It all started with a picnic. Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were having a quaint picnic at the park. They were mucnhing on Applejack's Apple Brown Betties. "I've got an idea, why don't we play truth or dare!" exclaimed Pinkie.
"Sounds good to me. Why don't you go first Applejack" said Twilight.
"Ok ya'll. I choose Rainbow Dash," said Applejack grinning mischievously, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth! Bring it on!" challenged Rainbow Dash.
"Would you rather have Nightmare Moon invade you wedding next month or King Sombra?" asked Applejack.
"Hard choice, but I'd say Nightmare Moon 'cause she is Luna, kind of, so we know how to handle her" Rainbow confessed, "You had to bring my wedding into this AJ!"
"Well, I can't wait for you to get married to Soarin!" Applejack said, "You pick now Rainbow"
"Rarity!" said Rainbow Dash, "Truth or dare?"
"Dare! I'll be brave!" said Rarity.
"I dare you to go ask Thunderlane out!" said Rainbow smirking.
"What! I don't even like him!" said Rarity, sweating anxiously.
"We all know you've been crushing on Thunderlane for a while" said Rainbow Dash.
"Fine..." said Rarity.
Later on the Friendship Express...
"Hi Th-Thunderlane" stuttered Rarity, trotting towards where Thunderlane was sitting.
"Oh, hey Rarity! Heading to Canterlot as well?" asked Thunderlane.
"Yep, I was just going to check in on Canterlot Carousel" explained Rarity.
"Speaking of, can you get this suit tailored please?" said Thunderlane
"Of course, you don't even have to ask!" giggled Rarity, "By the way, doing anything next Saturday?" asked Rarity, gulping nervously.
"Sure, see you at Restaurant Row, the Tasty Treat?" said Thunderlane.
"Sounds good, see you then. Oh here's my stop, bye!" hurried Rarity. As she dashed out of the train, she jumped up and down just like Pinkie. "Yes! I'm going out with Thunderlane. Oh, I have to tell the girls about this!" she thought, quickly telling them to meet at Canterlot Carousel.
15 minutes later...
"Rarity, is everything alright!" asked Twilight worriedly, "My day went badly, and I'm hoping yours is better!"
"No, everything's fine, where are the others?" said Rarity.
"Pinkie had to plan you 'first date' party, Fluttershy had to take Angel to the vet, Rainbow was with Soarin organising their wedding and Applejack had to get ready for the Zap Apple Harvest" explained Twilight.
"Wait- How does Pinkie know I asked Thunderlane out?" questioned Rarity.
"Pinkie Sense, and speaking of-OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ASKED THUNDERLANE OUT!" screeched Twilight.
Rarity was really surprised by this outburst. Twilight usually stayed calm and collected, amd seeing her this happy after a while was worth it. Her time was rough, with her break-up with Flash Sentry, and then now dating Sunburst, but she still had feelings for Flash.
"Darling, I'm so glad to see you happy after a while! And good you came, I need help picking out something to where!" squealed Rarity.
The pair went through all of Rarity's dresses until they found the perfect one. It was white silk, in a flowing way, with golden hemming and aqua lace and cuffs. It was gorgeous!
Saturday...
When Thunderlane and Rarity met up at the Tasty Treat, they were in awe of each other. Thunderlane's mane was shiny and smooth, and he wore a navy blue suit, along with a black tie and pearl white shirt. This was finished perfectly with a single red rose pinned on his collar.
Rarity looked just as amazing. Her mane was up in an elegant bun, and she had the 'Crystal Empire' look to it. Her silky smooth flowing dress was very posh, and the golden and aqua blended perfectly into the ensemble.
"Woah, Rarity, I know you always look great but you've outdone youself this time!" Thunderlane said.
"Thank you! And I think you just just as fabulous!" Rarity said giggling nervously.
"Hello again Rarity! What can I get for you and this fine stallion tonight?" asked Saffron Masala.
"I'll have a curry oat cake, what would you like Thunderlane?" asked Rarity.
