Intro:A powerful treasure

200 years ago something happen. The world has changed. All the ponies of the surface know that it is very very cold. The surface is hell on Equestria. Again if we knew what caused all this pain. I'm known as Fancy Fleur. I don't understand why I have been given this name. It's something I have come to grown used to.

What is my job in this waste? What else is there to do but get rich and live. Meaning I'm a treasure hunter. I do what I can as a treasure hunter. But the only way to make it out here in the ruins of this city? It’s a good idea to have transportation or freeze to death. Now I got lucky as a treasure hunter. I found a magic-powered creation built before whatever happened.

The creation of the past is an old buggy made to run in an environment like this. It runs on gas and magic mostly magic. The gas is harder to come by in this land of ice.

Time: 7:00 in the morning. Location: Manehatten ruins.

What makes a treasure hunter in this land? The sound of a drill a powerful magic drill that breaks through the ice. The ability to use your head. But it's not about only using your head. It's about having the gut's to see the past. I found the score at least that's how I feel.

An old museum would that be a score? A voice spoke to me over my com set. " Fancy your heart rate is spiking are you sure you want to keep going?" Ignoring the voice I kept drilling. I needed this score. I needed the food I needed for my money. The drill connected to my horn.

I had to use my magic since you had to teach yourself these days to use your magic it was ten times harder to make sure your body didn't fall apart. Again the voice spoke. " That's it I am coming to get you," I grunted finally broke through but there was a cave-in.

" AHHH!!" I screamed falling onto the ground below. Screaming in pain that a bone in my leg broke. Quickly I went into my bag. Grabbing some strange glowing pills swallowing them down. I felt the pain growing in me. As the pills worked their magic. These pills made to heal. But the thing about them.. your bowl's don't like it when you put these in your system.

"Damn it Fancy I told you to just take one!!. Your body can't handle too much!!" I panted hard as my bowl's released what I had to eat this morning. It glowed brightly and when it hit the floor it just hardened and burned. Lifting my com device to my ear with my TK.

" I am fine Sparks. I am going to need the winch but I found the motherload. So much here it's so amazing." Looking down at my suit that allows others to read my body. These suits are very hard to come by. I found this one in the treasure I found.

"No Fancy you aren't. Your heartbeat is really quick. Your blood presser is too high your pulse is too quick. I can't allow you to stay down there." Up above there are sounds of a car or something coming over the hole with a winch coming down. It falls to the ground. " I give you an hour to find something. If things get worse I will come down and get you myself."

Sighing softly shaking my head a bit. If I only had an hour I needed to find the best of the best. So I knew that places like this had old safes. Slowly walking through the museum looking for the basement. I didn't have the floor plans. But I knew where to go like something was calling me.

I was told stories by other treasure hunters that places like this have deadly creatures. Taking a staff from my belt and it formed into a pike. Holding it in my magic. Finally getting down to the full basement. But when I did I heard some dark evil growl's.

Looking around I saw what is known as a Timber wolf. But these timberwolves they’re different. They form in areas that are highly concentrated in wood and other things in buildings. I watched it as it formed its magic from objects such as a vase old photo frames and for the teeth pens.

It howled at me. " Fancy what is that sound?"

"It's a building remnant." The creature charged at me opening its mouth using old frozen pipes to try to smash into me like spears. Sparks had trained me but I still wasn't able to fight like a fighter in the remnants. I had to focus slowed my breathing down to watch the creature's eyes stare at me.

The pipes smashed behind me since it had a very lousy aim. I did what I could to fight this thing. it's not easy to fight one of these. They are made of the building themselves. You have to destroy the brain. Charging at the creature I clicked a button with my magic. To cause a small charge.

Smashing the pike into it causing the parts of the creature to fall off. I could see the brain this time the brain was an old pony skull. These creatures can be easy to take down. You just have to outsmart them. Smashing the staff hard into the brain making it shatter.

Then I had a reminder of what happens when you kill one of these things. They scream and then explode. Grabbing a table near me when it explodes the pens stabbed into the table along with the rest of the wood. But of course, I got hit by a part of the bone in my left leg.

" GAHH!!"

" Fancy what happen it says your suit has a cut in it"

" I am fine,” I said groaning in pain.

" No, I'm coming." Growling in anger she was so much like a mother to me it's starting to get on my nerves.

" No, I am fine. I will be up there soon." Sparks groaned in the com.

" I hate when you don't listen to me." A soft chuckle came from me. Slowly walking deeper into the basement. When I got down there. I found a locked door. But this door was too old for it to stop me. Breaking it open I went inside seeing preserved bodies thanks to the cold.

They died down here of hunger. They felt whatever happen that they could live down here. But what I wanted is locked behind a safe. I found the large metal door. Reaching into my bag bringing out one plastic bomb. These are hard to come by so I just need one for this.

Setting it up on the safe getting out of the way letting it blow off the door. The door falls with a metal sound. Slowly standing back up heading inside. But there is only one thing. A large chest with a cube sitting on it. The cube had a note on it. 'Watch and learn.'

Blinking I clicked the button of the cube this one worked without DNA some worked if you had the DNA or family member's DNA but some worked without that. You just needed to touch it. The cube opened up a little light formed in the middle of it and a screen formed allowing whatever to be shown to see.

Snow fell on the ground. The sound of coughing and hard breathing. "It happen.. So fast.. I had no idea...I" Cough " I did what Twilight asked. I got the element's out. But...I have no idea what happens to her." Cough. " I hid the rest as she asked."

Looking towards the pedestal that held the box. I saw the body of a mare I could make it out. But she looked strange she had a star cutie mark. I could see the fear in her eyes. Looking back up to the magic screen as the cube played on.

"I don't know....anymore. I don't see any other living pony. It's so so cold. I got one more element to hide." I could hear her shiver. Then a howl behind her. " NO NO!!" She started to run the cube turned off after she started running and it formed back into a full cube.

I took the cube in my magic. Placing it into my bag. Looking at the chest looking around the entire thing that held it. But I didn't see any traps or anything that would stop me from taking it. My magic wrapped around the chest. Slowly lifted it off its stand. Looking at the chest it said on it. 'Be Honest.'

Slowly walked out but I heard growling turning back seeing shadow's form along the wall's. Blinking I quickly ran out. The shadow's forming all over the walls. I heard hooves chasing me and the sounds of nightmarish creatures. It sounded like I was opening the gates of evil itself.

" Sparks I am coming in hot please be ready!!" There was nothing but static. "Sparks?!!" When I got into the mane room a medium-size red jewel-colored female dragon waited there for me. She breathed fire on the creature that chased me. The nightmarish creature's howled in pain.

"That won't hold them for long." She grabbed me in her claws and flew me out. Placing me in my magic buggy. She landed on the roof of it.

" GO GO!!" The creature came out like it was water. I turned on the magic and drove off as quickly as I can. The creature's hissed and cry as they chased us it got to the point they started to form. But they surrounded us and Sparks tried to use her fire to stop them from coming after us.

They pilled on us but the chest I had with me started to glow. It glowed brightly causing the creature to scream in pain and vanish from the light. But not all of the most. After the flash, the buggy had stopped dead. Sparks looked around but the Box just stat there in the seat.

" What was that Fancy what did you find?" Looking at the box then back at Sparks

" I don't know Sparks."

" I don't know about you Fancy but let’s go home and then see what we can get for it."

We made it home after six hours. Getting through the town of ruin's and creature's willingness to kill you was harder then it looked. Our home was held up into an old bank. The building was pretty much intact. But we had it pretty much blocked off and some magic devices known as blockers to keep the creatures away.

The blockers were made after whatever caused this to happen. Of course one of them had to recharge. Sparks grabbed the battery for me and while I had a campfire going I had the battery connected to my horn to charge it. Taking the suit off. My body was smooth creamy white fur. With some frostbite burns on my body and many scars and some fresh wounds.

My cutie marks a chest. Sighing softly I placed the meat in the pot. The idea of a pony living up here they have to do some pretty unsavory things to live. Since it's hard to come across grass or other veggies. Only the ones in the Remnant can grow them. But since I wish to live out here it's the only way I can think of.

"Alright, we will be there tomorrow to let you check out the chest and see what is in it." Sparks was on the com talking to ever will give us our money or food rations. But mostly it's money for treasure hunter's Sparks set the com down so it could charge.

" Alright Fancy we will be meeting with our buyer tomorrow. They want to know what you found today." Giving a nod looking to the chest. I had no idea what was in it. Sparks even tried to open it but it refused to open for her.

I sighed nodding removing the battery from my horn offering it back to Sparks "It should be enough of a charge." Sparks nodded and walked out" Looking back at the Chest I felt I should say it out loud to myself.

