Winter always has its Rainbows

Christmas Eve is finally upon Canterlot, school is out, snow has fallen, and families get together. Currently, the Sweet Shoppe is closing soon and Blazing Waters is helping the Cakes with their holiday special, he was manning the front desk, while one of his best friends, Pinkie Pie, was in the kitchen.
While he was sweeping through his MyStable on his phone, he heard someone tap the bell on the desk, he turned around to see 2 familiar girls, Sunset Shimmer and Applejack.
“Hey girls.” Blazing said
“Hey Blazing.” Sunset said
“Howdy there Blazing.” Applejack
“What can I get for you two, you're our last customers before we close.” he asked
“We’ll have the usual.” Sunset asked.
“Alright, me and Pinkie will sit down with you since we’re about to close.” he said
“Okay, you know where we usually sit.” Applejack said with a chuckle as they paid and went and sat down
Blazing walked into the kitchen “Hey Pinkie, AJ and Sunset are here, they want what they usually have.”
“Okie Dokie Lokie.” she said in a slight giddy tone as she got two cups from the cabinet.
“Hey and also, could you get me a milkshake as well, I’ll pay of course.” he asked
“Sure, what do you want?” she asked
“Oreo with a mix of hot coco please.” he asked politely
“Okie Dokie.” she said with a smile
Blazing slipped off his work jacket, grabbed his normal jacket and slipped it on. He walked out of the kitchen, paid for his milkshake, and slid over the counter and walked over to the table Applejack and Sunset were sitting at.
“Got any room for another?” he asked as he hopped up on the armrest of the chair.
“So whats the plan AJ?” Blazing asked
“Well, first we’re gonna get the inside decorations ready, then we make the dinner and finally, we’ll open each others gifts, hopefully we’ll get it all ready before 5:30.” Applejack explained.
“Okay, me and Rainbow Dash will get there sometime around 6:30, since I promised to help her with her sports shop.” he responded. “Is it okay if I can bring my dog Meg over, so Winona has someone to play with.” he asked.
“Sure, it wouldn’t hurt to bring her along.” she responded
“Who’s thirsty for some milkshakes!?” Pinkie Pie said in excitement as she walked over to the table with their milkshakes, she had also made one for herself.
“Thanks Pinkie.” Sunset said. They all grabbed their drinks and started chatting for a little longer.
“You’re treating Rainbow Dash like a princess right?” Sunset asked Blazing.
“Of course I am, if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be sitting here, chatting with you gals, and I wouldn’t have gotten her this.” he said as he reached into his bag and brought out a small box.
He opened it, revealing a beautiful necklace with a cloud and rainbow lightning bolt and a pair of earrings, both with the rainbow lightning bolt.
“I saved up enough money to have a custom made necklace and pair of earrings, it was supposed to be a 3 month anniversary gift but it wasn’t finished when our anniversary came so I decided to make it a Christmas gift.” Blazing explained with a smile
The girls examined the jewels in awe for a few moments, until Sunset spoke up, “She is definitely gonna like this.”
Blazing closed the box and put it back in his bag “I know shes gonna love it.”
Just as he put the box back in his bag, his phone buzzed. He pulled it out and saw that Rainbow Dash had texted him.

“Merry Christmas babe, whats up?”
Blazing started to text her back while the girls were chatting with each other.

“Hey sweetheart, Merry Christmas, I’m over here at Sugar Cube Corner with Sunset, Applejack, and Pinkie, what are you up to?”
”Nothing much, just cleaning up the store, thats all, ur coming right?”
”Of course, as a matter of fact, I’m getting ready to go right now.”
”Okay, see u soon, love ya”
”Love you too.”
Blazing put his phone away and finished the rest of his milkshake.
“Alright, I’m heading over to the mall to help Rainbow Dash at the sports shop.”
“Okay, see ya at the Christmas party.” Applejack said
“See you all then.” he said
“Group Hug!!!” Pinkie says
They all gather in a group hug before releasing. Blazing picks up his bag, slips his gloves, coat, and scarf on before waving goodbye to the girls and making his way out the door to his car.
