The Life of Aza: Season Oneby TrueKingPwnyChaptersChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4Chapter 5Chapter 1Dear journal, This is the first entry in the autobiography of Aza. That's me. Well, I wasn't born with that name, but that will be covered in this story. My wife, Moondancer, will be keeping me from stretching the truth. This won't be a complete recollection of my life, but a recollection of my pony life. Again, it will be covered in this story. So now that you're somewhat prepared for the story, let's begin with when I woke up in the hospital. My first thought after waking up was, 'Where am I?'. My second thought was 'Ow', because I had a splitting headache and thinking actually hurt. Looking around, I saw that I was in a hospital room. I tried to get out of the bed and landed right on my face. "Owwww," I groaned. My failed attempt attracted the attention of the nurse next door, who used her magic to help me back into my bed. "Thanks," I said as I rubbed my hurt nose. "How are you feeling?" she asked with a caring smile. "Other then the headache, I think I'm fine" "That's good. If you think you're up to it, I need to ask you some questions" "Go ahead," I said as I took in her features. She had a white coat with a red plus as her cutie mark. Her mane and tail were bright red, matching her cutie mark, and a nurse's hat on her head. "Okay, first, what is your name?" "Oh, It's..." I pause here as I tried to remember my name. "My name is..." At this point, I was starting to panic. "I don't know my own name," I whispered before repeating it again louder. I started to breathe rapidly and my panic must have been clear on my face, cause the next thing I know, the nurse pulls me into a hug. After a while, I finally calmed down and let the nurse continue the questioning. Most of my answers were "I don't know". "Okay, there is just one last thing to do. Because you can't remember anything, I need to take some blood. I need it to see if you have any living relatives that can take care of you. If no matches are found, you will be taken to Canterlot Orphanage as soon as you're given a clean bill of health," she said as she prepared for the blood extraction. The last thing she said before she left me alone was, "I'm sorry". I didn't respond to her. I just placed my head on the hospital pillow and closed my eyes, praying that when I woke up, this will end up just being a nightmare. Unfortunately, this was real life and I was reminded of that fact when the nurse woke me up. "I'm afraid that there weren't any matches". "That's fine," I said with a chuckle. This turned into full blown laughter. Even though there was a smile on my face and I was laughing, contradicting tears still fell on the bed. My laughter got caught in my now sore throat when the nurse wrapped me up in a hug. My walls broke at that point and I began freely crying into her shoulder. (If you are questioning my actions, I was young at that time, around eight. So imagine a eight year old being told that he's all alone in this world. Place this on top of having amnesia and you try remaining calm) After a mandatory physical and signing me up for therapy when I showed trouble walking, the nurse placed me in a wheelchair and led me to the orphanage that would be my home after the therapy. The matron was a kind elderly mare and children were nice too. However, I didn't want to go there because it, at least to me, meant that I accepted that I'm alone and that terrifies me. Not accepting the truth, but the idea of being alone. It've been two years since I woke up and several things happened. First, I adopted the name, Aza. Second, I got adopted by the kind nurse who help me through my emotional dilemma at the hospital. Her name is Bleeding Heart, awesome name in my opinion, and her cousins, Sweet Heart and Tenderheart, both work in a rural town called Ponyville. Third, I was enroll into Canterlot school. There, I met Moondancer and Twilight Sparkle. "Class, we have a new student joining us today. Will you please introduce yourself to the class?" said the teacher. "I'm Aza and can we skip the part where the class ask me questions?" I asked the teacher after introducing myself. "May I asked why?" "Didn't Bleeding Heart tell you?" (Back then, I call my adopted mother by her real name because I didn't want to accept that my real mother wasn't there. I eventually started calling her Mom, but enough of this. Back to the story)"I have been diagnosed with amnesia. I can't remember anything before waking up in the hospital". "I hope you can remember your past soon. I can't imagine how you feeling right now," The teacher said with a kind smile on her face. "Now, where should I place you? I know, why don't you sit next to Twilight Sparkle?" She was