//-------------------------------------------------------// See it and weep -by DracoAntares6- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Ten days and counting //-------------------------------------------------------// Ten days and counting Almost six years later Through the darkness, creatures lurked looking for the new, oddly shaped prey. They themselves had changed shape when coming to this universe, following a signal that could only be one thing. The Doctor’s TARDIS. That means there’s an abundant food supply around. That means they could feed, killing in the only way they could. They flew through the sky, faster than the speed of light, looking for any lonely night travelers. They floated over a forest and through a town. That’s when they saw him. A black Pegasus pony was sitting on the ground, watching for any stray clouds that could get him fired on the supposed to be clear night. They went around him, moving at the speed of light. Their prey was always unsuspecting, not knowing that what they frequently do could get them killed. One of the creature stepped on a stick, causing the pony to turn around. When he saw them, the creatures froze solid. Not because they wanted to, but because they had to. Then he, like they always do, blinked. In the angels second of freedom, it flew over, wrapping its own wings around the Pegasus. Then it froze again. The Pegasus had opened his eyes, and screamed. In front of him was a face. Stone statues face with sharp teeth and smooth stone eyes. Its massive wings wrapped around the poor pony, hindering him from escape. Then again he closed his eyes. Just for a second, but that was long enough for the monster to snag his life energy. The Pegasus disappeared. ________________________________________ The next day. "Just ten more days Colgate! Can you believe your almost six!" the doctor pranced about, getting ready for the day and getting Colgate ready for school. " So in ten days the TARDIS will be ready, right? We can go on the adventure you promised?" Colgate just couldn't wait to be off, and the Doctor understood. Everything was set. He had gone over time traveling rules with her at least a hundred times, and all necessary items already where held in the TARDIS. Just ten days. The TARDIS was already sending out a signal so he could find any other new life forms in this universe. He felt like he had just walked out of it in that cave again those few years ago. "Okay. You hurry to the school. Dinky will be waiting for you. Oh. And don't forget to meet Pinkie at sugar cube corner today!" he shouted as she ran out the door. He trotted out the TARDIS, ready for a new day. He left the cave behind and went through the woods, also known as the Everfree forest. He had heard of, and personally seen plenty of monsters and creatures living there. None of the monsters would mess with him or Colgate though after what he did to that hydra. He finally passed the forest, coming out behind his clock shop as usual. He trotted in, flipping the sign to open as he did. He sat down at the counter, waiting for any morning customers. ________________________________________ "Colgate! Colgate!" Dinky shouted across the street. Colgate rushed over to her best friend. "Hay dinky! Did ya hear about the new album pinkie wrote? Uncle Clockworks let me buy it as an early birthday present." Dinky nodded her head enthusiastically. Together the friends trotted into the school house, talking about the new tunes and what they should do after school. First grade in Miss Cheerilees class was almost as fun as uncle Clock telling his adventure stories. The fillies took a seat at their desks, carefully to watch out for tiara and silver. They where three years older than Colgate and Dinky. They were also big mean bully pants. “Okay class," Miss Cheerilee started. “Today we talk about cutie marks.” The class cheered. No pony in first grade had their cutie marks yet.  Colgate of course wanted one just like uncle clocks. She wanted to be a time traveler! Dinky wanted to have a muffin as her cutie mark. Dinky was a good muffin maker. Colgate looked up at Cheerilee, ready to learn. Suddenly a stallion with a dark blue coat and mane came rushing through the door. "Cheerilee! Come quick! Shadowfly has gone missing! He didn't show up for his work last night and no ponies seen him around this morning!" he rushed over to Cheerilee, gripping her hoof tightly. " Class! School is dismissed for today ,but I expect all of you to ask your parents about their cutie marks. Let's go Fizz!" Cheerilee and the colt ran out of the class. The children cheered, all running out of the school house. "Dinky! We gotta find uncle clockworks and tell him what's happened! Come on!" Colgate shot through the crowd, galloping at full speed towards the clock shop. A worried Dinky followed behind her. They had almost made it when they stepped in their paths. ________________________________________ Diamond tiara and Silver spoon where walking along when they saw their two favorite ponies. "Hi rats.”  