Adventures in Equestria

Equestria is a land of so many wonders and ponies. There are ponies of all sorts and yet there are some strange things that can happen in Equestria that nobody has yet to explain, but there is one pony who understands it all and he spends his time...well going through time. His name is Dr. Hooves, he travels time and pony space just enjoying the sights and everything that goes on around and yet sometimes things happen that he can’t explain, for example the reason his time machine wound up in front of four very unusual friends. These four were Dysmetix, Bass, Chuck, and Hak. It was a whole nother world, none like anything the Doctor had ever seen, things much like ponies, but they walked on two hooves and used their other hooves to grab and hold things. The five sat around talking all day and just enjoying their time together. The four friends were delighted to hear all about this pony world with magic, pegasi, and many other creatures.

“Doctor, we would love to go with to your world.” Dysmetix suggested.

“That would be so awesome.” Hak said in agreement, but the Doctor shook his head and responded,

“I can’t do that there is no telling what would happen to your world or mine if I brought you back. It might explode both our worlds or cause them to collide.”

They all looked at each other in thought and just kinda had sad looks on their faces.

“I would have loved to go to your world, it sounds so amazing and inspiring, I am sure I could write so many songs from it.” Bass stated. The Doctor looked at them and pondered for a bit and then had an idea.

“Boys.” He started, “I know of a way that you will be able to travel with me.”

The four all became happy and rushed to the time machine with him. The Doctor begins flipping switches and pushing buttons, “Now as I do this you may start to feel-” The Doctor was interrupted by a loud thud. He looked over to see them all passed out on the floor of his time machine. “Ah beginners.” He said with a light chuckle as he continued pushing buttons. then he lifted one final lever and the machine teleported off of earth.

Twilight noticed a strange sound coming from down stairs and rushed down to see the blue box time machine show up in the middle of her living room. Dr. Hooves walked out, “Ah, hello Twilight.” He said.

“Good day to you Doctor, what brings you to my home?” She questioned.

“Well you see, I stumbled across this fascinating place with some very unusual ponies, and some of them requested to come back with me. The only problem is that I need to be somewhere very important at this time, and so I was wondering if you could take care of them, they might act a little strange when they wake up.” He stated.

She looked at him a bit weird and responded saying, “Well, I suppose I could take care of them for the time being and I can show them around later because I don’t really have anything to do today.”

“Ah, that is fantastic, I knew I could count on you Twilight. Spike, come help me get these ponies out of here please.” He said.

“Sure thing Mister.” Spike said as he walked down into the box helping drag out the four ponies.

“Well I’m off then, have a nice day.” The Doctor said and then vanished once again. Twilight sat there for a bit staring at the ponies with their strange appearances before she finally used her magic to levitate them into a bed in a big pile and then goes back to studying her books.

One of the four ponies slowly began to awake, Dysmetix. “Whoa I had the weirdest dream ever, I dreamt I had met a talking pony with a bow tie and suit.” He said to himself as he slowly awoke and tried to get up. He had some trouble getting up due to the fact he had his friend’s laying on top of him. “Wow this is real funny guys.” He said as he pushed himself out slowly, once he was finally free he noticed he was not in his house. “Hm. This is really really weird, I wonder where we are.” He said as he looked out the window. “I don’t recognize any place like this in our area.” He scratched his head and then felt a strange object on his head and he continued bumping it and it made sort of the thunking sound. “Oh geez, what did you guys glue to my head?” He asked as he tried to grab it then noticed something strange. “Did you guys seriously glue my hand in a fist shape again?!” He said and looked at his hands then noticed they were hooves. He sat there blinking for a bit and then tried to stand up and fell down. Ow, what happened? I can’t stand up. He looked at his legs and also found hooves. Am I still dreaming? He thought to himself. He stood up on all fours and walked down the stairs, not noticing his friends on the bed.

When he arrived at the bottom and looked around for a mirror, he noticed a room with a mirror in the back and walked towards it. He opened the door and looked at the mirror as he slowly walked towards it. Once he finally got to it he looked carefully into it due to the lack of light he had trouble making things out.

“Here let me help you.” A voice said and a light came on.

“Thank you very-” He responded without looking at where the voice and instead stared intensely at the mirror in shock as he saw a dark blue colored unicorn with four spikes on his head, one had black, green, and sky blue. The other spikes were all those three colors but individual in the order of sky blue, green, and black. He noticed that the light was not coming from the one in the room due to the fact he could see the light was off in the mirror, he looked over to his side to notice a purple unicorn with dark hair and purple and pink.