The drive was about 10 minutes until he made a right turn and the mall came into view. He pulled up in front it, got out, and locked it. He walked up to the door and opened it and entered the mall, he made his way up the escalator until the sports shop came in view, he entered it and saw his loving girlfriend, Rainbow Dash, in her usual sports shop uniform. Rainbow Dash looked over to the front door and was met with his red strawberry eyes.
“Babe!” she said in excitement as she ran up to him, jumped up on him and wrapped her arms and legs around him in a big hug.
“Whoa, hey sweetheart.” Blazing said as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back.
She gives him a peck on the lips before letting go of him and getting back on her feet.
“Merry Christmas, babe.” she said with a smile
“Merry Christmas, hon.” he replied
“We’re about to close, I wanted you to help me finish wrapping things up before we close.” she explained to him with a smile
“Okay.” he replies as he walks with her through the store.
“I can’t wait to go to Applejack’s house, we’re gonna have so much fun there.” he says.
“I know, its gonna be so awesome.” she says with a slight squeal.
“You know I think its cute when you do that right?” he says before wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
“I know.” she replies
They both continued organizing every thing else before they were able to close the shop up.
“Oh I almost forgot something, wait here.” she says.
Then in the blink of an eye, she zooms down to the back of the store leaving a rainbow trail
“Of course, that geode.” he says to himself has leans against the and begins to scroll through his MyStable.
Blazing waits for her patiently, while he waits, he starts thinking about all the things they’ve experienced together, going out to eat together, practicing soccer on the field at school, playing music, playing games, and cuddling. He smiled to himself at how much fun they’ve been through together.
Without warning, Rainbow Dash came back in the blink of an eye, holding a box with a ribbon tied around it.
“This is for you babe.” she says as she holds it out to him with a big smile on her face.
“Really?” Blazing asked as he takes the box and starts opening it.
“Merry Christmas sweetheart.” she says.
Inside the box was a blue and yellow soccer ball, when he took it out of the box and examined it, he noticed a heart with the letters “BW” and “RD” within the heart.
“Thank you so much.” he says as he wraps his lover in a loving embrace.
She returns the hug and wraps her arms around him and kisses his cheek.
After what felt like forever, they finally released their embrace and Blazing put the ball in his bag and they both started walking to the exit of the mall, together, hand in hand with their fingers interlacing.
“Hey Dashie?” Blazing said
“Yeah?” Rainbow said
“Could I ask you something?”
“Sure, whats up?”
They stepped off the escalator and started making their way to the entrance before continuing their conversation.
“You wouldn’t mind...um...staying over at my house until New Years, would you?” he asked hesitantly
She looked up at him for a second, before a big smile appeared on her face and she hugged him tightly and responded “Oh I would love to stay over.”
“Great, I look forward to having you over.” he said
“But first I need you to drive me home so I can let my parents know I’m gonna be staying at your house and so I can change clothes and get some things for the stay, is that okay with you?” she asked
“Alright, I’ll take you there.” he replied
They both walked out of the mall together to his car before getting in and driving to Rainbows house.
“You wanna come inside?” Rainbow Dash asked as they pulled up to her house.
“Um..sure.” Blazing responded, he didn’t feel very comfortable with meeting her parents. He has met them in the past but he still doesn't feel comfortable around them.
They both got out of his car and made their way to the front door, she opened the door and went inside and Blazing followed suite.
“MOM, DAD, I’M HOME, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU GUYS.” she shouted to them
“Alright sweetheart, we’ll be there in a second.” Windy Whistles, Rainbow Dashes mother, responded from upstairs.
They both sat in the dining room, right next to one another while they waited for her parents.
“I love you.” Rainbow Dash said to Blazing with a smile.
“I love you too.” he replied back with a peck on her lips.
Just then, Rainbow Dash’s parents walked in to the dining room.
“Hey Mom, hey Dad.” she said getting out of her chair and giving them a hug
“Hi sweetie, so what did you want to talk to us about.”
“Well, I was gonna let you guys know that I’m gonna be spending the rest of the year at Blazing’s house, I’ll be coming home on January 2nd.”
“Okay then, go get yourself ready for the stay, we want to talk to Blazing.”
“Okay, see you in a few.” she said as she ran upstairs to her room.
“So what did you guys want to talk to me about?”
