the weather from becoming too cold to for ponies to survive in the Crystal Empire." She tells him explaining how it works.

A idea came to Forge. "Is it it possible to change or add new functions to it? If so it may explain why they attacked with more forces and the higher amount of Caribou soldiers and spell on the stallions that we have been it finding on." He asked the three. The two princesses thought about it as the changeling queen looked at them.
"It's possible but to do that must had been difficult, you can't just cause a change in the way of think for many ponies if it was just ponies the spell is affecting." Twilight thought out a loud.

Chrysalis spoke up. "It may not be mind control but the increase of their darker sides influence on them. After all we all have a dark side to each of us, some more than others, no offense." She told the three looking at Luna as she said the last part.
"None taken. But she does have a point plus to would be easier than full mind control." She agreed with Chrysalis as Twilight nodding in agreement as she thought about it.

"Still that leaves us with the problem with getting in. They got a barrier around the city that looks to be a difficult one to breach." Forge told them.
"That's likely my brother's shield spell." Twilight explained to Forge. "He was the best in using defensive spells out of all of us and is likely being affected by the spell for what had happened to us isn't something he would had agreed with what the Caribou think." She continued.

Forge decided to remind her. "I know you don't want to think of it but your brother could be working for the Caribou in his own free will." He said to her thinking on the 13 stallions found to not be under the influence of the spell that was found on so many others. They are currently being held by the changelings.

They would had spoken longer but one of the CIC units sounded out a alarm. "Covenant Forces detected! drop ships only and not from orbit. Ocean and airships of unknown make with Covenant and a unknown race coming up behind them." Forge cursed loudly at them information.

"Where are they headed to!? And what are their numbers?" He asks as he sent out orders for a large amount of his forces to be combat ready.
"31 drop ships, 36 airships, and 52 ocean ships. Numbers are likely to be in the 100,000s at the least. Covenant forces number at 25,000-30,000 while the rest of the incoming are the unknowns." Was what he was given. "We had done a search in orbit and found remains of a Covenant Destroyer on a fair sized Island. The scans show it's been their for a year however it seems to be built differently and not as well as normal Covenant warships. We may be dealing with a different group." The unit tells Forge.

Forge turns to the three in the CIC. "I'll be turning over command of the forces that I don't take with me over to you." He tells them. "This is in the event I die from fighting the Covenant. If that happens then at the very least you will be able to continue the fight with UNSC forces." He explains to them.

Twilight was going to protest will Luna spoke up. "Very well, but please do come back. We find you to be a dear friend." She tells him. Forge smiled at her for the two had been getting along very well.
"I'll try but no promises." He tells her. He left the CIC to ready himself for war.

Chrysalis left as Twilight looked at Luna. "Why let him go off and fight those things?" She asked her follow princess.
"We can tell he won't listen to us but that doesn't mean we can't help him." Luna tells Twilight explaining her plan to help.

At Manehattan

Dainn walked along the streets as the defenses for the city are put up pulling his slave behind him. He made it so that what happened wouldn't happen again or is at the very least would be costly to those metal ponies. He wanted this war to turn around and not end with the lost of his new kingdom. He'll be damned if his dream of the world being under his control and all females being slaves under the boot of males is lost to him. He wouldn't mind getting his hands on those things and use them, if he is able to have them under his command the world will be his for the taking.

"My king!" Was hear as a Caribou ran up to him. "Unknown airships and sea ships are sighted coming from the ocean! They don't match anything of the ones we know of plus flying machines similar yet different from the metal ponies are sighted as well! You may want to leave now my King." The Caribou captain tells Dainn.

"No. I won't leave unless we'll losing the city." Dainn tells him before pulling Celestia with him as he heads to the Northern base in the city in the event he has to flee.