“Hi, my name’s Twilight, what’s yours?” She asked.

His jaw dropped and then he let out the loudest longest scream he had ever released in his life. This went on for a little while before Twilight shoved a pillow in his mouth.

His friends all came running in, “What’s wrong man!?” They all yelled, then saw Twilight and Dysmetix, then proceeded to scream as well for a second, then looked at each other and screamed louder. Twilight rolled her eyes as she shoved pillows in their mouths before saying, “Alright now if you’re all willing to calm down and listen to my explanation, I can try to clear up some of your confusion alright?” The four nodded their head to her and went into the living room and sat down for her explanation.

As she proceeded to explain that they were in Equestria and that they were brought there by a mythical pony named, Dr. Hooves. She explained the many different types of ponies in the world of Equestria, as well as creatures. “That pretty much covers it, any questions?” She asked. They looked at each other and shook their heads, but Dysmetix nodded his. She walked over and pulled the pillow from his mouth and asked, “What’s your question?”

“Actually that was it.” He said.

“Wait, what?” She asked.

He stretched his jaw and closed it before saying, “I was going to ask if you could take the pillow out of my mouth.”

“Oh sorry.” She said and removed the pillows from his friend’s mouths.

“Allow us to introduce ourselves, I’m Dysmetix.” He said, “Aaaaaand...idk which one of these ponies is my friends.”

“I’m Bass.” The purple unicorn with a white mane responded.

“I’m Chuck.” Said the brown pony with a short spiky brown mane.

“Guys! I have wings this is so cool!” Said the last pony, as he looked around everyone looked at him kind of strangely.
“Oops sorry, I’m Hak, nice to meetcha!” Said the white pegasus with a long brown mane.

“It is wonderful to meet you all, so how long do you think you will be here in Equestria?” Twilight asked, she noticed they were looking at each other strangely before asking, “I’m gonna guess the Doctor didn’t talk about that?” They all nodded at her and as they did she slammed her hoof on her face, “Typical Doctor.” She said. “I can show you around Ponyville if you’d like.” She said.

“If you would please, we would be very appreciative if you could show us around what would be our new home for a while.” Bass said to her.

“Alright then I guess we’re off.” She said as she opened the door and they all proceeded to exit.

She walked around the town showing her where the best places in town to hang out with people were, talking about what kind of people were in the town, and also talking a bit about the history. They were eventually stopped by a completely pink pony with some outrageously poofy pink hair...er mane.

“Hey everypony, how are you doing today? Twilight, are these some new friends? Did they just get to Ponyville for the first time? Do I need to throw them a party? Oooo ya I love parties, I’m gonna go set up one at Sugar Cube Corner right now!” She said and then bounced off.

“Uhhh, yeah, that was Pinkamena Diane Pie. We just call her Pinkie Pie.” Twilight said.

Pinkie then showed up behind her and said, “Yupperonni, that’s me. I forgot to ask who I’m making the party for, what’s your names?” Pinkie asked.

“Well I’m Hak, that’s Bass, that’s Chuck, and that’s Dysmetix.” Hak responded.

“Oooo you guys all have funny names, and you look funny too.” Pinkie said laughing, “Oh Twilight, you should introduce them to everypony today, oh wait, they’ll all meet them at the party tonight, oh I gotta go pass out flyers and everything! Bye!” She said then galloped off.

“Is she always that um...” Dysmetix was saying, but interrupted.

“Crazy? Loopy? Hyper-active? Yes.” Twilight responded.

They continued walking through the town checking out places and then Twilight was stopped by a blue flying pegasus. “Hey Twilight, did you hear about the new ponies that came into town? Pinkie’s throwing a party for them, I can’t wait to meet them!” She said.

“Rainbow Dash, meet our new friends.” Twilight said pointing at the four of them.

“Whoa you look so cool.” She said as she flew up to Dysmetix.

“Thanks I suppose.” Dysmetix responded.

“Rainbow Dash, cool down on it a bit, they’re not used to all this attention, they just met Pinkie.” Twilight said.

“Ohhh sorry if I scared you guys.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Nah it’s cool.” Chuck responded.

“Hey you’re a Pegasus!” Hak said.