They stepped in front of Colgate and Dinky. "Hi Dinky. How's your mom? oh wait.. YOU DONT HAVE ONE! I know now why you two hang out so much. You’re both parentless! Colgate was abandoned and picked up by her freak uncle and Dinky lives in the dirt!" she and Silver spoon chuckled. The stupid little filly's where crying their heads off. Diamond turned around satisfied with her power. When she looked up though a brown stallion stood over her. He looked at her with his deep blue eyes. "Oh! Hi mister Clockworks." tiara said nervously. As she stood there his eyes got colder, burning into her soul. So fierce and dangerous. "I would appreciate it if you left my niece and her friend alone." he said calmly, as if he knew he could strike them down at any moment. " Now go. If I see you speak to them again I will go straight to your father." But what he said didn't match his eyes. Those eyes said "if I see you bully any more ponies I will personally rip your soul from your body." "Now run" he whispered just loud enough for tiara to hear. She took his advice. ________________________________________ By time they got into the shop, Clockworks and the two fills had calmed down. NO pony made his friends cry. Especially not family. For a moment out there, when he saw his little fillies crying, he would have regenerated himself just so he could destroy the little monsters with his pure energy. Again he wondered if peace in this universe like in the legends where actually true. He turned to the two sad fillies beside him. "Girls,” he kneeled down next to them so he could see into their eyes. "Dinky, I may not knnow your father very well, or ever even seen your mother, but i gaurentee that those fillys dont know anything about you. You are a gorgeous, bright little filly. No pony can tell you different." He turned his head to Colgate. "Colgate, Colgate, Colgate. You know I love you just as I would my own filly. Your mother never abandoned you. She saved you. And don't you worry because we will find her." he nuzzled them both affectionately. He stood up and tried to look at them seriously. "Now somepony tell me why you’re not in school." ________________________________________ When Colgate told Clockworks what had happened, he took a minute to think. Some pony disappearing could correspond with almost any of the creatures he had met, or even a new creature he had never dealt with before. That or the pony could have just taken a trip. He decided to give it a few more days to see what happened. He might also have to consult Pinkie to see what she had heard around town. But for now they had a tree house to build. When Colgate had first asked, Clockworks was delighted. It's not often you get to build a tree house with hoofs. He decided it would be a good challenge.  They decided to make it in a sikamore tree near the TARDIS cave (witch dinky still didn't know about). They started drawing out the blue prints and gathering good sized logs. Just before they started building, Dinky had to go home. "That’s okay dinky. We’ll see you tomorrow ! Bye!" Colgate shouted after her friend. " You know Colgate. It's time we should be getting home to. We still need to plan our trip. “He looked at her in weird way and put a hoof over his muzzle/snout? "Not to mention you’re in dire need of a bath!!!" they both laughed at this and went on their way. //-------------------------------------------------------// The note //-------------------------------------------------------// The note Nine days before leaving.... "Hey Pinkie! I need to talk to you." The Doctor trotted into sugar cube corner. It was 2:00, Saturday. He came to sugacube corner every Saturday to share cherrychangas with pinkie, but today was definitely urgent. He sat down at the usual table, waiting until the pink mare finally hopped over the counter and galloped over, taking a seat next to him. "okie dokie lokie! What do you need to know doc.?! I got gossip, town news, party planning, and I can make you a cake!" she said this as if she had said it a thousand times. “Well Pinkie, I need info about any missing ponies lately. All the kids got out of school early yesterday because Cheerilee had to look for some pony. I think I could probably help." He said this, trying to mask his excitement. He might not have to wait for the TARDIS after all. He watched pinkies face. She was obviously trying to think, her brow scrunched and her eyes looking up. Then her face broke into a smile. "Yep, I got all that news. There have been three ponies missing since yesterday, two where on night shift for weather patrol. The other one was one of those crazy art ponies who has a shop around here. " He sighed and put his head on his hooves. “Who are the ponies that disappeared? I Know Shadow fly is one. Who are the others?" He looked on as the pink pony went through her thinking faces again. "The other night patrol pony is named dark thunder, and then the artist is....um.... Ponet I beli...Doctor! Where are you going!?!" The Doctor had galloped out the door, going towards Ponet’s art shop. He knew that Ponet was Dinky's father. She would be heartbroken. But she might also know about what happened. He reached the colorful brick building and went in. He saw Colgate and Dinky on the floor playing with more action figures he had made them. "Dinky, Colgate! Where's Ponet? I need to ask him about something." The two fillies looked up at him, unaware of his worried state. "Oh. Hey uncle clock. I haven’t seen him today, but Dinky had the key so we just came in... Are we in trouble? "Goodness no! But still you two shouldn't be here alone. Do you know what happened to Ponet?" He spoke in a rush. He suddenly noticed that besides him and the two fillies, there was a grey Pegasus mare peeking around the corner that went to the back room. "Doctor? Is that really you?" the mare slowly came towards him and suddenly flung her arms around his neck. "Oh my goodness, it’s been forever! How is Fish doing? Ponet’s doing better, but...he seems to have gone missing suddenly... Do you know what happened?" The mare pulled back, revealing gorgeous golden, but slightly crooked eyes to the Doctor. She seemed to shrink back under the gaze. "Do I know you?" the mare frowned and sighed. "I'm sorry, but I really don't know you. I probably meet you in the future, or