"Be Honest" The words glowed on the chest. But nothing happen it didn't even open. But why would the words glow if I said it? Slowly put my hoof on it I could feel some magic coming from the chest. Pain as well the pain-filled my body. I cried I felt endless torment from whatever was in this chest.

It cried for something it cried for its friend's it felt like it cried for its world. " Why would it cry for its world?" I held my hoof there screaming in pain yelling loudly in pain. It felt like my brain was burning from the pain. Sparks rushed back in. She kicked the chest away from me I shook violently.

" Fancy that chest has a spell on it. A powerful old spell. The only way to open it is you break the spell. Don't touch it again." I nodded groaning in pain. My food is finally read setting it down on the dirty ground taking half and letting Sparks take the other half.

"After we eat. I am going to go back outside and take the rest of the batteries out and charge them." Sparks nodded taking the meat talking on the com to the buyer. heading deeper into the bank. I sighed softly I hated the fact that It was just me and her.

Well, friendship was hard to come by these days. To some friendship was just something that got in the way of what you needed to do survive. Surviving came first but of course, it always came second. to some are sex and breeding. Sex is only when you need to up the population no longer for just random fun.

Eating the food I brought the cube back out to make sure I could understand more about it. Turning the cube on. I watched it again. "It happen.. So fast.. I had no idea...I" Cough " I did what Twilight asked. I got the element's out. But...I have no idea what happens to her." Cough. " I hid the rest as she asked."

It went on "I don't know....anymore. I don't see any other living pony. It's so so cold. I got one more element to hide." I could hear her shiver. Then a howl behind her. " NO NO!!" She started to run. But this time it showed more. The pony turned around showing what was chasing her it was one of those shadow creatures.

" NO NO It's found me." She kept running and ran into the museum I got the chest from. She ran down to the basement. Ponies yelled.

" This way in here!!" The ponies allowed the one in. I just kept watching like it was all I could see.

" Lock the door." The mare screamed. But it didn't help the creature seeped through the room growling and hissing at them. The other ponies screamed they didn't look much like fighters to me. But the creature attacked them in one swoop murdering them but there was no blood no gore. This creature did it in a smooth movement.

The mare turned to another pony. " Open the safe lock me inside." The pony did what she was told letting the mare inside. She placed the chest on the pedestal. Turning to the safe door hearing the screams outside. But still, the creature seeped in. The cube dropped from her magic.

I could finally see what she looked like unfrozen. She cowered in the corner I could see the fear in her eyes. The creature I swear could speak. " St " The rest of the word was static

" No No...I don't want anything to do with you. I did what Twilight asked!!" She sobbed so much fear in her eye's " Let me go!!" The creature laughed softly forming inside her as she screamed in pain and fear. But it removed itself from her for a moment.

" Give in...to your darkness... again Static Become the nightmare..." The mare sobbed

"No.. I did what Twilight asked...I did what she asked."

"Then die...." The mare sobbed as the creature infused into her again she screamed in pain. With the look of fear, I saw her with when I saw her frozen body. I could see the fear left on her face. I felt oh what a poor mare. Then the creature seeped out of her body like it was blood

It then vanished the cube turned back into the cube glowing slightly like it was burning. Whats sad about these cubes if they used too much the core inside them overheats and then you can never get the info again. I had finally finished my food and stood up heading outside.

The blocker's glowed brightly allowing the creature to stay way. I went into the buggy grabbing the battery of the buggy connecting it to my horn and allowed to charge. I grabbed a magic orb placing it inside the buggy and turned it up loud music played.

These orbs were made to house music inside them. Hard to come by but their rare as well. Closing my eyes to slowly sleep. The buggy was warm despite me being outside. I had a big day tomorrow I had to bring my new treasure to the one that wishes to see what is inside.

But whatever was inside a pony was killed over it. I no longer know what happens it's starting to worry me. But I heard something over a PA system that the Remnants of Manehatten set up over town. " Hello, Ponies the Remnants are gathering ground from the beast. if you wish to join in the hunt. Come to our land if not die."

I sighed, closing my eyes to try to sleep.

Before sleep took me I heard the voice again.

"Remnants the beast has been pushed from...." Before the voice could finish sleep finally took me.

Chapter one: The Remnant

Time: three in the afternoon. Location: Manehatten Remnant checkpoint.

Being outside of the checkpoints into the Remnant is not a simple thing to go through. They check everything you have in your bag. Sometimes you have to bribe them. So thanks to being hold up in that bank. I had an old bit's from a time when they were used normally. Lifted three up to the guards in my magic. They nodded to me and Sparks allowing us to go through in the Buggy.

We fully get into the last checkpoint. The Manehatten Remnant covered in bodies of frozen. Long ago after whatever happens to Equestria this part of the city was the last remaining outpost of the old world. Now it's a village but sometimes its kill or be killed here. Some laws allow mares to be taken in the streets. But that is because the population needs to be booming. If they wish to take back the rest of the city then they need the pony power.

But it’s not only ponies here other races too. Diamond dogs and Griffins are used as the army. The mares are sometimes just used as incubators for a stallion's seed. They have to prove themselves before their allowed to be more. Thankfully I never had to prove anything. I stopped the buggy in front of the old city hall building. It's where the Treasure hunter's guild is located at.

Each faction has it's own Treasure hunter's guild. " I am going to see if the buyer is here Fancy. Stay in the buggy." I nodded lifting the Box in my magic. I had a feeling I was being watched. Ever since I found this chest it made me feel that something is out there. Maybe I found something that wasn't meant to be found. But I watched the town seeing the pack mule-like creature's.

The pack mule creatures look like bears that can survive the weather. One of these bears came up beside me it was a fellow treasure hunter. A mare that looked like she was close to giving birth. She looked at me with a smirk. " Well hello, sister."

I growled softly. " I told you before Ruby that even though we have the same father. But we don't have the same mother." The mare rolled her eyes. She was a ruby-colored earth pony. She has so many scars along her body. But her payment for treasure was to be knocked up with some rich stallions foal.

" Oh Fancy maybe someday you will get to have sex as a payment." She said with a smirk.

"I don't want kids. To much trouble, I just want to enjoy the moment." Ruby rolled her eyes getting off the back of her bear. Putting a large box on her back. Sighing Spark's finally came out of the building. She walked to the buggy pulling the battery out. Placing it into her bag.

" Come on let’s go." Giving a nod I chanted a quick spell placing a spell on my buggy so no pony would dare to try to steal it from me. We slowly walked into the city hall there powerful generator's that are working to heat up the building. Spark's lead me through the area. But something was off all the ponies stared at the box I carried. Like they knew what it was. I had a feeling it gave something off.

Walking into the room of the buyer. The pony was one of the most respected ponies of the guild. A very nice mare. She turned to me with a smile on her face. The entire left side of her face was scared most of it was animal scratches but alot of it was the cold. They nicknamed her Frozen Hoof. I didn't know her real name. But she raised me and trained me.

"Ah Fancy please please sit." Giving a nod sitting in the chair setting the chest down on the table with my magic. I shifted a bit. I hated chairs having four legs and sitting in a chair makes no sense to me at all. Frozen hoof had an ice colored appearance. She gave me a piping hot cup of tea. Lifting it up in my magic taking a sip.

"Alright Fancy now tell me what did you find here?" The large unicorn mare used her magic to study the box mouthing Be honest.

"I found it in the old Museum in the city. A lot of ponies were there to old frozen ponies. I found this with it." Setting down the cube she took a close look at it. But didn't start it up. She opened it up looking at the core that seems to be really badly frost burnt. She looked through some boxes finding another core setting it back down.

" Now let’s get this open." She touched the chest feeling the spell blinking nodding. " Hmm impressive a depression spell." She quickly went back to her boxes bringing out a bunch of powder and strange magic items. She made a ring with the powder then placed magic item's around the box. Using a spell with her horn to make the chest glow brightly. The spell looked to be a low-level spell.

The chest groaned snapping the locks slowly give way and the words on the chest light up like its a beacon. The chest slowly opened up. She looked inside her eye's opening wide taking out what it is. It's a strange key. But there was a problem, The feeling of being watched hit me again. I could tell that my friend knew what it was. She looked around in haste trying to find something to remove a spell.

But before she could the strange key let out a pulse that caused all of us to fly back. I hit a wall Sparks hit beside me and Frozen hoof smashed into her boxes. The shock wave went through the entire town. Any pony out there felt it. Some would feel power attached to this thing. A voice came over the PA

"Ponies of the Remnant I'm sure you all have felt that power that was just released. It's a sign that our rise again is nigh. Ponies of the Remnant storm the Treasure hunter's guild. Bring me that magic." Frozen Hoof rushed to me placing the strange item in my bag's.