“We wanted to thank you on being with our daughter and taking care of her with your life.” Bow Hothoof, Rainbow Dash’s father, said.
“Ever since she met you, she has never been more happy in her entire life, she talks about you non stop, it really makes us happy that you’re making her happy and that she loves you and that you love her.”
“You're very welcome, I'm doing the best I can." he said as he blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Take very good care of our daughter when she stays at your place, show her a good time.” said Windy
“Yes ma’am.” Blazing said
After Blazing answered Windy, Rainbow Dash started making her way downstairs with her bags ready.
“You ready to go sweetie?” Windy said.
“Yep, all packed up and ready to go.” she hugged them all goodbye, “I’ll see you guys at Applejack’s place.”
“You too sweetheart.” Windy replied. Rainbow Dash then made her way over to Blazing and walked out of the house over to his car.
They both waved goodbye as Blazing and Rainbow Dash waved goodbye back.
Blazing pulled up into his driveway before stepping out of the car, along with Rainbow Dash.
“I’m so excited for this week, its gonna be so awesome.” said Rainbow Dash
“I know, especially the christmas party at AJ’s house.” Blazing said
They both walked up to the front door and entered the house, the moment they entered, Blazing’s dog Meg jumped up from the couch and ran towards the couple.
“Hi Meggie!” Blazing said as he lied down on the floor to play with her.
Meg then turned and ran towards Rainbow Dash.
“Hey Meg.” she said as she started petting her.
Rainbow Dash put her bags down and slipped out of her socks and boots, they both hung out for a while until it was time to go to Applejack’s house.
“AJ wait up!” Blazing called out towards Applejack as she was about to close the door.
“Get in quick!” she yelled to them as she held the door open for them.
Blazing was carrying Meg in her kennel and Rainbow Dash was already in the house thanks to her geode. He finally got into the house and set Meg down.
“Wow, its snowing pretty fiercely outside.” Blazing said while panting heavily as he took his coat, gloves, and scarf off while Rainbow Dash followed suite.
“Good thing we made it in time.” Rainbow said.
“Everybody else is here.” Applejack said to the couple.
“So can I let Meg out now?” Blazing asked to Applejack
“Sure, go ahead.” Applejack responded
He opened Megs kennel, brought her out and started walking into the living room with her in his arms and Applejack and Rainbow Dash right behind him. He then noticed the rest of the girls, their siblings and their parents, including Rainbow Dash’s parents, even Spike, sitting in the living room talking to each other. They noticed the three and turn to look at them
“Hey guys.” Blazing said to them all. They all greeted the two.
“Oh is that your dog?” Twilight asked while pointing at Meg
“Yes indeed, it is.” Blazing replied as he sat down on one of the couches along with Rainbow Dash sitting next to him.
He slowly and carefully puts Meg down and she starts going up to everyone.
Soon Winona came in and they both started playing with each other.
“They seem to be getting along really well.” Blazing said
Everyone was in the living room, opening gifts, they had just finished up eating the christmas dinner.
“Hey hon?” Blazing said to Rainbow Dash
“Yeah, babe?” she replied
“This one is for you, its from me.” he said to her as he handed her a small box wrapped up in wrapping paper.
“Oh, thanks.” she said as she sat down next to him and started opening the gift, she finally unwrapped it, revealing a small jewelry box. Her eyes went a little wide when she saw the box and then opened. When she saw what was inside it, she gasped.
“B-Blazing...is this for me?” she asked as she looked at him with some tears of joy in her eyes.
He just nodded his head. She looked back the necklace and earrings.
”You wanna put them on?” he asked “Yeah, I do.” she replied
She took the box and went into the bathroom to put them on while Blazing waited outside for her. She then opened the door and stepped out.
“What do ya think?” she asked while posing for him.
Blazing blushed at how she looked. “Aw, am I to awesome for you.” she asked
“You look absolutely beautiful.” he replied
She giggled a little as he walked up to him and gave him a peck on the lips. “I love you” said Rainbow “I love you too.” Blazing replied.
“Merry Christmas sweetheart.” Blazing said
“Merry Christmas babe.” Rainbow replied
They both walked back into the living room and continued hanging out with everyone else.