the past. Timey wimey stuff, and if you know me by the name the Doctor then you know what I mean." the Doctor grinned apologetically at the Pegasus mare. "So let’s make new introductions! I, as you know, am the Doctor, although at the moment I am going by the name Clockworks." The mare smiled. "I am Dinky’s mother, Ditzy Doo. I met you such a long time ago...But this does explain why you already knew me when I first got to be introduced to you." The two were silent for a moment. "Come on; let’s go get a muffin at Sugarcube corner. It’s been forever since I’ve been to Ponyville, and it would be nice to see a few ponies again. Not to mention you can catch me up to where exactly you are in your time stream...” The two ponies walked in silence, contemplating what to say next. It was around when they where halfway to sugarcube corner that the Doctor stopped right in his tracks. "Ditzy. Do you have any garden statues?" He asked in a shaky voice. She shook her head. "I don’t even have a garden. Why? Is something wrong?" she chased after the Doctor who had already run out the door. "The fillies are in danger!"He shouted back. When she heard this she ran faster. No pony hurt her little muffin! ________________________________________ "Keep staring at then Dinky! They can't move as long as we see them! Just don’t look them in the eyes."Colgate was scared, but at the same time exited to finally meet one of her uncle’s old foes that he told her about. These must be the weeping angels. That would explain all the disappearances. She just hoped he would get there soon. Not blinking was hard! The Pegasus statue stood six feet away, hoofs over its eyes and wings held in. The fillies where backed up against the kitchen wall, taking turns staring at it. "Why aren't they attacking us?" Dinky squeaked, obviously much more scare than Colgate. "Well. They have a defense mechanism so that every time some pony looks at them, they turn to stone. It makes them not able to move, but it also disguises them. The problem is you have to keep looking at them. Their faster than rainbow dash, so if you blink they....that happens." Dinky had been watching them while Colgate rested her eyes a moment. She must have blinked because when Colgate looked up, the Pegasus was right in front of her. It's eyes where blank, and it's mouth agape with sharp teeth. It massive wings were extended, almost wrapped around the two fillies. "Oh my Celestia!!!"Dinky shouted, practically crying now."I'm sososo sorry Colgate! My eyes just burned and....and.....whaaaa!!!" Colgate held Dinky’s hoof, telling her it would be okay, never looking away from the statue. She knew what would come next. As soon as she closed her eyes they would get them, sending them back in time as they fed off of their life energy. They would get a feast from Colgate because she had multiple lives. Uncle told her that when she's dying, she should be able to regenerate because she was a time pony. He said she would have been a normal pony like Dinky, but she had been subject to the time vortex stuff in the TARDIS. Now her eyes burned. Then she blinked. She heard a loud bang and opened her eyes, expecting to be anywhere that wasn’t the room. She looked up to see her uncle. He hugged them both. "What happened to the weeping angel? I was sure it was going to send us away!" she exclaimed, overjoyed that she was still in the kitchen and very much alive. Her uncle moved over so she could see a heap of stone. Standing over it was Ditzy doo holding a massive hammer. "No pony hurts my muffins." ditzy said fiercely as she went over and hugged them all. Colgate was the first one to break the silence. "How are they here uncle? Why did they come after me and Dinky?" Colgate asked. Clockworks looked at her gravely. "Colgate. I'm afraid the TARDIS drew them here." "WHAT!" Colgate yelled. "HOW THE HAY DID IT DO THAT!" Colgate was so angry. Those things had almost killed them and now her uncle was telling her that their home was what brought them there! She would end up getting killed before her first trip! "Darling. Calm down. The TARDIS sent out a signal when it gained enough power so I could take a larger look around. They must have somehow heard it and followed it to the, um, here." he had to choose his words carefully with ditzy and Dinky around. Still, they looked completely dumbfounded, confused, and scared. "I’ve heard you talk about the TARDIS but I’ve never looked into it, but why would it send out a signal to draw the weeping Pegasus here? Are they coming back? What exactly are they clockworks? I'm scared. I need to know if my muffins in danger so I can get her out of It." Ditzy gave him the look. The ‘you got to tell me the truth because I'm dead serious' look. The Doctor would try to tell the truth, but he didn't want to tell all of it. "The TARDIS is our, home, a spaceship which I’m guessing you already know." Colgate was about to amplify on that, but Clockworks gave her a look. She shut up. "She’s, a special house. That monster found out it was here. They need it because it has a large food supply they need. The monsters are called weeping angels. Weeping Pegasus in your perspective... (Another brief explanation of what a weeping angel is and how to stop its movement...) and as for the danger part. I'm afraid your lives are in danger just being near me or Colgate. Those weeping Pegasus won't stop until they have the TARDIS and I and Colgate are the only ways to get in it." When he finished, ditzy wasn’t as shocked as he expected. "Dinky. Let’s go home." she looked on at clockworks with a sad face. "We’ll be back for Colgate’s birthday. I don't know why, but I trust you can handle