"You need to leave quickly." She said I was about to ask why. But there was a commotion outside the room screaming and fighting. "Don't leave the city right away. They will think you have what they’re after. Head to the bar in the slums. I will come to you then. Keep your buggy here as well. Protect her Sparks." Sparks gave a nod. I stood up slowly walking outside the room. Keeping my bags close to me. It was hell out here. The army of the Remnant attacking the treasure hunters.

Of course, the treasure hunters had the upper hoof. That was because of what they normally found. But the battle at the moment was done. Laying on the ground where the living and the dead. The treasure hunters took out the army. Now, this is not the main force. The main force is even more deadly. Outside of the city hall, it was pretty calm. But that's it for now. The PA system cam eon again.

"Ponies of the Remnant a great power has surfaced. It's held inside the Treasure hunter's guild. Take it by force you want our faction to live? Then take out every treasure hunter you see. " Sparks slapped my cutie mark with something looking to my flank seeing that she made me a blank flank.

"I need to meet with a friend Fancy. Head to the slums." She spread out her wings and flew off. I was on my own heading to the slums. What's interesting about the slum's here that it's pretty much fenced off many deadly creatures live in the slums. But it's also used to protect those that wish to hide.

Slowly walking through the slow to get to the bar in the slums. This place full of the dying and those that couldn't breed. If those can't breed they’re banished here to die. Slowly walking into the slums. I saw some mare's dancing on the stage pretty erotically. My cheeks turned bright red. But I needed to be here before I could leave. This bar was also an inn. But I had to get out of here somehow.

Sitting at a private booth alone to make sure I didn't get anyone to bother me. Setting my bags down to make sure no one pony could see them. One of the waitresses came up to me. Looking over to the mare. She had a beauty of her that made me jealous. She held herself with such grace.

" Can I get you anything?" She asked softly. My cheeks burned at her voice as well. But I coughed.

"Ah yes I would like some heart's desire." The mare smirked nodding. She walked off to the bar to get my drink. I sat there watching displays that would make others blush. This was the only place to hid. So if I wanted to have some fun I would. But I doubt any would find beauty in me. The mare brought the drink to me. It was a gentle read with a rose in the fluid. The mare gave me a gentle kiss on my cheek and winked.

" I am off in an hour so. How about my room...Us together and some fun." My face turned bright red she left slapping her tail under my chin-stroking it along. I shivered deeply loving the feel of the mare's tail. I didn't even know her name. But I have heard rumors these mares can take care of themselves.

Taking a drink from the heart's desire it tasted wonderful. A voice came over my Com. " I am sorry Fancy but I'm going to be stuck here awhile. I'm going to be there tomorrow with the buggy. But things are pretty bad The remnant is starting an all-out attack on the treasure hunters. But that's not the biggest thing, We need to leave the city."

Blinking. "What do you mean leave the city?" I asked.

"They won't stop till they find you. Lucky for me I know of an old cave I used to hide out in. But I need you to do what you do best Fancy and well sleep with mare's."

" Oh come on that was just one time."

" Right...Anyway, Take care, Fancy. Keep that bag sealed. I will tell you everything later."

I sighed and sat at the table for a while. That mare I got to know brought me food. The food of this land was sadly meat. it's harder to find any fruits or veggies these days since the snow kind of kills everything grown. It takes some special room but the mare had her hour up She took me to her room and she did something no pony ever has done. She started the bath for me.

" Um, what's that for?" I asked.

" I'm going to clean you up. Now before I do this you big bashful goof. I'm Spade a former guard for the Remnant. But of course, the leader was threatened by my beauty and well banished me to the slum's Now what about you hmm?" She forced me into the tub she was an earth pony so I had to do what she said. She started to clean my scar's and old wounds. Along with my flesh that was old frostbitten

" I'm Fancy Fleur. A treasure hunter and.." She put the soap to my neck and chuckled softly.

" Are you the one that caused all those issues in the main city? The one that caused the army to go insane trying to attack the guild?" I sighed giving a nod. " Ah, do you know why they did that to you?" I shrugged. Spade smirked cleaning the rest of me off and then helped me out of the tub.

" Well then now I promised you some fun." Blinking she kissed me deeply pushing me into the bed. I lay there not sure what was going to happen...Oh hello!!

I opened my eye's slightly Spade was already out looking through my bags. Yawning. " Um, what are you doing?" She looked up to me and smirked.

"Looking for my payment for pleasing you." She then opened the bag that had the item. She stared at it closing the bag back up. Looking at me with her pink eyes. She knew what it was I could tell from the look on her face. That she knew what that thing was or thought she knew. "I need to get you out of here."

" Why what is so important about that thing?" Spade looked at me with fear in her eyes.

" Fleur you don't understand. I'm an earth pony and I can feel the magic on that thing. This is powerful magic. This item you found needs to be hidden. Lucky for me we are in my room." She grins heading into the back room. I heard her doing something. Looking to the bed that was a mess of our sweat and lovemaking. My cheeks burned.

The door opened and a large mare in a suit of armor came out. The suit had strange hydraulics in it as they hissed and spit. The suit had heating coils on it to keep her warm. On the sides of the armor melee weapons. The helm was the shape of her face and head. It had a visor that opened up

"Let’s go." Nodding grabbing my bags But a voice came over my com.

"Fleur I got the Buggy but I don't think I will be able to get to you. The remnant is searching for all the buildings in the slums. I need you to find your way out of the slums."

Spade turned to me and chuckled. "So you have a friend that wishes to get out of the slums?. Heh, come with me." Nodding taking my bag's she leads me downstairs. The bartender looked at me nodding.

" You two better hurry. Take the old sewers." Blinking the old sewers? I followed my new friend to the back and we opened a grate and went down into the sewers. The smell was pretty old. Like no pony has been down here in years. But that is not true I could smell that something is down here.

" Um...whats down here?" Spade turned back to me.

" Hmm, let’s see ponies that will kill for anything. Creatures that find way's through the army and well." I heard strange hissing looking behind me seeing strange serpent-like creatures. They move and hiss. "Also them. If you don't bother them they stay away from you. They’re called The Serpent's tooth."

I Stared at them they looked like snake's with magic ruin's on their bodies. In front of me, a group of them stood in front of a gated part of the sewers. Spade, lead me to them she bowed her head in respect. Then she kneels to them showing more than respect. She looks at me." These creatures believe themselves higher than the ponies on the top of the land. So respect them by kneeling like me."

Blinking nodding Kneeling myself one of them came up to me slithering he had his hood spray out. This creature wore heavy old Equestrian armor. A helm of a captain on his head. When he spoke it sound of hisses. " Thank you... For honor uses Miss Spade. Now I have been told you have something that is causing you to be on the run.."

Giving a nod standing back up on my hooves. They lead us through the sewer's away from the gate deeper into their little city. Looking above a door it said Guard house. I set the bag down there opening it up for them to see. The captain looked into it. His eye's stayed calm and looked up to his guard's.

"Make Sure no ponies come down here...If it's a treasure hunter let them through." Blinking a moment.

" Um, what did I find?"

He looked up to me with a smile. "The future or if it gets into what you call the wrong hooves death." Horror forms on my face. If it got into the wrong hooves? Looking over to Spade she shrugged. I couldn't tell if she was winking at me or not. But she seemed to want to follow me through this thing.

"What you found.." The snake lifted the treasure out with magic made arm. But it only was there for a second. The item landed on the table. "This is the past or a past we had." The hiss from him is gone. He is speaking more normally now."A past that happen before this world we are in now." He sighed softly. Looking towards a bookshelf he hissed using to bring a book that is locked. The title is gone.

"Give this book to a decedent to or extended family of the past. Only then it will be unlocked. You aren’t the hero of this fight little one. You're just the messenger." Spade chuckled.

"To think I just slept with the mare that is going to help save the world." My cheeks burned brightly. "Now Klang can we get out of here?"

The snake looked up nodding. "A warning about what is behind that gate. Many ponies from above come down there to think. They can control what's below. But they can't. You will be finding and fighting something far worse. But You will see when you get there."

They lead us out of their little home heading to the gate. Two females guard the way out looking at their captain.

" Let these ponies go." They nod opening the gate. "Get out of Manehatten go to a place that they will never find you. You two are going to help save this world. By finding the hero that will save it. " Blinking a moment.

"I know just the place to take her. Cantorlot, It's one of the few places ponies refuse to go to." Klang gave a nod.

