You should be heading home now." "Yeah, I know. Just... Looking for my sandwich." I replied, searching the fridge for the little nutrition replenishment doubtedly. Honestly, I doubt it's still in there. Dash probably took it cause she forgot to make herself one this morning, and didn't take my own thought into consideration. Dummkopf. "Yeah... Doubt it's in there hon." The director rub the back of his neck anxiously, as I sigh, and knock over Rarity's can of soda due to my clumsy hooves. Oh well. "You already know today we had to get you ready bright and early for the 12:00 recordings." I raise my eyebrows. 12:00 is not early in anypony else's standards, and this certainly is no exception. I mean, sure it's early for anyone else on this crew, but for me it's like sleeping in every day. Which is, like, the only thing I currently enjoy about my job. Unless I took my salary into account, which is my only compensation for the horse crap I deal with everyday. "Yeah. I guess I should be heading off then." My bags hang to my side, and I nervously glance at the clock hanging off the wall, completely forgetting the date I have in an hour and a half. "Ah. Take care then. Oh, before you leave, I need you to take this edited version of Rarity's skit to her. The script designer forgot to add a tiny detail to the part where her and Ember try to one-up one another." "What?" I ask in confusion. "Oh yeah, the shooting studio will be closed tomorrow, and Rarity needs to study her lines for a part of the next episode. We're compiling the first half of it now, and we should have the full thing ready by Saturday. Those humans'll love it." He smirks. "Yeah... I wonder what they're television shows look like." "Probably not as good as ours, obviously." "Huh. Something to talk about, I suppose. See you tomorrow, sir." I call, trotting to the exit. "Tschau, Twilight." I sigh, rolling my eyes. He speaks a bit of Dutsch too, so every time he yells something at me out the door, it is usually just that. Dutsch. "Auf wiedersehen, du." I reply, opening the exit and being met with a bright flash of light. Wow... only a couple of hours inside can seriously mess up your perception of light. I guess I'm just going to have to order something from the restaurant my date and I will be attending, because I'm seriously hungry right now. Dash really can be quite the jerk, so long as you aren't watching her. It really makes it hard for me to act friendly to her on the set. And that goes for everyone else, too. They all treat me like crap, and I let them. Trotting down the street, I veer to the side to avoid another Alicorn, who looks quite busy as she runs full speed towards another building. She stops suddenly, as her eyes meet mine. "Er, hello. I presume you are Twilight, correct?" She asks me. I study her very quickly, wondering whether she's the mare who I'd be dating tonight. Her mane is the color of blue, with streaks of velvet dotting her body. Her eyes are the color of hazel, and she is quite pretty... But not the mare who I would be meeting. "Um, yeah, yeah. That's me. Is there anything you need?" I ask, eyeing the bagel shop across the store. "Yes, I actually was sent here to ask for your voice." "What?" I ask, confused. Now, I can understand people asking for an autograph on the street, I am very popular here in Equestria after all. But this... This is a bit weird, and I seriously need to get home and get dressed. Walking around without clothes is fine, but I just want to be very formal about this. "Well, BitbyBit Studios, a video game design team needs somepony to act as the voice for a human. You were our first pick, but we have others to do it if you can't." She eyes the building she was originally heading towards, before shooting a nervous 'hurry up I have to go' type of look. Not sure how I could explain it. "Er... I'm very sorry miss. I have a date in literally an hour, and my schedule is busy enough as it is, and I'm not willing to sacrifice my sleep schedule to fit yours." I explain, eyeing her. "Oh... Yeah, that's fine Twilight. If you change your mind just... Find me in that building there." She points to the structure in front of her, before dashing towards it. Weird. Making my way home, I remember the script for Rarity. Crap. Letting in a deep sigh, I take a right rather than a left and head towards her giant house, before nervously knocking on the door. "Rarity... It's me, Twilight." The door opens practically instantly, and a tired Sweetie Belle stares at me with a raised eyebrow. "Um, you kinda just interrupted me and Scootaloo's game. We're in the middle of a For Glory match you know, and as I'm talking to you we're about to lose. Can you make this quick?" She says yawning, before leaning on the doorway. Huh. Usually she's pretty cheerful with me. "Yeah, is Rarity home?" I ask, pawing the script in frustration. I need to change my clothes, and