these things. I don’t care what your number one rule is. Be careful. And please, find Ponet for us. He's been going through enough lately." she leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. The Doctor was caught by surprise and blushed ecstatically. "Let’s go home Colgate. We need to cut off the TARDIS signal. Don't want Daleks next, now do we?" They trotted to the TARDIS in the cave in the Everfree forest outside of Ponyville in equestria on a planet in a parallel universe. No pony was safe. //-------------------------------------------------------// Magic class mayhem //-------------------------------------------------------// Magic class mayhem 4:00 night. The Pegasus flew fast. The TARDIS signal was cut off so now all they had to go on was the time ponies. They would have to follow them to it. The blue filly had enough life energy to sustain millions of angels for years. Her they would devour. They flew until they came upon a yard of other statues. There the six weeping angels waited. Waited for their next meal. ________________________________________ Sunday morning "Okay class. Let's hear some suggestions for what can learn today." Twilight sparkle told her class. Sunday magic class was always fun. It also gave her a chance to keep an eye on Colgate. That filly was an ace in magic, in some things even as good as herself. The class consisted of five students. Four today because Dinky was out. She would have to ask Colgate where she was later. She looked about to see all the fillies with their hoofs raised. "Okay Berry pinch! What would you like to learn?" Twilight asked, curious to see what the pink filly had to offer. "I want to learn love magic like princess Cadence!" Berry pinch smiled up with a big grin. "I told you girls. I'm planning to ask princess cadence if she can come down and teach us herself. That’s her special talent so she understands it more than me. Any other suggestions?" Berry pinch and Bloo kept their hooves down. "How about you Firelock?" she looked down at the orange filly with the red mane. Probably spitfire fans by the looks of her mane do. Sure enough the filly’s suggestion agreed with the fact. "Can you teach us how to grow wings?" "Sorry. No can do. That spell takes up a lot of magic and it could be dangerous." All the fillies whined for a moment before the question for any suggestions rose again. Twilight found that the only one left was Colgate. "Yes Colgate? What would you like to learn?" If this was as hard as the others, she would have to teach more about levitation. Again. "Is a stone destruction spell too hard?" the filly asked timidly, apparently worried Twilight would say no. Surprised, Twilight shook her head. "No, a stone destruction spell would be perfect. SPIKE! Bring the practice statues over here!" she shouted, waiting until he came out, dragging along four massive stone blocks. The burden was lifted as each filly levitated their blocks to position, as they have many times when casting destructive spells. After going over the basics of the spell, they tried it out. "Ready, aim, fire!" Twilight said. Once the last word was out of her mouth, red, blue, green, and pink magic shot at the bricks. Brick dust shot up around them clouding their vision. Once the smoke cleared, Twilight was stunned. The only brick to be completely destroyed was none other than Colgate’s. The brick was nothing but dust. "How...how did you...what?" Twilight stuttered. It had taken her two weeks before she perfected it. It took Colgate two minutes. This filly sure did have a special gift. "Good job Colgate! Very good. Now does any pony have anything else they want to learn or is that it for today?" The class decided to be dismissed for now. As usual they would come in the evening again, but with their parents, and practice what they had learned. She decided she would have a talk with Clockworks about Colgate getting a higher level of education in canterlot. She personally new five different ones that were looking for new students. Just before she went looking for him, she spotted spike sneaking towards the door. "Spike! Take a letter." Upon hearing this, the dragon sighed. “A simple please would be nice every once in a while." He complained, shut up by a look Twilight gave him. "Please take a letter to Princess Luna. I have news concerning a pony that she could take as her own personal student." ________________________________________ Colgate trotted through town, searching for any weeping angels. After telling uncle Clockworks about her new destruction spell, he asked her to go find any weeping angels and try to destroy them. That was six hours ago and she hadn't found any. She headed over to carousel boutique, the only place she hadn't looked. Of course with her luck, no pony was home and there weren’t any statues around as far as the eye could see. Looking up in the sky she guessed it was about a quarter past six. She should go get uncle clockworks so they can make it to the afternoon magic class. She trotted along, passing carriages and shopping ponies. The shops and street soon disappeared as Colgate made it into the Everfree forest, headed for the TARDIS cave. Some ponies had started calling it the cave of souls because if you stood near it you could sometimes hear whispering. Colgate knew that was just her uncle’s way to keep foolish fillies away from the TARDIS. She was almost halfway there when she heard a strange noise coming from behind her. She spun around, horn glowing, ready to demolish any creatures that tried to eat her. Looking around a moving shadow caught her eye. Using all her strength, she locked on to whatever it was, levitating it over to her. Now