Getting Serious
A Morning Discussion
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAnother morning arrived in Ponyville and like they had been for the past three months, Twilight and Starlight woke up in a tight embrace. Once they both were fully awake they gazed into one another's eyes with a look of love. Both felt blessed and happy to finally have somepony who loved them but that day was not a normal day and Starlight knew it. She gave Twilight a kiss before saying, "Happy 2,160th hour anniversary sweetie!"
Twilight laid there wondering what Starlight was talking about. She asked, "2,160 hours?"
Starlight replied, "Twilight, it has been ninety days since we became a couple, 2,160 hours of us being together."
Twilight laid there in a state of shock. While she had always been the type to keep track of things such as weeks, months and years since something happened, never once had she tracked things all the way down to hours. She continued to lay there, going over the figures in her head and realized that Starlight was right. She pounced on top of her and exclaimed, "That's right Starlight!" She calmed down and asked, "Starlight, why would you keep track of something like that, all the way down to the hour?"
Starlight replied, "Twilight, you and I becoming a couple was the best thing to ever happen to me, it was the happiest moment of my life." She rolled on top of Twilight and continued, "And with things that important, I keep very good track of it!"
Both mares were hungry and their stomachs were rumbling. As badly as they both wanted to just lay in bed and turn this moment into an all day event, they knew that they had to get up because not only were they hungry, but Spike likely was as well. As they crawled out of bed they gave one another seductive smiles and Starlight asked, "So Twilight, what do we have planned for today?"
Twilight was definitely happy that things with Starlight were going well and that she did love her a lot, something was also troubling her heart. She replied, "Well I was thinking that after breakfast, we could do some studying and then we could talk about something important, very important."
Starlight gave Twilight a nervous look at first but then figured that whatever it was, that it couldn't be anything really bad since Twilight's behavior had not changed much. She replied, "Alright, that sounds like a plan." Her stomach grumbled louder and she continued, "But what do you say we go downstairs and get some breakfast?"
Twilight nodded in agreement and the two headed downstairs, walking close like they had been ever since they became a couple. For the past three months, they had always been a bit later getting downstairs for breakfast than they used to be and given that Twilight normally fixed their breakfast, their tardiness was not sitting well with Spike. When they arrived, Spike gave them a slight glare and asked, "Where were you two? I know you're later getting up these days but you're even later than normal!"
Starlight gave Twilight a kiss and replied, "Well today is a special day for us."
Twilight added, "It is our 90 day anniversary!"
Spike could tell that they were likely going to be overly sappy and emotional that day. He gagged, "Ugh, it's going to be one of those days, isn't it?" Both mares turned a deep red prompting Spike to continue, "Well I guess I know what I'll be doing today." His mood brightened a bit as he finished, "Maybe Rarity will need help finding gems today! She usually does every thirty days!"
Starlight and Twilight gave one another a smile before turning to Spike. Twilight replied, "Well that is good because we are going to need the castle to ourselves, all day!"
Starlight knew about how Spike had spent extra time at Sweet Apple Acres in the past and added, "Perhaps you could see if you could spend the night with Applejack because we need our privacy tonight too."
Twilight added, "That is a wonderful idea Starlight!"
Spike sighed, "Ugh, I hate to think what it is going to be like when you hit your one year anniversary."
Both mare blushed deeply before Twilight giggled, "Well when that time comes, we may just go out of town for a week."
Starlight added, "Preferably somewhere that we can be miles and miles away from anypony else."
Despite it still being nine months away and knowing there was no guarantee that they would still be a couple by then, he knew what they would likely do, things that no baby dragon should even have to think about, much less know about. He very quickly wanted to change the topic of conversation and asked, "So, what is for breakfast?"
Twilight replied, "Well I'm thinking that perhaps eggs, hay sausage, waffles and cider sound good."
Starlight added, "I think that sounds great!"
Spike sighed, "I guess that is ok but I wish that we had some gemstones." He then remembered that he would hopefully get to see Rarity that day and continued, "Maybe if Rarity goes out looking for gems, I can have some to eat."
Twilight replied, "Yeah, perhaps she will." Something then crossed her mind, she decided she wanted a private breakfast with Starlight so she grabbed some bits, gave them to Spike and suggested, "Tell you what, how about you go to the cafe for breakfast." She gave Starlight a seductive smile and continued, "With it being our ninety day anniversary, I'm thinking Starlight and I should start our alone time early."
Starlight returned the look and giggled, "I think that sounds like a great idea!"
Spike however, was not so thrilled. This had been happening more often lately, them sending him out so they could have some alone time. He sighed, "You know what, I don't know why you even keep me around anymore! It seems like you have immersed yourself so much in Starlight that nothing else matters." He raised his voice and continued, "You don't even spend that much time with your friends anymore and you're the Princess of Friendship!"
While the two mares could understand Spike's frustration, they were wanting him to get going. Twilight pointed her hoof towards the door and asked, "Spike, I get where you're coming from but could you get going? Starlight and I want some alone time."
Spike threw his hands up in the air and sighed, "Fine!"
Spike slammed the door on the way out, clearly frustrated. Once he was gone, Twilight moved right next to Starlight, wrapped her tail around hers, put her wing around her and asked, "Are you ready for today?"
Starlight asked, "Twilight, we've been taking things slow......"
Twilight gave her a kiss and interrupted, "Well I'm thinking we could do some studying today and try something new. We've been together for ninety days, I think we can do more and it will be special."
Starlight could understand where she was coming from and did secretly want to do more, much more. She gave her a seductive smile and replied, "That sounds good to me Twilight, very good!"
When Starlight agreed with her, Twilight was very happy. She was sick and tired of merely them wrapping their bodies together and engaging in hours long make-out sessions. She wasn't sure exactly how far Starlight would be wanting to go but she really hoped that she would want to go far, very far, perhaps as far as they could.
