Ultimate Sacrifices

Legend has it, thousands of moons ago, the famed Starswirl the Bearded woke from a fitful slumber, with eyes of glowing white and deafening screams of terror. He had just had a horrific vision, one that pained him to even think about. These were the words he uttered, as recorded by witnesses — yet, mysteriously, nopony has ever documented the final line, and it remains a mystery to this day. The first eight of nine lines read:

Six empty vessels, waiting to be filled,
Authors of their destiny’s bloom,
Carved between fate and their own free will,
Rewrite the roads to Equestrian doom,

I see the future, of which there is none,
For nopony will escape the death that beckons,
In the end, to save the sun,
Choose the six to find the seventh…

Not even the wisest of ponies have deciphered this myth. It is unlikely anypony ever will.