the creature was a few feet from her. She looked up. "Colgate! Put me down! Can't a guy eat a banana in peace!?!" her uncle clockworks shouted above her. Not wanting to upset him more than already, she did what he asked. He came down with a loud 'oomph!' "I was just strolling through the forest, eating a banana, when I'm surrounded by blue and I can't feel the ground! “He dramatized, making it sound like the world just ended. "I’m sorry uncle. I was just coming to find you actually. It's about time for evening magic class and Miss Twilight needs to speak with you. She said its real important." and with that the two turned around and headed for the library, chatting and laughing like life was normal. ________________________________________ "Hello Clockworks, Colgate. Nice that you could come." Twilight greeted the two, letting them in. Twilight trotted behind them nervously. She had a very important matter to discuss with mister clockworks. They trotted to the room where magic practice takes place. Clockworks sat down at a table, while Colgate went and sat next to the other students. "Okay girls, you’re free to practice your magic. Remember the rules." Twilight told them as their horns all started glowing; practicing any magic skills they wanted. Twilight watched Colgate. The blue filly went over to the stone bricks from earlier that day and blew each one up in order. After a while parents and fillies left. One hours in, all where gone except clockworks and Colgate. By then the filly was resting, building up energy to practice more. Twilight went and sat by clockworks. "Colgate told me you had an important matter to speak to me of?"Inquired Clockworks. Twilight saw that this was her chance to tell him. "Clockworks, you have a very talented niece. She has surpasses what I can teach her, so I asked a friend of mine if they would take her on as their student. She said she would but it's up to you. You would have to move to Canterlot if you did agree, but it would give your niece a chance to excel in her talent. So it's up to you.”  Twilight said, barely holding back her anticipation. Clockwork took a minute to think before replying. "Well, first I need to know a few things. Who is the teacher, where are the classes held and what dates?" He inquired. Twilight couldn't wait to see the surprised look on his face. "You will be surprised to know that prins..." "DOCTOR!!!" Twilight was cut off from her sentence by a screaming Colgate. "I'm coming!" Clockworks yelled, already galloping away. The dumbfounded Twilight followed, only thinking of one thing to say. "You’re a Doctor?" ________________________________________ As soon as Clockworks heard Colgate, he was off. Colgate never called him Doctor except when they were alone or she was seriously scared. He rounded the corner to find Colgate trapped by a weeping Pegasus against the wall. "Quick! Teleport to me!" he shouted, keeping his eyes on the statue. "I can't! Somehow they closed off my magic!" Colgate cried, obviously not having fun anymore. "What's wrong? It's just a statue." Twilight trotted over, her horn lighting up. It stayed on for just a second before flickering until glow finally died. "What the? What happened to my magic?" Twilight said, again dumbfounded. Just then the lights flickered. "Their sapping the energy! NO!" the Doctor looked over to find that during the flicker the Pegasus had taken Colgate. Both she and the statue where gone. "Where’d they go?" Twilight asked, obviously unaware of eminent death. The lights began to flicker again. "I have the feeling......that were not alone." for a moment all that could be heard was the two ponies breathing and the faint snoring of the baby dragon upstairs. Suddenly the Doctor whipped himself, and Twilight around, coming face to face with a weeping Pegasus. Twilight screamed. "Sorry I put you in this predicament miss Twilight. I don't really have any controls over these things." then, to the surprise of Twilight he stepped up to the statue, and looked it right in the eye. "You know who I am. You also know what I can accomplish. But now you took my niece. My family. Nobody. Hurts. My. Family. By time I finish with you, you’ll wish you’d taken my advice all those years ago to run. Now Twilight." he turned to her, his voice and eyes calm. "I need you to do something for me. It won't be completely safe but it's our only hope to find Colgate. On the count of three, blink." He turned back towards the Pegasus. "One," "But, but!" "Two." He looked at Twilight one last time. "Trust me Miss Twilight. I'm a Doctor. Three." Right then they blinked. In that split second, the stone Pegasus and the ponies disappeared from the library. Just moments later a groggy baby dragon came down the stairs. "Twi? Are you there?"He looked around and shrugged it off, going back up to get some more sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Captured //-------------------------------------------------------// Captured The Doctor opened his eyes. He felt dizzy, and his back was freaking cramping up. "Twilight? Have you woken up yet? I believe they knocked us out with some sleeping gas..." He looked around to find that Twilight was nowhere to be found. He was in a ten by ten foot stone cell. The only thing giving off light was a small window on the back wall. "Oh great." he moaned, remembering to a full what had happened. After reopening their eyes from blinking, they found that the angels had transported them to an underground dungeon. "My Celestial! Twilight had gasped."We’re in the Dungeon under the princesses castle!!!" she near fainted into the Doctor after that. They were led into another room. From it they could hear a faint moaning noise. When they could finally see, their eyes adjusted to the light, they both gasped. In front of them was Colgate. Or at least half Colgate. Her horn was gone and replaced with large wings on her back. All the way from her back hooves to her shoulders, she was stone. Her head was still free, but not for long. Her eyes where tightly closed, trying to fend off the angel now inside her. Her face was full of pain. “NO!