"You can order for me" said Thunderlane.
"Well, we'll have a grass sandwich that has been marinated overnight in a mustard dijon dressing" said Rarity, "And the bills on me"
"No, no let me pay!" Thunderlane insisted He reached out towards the bill at the same time as Rarity. Their hooves touched for a moment, and they pulled back, blushing furiously.
"The gentlecolts always pay! So it's settled I am paying!" said Thunderlane stubbornly. Rarity opened her mouth the say something, but Saffron stopped her.
"You have done so much for my father and I Rarity. Take the food free of charge!" said Saffron.
"No way, at least let us pay some of it!" exclaimed Rarity.
"Fine, for you Rarity, I'll do 30% off" said Saffron, trotting towards the kitchen.
Rarity and Thunderlane chatted and laughed as they enjoyed their meal. It felt so good to just enjoy each other's company. As they parted ways, Rarity smiled, blushing, remembering her lovely time with Thunderlane, she had to tell her friends.
Next day...
"Hello girls!" said Rairty
"Wow, someone sure sounds happy!" noticed Applejack,"Did the date go well?"
"It was magical!" sighed Rarity. She spent most of the afternoon telling the girls about her amazing time with Thunderlane.
"Who knows Rarity, maybe you might be next to get married" joked Rainbow Dash.
"It's way too early for that, Dashie" said Rarity, blushing. The girls all laughed at Rarity as she glared at them.
Meanwhile...
Unbeknownst to the 6 friends, a small green and purple dragon had heard the entire conversation.
"I've had my eyes on Rarity for so long, and now this 'Thunderlane' dude is going to parade in a take Rarity? Not if I have anything to say about it" said Spike, growling. So Spike set off towards Thunderlane's house.
At Thunderlane's place...
Knock knock knock
"Oh, hey Spike, what's up?" asked Thunderlane.
"It's about time you and Rarity end" scowled Spike.
"What are talking about, we're not even an item! Just friends" said Thunderlane, blushing and gulping nervously.
"You won't be friends for much long either then" said Spike menacingly. A loud scream then echoes from Thunderlane's home.
The mane 6 and Thunderlane's neighbours rushed inside.
"Where's Thunderlane?" asked Rarity, distressed.
"Look" said Twilight.
She pointed at a single dark grey feather, alongside a purple scale.

I did mention making these two happen, so here it is! I know Spike isn't evil, but I like EVIL Spike, it's a different role!

As soon as Thunderlane woke up, he saw that he was surrounded in darkness. "Hello, where am I?" he called out.
"The caves beneath the Dragonlands, where ancient dragons hoarded their treasure, and now your prison!" cackled Spike.
"Help!" cried Thunderlane desperately, running around the cave.
"He he, it's no use, no one will hear you, or think to look for you here" said Spike. Thunderlane flew around trying to find a way to escape. But it was no use. Spike was right, there was no escape.
This is what you get for going out with Rarity thought Thunderlane. But it was worth it... He thought and moment later, sighing, remembering his wonderful time with her. Rarity was everything he hoped in a mare for and more. She was smart, beautiful, generous. Just like her element.
There relationship was over before it even started. All of a sudden, Thunderlane spotted a glimmer of light at the top. Maybe it was a way to escape! He flew up, but realised it was too small for escape. Hey, what's that? he thought, spotting a silver diamond encrusted ring.
All of a sudden, the entire cave started shaking. "Stop it! Drop that ring!" said Spike's voice.
Hm, looks like that ring controls Spike! realised Thunderlane. "What? this ring?" teased Thunderlane.
"Put that down!" growled Spike. Thunderlane waved the ring around furiously, and the cave rumbled, a loud bang, the cave exploded. When Thunderlane came out of the cave, he saw that he was in, Ponyville. Crime scene tapes were around his home, and police ponies were surrounding the scene. Some stallions wearing masks and armours, were entering his house. Outside, Rarity was in tears, sobbing. Thunderlane walked over to her and tried to console her. "It's okay Rarity, I'm right here!" he said.