"My goodness Rainbow Dash, you look so marvelous with that necklace and those earrings." Rarity said to Rainbow Dash
"Thanks Rarity." Rainbow responded
Soon when the couple sat back down on the couch, everyone started giggling. “Whats so funny?” Rainbow asked.
“Look up.” Sunset said to the both of them as she then started laughing.
When they did, they noticed Pinkie Pie hanging a mistletoe above them. They both blushed.
“Well, are you gonna kiss or what?” Pinkie said
They both looked into each others eyes and slowly connected their lips in a loving kiss.
Man was this party amazing.
Everyone was having a great time hanging out for a couple more hours, talking about what they have done over the year, Spike, Winona, and Meg were playing with each other, as the CMC were having fun with the dog, especially Blazing’s dog, all were having a good time, soon one by one they all left.
Soon Blazing Waters and Rainbow Dash were getting ready to go.
“Thanks for inviting us Applejack, we had a great time.” Blazing said as he sealed Meg in her kennel and got his coat gloves and scarf on as Rainbow Dash was doing the same.
“I’m glad you had fun, I hope to see ya’ll soon.” Applejack said as she gave him a hug and then moved to Rainbow Dash.
“We’ll see you guys later.” Rainbow said to everyone.
The two gave each and everyone a hug goodbye before walking to the front door.
Blazing picked up Meg’s kennel and everyone said bye to them as they all walked out the door to Blazing’s car.
“Hey, the snow has slowed down.” Blazing said
“Yeah, maybe tomorrow morning, we can play in the snow together?” Rainbow asked
“Sure, it wouldn’t hurt to play around in the snow.” he responded
The two entered Blazing’s house and they put all their gifts they received in the living room, Blazing set Meg down and let her out of her kennel.
“That was so much fun!” Rainbow said
“No kidding, Merry Christmas hon, I love you.” Blazing said
“Heh, I love you too.” she replied “Hey, could I change into my pajamas?” she asked as she started taking her boots off.
“Sure, go ahead, I was gonna go change as well.” he replied as he too started taking his boots off.
They both had switched into their pajamas and started playing games, playing with Meg, and cuddling. They we’re having a lot of fun ever since they got home. Right now they were playing the board game Clue.
“Hmmm, I accuse....Scarlet with the Rope in the Kitchen.” Rainbow said
Blazing grabbed the murderer envelope and opened it.
“You are correct, you win Dashie!” Blazing said
“YES!” she exclaimed
“You up for another game?”
“..*yawn*....I am a little tired but sure.”
Blazing grabs each deck of cards and shuffles the first 2, when he started shuffling the 3rd deck though, he started hearing....snoring? He turned and looked at Rainbow and realized that she was fast asleep.
“Well, she is the worlds greatest napper ever, thanks to her dad.” Blazing said with a chuckle
He got up and walked up the stairs and opened the door to his room, he then took the blankets off of the bed before exiting his room and walking down the stairs to his sleeping beauty.
“It is getting kinda late, I’ll put her in my bed then I’ll put all her gifts under the tree and then I’ll call it a night.” Blazing said to himself.
He carefully slips his arms around her and slowly picks her up, bridal style, and started walking up the stairs to his room, all while Rainbow was snoring cutely. Once he finally got to his room, he carefully placed her in his bed, laying her head on the pillow. When she was completely on the bed, he carefully brought the blanket over her, he then gently kissed her on the forehead before making his way back down the stairs to the living room.
He started putting the board game and it’s cards back in the box, put it back in the garage, walked into the closet in the living room, took all the gifts out and started putting all the gifts under the tree. He walked back a bit and examined the tree.
“She is gonna love this.” he said to himself
He started walking up the stairs and walked into his room. Rainbow Dash was still sleeping, snoring like the adorable athlete she is, Blazing was thinking about cuddling with her. “She just looks so relaxed and peaceful, maybe I shouldn’t disturb her, maybe I could make her breakfast tomorrow.” he thought to himself.
He grabbed a blanket from the closet in his room, kissed Rainbow on the cheek, causing her to giggle a little in her sleep. “Merry Christmas Dashie.” He walked back down to the living room and lied down on the couch with the blanket over him.
“Merry Christmas everyone.” is all he said before he allowed sleep to take over him as he drifted off into the dream world.

