For millennia Celestia's mages had stopped invasions before they could begin, crushed rebellions before they could start and killed usurpers before they could plot. But now the seeds of treason has sprouted in one who threatens to split the ancient order in half as well as the kingdom. Meanwhile, a mage will have to stop a plot that would throw one of Equestria's most essential provinces into turmoil but finds herself surrounded by those that would stop at nothing to hinder her.