But Rarity was still crying, as if no one had come up to her. "Hello?" Thunderlane asked. Rarity still went on crying. Mayor Mayor was talking to Princess Twilight, looking concerned. "Mayor Mayor, is this about my disappearance- because I'm right her now" said Thunderlane, worried. But the Mayor kept discussing with the Princess. Thunderlane ran across all of Ponyville. He saw Flash Sentry, directing search teams up in the clouds. "Flash, bro, what's going on?"
Flash just continued directing the flight teams. All of a sudden he fell through the cloud. "Why do I feel so, light?' he though. As the raised his hoof, he saw that it was transparent. He screamed, falling backwards, slam into a tree. And then everthing went dark
"Dude, you really need to build up your endurance" said a low voice. The blurry purple and green figure was no other than Spike, and they were in the Friendship Castle's most secret room. Thunderlane quickly got up on his hooves.
"Sorry bro, you're being replaced" explained Spike, the nasty sneer on his fave growing.
"Replaced? By who?" Thunderlane was confused. Out of the shadow, a dark grey Pegasus with ultra light sky blue mane flew from out of the shadows. "Eeup" said the second Thunderlane.
"Big Mac?Why?" asked Thunderlane, warily.
"Eeup" he replied.
"I threatened to kill his precious Sugar Belle if he didn't do this!" explained Spike.
Horror grew on the Fake Thunderlane's face, as he nodded hastily.
"Big Mac will go up their, break Rarity's heart and I will come on like a knight in shining armour and proclaim her love. Heart broken, Rarity will decide that I am the best for her! " Spike laughed maniaclly.
"You're a monster" spat Thunderlane. At that moment, Big Mac/Fake Thunderlane flew hurriedly to the door, followed closely by the real Thunderlane.
"Rarity, we cannot be an item, or even friends" started Thunderlane. Rarity's eyes welled up with tears.
"Stop, stop! "screamed the real invisible Thunderlane.
" I despise you" shouted Fake Thunderlane.
"Stop! I actually love you! I love you Rarity" cried the real Thunderlane.
"I heard someone say I love you Rarity? " murmured Rarity. "A stallion"
"No pony, no one!"shrieked Spike.
"I suppose you're right" dissapointment dripping from Rarity's voice.
"NO HE'S WRONG! I LOVE YOU RARITY! ME THUNDERLANE! I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING" yelled Thunderlane at the top of his voice.
"You're not the real Thunderlane!"cried Rarity, "My Thunderlane would never insult me like that!"
"My Thunderlane is over there" she said, pointing at invisible Thunderlane.
Slowly, golden light started radiating from Thunderlane, as his colour returned. Beaming, he ran to Rarity, and kissed her. To his surprise, Rarity kissed him back.
Spike was wailing and walking back home. And for Big Mac? He returned to his former self as well! "I love you too Thunderlane!" confessed Rarity, as they watched the sun set. Rarity rested her head on his shoulder, and Thunderlane wrapped his wing around her protectively.
"You know, this all started with a game?" Rarity whispered.
"I know... Rarity I have something to tell you" started Thunderlane.
"Shh, the night has just begun" interrupted Rarity.
"I guess I can wait to tell her" thiught Thunderlane, sighing wistfully.
Back at Twilight's castle...
"Hey Spike, you coming to Rainbow's wedding tommorow?" asked Twilight.
"Yep" said Spike absent-mindedly.
"Great! Just wanted to tell you that I'm going with Flash, so you'll have to go by yourself" said Twilight.
"You two are back together?" asked Spike, snapping out of his trance.
"No! We're going as friends- Just friends" Twilight said quickly.
"Whatever" Spike said.
"Wait! If I could brainwash Flash and get him on my side, Twilight won't stop me from doing whatever I have to to get Rarity-
Plus he's Thunderlanes's good frined and could help me get rid of him " thought Spike, grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Time to pay Mr Flash Sentry a visit"