“Yup I’m the fastest flyer in all of Equestria!” Rainbow Dash said sticking her chest out.

“Allow us to introduce ourselves, my name is Bass, these are my friends, Chuck, Hak, and Dysmetix.” Bass said.

Rainbow Dash went over to Dysmetix and said, “Your name is super awesome!”

“Thanks, I like your mane.” Dysmetix said.

“Wow thanks, I like yours too.” She said with a smile, “Well I gotta run, I’ll see you guys tonight.”

“Bye.” They all said as she flew off.

“Hey guys look I can fly!” Everypony turned to see Hak flying...upside-down.

“Ummm Hak, I don’t think that’s how you do it.” Chuck said as everypony started laughing.

“What’s so funny everypony?” A timid voice said.

“Oh hey Fluttershy, these are some new friends.” Twilight said.

“Hello Fluttershy.” Bass said.

Fluttershy peeked out from behind Twilight. “Sorry guys she’s a little-” Twilight was interrupted as she was flipped up into the air by Fluttershy as she went over to Hak. “Shy...” Twilight said with a look of disdain.

“Haha you are quite the funny flyer.” Fluttershy said to Hak.

“Thanks!” Hak responded with a smile.

“I am pleased to meet you, my name is Fluttershy.” She said politely.

“I’m Hak, that’s Chuck, Bass, and Dysmetix.” He said with a big smile, Fluttershy whispered into Hak’s ear. Hak bursted out laughing before saying, “Oh no, even though he is big and has a deep voice, Bass is nothing to be afraid of. And even though his hair is really pointy and he is completely scary looking, Dysmetix isn’t either.”

“Honestly, there really is nothing to be afraid of with me, but Dysmetix I can’t speak for.” Bass said.

“HEY!” Dysmetix said as he punched Bass over the head, before continuing saying, “I’m not that scary!”

Fluttershy quickly hid behind Twilight. “It’s ok Fluttershy, he really is nice.” Twilight said.

“I need to go take care of the animals, sorry, but I will see you all at the party tonight.” Fluttershy said and flew off.

“Bye!” Hak said, “She’s so nice.” He continued.

“Oh I know I am.” A voice said. They all turned around to see a white unicorn with purple hair.

“Oh hey Rarity.” Twilight said, “These are some new ponies in town and they’re gonna be around for a while.”

“Oh I know, I came to see if their pictures were accurate.” She said as she showed the flyer for the party.

“Ok seriously how did she do that? We just met her like twenty minutes ago and now everypony knows about it?!” Chuck said.

“Oh that’s just Pinkie being Pinkie.” Twilight said.

“Oh yes indeed.” Rarity added.

“Allow me to introduce us, it’s about time I got to do something. My name’s Chuck, that’s Bass, Hak, and Dysmetix.” He said.

“I’m sure it is a bit more honorable for you to meet me than it is for me to meet you, I’m Rarity and um...why is that pony flying upside-down?” She asked as she looked at Hak.

“He doesn’t usually fly much, plus this place is different for him.” Twilight said.

“Oh, I see. I’m not well versed in the matters of pegasus and their flight. I do however know gems and fashion remarkably well.” Rarity stated.

“This I have noticed.” Bass said as he looked at her dress covered in gems.

“Oh my, I forgot to change before I left. My bad. Well I don’t want to get this dirty so I better head home before it gets that way, farewell.” Rarity said as she dashed off.

“Bye now.” They all said.

“Howdy everypony.” A kind of country voice rang.

“Oh hey Applejack.” Twilight said.

“I came to see what all the fuss Pinkie was making earlier, and now I see.” Applejack said.

“Yup we got a couple new friends moving in for a while.” Twilight said.

“Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Applejack and who are you ponies?” Applejack questioned.

Hak flew forward and looked her in the eyes carefully before smiling and then saying, “I’m Hak, that’s Bass, Chuck, and Dysmetix.”

“What kinda names are those?” Applejack asked.

“The kind we were given by our crazy parents.” Chuck said.

“Whatcha mean crazy?” Applejack asked.

“Hmmm I guess you could say a few apples short of an orchard.” Dysmetix said.

“Oh I gotcha, wait are you making fun of me?” Applejack asked with a glare.

“No, I don’t even get how that could insult you other than your name has to do with apples.” Dysmetix said.

“I work on an apple farm with my family.” Applejack said.

“HAH! Way to go Dys.” Chuck said.