about to ask Twilight to raise her hoof, so I can find the correct seat, when she saw me moving toward the correct seat without any help. "Do you know each other?" "I don't recognized him, Miss Honor Roll," Twilight admitted causing all eyes to turn to me. "The name sounds familiar, but I don't know why" I said as I sat in my seat. The rest of the day went as expected for a normal school day. At the end, we were told to form groups of three. Of course, people immediately found their friends and formed groups with them. This caused me to be paired up with Twilight and Moondancer. As we worked together, I learned that Twilight was a bit of a perfectionist, stressing over every detail, and that Moondancer looked up to Twilight. We did fight some, mainly because I thought they were too serious and they thought I wasn't serious about this. It was tough at the beginning due to my problem with interacting with new people. I tend to close myself off whenever I am around strangers. I became more open with them as we worked together, so that was just a small hurdle. "Is this good?" asked Moondancer as she used her magic to move a bright yellow ball. "About three centimeters to the left," Twilight replied as she looked at the paper in front of her. "Here?" "No, that was four centimeters," Twilight replied before looking at me. "How is it proceeding, Aza?" "It's proceeding just as planned, my fearless leader," I said with a mock salute, causing Twilight to roll her eyes. My job was to write the rough draft for the paper that needed to be turned in along side the project. After I got done with that, Twilight will proof read the paper and make any corrections that are needed. Finally, Moondancer and I will proof read it again to make sure she didn't go overboard. "Do you want to see what I have so far, Twi?" "What did you say?" Twilight asked with a surprised look on her face. "Twi. I thought that since we're friends, I would give you a nickname," I said with a smile. "Do you not like it?" "No, it's fine. Just didn't expect it is all" "What about me?" asked Moondancer. I placed my hoof on my chin as I thought. "How about Moony?" I suggested after some thought. "Moony?" Moondancer repeated. "I like it, but what about you?" "What about me?" I repeated with a tilted head. "Your name is so short that I can't think of a nickname for you" "It doesn't matter to me" "Are you sure?" "Yes, now come on, this project isn't going to finish itself," I replied with a smile. I still don't remember my past, but something tells me everything will be alright. Everything is not alright! First, both Twi and Moony got accepted into Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, with Twi being Celestia's personal student. While, yes, I was proud for them, I was also upset because I wouldn't see them as much. Second, Mom got sick and was unlikely to make a full recovery. Finally, I've been having strange dreams. I know now that they were memories of my life before Equestria, but back then, it was strange, to say the least. When I got the news that my mom passed away, I dealt with it like I do the rest of my pain. I laughed. I probably looked crazy, laughing after being told that my mother was dead, but I couldn't stop. I laugh until my lungs hurt and, even then, I laugh some more. Now, I am dealing with the toughest decision of my life. Do I stay and try and deal with the pain here or do I travel to somewhere else to deal with it. Twi was busy with the Princess, so I couldn't talk to her at all. I stood outside Moony's home and finally decided to knock. "Moony, it's me, Aza" "Aza?" I heard her call out. "Come in" I decide to follow her instructions and opened her door. I found her picking up a couple pieces of paper with her magic. "Sorry for the mess" "It's no problem," I said. "Do you want some help?" "Thank you for the offer, but I think I can handle it," she said with a smile. "So, How can I help you?" "I'm thinking about leaving Canterlot for a while," I said while looking at the ground. "It's difficult living here, surrounded by memories of my mom" "Why are you telling me this?" Moony's voice sounded weird. When I looked up from the ground, I saw her with tears in her eyes. Without thinking, I pulled her into a hug. "This is why," I said softly. "I haven't made my decision yet. I care about you and I don't want my selfish actions to hurt you" "I want you to stay, but I also want to you to be happy," she said as she looked into my eyes. "If you truly need to leave, then go ahead" "Moony, are you sure?" "Just promise me one thing" "Anything" "Promise me that you'll return someday," she said before kissing me, catching me off guard. I responded with the most intelligent thing i could think of. "Huh?" I didn't know what to think. I did have a crush on Moony, but, out of fear of rejection, I buried it. After gaining my wits about me, I properly responded. "I promise. If you want, we can spend the rest of the day together" "I would love to do that," she said with a pause at the end. 