Hey, I'm kinda new to this whole thought recording thing, where I'm from, we never even had books,we just listened silently to the stories our queen would tell, and listen with much fascination. Any who, I'm Dart. I'm from the outskirts of Equestria, and lived with my species. Its been approximately two years since I moved to Ponyville, and I absolutely love it. Just a few days ago, I met amazing friends, two that even saved me from being captured by some scientist-pony, I guess. Full story? My magical seal, to disguise me as a regular pony, to you know, hide my furred ears, deerlike tail and transparent wings, yeah... I was dumb enough to forget to renew the spell. It had drained my magic for the past two years, and while I was off picking berries in the Everfree. It just so happened, a few hunters were searching for Manticores, and my seal just had to wear off, then. They immediately sensed sudden magic change in the area, and then I was, in the chase. One advantage, without the seal, I had more of a reach towards to natural abilities, so I was sprinting several yards ahead. Arrows were being flung, and soon, some others joined in the chase. I nearly stumbled over a root, my eyes able to catch it before my hoof collided with it, and leapt right over it. Behind, I could hear several stumble, and turned back forwards to see a small opening in the dirt. A small trench. I quickly unfurled my wings, believing I'd outsmarted them. Wrong. Two happened to be pegasi, and they were on my tail. I landed quickly, realizing I was more overpowered on all fours. Then blasts erupted the air. They were shooting ener-darts at Dart, nice. Anyway, I was to nervous, running for my life, until I skidded off the edge of a cliff, expecting to plummet to my death, only to be saved my a pink earth-pony and a punk-rock pegasus. Their names... Cupcake and Luna. First friends I'd ever met.. They'll always have that special place in my heart. I really enjoyed their company, that day, Cupcake 'accidentally' offending Luna's accent by constantly asking "Huh?" But shed gotten over it quickly. And Cupcake learned to listen more carefully. On that note, let me mention how I learned how amazingly stubborn Cupcake was? Erm, back in track.... We walked and talked for a while, nothing too exciting really took place, until Luna surprised us by writing a song for us. I still remember every word... After that, we became close friends, and Cupcake took us to this amazing place where we could simply just purchase food. Ah, a restaraunt... And the food was fantastic. Lots of sweets and stuff I never even heard of. That's when this skateboarder, being tailed by a black earthpony, slammed into our table, nearly got a concussion. Her friend had to pry her board out from under a seat, which came out covered in food stains. She eventually raised her head to apologize for ramming into us like that. And i was probably first to notice she was certainly different. She was...strange, to say the least. For starters, she was half zebra. Her body was coated in grey stripes, overlaying her light pink fur. Her muzzle was bandaged, and her mane was certainly uncared for. The other one, on the other hoof, had smooth, peach-smelling neon hair, that covered half her face. She had amazing bright, pink eyes and around her neck was a matching pink, expensive headphone set, that Luna began to pout about why she should've had it, how she never got it when she begged for it every Christmas, or something... I finally snapped after twenty-eight complaints. When the desserts were finally ready, the two dove in like hungry animals, not like I was unused to it or anything. Luna and Cupcake had a drink off, to see who could chug down the cider fastest, for a free ice cream cone. Cupcake won, so Luna miserably trotted off to buy her the frozen dessert. When she returned, she told me about her obsessions with music, and this 'Spicy Potato', she calls it, or in English, really good-looking singer named... Hmm, named Peko or Piko or something like that... To be honest, I couldn't care less. The only thought that ran through my mind was, "Oh my gosh! I'm finally included in something!" Yeah, heh... I had fun.... We chatted for what seemed like hours, just living the moment, having fun... Like we were supposed to. And before we all knew it, we had shared a table, and became greater friends. Neon, the black earth pony, had asked for permission to invite a few friends over with us while we took a walk around the park, that night. Lilac, an overly dramatic unicorn, soon accompanied our walk, Neon complaining about her back-up DJ and a stallion with flawless hair that she refused to admit was her boyfriend, couldn't join us. Her 'friend's' name was.... Rain Beat, I believe. From what Neon tells me, they've worked together for three years. She works in several dance clubs during the night with Rain, Draco Beat, and this insane rapper, PaintSplash, who's a professional graphiti artist. Neon also raps, but she hates to admit that she needs a bit more practice. Only Rain could convince her. But back to us, we grew pretty close pretty quickly. It was until today that we decided to become a club. We recently agreed on a name, rejecting 'The Pegasisters' (which Kora, the zebra, hesitantly mentioned was taken), or 'The SaddleSisters'. After hours of trial and error, we agreed on this one; the Saddle Club. So...here we are? I guess this is the beginning of a new adventure, and a new diary. I cant wait, thinking about all the things we'd do as friends now. I can't possibly wait. Well, I Hope to update soon.