Sounds above of ponies screaming. "Ah yes, it's started." He lifted up magic placing the item back into my bags. "Run and don't look back." Gave a nod. Spade and I went into the gate and a wall came down fully to block it

Spade turned to look at me removing her helm a second shaking her mane a bit to get it untangled. "So miss Hero how do you wish to go?"

"I will go along with what you had in mind," Spade smirked coming closer to me kissing me on the lips then pulling away with a wink.

" Oh if you go along with me. It would be more fun than just moving along." Again my cheeks burned. " But you wish to follow me?" Giving a quick nod. She smirked then reached into her bag. Bringing out a lighter version of the armor she has. "Put this on. It's a lighter version of what I am using. It will keep you from getting frostbite."

A soft sigh came from my mouth putting the armor on. It's so light then placing the helm on I felt warm inside this thing. A display came up. I could see on the display my entire body. How my blood pressure is my beat's per min. My vessels in my legs. As well as how healthy my brain is. I gasped in pain a bit. Feeling something trying to repair my body a bit. Looking at the display it said it was cleaning up old scar tissue.

" A bit of a warning with that suit. It will try to repair some of your old scars and wounds. It will also heal you. But you need to keep that feature running. Now be prepared there is worse down here then ponies that will kill you." I had no idea what she said to that. But then I heard soft groaning turning to see ponies with blinded eyes. All of them look pure white. All their fur is gone as well.

"These are the snow blind ponies. But you only see them under the Remnant areas. If you just walk past them they won't bother you."

Giving a nod Spade put her helm back on. Slowly walked along the path in the sewers. It was going to take us a while to get. Looking at her armor she had a strange weapon on her two front hooves. Looking down at my armor I had the same thing. Looking up at the creature's that slowly walk by us. I could hear them speak.

"Lost...alone..." These poor ponies are down here just because they don't wish to be part of the community? Sighing stepping on board causing a loud noise. Looking at the blind ponies turning to us. Spade and I stopped watching. She leaned over to whisper.

"No sound's and they will leave us alone." The snow blind ponies get closer to us. I could feel my stomach knot up as they try to find us. They do even touch me. I wanted to run. But Spade stayed close to me So I don't just run away like a wimp. I felt my heartbeat fast. The creature’s slowly left I breathed out walking further along. Spade lead the way I followed her the best I could.

Most of what I found down here are old bodies that are very very well preserved. Some have horror on their faces. This ain't the first time I found bodies like this. I'm a treasure hunter after all. I just never found snow blind ponies before. Stopping a moment Spade turned to look at me being a bit taller then me I looked up at her.

"I know you're scared Fleur.. But you need to relax and just ignore the world around you. It's going to get worse before we get away from the Remnant."

I took a deep breath " Do you know the fastest way to get to Manehatten 20th bank?" Spade nodded. "That's where I live. Maybe it's wise to get some supplies there wait for Sparks and then get out of here." I could tell Spade was thinking and nodded.

" That is not going to be very easy to break through the ice Fleur. But I am strong enough to do so. But the issue is getting there. We have to go through some nasty creatures." Blinking I had no idea what she meant by nasty creatures. But we followed a sign that led us to the road that the bank is located at. 9 and 5th pony trot. But I started seeing some strange nest. The nest had egg's inside them.

"Oh, a bit of a warning Fleur. Don't let these larva touch your skin. If they do they dig inside you. You become a hive for them and then they eat you from the inside out. Then you spawn them." My eyes went wide. I know she could see them. But she turned some strange flame on. Burning the egg's to make sure they didn't hatch. She then turned to me with a smirk. "Now lets hurry before they get pissed."

A weapon formed on my hoof lifting it up as we walk along. The sewers is going to be much harder to get through. Keeping the weapon level to make sure I will be able to attack. The weapon looked to be a long dull sword. It hasn't be sharpened in along time. So I doubt I could hurt anyone.

From behind us, I could hear some crazy hoof steps coming toward's us I turned seeing the Remnant army well a small force they all had some armor. But they looked at us and called out " Hey did you see any ponies come this way?" Spade turned out and thought of what to say.

"They kept going ahead of you. if you catch them you could stop them." The pony gave a nod and spoke again.

" Why are you two heading that way then?"

"An order from the Prime leader to get out of the city. My friend here has a message that needs to be delivered." They noded and move on the way we could of went but didn't. I sighed breathing deeply Spade looked at me nodding. Then we started to move on. The bug's stayed away from us because from what I noticed they couldn't see us.

"There is a blocker on these suit's Fleur. If you hide every inch of your fur. They won't be able to see you. But don't let them even touch you. But you may do this." She stabs her weapon into one of the large bugs. Causing it to scream and tossing it away as the other bugs eat their wounded. She chuckles softly.

We finally find the way up to the road but it's iced over. Spade stood on her back hooves smashing into the ice. I waited because this sound was attracting something. But for now, it stayed clear of us before it could do anything. I could hear the ice break. But it would take her some time. I heard growling making the weapon appear again. Seeing the bug creatures angry that we are disturbing them.

The ones that get closer I dig my blade into them. Causing them to eat the one that is wounded. "HUrry Spade I don't know how long I can keep this up." Stabbing into another tossing the body away. Snowblind ponies coming from the other side. Turning to one of the snow blind slicing their neck. Allowing the bugs to eat them. "Spade!!! Hurry."

I could hear Spade working harder I could tell she was getting tired. I felt a hoof smack me in my helm hard enough to stagger me into the bugs they started to bite my armor. I yelled stabbing wildly trying to break through them. Getting back up feeling that some bites did hurt but didn't put anything inside me like their eggs. Finally, Spade broke out. The two of us went up the ladder as quickly as we could.

Finally getting up on the surface. We were a block away from the bank. I could see the creature blockers. " My home is this way." Getting into the bank. It was calm but very cold. I rushed to the heater turning them on removing the armor groaning. Grabbing the battery charger attaching it to my horn to charge some batteries.

" Hmm, so you live here?" Spade smirks removing the armor laying beside me kissing my face. "By the way your mine now. You impressed me."

"I um..you barely know me."

"So? This world is killed or be killed freeze or stay warm. Best way to stay warm wild sex." She grins. My face turned bright red speaking in my com.

"Sparks I am back at our place are you able to get here?" At the moment there is static but then she speaks.

"Yes, I am but their starting to spread into the city to search for you and your new sex toy."

" Oh, I like you. " Spade said.

" Good for you. But anyway thanks to where the bank is located it would take them a month to find us. We need to be out of here sooner than that."

" What about the rest of our treasures?"

"We will be taking them with us. I know a place we can hide. But that would be driving through the wasteland." Giving a nod sighing softly setting the com down. My stomach growled I haven't eaten anything for a while now. Starting a fire grabbing our stores of meat starting to cook it.

"Hmm, it's hard to Impress me Fleur. So no matter what if you find a stallion to give you a foal you are mine." Blinking staring at her.

"I um...."

"No ifs or butts I am your alpha here.." She grins darkly at me. I just stared at her. I have never met a mare like this before. I have slept with many. But one like this is impressive to me. Sighing putting the meat in a pot with some snow to melt it into water. Closing my eye's a bit feeling the large mare wrap herself around me keeping me warm.

" Spade please...I'm." She smiles sweetly at me I could see her eye's again I stayed silent. She looked like she cared for me. " Again you barely know me, Spade.."

"Fleur you need to understand. I'm alone as well. You have a friend in the one named Sparks. I have no one. I'm just a waitress looking for the next conquest in sex. So please let me have this adventure with you. Even if I give you pleasure along the way." I sighed nodding softly. " Thank you."

My horn glowed softly recharging the batteries of our armor. Looking at the heater's who are powered by the same type of magic. But they last longer than normal. Spade nuzzled me gently I have never felt so warm in my life. Looking to her with a smirk.

"So Um why did they kick you out of the guard? I am sure there is more to it then I was more beautiful than the leader. I am sure there is a reason for it."

Spade sighed and smirked softly. "I was kicked out because I slept with the leader's daughter on the eve of her wedding. But that wasn't the only reason they kicked me out. It was the biggest reason. The biggest reason was that I didn't allow them to kick ponies out of a building that wasn't Remnant land. That's the issue with them. They think all of Manehatten belongs to them."

I tilted my head not sure of what to think with that. "Sounds like the Remnant. When I was growing up I have never been in any part of the Remnant because back then. The city hall was never in the lands of the Remnant. It happens after Snow Hoof kicked me out to become a full Treasure hunter."

Spade sighed nodding. "I was born in the Remnant. My family made me take care of my beauty so I could be a knock out like this." She grins. " So I could get many many foals. So whatever stallion wishes to fill you with foals. I want the same from the stallion."

