In the one of houses wakes up very interesting couple. Octavia Melody, best cellist in Equestria, and Vinyl Scratch, well known DJ and party pony, just woke up after their 'midnight activities'. Octavia felt something wet on her neck. That was her own blood. "Vinyl, you did this again." Octavia sighed. "Sorry, Tavi, but you were pretty good last night, that I had to take a sip." Vinyl replied in a sleepy tone. Vinyl wasn't like normal ponies. She was over 1000 years old vampire. Unicorn mare admitted that to Octavia just after, when their relationship went on the next level. As always, Octavia, as a punishment for a 'little sip', took Vinyl's sunglasses and went to the curtained window, then opened it. "MY EYES!" Vinyl screamed in pain. As a vampire, Vinyl had a very good night vision, but her eyes are very sensitive and even a little sunshine makes her suffer. That's why she never takes off her sunglasses. "Tavi, for the love of Celestia, give me back my shades!" Vinyl begged. "I'm sorry for that bite. I was little thirsty." Octavia gave the sunglasses back. Vampire mare immediately put them on. "You know, that I accepting your vampiric needs, but I hate, when you drink my blood without my permission." Octavia said with anger. "Sorry about that. Besides, your bowtie perfectly covers the bites." Vinyl said little jokingly. Octavia made a little smile. After a while, both mares went down to the kitchen, to make some breakfast. It was simple breakfast: scrambled eggs with chive, toasts, strawberry jam and orange juice. Today, for a couple, was a very special day. It was their first anniversary. Before breakfast, they gave each other a simple gift. Octavia got a new fiddlestick for her cello and Vinyl got a new pair of headphones. "So, do you have any plans for today, Tavi?" Vinyl said with a mouth full of scrambled eggs. "Well, I have a concert in Canterlot Philharmonic this afternoon. What about you, Vinyl?" "Well, Pinkie makes another of her parties and, as always, I'm the music mare. Afternoon, like you." "Why do you ask, actually?" Octavia asked, curious. "Because, I booked us a table for two in... 'Château Soleil'." Vinyl said with little blush of embarrassment. Octavia choked with orange juice. "You booked a table in the most fancy and elegant restaurant in the whole Equestria?" "I hooked her up with that all Shining Armor." Octavia's jaw dropped. "You hooked up a princess with the captain of the Royal Guard?" Octavia said in much bigger shock. "In those days, he was only a cadet and she was a babysitter." Octavia decided to let the topic go and end the breakfast. After the fact, someone knocked to the door. Vinyl opened it. It was Derpy Hooves, on her mailmare duty. She gave Vinyl a letter and left. Unicorn walked to the living room, where Octavia was reading a newspaper. "I got a letter." Vinyl said. "From who?" "I don't know. There's only one way to see." Vinyl opened the letter with one of her fangs and started to read it. Dear Big Sis, It's been about 50 years, since we've seen each other. I've heard, that you're a famous DJ right now. You can learn many things, when you travel around Equestria for the whole life. Anyways, I want to make you a visit in your house in Ponyville. I will stay for a few weeks, then I will left with Serenade. Maybe you found someone, who has a music talent, like we and our parents. I will be in Ponyville tomorrow evening. Meet me at the train station. Hope to see you soon. Your little brother. Moonlight Lullaby. When Vinyl read the letter, she made a scream of happiness. "MY LIL' BRO IS COMING TO PONYVILLE!" Unicorn screamed. Octavia heard from her girlfriend, that she has a younger brother named Moonlight Lullaby. He was adopted, just like her, and turned into a vampire, when he was adult. It's normal for vampires, because they are sterile. She also told about his special talent and his flute, Serenade. Vinyl was jumping around the room. Literally. She was not only on the floor, but also on walls and ceiling. She was very excited to see her little brother again. Octavia was also excited about that. She wanted to see by herself his flutist abilities. "I'll go prepare the guest room." Octavia said with smile. "Is coffin a necessary?" "No, he sleeps in normal bed, like me. I will check, if we still have some blood. You know the vampires' tradition." "Yes. If vampire guests another vampire, he or she must be welcomed with a glass of blood, or else he or she can't enter into the house." "You're a really quick learner." Vinyl said little surprised. Octavia kissed the vampire's cheek. "I have a good teacher." Earth mare joked a little. On the one of streets in Manehattan was walking a white, unicorn stallion, with sunglasses, silver, short mane and cutie mark in the shape of the flute. His name is Moonlight Lullaby. Next to him was mare with gray coat and long, scarlet mane, wearing a jacket and also a pair of sunglasses. Her name is Nocturnal Echo. Officially, earth pony with blindness. Privately, a bat pony, hiding among the others. She was Moonlight's fillyfriend. They both knew their secrets and they kept them. They both were coming back to their rented apartment, to prepare for their trip to Ponyville. "I'm very excited to finally meet your sister." Echo said. "And I'm tired of this hiding." "Don't worry, sweetie." Moonlight said calmly. "Viny wrote me, that Ponyville is place for every kind of ponies. Besides, they see bat ponies almost every night, because they are close to the Canterlot, where bat ponies are Princess Luna's night guards." "I suppose, you're right." Just in front of the skyscraper, Moonlight heard mare's scream. Echo heard that either and she sighed. "Please, don't play hero again." She said worried. "Nah, I won't. I don't care anymore about that city. Besides, I'm not hungry." His voice was little cold. "You're a jerk, when you're hungry." She said bored. "You can go. But, don't forget about hypnosis." Moonlight smiled, kissed Echo in the forehead and ran to the source of the scream. In one of the dead ends was mare attacked by unicorn stallion with knife. Moonlight sneaked behind him and bit him into the neck, drinking all of his blood, leaving only dry corpses, what, after a while, turned into dust. After feeding, he went to the mare, took of his sunglasses, revealing his magenta eyes, and look into mare's eyes. By hypnosis, Moonlight cleared mares memory from last ten seconds. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Y-yes." The mare said, in little shock. "Where is that mugger?" "He stunned you and tried to escape, but I stopped him and took him on the police station." "Oh, thank Celestia. Thank you for help. Is that... blood in the corner of your mouth?" Moonlight cleaned the rest of his meal. "He hit me, but I'm fine. I gotta go, my fillyfriend is waiting for me." "She's so lucky, that she has so brave coltfriend." "Yes. She is." Moonlight came back to his apartment, where already was Nocturnal Echo, packing her things. She wasn't wearing a jacket and sunglasses, anymore. It revealed her bat wings and bat, lavender eyes. It also revealed her cutie mark, echo wave on the night sky. "Full?" She asked. "Yeah. He had low level of potassium, but it's fine. I ate a banana today." Vampire joked. "Good. Now, help me a little. I don't have horn, like you." Moonlight help his fillyfriend with packing and ended just at noon. Rest of the day they spend in apartment talking. The next day, they made their way to the train station.