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS! SHES ONLY A CHILD!” The Doctor shouted, his rage coming out at full force. The angels backed away from him for a moment. He ran to Colgate, determined to save her. “Uncle? Is that you? Help me.” She said in a faint whisper as if she was far away. “Listen to me Colgate. Whatever you do don’t open your eyes. I will save you. Trust me. I love you.” He whispered back. Then he felt dizzy. Last thing he remembered was Twilight screaming. Twilight cried. She was so scared and confused. Where was Clockwork? Was he okay? The last she had seen of him was when the angel had hit him across the head. After that, the angels had taken her away from Colgate’s room and into a stone cell. It wasn’t very big, but she fit. It had been at least two days since then. She could only tell by the times that food and water where given to her. Breakfast, dinner, lunch. All bread and water. She had no idea why they kept her alive, but she hoped they wouldn’t change their minds and kill her. But she still couldn’t get out even if they did decide to kill her. All the magic was cut off in there. The only times she could even use the simplest spells was when the princesses raised or lowered the sun and moon. Even then for only a few seconds. Her plan of escape was to be moved to the cell that had a secret passageway out of the dungeon. It should be a few cells down and then the first cell to the right. It was the only cell completely made of stone, other than the small window. She had read in books from her past studies that in that cell there was a small mouse hole under the bed. It was made by a unicorn prisoner back in the first century of Celestia’s rule. He had used an animal communication spell and gotten the mouse to dig the hole. It was finished within the year. The unicorn shrunk himself and escaped through it. If she could get there, she could shrink herself, get out, warn the princesses, and save equestria! But the only way to get to that cell was either make a huge disaster and the angels would put her there, or to escape the cell and get over there. She decided to try planning one as soon as the sun was being raised. It burned. Colgate could feel the angel trying to push itself into her mind. She couldn’t move her legs or neck anymore. They felt cold. She couldn’t feel her hearts beating either. It was impossible for her to even be alive right now. It wanted to see. She could feel the hate and hunger the creature had. It wanted out. She knew if she opened her eyes, she would only feel worse. She had tried it before. But the angel in her mind was trying its best to push her away. Weaken her. Not only did it bring the straining pain of trying to keep it out. It also brought the pain of memories. It brought them up when all Colgate wanted to do was keep them hidden. Even now, it was bringing them. ”Hey Colgate!” diamond tiara yelled at her. The bully had tried to bully Dinky and Colgate wouldn’t take it any longer. She had grabbed tiaras saddle bag, and threw it over the bridge, and into the pond. She was hoping that this would make tiara go, but it had only made her angry. “You puny little brat! Your goanna get it! Stone! Get over here I got a foal that needs some toughening up!” she yelled for him, and he had come. Stone hoof was the biggest colt in the school. He was also the meanest. Colgate cowered down, prepared for the worst to happen. Sure enough, pain shot through her every limb. They kept on. She cried. No pony stopped to help. She never looked up the whole time. She never came out of her little ball. She knew that if she did it would only be worse. Her face was bleeding. The bullies where laughing, stepping on her and abusing her. When they finished, there was nothing left of Colgate that wasn’t bleeding or in pain. She could almost feel the regeneration energy beginning to build up. Just to make their point clear, they threw the now red filly over the bridge. Not into the water, but onto the rocks. She could hear the loud crack of her bones. Then she couldn’t feel anything anymore. She thought she would die right there. The last thing Colgate heard was a shouting voice, like thunder. To Colgate it was a soothing thunder. To others, it was worse. Then it went black. And it stayed black. No light under her closed eyes. Only darkness and pain. But she knew that if she could take as much suffering as she already had, she could hold on until the Doctor got there. It was only a matter of time. //-------------------------------------------------------// Escape //-------------------------------------------------------// Escape Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, go!” Twilight used all her energy, throwing it into one spell. She decided that the easiest way to make it to the cell was by teleporting herself there. That would give her a chance to escape when Luna raised the moon. She strained and purple magic enclosed around her. She closed her eyes and felt herself being moved into the cell. Then she opened them. “No! But I was sure I got the calculations right!” She looked around, bewildered. She was in the cell next to the one she needed to get to. “Wait! I still have about five seconds left!” she closed her eyes