Accepting Two Jobs At Once
Pinkie Pie should have never agreed to watch everyone's pets, that was her first mistake. If watching everyone's pets wasn't bad enough then maybe agreeing to watching the twins was her second. But the worst thing was the fact she would be watching them at the same time... Pinkie sighed, looking out of the window. She was waiting for Flutter Shy to show up. Soon enough, the door bell rang and Pinkie Pie rose up from her chair and trotted over to the door.
Pinkie opened the door and she was greeted by the familiar face of her yellow Pegasus friend. Hello. I brought everyone over here. Thank you so much for agreeing to watch them. I don't know what I would have done without you." Flutter Shy gushes and gives Pinkie Pie a grateful smile as Flutter Shy hugs her. Pinkie Pie grins weakly, and Flutter Shy lets go of her friend.
"No problem! I am always happy to help, Flutter Shy." Pinkie smiled, and her pink curls bounced as she did. Pinkie's gaze shifted to the animals behind her. "Tank, Owlowisous, Gummy, Opalescence, Winona, and Angel..." Pinkie Pie mumbled, counting them all. Pinkie grins at Gummy, happy that her pet could make it. Pinkie decides to thank Flutter Shy later for taking care of him.
"Yeah, there all here." Flutter Shy says smiling. "Isn't it great, guys?" Flutter Shy says, now addressing the animals while they glared at her. Angel especially. Angel was giving her a death glare. "I can death glare too. Remember?" Flutter Shy whispers to the animals and it is barely audibly, but after a moment Angel stops and looks down. "Anyhow, have fun and thank you so much!" Flutter Shy called out before she trotted away to her cabin, again.
"Okay guys! We are going to have a super fun time and stay away from the Cake twins, okay?" Pinkie Pie asks. Pinkie Pie opens her snout to continue but is cut off by the sound of the doorbell. "I wonder who it is now..." Pinkie chirps and bounces to the door. She opens it and sees Mr. Cake. Her smile disappears. "Hello... are they -?" Pinkie tries. "Behind me. PUMPKIN! POUND! Go inside with Pinkie." Mr. Cake commands the twins, laughing. They grin and wander into sight, coming out from their hiding place behind him.
He offers a weak smile as the twins enter. "Well... have fun then. And thank you so much. We have a big meeting with the town, and we can't bring the twins." He calls out quickly before leaving.
Pinkie turned around to see the twins have disappeared. "Pumpkin, Pound! Where did you guys go? Oooh! Are we playing a game? I like games!" Pinkie exclaims and begins to search for the twins. She wanders into the kitchen. "Are you guys here?" She asks and scans the room before heading into a different one. Pinkie bounces upstairs and explores all the rooms there before heading back downstairs. She walks into the living room to find the twins playing with every pony's animals. "Aww! You guys are so adorable!" She exclaims and smiles, her worry slowly drifting away. She scans the room. "Hey guys! Do you know where Angel is? It's okay. You guys can play while I look for him in the meantime!" Pinkie Pie reassures before heading into the kitchen to begin her new search for Angel.
"Okay, where would I be if I was a clever rabbit?" Pinkie wonders, aloud. Pinkie Pie bounces towards the counter. She spots Angel eating a carrot. "Angel! You aren't meant to eat right now! Flutter Shy told me that you guys had a schedule to attend to, when I was talking with her yesterday." Pinkie tries to take the carrot away. "Hey!" Pinkie yelps as Angel grabs the carrot and darts away. Pinkie Pie's ears perk up, detecting a noise. "Is someone crying?" Pinkie asks, in alarm and rushes to the living room. Her eyes scan the room again. "Where are you guys?" Pinkie asks and leaves the room, not finding anyone, as the cries become louder. Pinkie's dread and fear, slowly building up, as she can't find any of the animals or the twins.
Pinkie Pie runs outside to find that the twins are on the roof. "How did you guys even get up there?! Can you guys actually fly that high?" The twins notice her and stop crying. "Come on guys! You can do it! I will catch you if you guys fall too. Just fly down. Look, the animals are playing hide and seek and we are the seekers so, you need to come down to help me find them." Pinkies calls out and tries to convince them. She pauses for a moment, thinking about something. I know where Gummy is!" Pinkie exclaims, suddenly.
The twins study her and exchange looks with each other before nodding. Pound readies his wings and Pumpkin tilts her head down to the ground. Pumpkin begins to levitate and Pound flies down with ease. Pinkie bounces in circles, happily. "You guys are so amazing! I know it took forever for some ponies to learn how to fly and use magic, but you guys are incredible!" Pinkie gushes and hugs the Cake Twins. They start laughing. Pinkie Pie pauses. "Okay, let's go find your animal friends! But first, Gummy." Pinkie exclaims, happily and bounces inside. Pinkie gestures the twins to follow her and they obey, as Pinkie heads upstairs. Pinkie walks into her own room and spots Gummy, immediately. The twins clap and rush over to Gummy's side. Gummy bites Pound's ear and hangs on to it while the twins squeal with joy. Pinkie sighs with relief as she remembered that Gummy doesn't have any teeth.
Pinkie Pie knew one thing as she was studying Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake, as well as Gummy. This was going to be one of the longest weekends of her life. And if Angel, Gummy, Pumpkin, and Pound weren't enough to be worrying about, she still needed to take care of the other animals. But to do that, she would have to first find them in one of her favorite games, Hide and Seek.