My cheeks burned bright red. " Spade...I doubt I would find a stallion that is willing to give me his foals." Spade laughs nuzzling my face a bit looking into my eyes.

" If you impressed me little Messenger then you will impress a stallion."

Sparks walked into the building looking at the mare whose body is all over me. " Well Fleur it seems you have a mare attached to you now," Sparks said with a smirk.

" Hello, Sparks." Spades eyes open wide staring at the dragon.

" You're friends with a dragon?"

I gave a nod. " Meet Sparks she helped me live out hereafter Snow hoof kicked me out. But Sparks why will it take them a month to look for us?"

Sparks smiled. "Well, I told them where you used to live." Blinking I used to live in Bridleway... oh, It's very far away from here. Just getting there now is bad. When I was younger it was easy. But now the beast took over that area. Blinking a bit the meat was done. it was burnt a bit. Lifting up the meat setting a plate down for Spade and then Sparks.

" Well, let’s eat and then get the buggy ready," Sparks smirked.

" Nope, you have a mare to please now."

" I what?"

Spade grins eating the meat. " Oh, I like your friend. She knows what the best way to live is. So yes after we eat she has a mare to please."

Sparks laughs. "You will be busy most of the day little Fancy Fleur."

A sigh came out of my mouth. I never knew getting pleased by one mare. This ain't the first time of course. I pleased a mare. But Spade is the first that followed me. I wasn't used to that fact. I thought sex was just sex. Sparks left the room while she was eating carrying a bunch of boxes outside.

" Forgive me Spade I am not used to the fact that you like me. I am just used to having a one night stand with a mare. Then going our own way."

Spade smirks. "Eh, I am that way myself. But the fact you wish to protect an item from the past. Well, that just impresses me. You wish to get away from the Remnant granted they're not evil. But their leader is. I should know...she is my sister. Her name is Clubs. She wants this power badly. Also, she is a unicorn." Blinking a moment I have never heard of the names of the leaders."

" So wait you slept with the daughter of the leader?"

" Yup, I slept with my brother bride to be." She said with a smirk. " His name is King's. She was kind of forced to marry him. Of course, after our fun, she was killed for soiling her soul. So she died and I was turned into a guard because of that. Then I did more things that made them fully kick me out of the remnant. My younger brother Joker thought it would be funny. if I was in the slum's offering myself. So I got hired as a waitress."

Laughing softly. " I see so are all your family named after cards?" She nodded.

" Oddly our mother and father thought it would be funny. So yes they named me Spades because well they wished to. I'm not evil or stupid like my family. I care about ponies I respect ponies. I do want sex alot yes. But I'm not going to just force it."

A smile formed on my face Sparks called out. " Go head to your room you two and fuck the living hell out of each other. Because I won't allow any more sex for a while till you get to were we are going." A blush formed brightly on my face. The large earth pony mare stood up. Smirking down at me.

" Come along little Fleur I will please you again to the point you scream." She pulled me by the tail pulling me into my room. My room was mainly just a bed and that it. She forced me on there with a dark evil smile on her face. " Aww, the bed is too small." She got on the bed beside me kissing me deeply. I just thought I would go along with it. Kissing her back allowing our lust to build.

In the night we made our love. It was amazing of course but I did do what she said she would get me to do. I screamed. But I woke up in the middle of the night. She wasn't there with me. I stood up coming out of the room to hear her and Sparks talk.

"Thank you for protecting her Spade's. I know that's not easy for you since...your family is who they are. But again thank you. I know that She thinks we don't know each other. But Snow Hoof really did ask you to protect her?"

" Yes having sex with her is a bonus. But Snow Hoof also wants me to fall in love with her. She doesn’t want her adopted daughter to be alone in the love department anymore. But the thing is.. I have no idea what love is. No pony does in this day and age."

" Love like friendship is an old concept. Ponies need both to survive through this. Anyway sorry for waking you. Go back and warm her up." Blinking rushing back to bed and pretending to be asleep. Spade's lay beside me. But I had a smile on my face. Sparks wanted her to be my friend and fall in love with me? Maybe this journey will be a good one after all.

Chapter two: Escape Manehatten.

I felt large hooves shake me awake. Looking up to see Spade's gentle white eyes. She had fear in them. "Fleur Sparks said's the army is getting closer. She is setting the blocker's to blow to call the monster's roaming what is left the city." I quickly got out of bed. This place has been my home for years. But I needed to get out. Sparks came back in looking at me with a sigh.

"I'm sorry Fancy. It seems they have a device that can track the magic of what we found. So we need to get to Canterlot ruins to hide it." Giving a nod quickly grabbing all my gear heading to the buggy. It was full of all our gear three seat's opening for my new friend's lover? She turned to me wearing her heavy armor. Forcing me into the light armor taking her helm off to give me a deep kiss. The kiss made me blush but I didn't care at all I had a large smile on my face during the kiss.

Behind us, we could hear the army breaking into the back door. I could hear them yelling. "Don't let them get away." The three of us quickly got into the buggy. Sparks started the buggy up she then placed the battery charger on my horn to charge the batteries of the buggy. " Get them!!" They toss strange spears at the three of us as we drive off. The blocker that kept the monsters out of our home exploded. Making a loud enough sound to attract them. But it was going to be harder to get through Manehattan.

So many buildings fell during whatever happened. So we need to find a way to drive through here. But we put up the windshield and the windows. It's going to be hard to keep the buggy charged with the heat going. So we did this to make sure the heat stayed inside. We went through the old roads. Sparks sighed.

"It's going to take a while to get through this city." Gave a nod looking over to Spades who had her entire armor on. She seemed to relax spiraling her large earth pony body out. "I'm sorry Fancy I didn't think they would chase you." Sparks calmly said.

"Its fine Sparks. I doubted that as well." I said softly. " But I think the fact I am with the leader's sister now. Had something to do with it. But I am truly unsure. Just why Canterlot?"

"Well, that's where the first Treasure hunter's guild was formed and where the one's from the remnant are running to. So I felt it would be best to get us there as well." Giving a nod looking back to Spade again who seemed to be fast asleep with the helm on her head.

" Sparks should I trust Spade" Sparks turned to look at me.

" Yes her great grandmother is an old friend of mine. She cares for you even though all you two have done is have sex. But with how the world is now.It's all you can do to enjoy life before dying."

I gave a nod that is the truth. I was born in an old settlement that used to be around. But most of them left to join the Remnant. My family since my father slept with every mare he could. I have many stepbrothers and sisters. But sadly that is how life is in this day and age. But I am sure Spade has nothing related to me in her body. Since she doesn't act like a worthless child. Like most of my family does. Also an old friend of hers I had no idea how old Sparks was at all. I may have to ask her sometime we have known each other for years. In fact, she even said she was there for my birth.

" Oh, Fleur I ran into your father. He asked how is that wonderful Treasure hunter daughter of mine. I just calmly said. You're good sleeping around with every mare you see as always."

I sighed, rolling my eyes. I hated my father. I didn't like how he treated my mother. Snow Hoof is my mother even if she didn't act like it. She acted more as she trained me. But she is my mother. I love her so much and I hope she will be there when we get to Canterlot.

" I have a feeling we won't get out of the city. It's around the time of year when the beasts are in their mating season I think." Sparks nodded. Yes around this time of year it was harder to get around. But the fact we could even get into the remnant was a bad thing. The remnant didn't use to be so warlike at least when I was younger they were more respectful.

"Sparks. I got a question. Why did the Remnant leader's turn so evil?" Sparks looked over to me then over to Spade. She sighed softly.

"I don't know your wife to be doesn't even know." Blinking at that. "The remnant has been getting more and more jealous of the treasure hunter's guild for years. They find so much it upset them. To the point, they wished to take what they could from them."

Sighing opening my bag looking at the strange magic item that was found in the chest. I wish I knew what this was. I was even given a book to know what it was. But being told I had to find the hero and me just being the messenger for this little journey. Of course, it's pretty normal. With my horn, I lifted it looking at it closer.

"Fleur that's not wise to even try to wear that." Giving a nod placing it back in my bag. Of course, it's a good idea to do so I don't cause another shock wave or attract that silly nightmare creature thing. I don't want to have to deal with that again. Just having to deal with the creatures in this city is enough.

We finally get stuck in a snowdrift on the road. Sparks sighed turning off the buggy grabbing a shovel and digging us out but that would take a while. Getting out myself grabbing the other shovel digging through the snow to try to get the wheel unstuck. But while we dug we found many bodies very well preserved and all had the look of horror on their faces.

Sparks sighed. She was old. I am sure she knew what it was like back then. But seeing these bodies and the horror they had it's new to me. "These deaths are very recent." She calmly said. Blinking a moment thinking to myself. These are recent? Looking at the bodies closer. They had the same horror on their faces as the one's in the bank. that nightmare creature has been here.