again and used her magic. She could feel it drifting away but she did it. When she opened her eyes she was on the floor next to a small cot. In the cot was none other than Clockwork. “What the hay are you doing in here!?! This cell was supposed to be empty! Now the statues are going to guess that I came in here for you. This will be the first place they look!” She ranted on and on, finally stopping when she noticed that Clockwork was still asleep. “CLOCKWORK!!! WAKE UP!” She yelled at him. She then proceeded to get on the cot and jump on the confused, dazed stallion. “What the…” The Doctor woke up to find a purple unicorn standing on him. She wasn't heavy, but she was very annoying. “Cant an old man get any sleep around here?” he complained. Twilight looked angrily at him. “The hay, you’re as old as me! Now shut up and get up. We need to hide me!” the Doctor closed his eyes, just to be bucked off his cot by the mare. “Get up! It’s been four days since we got here. I just had enough energy to get into this cell once. Now find me a place to hide! Do you have any idea what’s going on? Do you have amnesia?” she got up right in his face and shouted at him. “BECAUSE YOUR NIECE IS ABOUT TO TURN INTO A STATUE, IM GONNA GET KICKED OUT OF THIS CELL, AND ALL OF EQUESTRIA IS GONNA FALL BECAUSE YOU WONT GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTT!!!!!!” she stopped and caught her breath, the Doctor sat up and flopped his ears. He shook himself and trotted in circles for a moment. “I’m sorry Clockwork but I’m under a lot of stress.” She sighed tiredly, lying down on the cot. The Doctor continued to trot around until he stopped next to the cot and looked at Twilight. “I’d prefer if you just call me the Doctor. Clockwork was a …. Placeholder name you could say. And just so you know I am much older than 22 unlike you. I’ve seen things you couldn’t even begin to describe. Now about Colgate, she should be fine until the princess comes. That is what you’re doing, isn’t it?” he looked at her curiously. “How did you know? The secret passageway was just in the legend books. I only believed it when I saw it for the first time.” “When you’ve seen as much as me, you start believing legends. Especially when you are one.” He started walking around again, feeling a bit guilty to talk about his past. “Clockwork, can I ask some questions about you? We will be here for a while anyways. So?” she looked expectant. The Doctor sighed. He might as well. He needed to gain her trust any ways. “Okay. Ask away.” He reluctantly agreed. Of course it’s not like he had to tell her about the time war or anything. “Okay. What are you a Doctor of? And you said that Clockwork was a placeholder name, but wouldn’t the Doctor be one also? And exactly how old are you?” it took a moment but the Doctor finally got up the courage to tell her. Hopefully she would be as acceptant as Colgate. “I am a Doctor of everything you can think of. Well, except medicine. Not to good at that ironically. And you’re right. The Doctor is a place holder name as well, but I prefer to be called that. If I did say my real name, there’s a good chance this planet would rip in half. As for the age, it’s a bit personal. If I remember right it was around…1350??? Give or take a few decades. And before you give me the ‘you’re a crazy pony’ look, I have to say that I am by all means not crazy. I may be a little mad but not crazy.” All Twilight did was look on in silence. There was a moment before Twilight began more questions. “sooo…  I know you have the clock shop in Ponyville, but where do you and Colgate actually live? And why doesn’t Colgate have regular Doctor appointments? Also, where did you come from? Before Ponyville I mean.” “I’ll give the answers to you straight. We live in the Everfree forest in a cave, she doesn’t have appointments because she doesn’t need them, and we came from earth.” She looked at him, not believing his replies. Instead of commenting on them she decided to just ask more serious questions. “What are those things that attacked us?” he looked about and started talking. “Good luck Twilight. Don’t get eaten and remember my advice about the weeping angels. Get here as soon as possible. Go now!” the Doctor said his last farewells as Twilight shrunk down and scurried through the mouse hole. She had exactly twenty seconds to get far enough away from the dungeon to access magic. If she didn’t, then she would start to grow. She would die, stuck down there. She felt so weird being small. She ran into the tunnel and kept on running. It was dark and damp. It was about twenty feet long. In her small state, that was almost a mile. “No. no. no. no!” she felt her magic slipping away and ran faster. She slowly grew. She looked around in despair as she ran. The dark tunnels provided no means of a faster passage anywhere. Now she could feel the sides of the tunnel, brushing against her horn and sides. She kept growing. It burned so much. It felt like she was suffocating from no space to move. Soon she couldn’t even crawl. She was stuck. She knew this would happen. Now equestria would fall and it wasn’t the Doctor’s fault. It was hers. She cried until she couldn’t even do that because of cramped space. Soon she would be crushed. She closed her eyes and waited. It never came. She opened her eyes to find that she had been teleported by some strange magic into the princess’s castle. Celestia stood in front of her. “Princess! Oh thank you!” Twilight ran to her, flinging her hoofs around her mentors neck in a big hug. “Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. Can you please explain what you were doing in a mouse hole under my castle?” Colgate opened