Winter always has its Rainbows
Rainbow Dash slowly opened her eyes as the sun shined through the window. She rubbed her eyes and scanned the room around her and realized where she was immediately.
Blazing Waters’ room
“How did I end up in his bed?” she asked to herself. She got out of the bed and started making her way to the door, opened it, slowly walked out of the room and made her way to the bathroom, she looked herself in the mirror and noticed she was still wearing the necklace and earrings he got for her, she then walked out of the bathroom and made her way downstairs. She entered the living room and saw that there were gifts under the tree. She smiled and moved down to look at the presents, all of them were for her, and they were all from him. Her heart fluttered at what she saw, she stood up and started walking into the kitchen.
When she entered the kitchen, she noticed that Blazing was cooking breakfast, she smiled when she saw him and slowly walked up behind before giving a surprise hug. She kisses him on the cheek before letting go of him, “Morning babe.” she said as she walks to the table and sits down. “Morning sweetheart, sleep well?” he asked
“Yeah, but can I ask you something?” she asked
“Sure, what is it?” he asked
“How did I end up in your bed?” she asked with a slight blush on her cheeks
“Oh well, I was shuffling the cards since you wanted to play one more game, but when I was shuffling the 3rd deck, you had fallen asleep, you were snoring so cutely.” he explained. This caused Rainbow Dash to blush a lot more after hearing him say how cute he thought her snoring was.
“Anyways, since it was getting pretty late, I decided I didn’t want to wake you, so I went up to my room and took the bed sheets off of my bed before going back downstairs and then....well....” Blazing began to blush slightly before continuing, “I carried you up to my bed room, bridal style, placed you in my bed and then put the blanket over you.” he explained
Rainbow Dash’s heart was fluttering from hearing how her boyfriend carried her to bed, bridal style.
“And when I got ready to go to bed, I was thinking about cuddling with you, but you seemed so peaceful and relaxed that I decided not to wake you.” he explained
“Heh, you didn’t have to do that for me Blazing.” she said as she couldn’t stop blushing.
“Of course I did, I love you with all my heart and you deserve to be treated like a princess, especially on Christmas, oh hey, your breakfast is ready.”
He took the spatula flipped her pancakes and placed them on her plate. “Do you want syrup?” he asked “Yes please. “ She replied. He opens the cabinet and grabs the syrup, takes her plate and brings them over to her and places her plate on the table and gave her the syrup.
“Thank you so much babe, I really appreciate this.” she said as she started pouring syrup over her pancakes, “No problem sweetheart.” he said as he pecked her on the lips. “When you’re done, you can open your gifts.” he said with a smile “Thanks babe.”
She started digging into the pancakes while Blazing went into the living room, sat on the couch, and waited for her. “These pancakes are amazing!” she exclaimed “I made them for you.” he told her.
She finished up her food and wiped her face off with a napkin before putting the plate and silverware in the sink, put the syrup in the cabinet, and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch and started cuddling him. She then looks over at the gifts, “So, do you want to start?” she asks “Sure, where do you want to start?”
“Last two.” Blazing said as he handed her 2 big presents, she had opened a lot more gifts and they were amazing, she got a picture of the cuddling in a frame so she could put it in her room, some video game merchandise that were from her favorite games, some clothing, a new phone case, and a new book bag. Blazing kept in mind that Rainbow Dash didn’t really like girly thing.
“They’re pretty heavy.” she said as set them down, “You’re gonna really like these, trust me hon.” he said with a smile on his face. She looked at both of them and reached for one of them and started to open it up, when she unwrapped a certain part, she noticed a blue color on the inside, then when she unwrapped it a little more, she saw the digits on the box that made her instantly realize what it was, “PS4” she quickly unwrapped it, revealing the PS4 box. She immediately lunged at Blazing with a loving hug and started kissing him repeatedly “Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!” she said with a huge smile on her face.
Blazing returned the hug and wrapped his arms around her, “No problem hon, I really wanted you to be able to have your own PlayStation 4 and you’ve always wanted one but you couldn’t afford it, so I thought I should get it for you this Christmas, it comes with a gold headset, two controllers and 500 GB of space.” he explained “Oh and the second gift is connected to the PS4.” he said.