" That nightmare creature has been here..." Sparks gave a nod.

" I haven't seen it since we left the Museum. But I do have a feeling that we will see it again." Giving a nod I had a feeling we would as well. But I wanted to move the bodies. Lifting some of the bodies gently with my magic gently placing them in the snow away from the road. They didn't deserve to be run over. That's just wrong and not a pony thing. Setting the bodies back down. Letting them be dead in peace.

"Alright, I think that's.." A large growl is heard and heavy stomping. "Oh, crap..." Sparks stood up quickly standing in front of me and the buggy nod moved. The stomps got closer along with the growling and roaring. We saw it finally but it was hidden like an Ursa major and minor normally are. We stood still as the mother walked through the area with her cubs. We could see their eye's and they looked right at us.

But they kept moving on. It's going to be hard to get through here if we run into all the creatures that set their homes here. I would hate to run into a family of Hydra's and no way to take them down. I don't have the magic to fight one. I don't even have the magic to fight one of the Feral dragons. Looking around quickly another group of Ursas walked to the other side. Sparks blinked.

" This is not normal.." Sparks softly said. "This only happens when something bad is about to happen." She looked at my bag. Looking back at all the Ursa's trying to get out of manehattan as well. It's been years since I have seen Sparks like this. I have never seen her have this type of fear in years. So something I did started all this. But that's not the only creature we saw. Spades even woke up seeing what was coming.

Little Foxes, Even a few Manticore's passed us, one of them turning to look at me. It looked at the bag pointing with its tail at the bag and then at me. Like it was trying to tell me something. Then it stabbed into the ground. It's trying to tell me something. Looking back at the bag. Then back at Manticore. It's something new to me. But something in that bag is causing this to happen. But they kept moving. Watching all the creature's book.

"They all heading to the Everfree forest or what is left of it. That forest hasn't changed a bit since this happen." Looking over to Spark's I have only been in there once. But that was when I was very young and told never to go in there again. I was with my mother on a treasure hunt. Closing my eyes tightly sighing. Hearing louder roar's. Finally looking up at one old Hydra it's head's stared at me.

One of them lowered its head to look at the bag and then back at me. It snorted leaving me alone now. I had a feeling that I got to set something bad in motion. Looking to Spade who came out of the buggy wrapping her front hooves around me. I was very unsure about what I did now. I caused something to happen so soon. That I am not willing to fight anything right. Spade gently kissed the back of my head.

" Don't worry Fleur you didn't know." Looking up to her with a frown nodding. " You did what you felt was right to find a treasure. For you shouldn't care about the world around you because you're a treasure hunter. But please care about my world."

A smile formed on my face. leaning into Spade. I wanted to care for her and fall deeply for her. Since she makes me feel safe. Of course, it would take me time to fall for her. But at least we will still have wonderful sexual fun. But the creature's seemed to have stopped coming through for the time being.

"It might be best to get going. There is an old hotel ahead of us. We can rest there and charge the buggy up. I doubt it's wise to keep going with all these creatures roaming around. It might get harder to move along the city. Because there are so many of them wishing to get into the way."

Giving a nod Spade jumped back into the back. But we had to keep digging through the snow to get the wheel's out of the snowbank. Digging the snow away from the tires. Looking to the old Motel ahead. Finally, the snow was fully gone now around the wheels. Folding the shovel back up putting it back in the buggy and getting inside.

Sparks got in again driving off to the motel but it wasn't the one ahead of us. It was another one farther in the city. Since getting out of Manehattan is hard now with all the beast roaming around at this time. We stopped in the parking lot with more beasts walking past us. I sighed. We removed what we needed from the buggy getting our meat from our heater's. Taking the battery out of the buggy to charge it.

A sigh came from my mouth and we walked slowly into the hotel. Most of the building is very well kept inside. But most of the upper levels look collapsed. So for the moment, it's safer to stay in the lobby. I set the heater on in the middle of the lobby turning it on sighing softly. Looking to Spade who removed her entire armor. Her beauty shined in sweat. I just stared at her. I never met a mare who had a perfect beauty before. She looked at me with a gentle smile.

" You got something to say Fleur?" A blink came from my eye's taking off my helm.

" I um..."

"I am sure what's going on in her mind is Spade. Is that you're so beautiful that it's a flawless beauty."

Spade laughed. I removed my armor as well and my beauty wasn't as Flawless as hers. But she didn't seem to care that I had old scars. She wrapped her large front earth pony legs around me. Pulling me against her large body. "I think it's because of my genes mostly. But my beauty is all yours." She chuckled.

" He sounds good to me, Spade. But I want to explore this place. But for the moment I just want to rest and relax with you." Sparks laughed.

" I will leave you two love birds alone. I am going to let you two talk more. Oh and please Move the heater into the storage room and lock the door. I will knock to let you know I am back." The two of us nodded. I lifted the heater and our armor to the storage room.

I set down the armor and the heater. I sat beside Spade looking at her. Both of us stayed silent for the moment. But she spoke up. "Well, I have been pregnant before. I can tell you have been as well." Blinking nodding. I was pregnant before because of a lottery. It's a lottery you're chosen from a list. But the issue with being a treasure hunter. Your children are taken away from you. So they can become another treasure hunter.

"Yes, I had one foal. Sadly for treasure hunter's our foal's are taken from us and given to the treasure hunters to raise them. Kind of like what happened to me. But my mother is the founder of the one's in Manehattan it well was easy for me." Spade smiled nodding.

"Yes, my son hates my guts since my family tells him to lie's. So If we ever run into my son Joker please knock some sense into him." Giving her a nod. Looking around the storage room. Slowly standing on my hooves. Looking through the old boxes in the storage room. Finding a file cabinet of old files. Pulling a few of them out with my magic. Taking them back to Spade sitting down to open them up.

They were still readable which to me is very odd. Looking through one of them. The dates have been removed but one of them said. " The princess is on their way." Blank "Talks all of Equestria will be here. But no pony knows what will fix it." Blank. " Maybe they will come up with a plan to fix it."

Lifting an old Newspaper. It said on it the dates have been removed. "The talks with the rest of Equestria have failed. No pony can agree on how to deal with it." Blank. " But most have been showing armor that could be built to fight what is coming. But too much of this wouldn't work. But the." Blank." It is all we can know in the end. But the three known as the CMC have an idea. But we don't know what will happen to the rest of us."

Lifting a memory cube with my magic. Looking at a paper that came with it. "Hey, Scoot's it's your old pal the most awesome mare around. I'm not sure when I would see you again. So I am leaving this memory cube here as a gift for your next birthday. I set it to your DNA so if any pony is reading this and trying to open it. I set a booby trap to fry your brain out."

Blinking placing it inside my bag. "Uh, Spade doesn’t even try to open that." Opening another file looking down the list. It's a list of what the Motel has already. The list is a bit smudged but one thing I can make out is batteries for lanterns. Hmm maybe I should hunt for them I set the list in front of Spade.

" Can you search for these?" Spade gave a nod standing up looking through the boxes in the storage room. But I found another Newspaper. It said at the top. 'The End of the world!!" The date is blank again. I read on. "The world is coming to an end. All the studies and prevention that Twilight tried to perform hasn't helped. All ponies say goodbye to your families and put your affairs in order. Try to ask the Princess is this in their grand plan" I thought to myself the Princess is just Princess why do they act like their Goddesses?

"But they have told us they can't stop this doomsday. But they can ease the problem. They have promised a powerful spell that could save us from this issue. But sadly we all have to be at Canterlot and there is not enough room there for everypony. Discord even offered his magic. But thanks to the test Twilight has done his magic no longer works." The paper stopped there. It was mostly about sports and what is the best food to eat at the moment.

I sighed, shaking my head. I wish I could know what happened. Sparks even knows what happened. But she and the other dragons refuse to speak of it. Looking through the files more. But the rest of them are burned. I have no idea why anybody is here. But when I looked into a closet I finally saw why. There is a dead body of a bear here. It looks like it took bodies of ponies living and dead to eat them. Then got locked inside here.

A soft sigh filled me looking over to Spade who found more boxes. This was getting dull but we needed the paper to make a fire. Looking through most of the boxes but it wasn't much left on there. Just old order's setting the fire but getting ready to make sure it wouldn't catch the entire building on fire. But it's a small fire. I placed a pot over it. Spade went outside to get snow for the water.

I sighed softly. " Spade I am not used to some pony wanting me because I am me." Spade laughed.