her eyes to find herself in the hospital. Uncle Clockwork stood by the window. In it she could see his eyes. She would have nightmares about those eyes for years. Those where the eyes of someone who had lost. Had lost so much that they would kill for what they had left. Those eyes had killed for her. She could feel it. But those eyes were also filed with despair and regret, sadness and wonder. Eyes of so many emotions you couldn’t begin to imagine. “Uncle. It’s okay. I’m fine.” She said to him, hoping to calm him down. In truth she was anything but fine. One of her hearts wasn’t beating and she burned everywhere. Uncle turned towards her, those eyes burning so bright and deadly, she coward down and looked away. “NO YOU’RE NOT OKAY! DON’T YOU SEE!! THEY COULD HAVE KILLED YOU! IF I HADNT GOTTEN THERE WHEN I DID YOU COULD HAVE DIED!! AND I WOULD BE ALONE! I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.” He laid his head against the window and sobbed. The fire in his eyes was gone. All that remained was one word. Alone. “What did you do to the colt uncle? Did you…” she trailed off, afraid of what he would say. He didn’t say anything. That was the last time she would ever see or hear from stone. She looked up at her uncle again. He trotted to her bedside, his eyes now dried. “Okay Colgate. You just need to keep your eyes closed a little longer.” He whispered. “It’s okay darling, its okay. Everything’s going to be fine.” He smiled down at her. “But uncle. What did you do to him? What about his family?” she looked into his eyes. But her uncle’s eyes weren’t there. Instead they were stone. Cold stone eyes on a face with its mouth agape with razor sharp teeth. “I killed him.” Said a deep voice. That wasn’t her uncle. Then it was. “Now Colgate! Open your eyes!” and she did. When she did, there was her uncle again, tears running down his face. Only this time they weren’t in a hospital room. Finding out she could move, Colgate leaped into her uncle’s arms. “I love you Doctor.” She used her uncle’s favorite name. She loved him so much, even if it did mean loving a killer. When she let go and looked around, she was amazed. All the weeping angels where gone. Twilight stood next to the Doctor, and next to her stood the two princesses. “Princess Celestia! Princess Luna! You’re here!” Colgate gasped in awe. “Yes child. Twilight sparkle has told me about you. Would you wish to be my new student?” princess Luna asked. Colgate looked at her uncle pleadingly, who nodded. “YES!!! I would love to!” she jumped up and down. But then she looked down.” But I won’t be able to stay. Me and uncle are going on a trip.” Colgate explained “I won’t be here for a couple days…” she looked up at the princess to find her smiling. “Thou can take a trip. I just need you to do one thing for me. Make a list of all the adventures you have, and make sure that all of your fun is doubled." Luna looked down surprised when she found her new student hugging her. “I’ll do my best.” The filly exclaimed she jumped up and down. Twilight smiled, glad to see the filly happy. “Okay Colgate. We have all our supplies and things. Who’s ready to go on an adventure?” the Doctor looked over at the excited filly. They had come back to Ponyville and said goodbye to the Doo’s before leaving and returned Ponet to his original time. Then they had checked up on the princesses and their new six additions to their statue garden. Then they had gone to the TARDIS and left. They were now flying through the time vortex, the doors of the TARDIS opened. “Are you ready? Once you look in there’s no going back.” He received a nod. “I’m ready.” Colgate said. The Doctor led her over to the door and she looked into the time vortex for the first time. After a minute she looked back up at him, her eyes wide. “All of time and space. Let’s go explore!” she ran over to the TARDIS console and they took off, ready for adventure. Next story:World of chaos (http://www.fimfiction.net/story/40437/world-of-chaos) //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Five years passed like Minutes to the Doctor as he went to work and went home. He got more used to hoofs, being able to pick things up properly. Almost every pony in Ponyville knew him as Clockworks, minus Pinkie who knew him as the Doctor as well due to him bringing her there. Colgate grew, passing preschool and kindergarten in a breeze. Her best friend was Dinky. Their birthdays where just a day apart. They both attended Twilights private magic school, passing from levitation all the way up to teleportation. They had it every Sunday and Colgate never had to miss them. Each summer clockworks and Colgate would visit a different kingdom. First they traveled Equestria, then the griffon kingdom, and then they climbed Dragon Mountain. They had to go to Dragon Mountain twice because they only saw the one side at first. Other than that, days where normal. Every night the doctor would tell Colgate tales about the Time lords, the other universe, and his travels. When she was four and she found out that not every pony had two hearts and there were no other time lords, he had to tell her the story of the time war. She wouldn't speak to him for almost a week until she found him crying in the TARDIS. She decided to accept him with all his faults. And she couldn't wait to go traveling with him. He had promised her a first trip on her sixth birthday. Only ten days left until the TARDIS would be charged and they could travel through space and time. The doctor thought they would actually make it without any big dangerous monster problems. He was sooooo wrong. ________________________________________ Thanks to anyone who ready my story.