NOW. "Um... Yeah. She's in the master bedroom, and for reasons I am not allowed to discuss. She has the door locked, so when she comes out I can tell her what you wanted her to know." "Oh, it isn't that Sweetie Belle. The director just forgot to give her back the script for tomorrow." I hold it out to her. "Ah." She takes it and glances over it quickly. "Yeah, looks good. I'll give it to her when shes done getting off." She says casually. "I'm not sure if you're saying that as a joke, Sweetie..." I respond, sort of grossed out. "Oops. Guess I let that one slip." Sweetie Belle shrugs before giving me a friendly wave goodbye. At least Rarity's sister isn't a dick. At least, not to me she isn't. Eventually, I find my way a couple of blocks away at the front of my house, before fumbling for my keys. My house is just as luxurious as Rarity's, but... It doesn't seem as lively. It's just sorta... bland, some might say. Maybe someday I might make it look a little nicer. Running up to my room, I slip on my dress I bought the night before, and fashion my mane. Not to brag, but I look pretty good. Beautiful. Nopony but me and my date know that I'm gay, so this is a bit nerve-racking. If a news reporter sees me, they're going to have a lot of news on me and her. I just want to finally meet her, and tonight is perfect for it. Smiling, I am content with my current style. And I certainly can not wait to meet her. The restaurant is quite elegant. Marble pillars hold up the ceiling, a fountain resides towards the midst of it... I'm excited, of course. I'm finally going to meet her... A waitress escorts me to my table happily, takes my drink order, and runs off to talk to a food server. Strange... she isn't here... "Hello." I jump in my seat from shock, and swivel around to come face to face with... A human? They aren't allowed in Equestria! "Um, sorry if I startled you... I was just wondering if the seat across from you was taken?" The human points at the exact chair where my date was supposed to be. My mouth stumbles for words, as I try to let him know that is where my marefriend is sitting. He instead takes a seat anyways, and smiles gently at me. "My name's Shinoki. And you?" He asks, leaning his face on his fist. "Y-you aren't supposed to be here in Equestria!" I exclaim. Humans are a huge no-no, they are a huge threat and could easily destroy us all. He looks at me with a confused look, before nodding. "Oh yeah, huh. No, I have special permission here. I'm supposed to be like, an exchange student you could say. I'm here to teach about humans and learn a bit about you guys." He explains. "Yeah... That's neat I suppose. My name's Twilight by the way." I reply, glancing over his shoulder searching for her. "That's a nice name. Who ya waiting on?" He asks. I study the human half-heartedly, and notice he's asian. His eyes are the color of blue, and his hair is pitch black. He looks about my age... Young. 23 maybe? A bit older than me, obviously. He smiles when he sees me observing him. Awkwardly, my eyes shy away from him. "My date. She- I mean... He... He's running late." Shinoki raises his eyebrows, before promptly sighing. "Yeah, I was all alone here, I don't have a date. I mean, my pony tutor could act as my date, but she's busy striking it up with my friend Yuri." I smile slightly, as he rolls his eyes. "I mean, come on. If you are going to hit on my best friend, at least do it when I'm out of the room!" "Wait, so your tutor is a stallion?" I ask. "No, she's a mare." "Oh." I wonder if this human doesn't like lesbian ponies...? I mean, what does it matter? He doesn't look interested in me, and I'm not interested in him. He's a human for crying out loud! "I can get out of your hair whenever your date gets here. I'm sure you'd rather to talk to him than me, anyways." He shrugs, before taking a sip of water from a glass that I didn't even notice had arrived. Biting my lip, I again look over his shoulder... And see my date still isn't here. "Nah... You can stay here Shinoki. I'd rather talk to you than sit here by myself, anyways." He smiles, before beginning a rant about japanese culture. And thus marked the day we began dating, a pony and a human. How strange... Huh! And I knew, me and him were going to be the best of companions. He was all mine. Author's Note Hi! I'm Twilight. All of the stuff you've been reading is my diary, so if you aren't me, Twilight, stop reading. Today me and Shinoki met, and the weird thing was, nopony ever showed up for my date. I guess that shows we were meant to cross paths simply by destiny. That night, me and him did some fun stuff, and he slept in my house that night. Even better, in my bed! Not sure if we are going to click immediately or if he'll meet somepony else... Either way... I really like him. But so does my coworkers. This isn't good. It isn't good at all. I... I'll write more about it soon.