" Oh come on Fleur. I want you because you're weaker than me. I am larger than you. I can do what I want to you to make you scream. But my biggest thing. I can protect you. I want to feel that I can protect some Pony and I will protect you." A soft blush formed on my face. I never thought I would need to be protected but of course, I found something that would cause a problem.

After a while, we ate our food, and Sparks finally came in after a while. She fell right to sleep. But Spade and I went off to a little more private part of the room. Not to do anything to nuts. Just that Spade wanted to know me a little more. I felt maybe it's wise that we do learn to know each other.

" Well, the stallion that gave me a foal was kind of a jerk. He didn't give me time to enjoy it. He just went nuts inside me and then well he was done. Said you're too weak for me to enjoy you." I sighed as Spade rolled her eyes.

" That's nothing. I sleep with stallions all the time. But the one that gave me a foal. It was very sweet and kind to me. He wanted to marry me but of course, my family being how they are they didn't like him. All they wanted from him is the foal. So they killed him right in front of me and forced me to raise him. But of course, when I was kicked out he hates me now."

Nuzzled into Spade gently. " With your beauty, I am sure many wishes to give you love. I'm willing to do the same just to give you all my heart." I said softly. Finally seeing a blush form on Spade's face. But right now I wasn't going to fully pursue this till we made it to. "But I am willing to share my life with you. But I would say it's best not to do so till we get to Canterlot to talk about it more.

Spade nodded. " I agree it's hard to focus on love when you have to deal with crises. But sex on the other hoof. It is always something I am looking forward to." She smirked at me. My cheeks turned bright red. Why is sex always on her mind. But I am sure there is a reason for it. She was in a bar for so long she has the body of an angel at least in my opinion. I leaned into her and I felt my heart gently beat. She was so warm. I looked so small compared to her. I loved it.

" It's amazing how did earth pony like you get so large?"

She shrugged. " I am not sure I think it has something to do with earth ponies in situations like the end of the world. But the fact I got this beauty and smooth fur. I think it's the fact of how I was raised to take care of myself. Now I can tell you weren't able to take care of yourself."

Giving a nod looking at all the scars and old frostbite spots. They have healed but the fur never grew back. Some of the fur on my body is growing back but it would take time for a lot of that to happen. Looking at myself still, I didn't have the beauty I did have in my face. But the rest of my body was just very worn. But of course, that's from being a treasure hunter. Being a treasure hunter you do so much to yourself that your body can't keep up with you.

" So tell me what happened to the old leaders of the remnant?" Spade sighed looking away with a blush and then a smile.

"The old leader of the remnant was my husband to be. But my family killed the rest of his to make sure they could get the power they wanted. So they just wanted me to sleep with him so I could get his foal and then they could have full control. That's sadly how this world works now. I'm sure the other factions are the same way."

Horror filled my eyes. I knew the family that used to run the Remnants. But why would ponies be this willing to kill over power? I don't understand this one bit. It kind of bothers me so much. But I guess it's how it's mean to be in the long run. It's how this world is. I lay my head on her back closing my eyes I felt very tired after all this. But I wanted to stay awake to talk to her.

" Heh, My little mare tired?" I gave a nod. Spade gently licked my head slowly nuzzling along me to help me fall asleep, my eyes slowly closed as I felt the sleep take me.

Opening my eyes I felt hooves on my side. Looking up seeing Spade's face. She smiled and kissed me gently. I slowly stood up. Seeing Sparks already took everything to the buggy. Putting on the armor to keep warm. We went outside and Sparks crest was fully out of her head. I knew what this was if something was wrong.

" Sparks?"

Sparks looked at me with a smile. " Come on let’s go before whatever is coming gets to us." The three of us get into the Buggy but before the buggy start's a large dark figure hover over us. Looking up we saw the nightmare creature looking around for us. It looked to be having a hard time spotting us since the buggy blends in with the snow.

I softly whispered. " It doesn't see us. It seems to only sense us when the magic is around." Sparks nodded, starting the buggy slowly driving away. But the creature still followed along with us. Looking around with us. It seemed to know we were close but we stopped in the middle of the road to wait for it to go away. It looked around more. it spoke softly.

" You can't hide from me.." It said darkly but then it vanished for the time being. It looks like it isn't as strong as most would think. I sighed deeply looking behind me to see Spade not sure what to think. But I could tell she knew what that thing was. It could be from old history books maybe but it's very easy to tell.

"Spades you act like you know that thing." She turned to me, removing the helm from her head. She shook her mane out of her eyes. Looking towards me with a gentle smile on her face. But she didn't seem to speak for the moment. Then she looked back to where it was.

" Yes I do but it's old history I'm sure there is a more reasonable explanation on where it came from." I sighed lifting the memory cube in front of her that I watched with the item I found. She watched it and blinked. " So that's what it does. Why have I seen so many ponies lately with the horror look on their face? No wonder why the creatures are leaving the city. I doubt they wish to deal with that thing. it's not going to be easy for them to deal with it."

We went along the road. But again I haven't ever been outside this city for a long time. So I don't remember how long it takes to get out of it. It's very hard to get through here since we don't know how bad the roads have gotten thanks to all the snow. But we stop right near a caravan.

Sparks got out of the Buggy and the caravan was pretty friendly. They looked to be trying to get Spade to stay inside hiding her face with her helm. Since I think some of the caravans would confuse her for the leaders of The Remnant. "Hello, Father..." I softly said.

The stallion, the leader of the Caravan, looked at me. He had a large smile on his face. " My little girl is all grown up. But I can see in your eyes you haven't forgiven me for how I treated your mother." He gave a soft sigh nodding. " So why are you out this far?'

Sparks spoke up. " We found a treasured item that caused the remnant's to attack us. Now they’re chasing us all over. Also, your daughter has a marefriend." My cheeks turned bright red Spade's walked out of the buggy removing her helm. My father's eyes went wide. The other's of the caravan grabbed their weapons.

" No no, she is fine. She is no longer part of the leadership. She gave it up to well have sex with whatever she wanted." Spades nodded at what I said.

"Yes, I gave up on my family. So no worries just when you go there. Please don't tell them that you saw us. I want to be happy." The large mare stood over me. " I am going to protect this little mare as much as I can." She said with a grin. I gave a nod My father who I always said is an ass hole. But I understood why. It's how he was raised.

" Fleur may I speak to you in private?" I nodded to my father. The two of us went a little far away and He looked at me with a sigh. He wasn't a unicorn, he was an earth pony. But he did have a look of regret on his face. it's a sad thing. I have never seen him this sad before.

" I saw your mother the other day. She wanted to get back with me. But I told her she would have to give up being the leader of the treasure hunter's for me to want to take her back. But again she is so stubborn about it. But she also hated the fact that. I had other mare's thanks to the lottery. But I am willing to try with her." I gave a nod.

" Well, dad I am not sure what I can say about it. I am not even sure she is still alive. The remnant attacked the guild. The rest of us are trying to get to Canterlot since It's the only place we feel that we will be safe for the time being. " My father sighed nodding. It was bound to happen. The treasure hunters have been hunted many times over the last few years. But this is the first they have been outright attacked in their guild.

" I do hope I see her again. But the thing is Fleur. Your mother wasn't always happy to be held back by a stallion. The fact she even allowed me to mate with her took twisting her hooves just to allow me to. I had to woo her many times. Now the other mare's no."

Blinking, I was hearing my father talk about my mother like she was a very stubborn mare. Then I looked back at how she raised me. Thinking to myself. Yes yes, that is my mother. A soft laugh came from me. "Yup that's my mother, the most stubborn mare of the treasure hunter's guild. Of course, I do miss her but where are you guys heading?"

My father looked back to the caravan and then back to me. "Trying to get out of the city. It's gotten pretty bad here since the creatures have started moving away from it. I heard stories of some dark creature showing up trying to kill everything in sight."

I sighed. I felt bad that I was the reason that this creature showed up. Maybe telling him would be a good idea. But It's time to get out of here. "Come I need to get out of this city myself. Before the remnant finds me. I don't wish to be here when they try to tear this city apart just hunting me down." He gave me a nod and we walked back to the buggy.

Sparks had done some trading. She gave some very old clothing for more batteries for the buggy and one of the spear-like weapons that need a battery to work. But I don't know much about them. That they're very easy to come by. I remember reading they were made to tame the Hydra's and other creatures of the land. But again it's going to be harder to do so.

"We best get going, dad. If you see mom please try what you can with her. if you're forced to hold her down again as she told me you had to. To just impregnate her with me. then you have to do so to talk about your feelings." He nodded and I got back into the car sighing looking at Spade who placed her helm back on. I think she was known pretty well by many of the other smaller settlements in this city.