'horse feathers, here comes a but' I thought. "But I have a lot of work to do for school, sorry" "It's fine. I'll send a letter regularly," I said before deciding to risk it and kiss her. (I know she already kissed me, but my irrational side was afraid it was just her emotions from me leaving, not true love.) To my relief, she started kissing back. "Something to remember me by" She smile as she said, "That sounds so cheesy" My smile didn't fade even as I stepped on the train going to a quaint little town called Ponyville. 'Something tells me things are going to get interesting soon' I think that this is a good stopping point for now. Next, I'll talk about my time in Ponyville when Twi showed up. Until Next Time AZA Author's Note finish changing a lot in this chapter. It started with Viper Pit, a loyal reader of story, wanting some more background on the relationship between Twilight, Aza, and Moondancer and it just went from there. hope you enjoyed the changes. If you ever wrote a story, you know how hard it is to get the story to be perfect. the first attempt at this story felt too slow for me, while the second one felt too fast. hopefully the third time's the charm as they say. If you don't like the change or have questions, ask me and i'll answer when i have the opportunity. Have a good day/week/month/year/life Chapter 2Author's Note I added rewrite to the title in the hope the people who didn't like the original will give the new one a chance. I'll remove it be chapter 4. I change a lot in chapter one, so if you don't want to be lost, reread it. 3.If you aren't happy with the detail i added about Aza, too bad because I'm not changing it. Have a great day/week/month/year/life (Choose the one that fits) Chapter 2 Dear journal, Hey, Aza here again. If you remember from last time, I left off last time with me leaving for Ponyville. I'm going to tell you about what happened while i was there before Twilight arrived and the day of Summer Sun Celebration. So, as a certain plumber says, let's-a go. It has been a couple years since I've moved to Ponyville and, while it still hurts when I think about my mom, the friendly and understanding folks there really helped me. The three major ones were the Apple family, Pinkie Pie and, surprisingly, Filthy Rich. The Apples could sympathize with me due to them also losing there parents. While they couldn't remember their parents, the pain of the loss still lingers. Whenever I need a shoulder to cry on, I can count on them and they can count on me. Pinkie should be obvious with how she helped me. whenever I felt sad and was starting to fall into a depressed state, she would cheer me up. From a hug, to a joke, all the way to a full blown party, she did everything she could to keep me from being sad. When I asked her why she did it, she told me, "I don't like seeing my friend sad 'cause it makes me sad and I don't like being sad, so I thought that if you're happy, then I have no reason to be sad, so I'll be happy". she said this with a smile on her face. Not her usual ear-to-ear smile, but a small one. Filthy Rich was surprising because I didn't expect a wealthy to care about a stranger. However, after talking to him, he wasn't what I thought at all. He was wealthy, yes, but it was care that he thought the world of his daughter and would give up his money if it meant she was happy. His daughter was the reason he hired me. Since he's a busy pony, he's hardly home and he's worried about his daughter, Diamond Tiara. He hired me to be her personal bodyguard/butler, even though I have very little combat training. I don't think roughhousing with other ponies count as combat training, but maybe it does. It's my job to take care of Diamond, even if she doesn't want me to. If she have homework, it's my job to drag her to her desk and make sure she gets it done. While she did have her prissy princess moments, she wasn't that bad once you got to know her. However, there was one member of the family that I will never get along with. Diamond's mother and Filthy's wife, Spoiled Rich, was everything I hated about rich people. In fact, I let her know that whenever I pass her. Best part is that she can't fire me because I work under Filthy, and she can't order me because I only serve Diamond. Speaking of Diamond, she's a bit of a bully and, while I'm trying to fix that, it have been a uphill battle. Today, I have a day off due to the upcoming Summer Sun Celebration. I decided to take a walk around Ponyville when I saw a chariot