Rainbow Dash then reached for the other gift and started unwrapping it, her eyes went wide and she gasped in excitement when she saw what it was, a PlayStation VR, she felt like she was gonna tear up. She hugged him as tight as she could, “Thank you so much babe, now we can play together, even when we aren’t at your house.” she said before kissing him on the lips. She pushes him down on the couch as they both continued to kiss.
Blazing then felt something push against his lips, he realized that it was Rainbow Dash’s tongue. He gladly allowed her inside as he pushed his tongue into her mouth. She moans into his mouth as they continued their little makeout session. His arms started traveling around her body, which caused her to moan a little into his mouth. His hands then found their way to her butt, giving it a few squeezes, causing her to moan a bit louder into his mouth.
She also started caressing his face, while her other hand slipped up his shirt, feeling is bare skin which caused him to moan a little into her mouth.
The need of breath overcome them as they both broke the kiss, “Now that......was awesome.” Rainbow Dash said
“You said it.” Blazing replied
“Thank you so much for all these gifts babe, I really don’t know how to thank you.” she said
“No need to thank me hon.” he said
They both cuddled for a little while on the couch in each other’s embrace before Rainbow Dash broke the silence “You wanna go play in the snow?” she asked
“Okay.” Blazing replied

Rainbow Dash felt something hit the side of her cheek, she looked at were it came from to see Blazing whistling and looking around, while holding his hands behind his back.
"Did you just throw a snowball at me?" she asked
"No, I wouldn't do that." he answered while snickering. "Was the snowball like this?" he asked before launching a snowball right at her, hitting her hip.
“Oh it is so on!” Rainbow Dash said as she started throwing snowballs right at Blazing after he had thrown the snowball at her. Almost all of the snowballs ended up hitting him, they both were having fun playing in the snow while Blazing’s dog was rolling around in the snow, “Good thing I put a coat on her.” he stated before going back to the snowball fight.
“That was so much fun babe.” Rainbow Dash said
It had been about an hour and a half ever since they had gone out to play in the snow. They had mad a snowman, snow angels and a snow heart with their names inside the heart. “You wanna go back in side?” Blazing asked
“Sure.” she replied
Blazing opens the door and lets Rainbow Dash and Meg go inside before following suite. “Hey hon, when you go back to your house, I would gladly help set up the PS4 and the VR for you.” he explained
“Thanks babe.” she responded as she gave him a hug
They both got their snow clothing off, then Blazing took Meg’s dog coat off before letting her roam the house freely. The couple then walked back to the couch in their pajamas, since they wore it underneath all their snow clothes.
“So what do you want to do hon?” Blazing asked
“How about we just cuddle and maybe watch some funny TV shows.” she suggested
They both continued the rest of the day in each others embrace while watching a funny TV show, Blazing had also made lunch and dinner for the both of them so they wouldn’t get really hungry.
It was 9:30 PM, they were watching the TV show “Worlds Dumbest”, laughing a lot at the celebrity cast member’s jokes and at the stupid things people where doing. When the episode ended, Rainbow Dash let out a mighty yawn.
“Honey, you feeling sleepy?”
“Yeah, but I think I ca-” before she could finish her sentence, she fell fast asleep.
Blazing couldn’t help but chuckle at how she fell asleep again, “Like her father said “Greatest Napper Ever”.” he said to himself “Well, looks like I’m gonna have to carry her to bed again.” he said as he turned off the TV, pushed the recliner closed, picked her up and started carrying her to bed.
When he got to his room, he opened the door, walked towards his bed and managed to move the blankets off the bed with his foot. He gently set her down on the bed and pulled the blankets over her.
He went back downstairs to go shut everything down before heading to bed himself. He turned off all the lights, closed all the windows, made sure every single door and window were locked, and put all of Rainbow Dash’s gifts into a safe closet before going back upstairs to get to bed.
He slowly and quietly opened the door, not to wake her up. He then quietly walked into the room before closing the door behind him. He walked over to the bed and slowly got into bed with her, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her on the forehead, which in return, made her giggle in her sleep.
“Merry Christmas hon, I love you.” he said before allowing sleep to take over him as he drifted off into the dream world, where his loving girlfriend would be waiting for him.