“Oh shut up Chuck.” Dysmetix responded.

“Well I will see y’all later.” Applejack said as she stormed off.

“Well, you’ve pretty much met all of my best pony friends. The rest are just townsfolk that I don’t know a whole lot about.” Twilight said.

“Who are they?” Dysmetix asked as he pointed to a couple ponies over at Sugar Cube Corner.

“Oh that’s a bunch of music ponies who play music in all sorts of places they’re nice ponies, but like I said I don’t know much about-” Twilight was saying before she was interrupted by Bass and Dysmetix running off as fast as they could towards the two ponies.

“You guys are music ponies!?” They both yelled as they got up next to them.

“Well, yeah, we are. I’ve never seen you guys here, you must be those new ponies Pinkie is throwing a party for.” The white unicorn said.

“Yeah we are, we just got here in ponyville, we’re musicians too and we wanted to meet like minded people.” Bass said.

“Well I’m Octavia, and this is my friend Vinyl.” The gray pony said.

“I’m Dysmetix, and this is Bass.” He responded.

“I see you like the Treble Clef.” Bass said.

“I just really like music, it is the love of my life really.” Octavia said.

“We love music too, we do all sorts of music back home.” Dysmetix said.

“Cool, do you like DJ stuff?” Vinyl asked.

“You better believe it!” Dysmetix responded.

“How about classical stuff?” Octavia questioned.

“Absolutely.” Bass said.

“Do you guys like metal?” Dysmetix asked in excitement.

Octavia and Vinyl looked at each other then back at them and asked, “You mean like metal as in steel?”

“No, I mean metal style music.” Dysmetix said.

“What’s that?” Vinyl asked. Dysmetix jaw dropped.

“You poor ponies...so deprived.” He said.

“Why is that?” Octavia questioned.

“Well it is only one of the greatest styles of music ever.” Dysmetix said.

“Well if you can maybe you can show us what it’s like.” Vinyl responded.

“I’m more partial to classical and show choirs.” Bass said then continued, “However I do love almost every style of music out there.”

“Well you are quite a wonderful musician as near as I can tell, maybe we can all get together and share musical notes and such.” Octavia said.

“Definitely.” Bass said.

“Bro hoof?” Dysmetix asked as he raised his hoof to Vinyl.

“What’s a bro hoof?” She asked.

“Well you take your hoof and bump it with mine, it is kinda like a handshake.” Dysmetix said.

“Oh sweet! Bro hoof!” Vinyl shouted as she bumped hooves with him.

“Will we see you at the party?” Bass asked.

“Definitely, we always welcome everypony.” Octavia replied.

“Alright then, we gotta get going, see you later.” Dysmetix said as he walked out the door.

“Yeah we’ll see you.” Bass agreed as he walked out.

While Dysmetix and Bass were inside, a gray pony with a blonde-mane came up to Twilight, Chuck, and Hak. “Hey everypony, what’s going on?” She said.

“Oh, how’s it going?” Twilight asked.

“I’m doing great. Who are the new ponies?” She asked.

“Oh these are some new friends they will be with us for awhile.” Twilight answered.

“Oh, my name is Derpy-Hooves.” She said with a smile.

Hak flew up to her and smiled. Chuck walked up to her and hugged her. “Oh my goodness you’re so adorable!” He said.

“Gah, you scared me there, it’s nice to meet you too, and no, my name is Derpy. You silly pony.” She said chuckling.

“My name is Hak and that’s Chuck. Our friends are inside talking to the music ponies.” He said smiling.

“Hey you fly like me.” She said as she flew upside-down.

“Haha cool!” Hak said.

“Awww man, why do I have to be an earth pony?” Chuck asked with a sad look.

“Awww it’s ok sad pony, Pinkie will make you happy with your party later. Sorry everypony, I have to go.” Derpy said as she flew away.

“Bye!” Chuck and Hak said.

Dysmetix and Bass walked up, “Hey guys, sorry about that, we love music.” They said.

Chuck ran up to them and fell in front of them and said, “You guys missed the single most ADORABLE pony that we’ve seen since we have been here.” Chuck said with a happy smile and tears.

“Her name was Derpy Hooves, she was really funny.” Hak said.

“Well ponies, let’s go get you ready for your big party tonight.” Twilight said. They all walked off towards her house so they could get ready for the party. All the while talking about how awesome it is to be here in Equestria with all the awesome ponies they have met.