being pulled to two pegasi guards. Curious, I decided to investigate and, to my surprise, I found my old friend, Twilight and her assistant, Spike. (I jokingly call Spike her son from time to time, due to the fact that she hatched him.) Wanting to surprise my friend, I snuck behind her and Spike and said hello loudly. This caused both of them to jump and me to laugh. "That's not funny, Aza," scolded Twi. "Wait, Aza, what are you doing here?" "Didn't Moony tell you?" I asked with a bit of worry. I like Moony, but she tend to get catch up in her work. Kinda like Twilight, now that I think about it. They even had the same mane style when they were fillies. HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS BEFORE. "Aza, you have your 'how did I not notice this before' face," Twi said. 'I made this face enough to make it recognizable' I thought with surprise. "You didn't answer my question". "Well, Moon Dancer and I haven't talked in a while," admitted Twi as she rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah, she didn't even go to her party," said Spike earning him a glare from Twi. "She was more interested in her studies". "Spike, that was important," Twi said firmly. "The fate of Equestria is at stake" "Okay, I'm lost," I said, interrupting their conversation. "How 'bout I help you guys, so you can save Equestria". "You don't believe me, do you?" asked Twi, glaring at me. "I believe that you are worried about something, but I also know that you tend to be a pessimist" "I'm not being a pessimist," Twi pouted. "Thanks for your help. Let's go to Sweet Apple Acres first" "Do you want to split up?" I asked. "It would be faster that way because we could cover three at once" "No," Twi said looking at Spike. "Even though this is a small town, I don't want to lose Spike" "Oh, I see," I said with a smile. "Mama Twi is worried about her son" "He's not my son," Twi shouted with a blush. "but yes, I do worried about him" "Yeah, I'm not her son," agreed Spike. "Ok, if you say so," I said with a chuckle. "Now follow me. I visit Applejack and her family frequently, so I'm a familiar face there" "Wait, you didn't answer my question," Twi pointed out in the middle of trip to Sweet Apple Acres. "What am I doing here?" I asked, wanting to make sure I'm answering the right question. Twi nodded, confirming my question. "My mom got sick and eventually the sickness took her away. It was hard being in Canterlot surrounded by reminders of her, so I told Moony and ran away from all the reminders. I made a new life here, but I know I can't hide forever. I do plan on going back, it's just hard" "Why didn't you tell me?" shouted Twi, tears in her eyes. "You were in the castle with Celestia," I said as I pulled her into a hug. "Contrary to popular belief, you can't just waltz into the castle" "Why didn't you tell me in any of the letters you sent me?" "I didn't want my problems to drag you down," I said sadly. "Yeah, imagine that," Spike said. "a letter that says 'P.S. My mom's dead. have a good day'" "It's not a joke, Spike," Twi said angrily. "Imagine getting a letter like that," I said with a chuckle. "Imagine the face somepony would make if they read that". this got a laugh from Spike and a chuckle from Twi. "We are not done talking about this," Twi said as she poked my chest. "I see you haven't changed your wardrobe much" "I know it's strange, but I feel naked without my jacket" I said as I adjusted the sleeve on my black jacket. "Well, you are naked without your jacket," Twi pointed out. "You know what I meant," I said. The back-and-forth banter continued until we reached Sweet Apple Acres. Okay, I think that this is enough for tonight. Moony can't sleep without me next to her,so I won't keep her up any longer. have a great day, AZA Chapter 3Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter 4Hey, Aza here. It's been a while since I woke in this journal. If I remember correctly, I just talked to Rainbow about Twi. I probably just start from the point after I found Twi again. okay, then, let's begin I found Twi after she ran out of Rarity's store, the Carousel Boutique. I took a moment to apologize to her for my friend's actions before flying to Twi's location. I found her with Fluttershy, who was listening to Spike's life story. With a sigh, I watched as Twi rudely slammed the door on Fluttershy's face after she offered her help with Spike. With Pinkie's help, Fluttershy and I snuck into the library and wait for Twi to turn on the light. When she finally did, we all shouted "Surprise!". The look on her face was priceless. I was so happy that Pinkie took a picture and gave me a copy. "Were you surprised?" asked Pinkie, bouncing in place. "Yes," Twi say, sarcasm in her voice, "Libraries are supposed to be