Sparks got in as well and we drove off to head through the rest of the city. But the issue is we had run into a little trouble.

It was two hours later and we still kind of got stuck in traffic so many creatures walking in front of us since they have been trying to get out of the town too. But they went the long way. We had to take the road. Thankfully all we had to deal with was angry bears. But again we got stopped by a few. So the three of us got out and took them on.

I was in my armor lifting my left hoof to stab a young bear in the head. I killed it making the parents very upset. Spades being as large as she was. She used her entire body to crush the female bear. It wasn't a pretty sight of course. The blood drained from its wounds. Now the reason it was so easy. Is because most are trained to deal with these creatures. You are taught you strike first and never let up. Some creatures don't know how to act.

Sparks lifted the spear stabbed into the male. But it didn't affect him at first. She stabbed again the bear roaring deeply trying to get to her but the spear kept him at bay. It was like a pain- stick. it would cause him so much pain that the bear grew more savage. Then inside the poor creature's head, it's brain exploded causing it to instantly die.

Spades and I went back into the buggy to let Sparks gut and skin the three creatures. I didn't wish to do that but we had to. These creatures could have attacked the buggy. Repairing this thing is hard trying to find tires that work for snow like this even harder. But yes again that's the hardest thing about this new world. Well, not a new world to me. I am sure some will find this world new to them.

After all, that was said and done. Sparks tied the skin's on the buggy then we were off again. The smell was pretty bad but it kept the other creature's away from us. Getting out of this town was getting harder. Because whatever I caused is making these creatures move slowly, not as quickly as it should be. But it's easy to tell that most didn't even know what was happening. We passed many ponies though the creature didn't attack them which is a good thing.

But we did give the ponies some meat while this was happening. We didn't stay to talk because I had a bad feeling that the remnant was on my tail. I had to get us out of here as quickly as we could. it was my turn to drive. I drove like a fool taking short cuts making errors causing the buggy to strain.

" Stop stop stop!!" Sparks said. "let me drive again please Fleur. I know you wish to rush. But we don't need the buggy to die on us now." She removed one of the batteries placing the charger on my horn again. Making me use my magic to charge the battery.

Now the snow started coming down. We found an old apartment area placing the buggy into a garage that oddly was still standing. We stayed in there while the snow came down. We brought our heater out to make sure we would be warm. Looking at the old map. Sparks felt we are a few miles away from the outside of town. Then we need to head to a town called Ponyville.

Heading down that way wouldn't be easy. Since that town is still there but we needed to go up to the mountain that held Canterlot. But I fell asleep as the two stayed up to talk about me. I did hear a few words before I fell asleep.

" I care for her deeply. I just wish she would let me control some of the things she did."

"Heh, she is just like her mother. I am sure she will when we get to Canterlot then you can clean her up, even more, the treasure hunter guildhall. It's a fort up there since only the hunter's dare to trek up there for so long. I doubt any pony else will even try."

But finally fell asleep.

Opening my eyes to see it finally stopped snowing. But I didn't see Spade or Sparks anywhere. The shadow creature stood over me with a dark smile of teeth showing. "No pony is here to save you." Fear filled my eye's staring at the creature. I didn't understand what this creature was. I tried to stand but shadow chain's held me down. The creature stared right into my eyes. But all I had was the horror.

" P...lease don't hurt me..." I tried to cough out. But the creature just laughed softly.

" Oh, I won't hurt you...But your friends don't care about you. Spade will never love you. She just wants you to be her slut.." The creature smirks darkly. " Sparks thinks you have a giant burden. Maybe it's time to show them all what you're made of. Allow me to help you with that..." The creature laughed.

So much fear filled me. I didn't wish to listen to this creature but I couldn't cover my ear's. But the evil I felt from this monster was even worse. "No, they care for me." The creature just stared at me. It looked around seeing the buggy is gone, the bags are gone. The heater is even gone.

" Oh if they cared about you. Why did they leave without you?" Tear's formed down my face. I didn't know what to think. I sobbed loudly. But I felt something shaking me. Finally, I opened my eyes again. It was all a dream but the tears were real. Looking at Spade who had a worried look on her face.

Looking around quickly seeing everything was still there. The snow did stop but. I stood up leaning into Spade like it was nothing. My eyes burned from the tears. I didn't know what to do or what to say. But I tried to choke it out. But I couldn't. " You didn't leave me."

" Why would we Fancy?" Looking over to Sparks. Who is digging so we can drive out of here? " But you sure had a nightmare whatever it was."

I nodded as I wanted to talk to them about it. But maybe it's not wise to do that right now. Slowly getting into the Buggy to relax and allow them to work. I didn't feel alright after that dream. But Maybe it could be because of that creature being near me. But maybe I will learn more about it sometime.

But sitting near the bag that holds the magic item makes me feel better. Maybe It has an aura of cleansing around. But looking to my friends. I felt that sense of doubt and gloom leave me. I have a feeling it was just a dream and this creature wasn't fully there.

"Hey, how close are you to getting out of this city Sparks?" Sparks got into the buggy along with Spade. She looked at the Map. But she stayed silent for a while. The city could have changed in that map. Just finding a way out of this city is not easy anymore.

"We have to go on the old train tracks." The train tracks. I thought I remembered those tracks; they seemed a bit weak the last time I saw them. But maybe the three of us could drive on them.

" Oddly Sparks there is another way out. Just head to the Remnant checkpoint down south. It's a small outpost so I doubt they know they’re looking for us." Sparks nodded.

" Well it's my choice I am driving So...We will go the safer way the checkpoint."

Sparks drove the buggy south to get us to the checkpoint. But there was another issue. Most of the roads were now hard to see. So we had to go through deep deep snow. It was harder to drive thanks to the snow. But Sparks took her time to get through it. Finally made it through the large Snowbanks. But when we got fully there. We saw bodies of ponies with the look of fear on their faces.

But these look like their old and recently dug up. " Who would be digging up the dead?"

" I think they're searching for something. Some ponies had bits on them when they died. So if you find it’s. Some of the points collect them." Giving a nod looking to Spades who had her armor on just in case we got attacked. I heard of these ponies; they collected old treasures of the past. What we drove they would want. But at the moment they seemed to not bother with us at the moment.

Finally, we fully made it out of that graveyard heading down the road to get to the Checkpoint. "Let me get into the front seat Fleur." Nodding, getting in the back seat and hid behind the seat. Spades lowered the window.

" Oh, lady Spade. Why are you out so far from the Remnant?"

" I have a job to do for the Remnant. I have to get out of the city, do you mind opening up for us?"

" Alright, I will call to see if we can move for you."

Blinking lifting my head and the two looked at each other. "I have a bad feeling about this." Spades nodded Sparks got ready to drive. She knew this wasn't going to end well. We are so close to getting out of the city. But I got very worried that they would search for the bag. So I grabbed the bag hiding it under a hidden compartment. When Sparks and I found this Buggy there were a lot of questionable things in there.

"Lady Spade's we have to search your car for a mare that is on the run from the Remnant." Spade smiled.

" Oh but if you let me go I will make it worth your while." She purred softly to the stallion. " Maybe if you let me go I will let you give me a foal. You will become part of the leadership as well if you allow this." She stroked her hoof along his bare neck.

Sparks smirked. "Lady...I can't I need to follow my job or they will kill me." Spades gave him a pout.

" Go ahead but I am sure you won't find any pony." I quickly placed the rest of the armor on laying under a blanket like it was just a full set of armor.

A group of ponies came to the buggy Spades and Sparks getting out to let them search. They looked through all the bags they could find. Then I looked at the armor I was wearing. But they didn't seem to care. They placed all the stuff back in the bag. Then the stallion looked at Spades.

" I am sorry milady. You may go." Sparks and Spades got back into the buggy. Then a voice sounds out.

" SIR I got a message from Jacks. He said this buggy is the one that escaped from the remnant's." Lifting my head.

"GO GO GO!!" I yelled. Sparks hit the peddle blasting out of the checkpoint breaking through the Checkpoint to get through the last part of the city. Turning to the lookout. We saw the ponies getting on bear's to charge after us. Of course, the bears were ten times slower than us.

"We need to find a place to hide" Spades yelled. Blasted through the last parts of the city. But we found one spot that would be easy for us. But a large Hydra stood in front of them growling and roaring at them stopping the chasers in their tracks.

" How did that Hydra sneak upon them?" I asked softly.

" It's how Dragon's sneak up on ponies."

" How is that?"

" A dragon's secret." Sparks turned her head to look at me with a smirk

" Fine don't tell me" I gave a roll of my eyes.

We finally made it out of the last stretch of the city to what is known as the Valley of Blight.