quiet". "That's silly," said Pinkie, letting out a small giggle. "Who would want a quiet party?". I watched as Twi poured a glass of hot sauce and drink it. I will admitted that I have a slight sadistic streak, so It was amusing to see her run out with fire coming out of her mouth. Being nice, I followed her, only stopping to watch Pinkie eat a hot sauce covered cupcake. "You okay?" I asked Twi. She responded with a glare. "You knew about this," she said angrily. "You knew that I wanted to figure out the situation with Nightmare Moon, but you had to throw a pointless party. "First, Pinkie threw this party," "And you didn't even try to stop her," she shot back. I heard Spike open the door before leaving after realizing what was happening. "Unlike you, I've dealt with Pinkie every day," I said, "Trying to get her to stop partying is like trying to make water dry". "Then why didn't you tell her to delay it?" said Twi. "You knew how important this was". "I don't know if Nightmare Moon will return," I said sadly. Putting up a hoof to stop her from interrupting, I continued. "I don't know what she'll do when she returned. Will she just conquer Equestria or will she kill ponies?" Twi wanted to say something, but I continued anyways. "This might be your last day. It might be my last day. I didn't want your memory to be of you wasting your life in a book. I want to have some fun". "But..." said Twi, softly. "What could you do?" I yelled, getting Twi to flinch away from me. "Sorry, but Celestia only managed to beat her with the Elements of Harmony" "How..." she said, only for me to interrupt again. "I don't know," I said, confused. "I just knew it". "Maybe your memory is coming back," suggested Twi. "Maybe," I softly replied. The argument took a lot of energy from both of us. "Come on, the guest of honor should be at her party". "You won't let me say no, will you?" she said, only half joking. "Nope," I said with a smile. I waited a bit before adding, "I'll also make sure you don't drink anymore hot sauce". "You saw that?!" she asked surprised. "Everypony saw it," I said as I led her back to the party. To say that Twi was awkward at first, was like saying that the sun was hot. A huge understatement. Luckily for Twi, the citizens of Ponyville were used to a wide range of personalities. I stayed by her side through out the night, in an effort to comfort her. I was happy to see her smiling as she talked to the other party-goers. While her topics of discussion weren't typical for a party, she was happy and no one complained. She talked to Applejack about her family's business. Rarity talked about what people in Canterlot were like. Fluttershy hid in her mane and refused to come out, so Twi didn't talk to her. Rainbow talked about how amazing she was and what she did for stunts. Twi rolled her eyes at the cyan mare, but politely listened. She still spoke up to point out a potential flaw or some other danger. I had to laugh when I saw her try to talk to Pinkie. "Remind me to never do that again," she told me as she held her head. "No promises," I said with a chuckle. She shot me a glare, but unlike last time, there was no anger. It was a friendly glare. You know, the joking kind that friends do when one of them do something stupid. I lost track of time, but before I knew it, we were heading to City Hall for the Summer Sun Celebration. You already know what happens there. Celestia is gone, Nightmare Moon appears, Guards are useless, and Twi and the others ran to the library. Following them, I heard about the Elements of Harmony being located in the Everfree Forest. I followed as they rushed to the edge of the Everfree. Twi tried to convinced them to not follow her, but they walked past her while explaining that they wouldn't abandon a friend. or something like that. I was caught up in my thought. I looked up to see Twi looking at me, worry in her eyes. I saw the other also staring, but my focus was on my childhood friend. "Are you coming too?" she asked, even though she thought it was pointless. I wanted to say yes, but my mouth said something else. "No," Twi's eyes mirrored my surprised. "I have this feeling that I don't 'belong' here. This is your mission. Your and theirs". "What are you going to do?" asked Twi. "I don't know," I admitted. "I probably try to buy you sometime by stalling Nightmare". "No," said Twi, tears on the edge of her eyes. "It's too dangerous". "I'll be fine," I said as I pulled her into a hug. "I'll still be here in the morning" "Promise?" she asked. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye," I heard her softly laugh at my actions. "Now go and save Equestria". I vaguely heard her tell the others to make haste as I shot upward. Looking across the treetops of the Everfree, I saw something strange and followed it. Unfortunately, it was a false lead. this repeated twice before I heard the group of mare scream in terror. Flying as fast as I could, I found them laughing? Apparently, Nightmare Moon made the tree look frightening and Pinkie helped them with a song. (If you're wondering. No, I don't know why ponies break out into random songs. I just accept that it's part of my life now). Deciding to stay near them due to the interest Nightmare seemed to have in them, I watched as Rarity gave her tail to a sea serpent and Rainbow Dash refuse to join a team called Shadowbolts, a obvious copy of the Wonderbolts. I followed them to the old castle and helped them bring the orbs down from their stands. I refused to move from the room after Twi told the other her plan. Even Applejack couldn't move me from my spot. I was ashamed to say that I was unable to stop Nightmare from taking the elements and, by accident, Twi. I heard Applejack say that she must be there as she pointed at a nearby tower. I shot off as the other follow me. My thoughts were dark. I couldn't forgive myself. I didn't expect Nightmare to be smoke. I could have saved Twi. She tried to re-imprison Nightmare and I doubt the evil alicorn would be the forgiving type. I was so happy to hear Twi's voice, filled with so much confidence. She was fine, no better than that. I broke down door and launched myself at Nightmare, to everypony's surprise. She easily dodge my assault, but I continued to attack. Anger at failing to protect someone I cared about guiding my actions. I didn't have time to prepare myself when Nightmare used her magic to throw me toward the wall. I let out a pained gasp before landing on the floor. "Twi, I know you can do it. Save Equestria". With that, I passed out. I will admit that it was pretty stupid to attack her, but my emotions were in charge, not my logic. When I woke up, I saw the six wearing jewelry matching their cutie marks. There were also two new ponies. One was clearly Celestia, but the other was new. Without thinking, I said, "Hey, 'Tia. Nice to meet ya, Lulu". I fell back asleep before anyone could ask me about the nicknames. When I woke up, they interrogated me on my knowledge of Luna, who was Celestia's sister. Unfortunately, I couldn't give that much information, because I didn't know myself. I could see Twi's face twisting with frustration and couldn't blame her. I'm frustrated myself. How do I know this stuff? Why? I hate not knowing, but I'll have to deal with it. I heard the happy news. Twi was moving to Ponyville to study friendship. Before we left to our respected homes, I said one thing to Twi, "I'm sorry" before flying off without giving her a chance to reply. Not the best ending, but what are you going to do? Moondancer is complaining about how the bed is cold and want me to join her. Don't read too much into that! it's just a couple sharing a bed in a completely non-sexual way. Wait, what if I made you think that? I'm sorry. Oh no, I hear her coming. I need to finish this quickly before she drag me to bed Until Next Time, A Z A Author's Note If you don't understand what happened at the end, Aza was being pulled away from the journal by Moondancer. I'll do a nice simple question. Favorite Genre of Video games? Mine is, obviously, Fighting. Chapter 5Dear journal, It feel like forever since I wrote something. Even though Twi won't be happy about this, I'll only cover what I consider to be major incidents. Even without the adventures in the human world, I have enough for over 195 entries before I catch up to present day. Whatever. Let's get into the story I let out a yawn as I dragged myself out of bed. Slipping on my jacket, I left my home and headed to Filthy Rich's mansion. I waited as their butler got Diamond Tiara ready to go to school. "Do you have everything, pipsqueak?" I asked, pausing in the middle to yawn. (It takes me a while to wake up in the morning) "Excuse me?" asked the filly, offended at something. Taking a moment to go over what I just said, I realized what I did wrong. "Sorry, Miss pipsqueak," I said jokingly. "Don't call me that!" she said loudly. "Alright," I said with a chuckle. "but seriously, do you have everything?" "Of course I do," she said. Deciding to have some fun, I decided to test her. "Pencils?" "Yep," said Diamond, pulling out one to prove it. "Paper?" Diamond once again prove that she had it. "Lunch?" Sure enough, she had it. "Snobbish attitude?" "Of course I have a..." Diamond Tiara paused as her brain processed what I just said. "Aza!" I laughed as her embarrassment caused her face to redden. I had to duck when Diamond threw a nearby rock in anger. "Come on, that's the best you got?" I taunted with a smile. Dodging her next couple of throws, I began running away. "Come back here," said Diamond as she chased me. I had to go slow to not have her lose me. I waved as we passed Sliver Spoon, who waved back clearly confused. "Silver, help me get him". Silver joined Diamond in her chase. "Come on, you got to try hard than that," I said, glancing back. I saw Diamond's upset face and Silver's confused one. If you're wondering why I'm doing this, it's to get Diamond to unwind a bit. Her mother hardly give her opportunities to be a filly, so I decide to use this moments to make her forget her status. I give her moments where she forgets about her reputation. "Hi, Pinkie, Bye, Pinkie". I heard Pinkie respond, but didn't look back. Finally, the chase ended when we got to the school house. I stopped and felt Diamond tackle me. "Aha, finally caught you," Diamond Tiara inbetween pants. "Yep, it certainly appears that is the case," I said with a chuckle. I could easily escape, but decided to play along. "Now apologize for what you did," she said. "Okay, okay," I said. "I'm sorry that I tried to trick you into saying that you have a snobbish attitude." I heard Silver giggle a bit before Diamond glared at her friend. I lifted Diamond off of me and placed her down beside me. "Okay, go in before you're late". "This isn't over," she said as she entered the school. "Have fun," I said before leaving. While talking back home, I heard Pinkie singing. Since I had nothing better to do, I decided to investigate. When I found her, I found Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and even Fluttershy surrounding Twi. I couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but I'm certain that I heard Pinkie say something about oatmeal. "QUIET!" yelled Twi, surprising the other mares. Well, except Pinkie, who kept talking. "And then I said oatmeal, are you craz..." she stopped talking at that point. "Oh" "Girls, there's no use in arguing," Twi said. "But Twilight," pleaded Rarity. I decided to see what the big deal was before I play interference. "This is my decision," said Twi as she stared at each of the surronding mares, "and I'm going to make it on my own." Base on that statement, Twi got something the others want and they're fighting over it. "and I certainly can't think straight with all this noise, not to mention hunger. Now go on shoo". The other mares grumbled as they left. "And don't worry, I'll figure this out... somehow". "Hey, Twi," I said with a wave. "I heard the ruckus". "Ugh," she groaned. "I just want some lunch". "Then why don't I buy you lunch while you tell me what all the hoopla was about," I offered. "I still don't think that is a real word," said Twi as we walked to a nearby restaurant. While we waited for the waiter, Twi told me about the tickets and the other's reasons. I had to laugh at what happened when the waiter came. "Have you made your decision?" he said. "I CAN'T DECIDE!" shouted Twi in frustration. This caused the nearby ponies to look at our table. "Twilight, he just wants to take your order," Spike said, pointing at the menu. Twi and I ordered a daffodil and daisy sandwich while Spike tried to order rubies. When they didn't have any, he ordered extra crispy hay fries. "So what do you think?" Twi asked us. I was about to give my opinion, but Spike spoke up first. "I think we have to try another restaurant. I mean, I like grass just fine, but would it hurt anybody to offer some gemstones?" complained Spike. "I mean about the Gala and the ticket and who I should take," said Twi with an annoyed expression. "Oh. You're still on that?," asked Spike. "Spike, be more sensible," I said. "Imagine if you had to make a decision like this". "Your food," the waiter said as he placed down our plates. Before we could eat, we saw ponies running. "Em, madam? Are you going to eat your food in ze rain?" "It's not raining..." she said as she saw that it was, in fact, raining. "What's going on?" We looked up and saw a familiar rainbow maned pegasus. "Hi there, best friend forever I've ever ever had. Enjoying the sunny weather?" She said. "Wow, two evers," I said sarcastically. "She's truly pulling out all the stops". "Rainbow Dash, what are you doing?" asked Twi, even though it was obvious. " Whaddya mean? I just saw the smartest, most generous pony about to get rained on, so I thought I'd kick a hole in the clouds to keep her dry so she could dine in peace, that's all," Rainbow said in a blatant attempt to butter Twi up. "Okay, two things," I said as I rubbed my head. "First, while I can't argue with the smartest part, there is a reason why Rarity is the element of generousity. Second, I want you to seal up that hole, find the others and meet up in the library". "Ugh, fine," she groaned as she zipped up the cloud. Twi tried to eat her sandwich, but the rain caused it to get soggy. I apologized for not thinking that through, but she understood. "Twilight, it's raining," Rarity said. we both had different responses. "No, really?" Twi said. "Really," I said before glancing around. "Dear Celestia, it is. How did I not notice this before?" "Come with me before you catch a cold," Rarity said before attempting to grab Twi. I stepped in between the two of them. "Aza, I would like to get Twilight out of this dreadful weather". "Only Twi?" I asked. "What about me or Spike?" "Of course, you guys too," she said with a nervous chuckle. "Come to the library," I said. "We'll settling this now". She grumbled out an agreement. We all headed to the library. On our way there, we picked up Applejack and Rainbow Dash. I was surprised when we found Fluttershy also doing favors. I chuckled when she outright admitted to trying to get the tickets. "At least, she's honest about it". Twi was then pulled outside by Pinkie who was throwing a mini party. Thankfully, we manage to pull her into the library before she told the whole town. "Pinkie, can you stop being a taradiddle for one second?" "A what?" Rainbow Dash asked, confused. "You made that word up". "Taradiddle is someone or something that is filled with pretentious nonsense or something that is a lie," I explained. "Pinkie would fall in the nonsense category. Thanks, word of the day calendar". "I told you that he would enjoy it," I heard Twi tell Spike. I chuckled before glaring at each of the ponies. "Twi gave me a brief summary about what is going on and I have one thing to say". I paused to take a breath. "All of you are selfish". As expected, the five mare tried arguing. "Out of all of you, Applejack is the one that is the least selfish, but still." I took a deep breath to calm myself down. "I want to sell food. I want to meet the Wonderbolts. I want to party. I want to be the belle of the ball. I want to see the royal gardens. Now what is missing in those statements?" I saw Pinkie about to answer, but I continued before she had a chance. "I don't have any of you give any consideration about what Twi wants". The five mares looked down sadly. "While you were thinking about how to get the tickets, Twi was stressing out, trying to decided on who to give the tickets to". I heard the five ponies apologize to Twi, who instantly forgave them. "It's important to all of you and I just can't stand to disappoint any of you," she said, explaining the issue to her friends. "So in order to solve this," I said as I grabbed the tickets. "I have decided that nobody will go". "WHAT?!", shouted the six ponies. "Do any of you think that you deserve to go after what just happened?" I asked. "It's better that everyone is sad by not going, than have only a couple ponies be able to have a 'good time' at the gala". The mares mumbled their agreement, but it was obvious that they didn't agree with the plan. "Spike, could you do the honor?" Spike saluted before getting ready to send the tickets back. "Wait," Twi said before asked Spike to take a note. "Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. If my friends can't all go, I don't wanna go either". We watch as the letter was sent away. A couple seconds later, Celestia sent a response with seven tickets. One for each ponies, including me. The mares left to celebrate while Spike became sad. "How come I don't get a ticket to the gala?" the young dragon asked before burping up another ticket. Spike excitedly ran out with his ticket, causing me to chuckle. I paused as I realized something. "If she had enough tickets for everyone in the beginning, why did she only send two?" I thought out loud. "Maybe she didn't expect this to happen or maybe she was trying to teach Twi a lesson". I decided to have Spike send a letter when he got back. I then realized that I forgot about Diamond Tiara. I quickly ran to the mansion she lived in to apologize. She was upset, but eventually forgave me. This was a long entry for me. Not only did I forget a couple of moments and had to rely on Twi to refresh my memory, I also had to figure out how to spell taradiddle. I threw away the page with the word a long time ago. Now that I think about Celestia never gave me a solid answer. I need to do something about this. Until next time, AZA Author's Note nice simple question. Favorite television show? it could be a cartoon, anime, or live action. it had to be on tv at some point.
Chapter 1Dear journal, This is the first entry in the autobiography of Aza. Chapter 2Author's Note I added rewrite to the title in the hope the people who didn't like the original will give the new one a chance. Moony can't sleep without me next to her,so I won't keep her up any longer. have a great day, AZA
Chapter 4Hey, Aza here.
