//-------------------------------------------------------// A Filly's Friendship -by IanthePony98- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Filly's Friendship //-------------------------------------------------------// A Filly's Friendship In the land of Equestria, two ponies named Ian and Moondancer had met one day and then the two ponies went on a risky adventure, they got hitched and had a filly as their daughter. Their daughter was named Straight A’s. The reason she was named Straight A’s was because she was as smart as her mother and cheerful like her father. Straight A’s always wanted at least somepony to play with her,but the problem was she didn’t have any friends until one day that soon changed. One bright and sunny day, Straight A’s woke up,got dressed, and got ready for school. “Good morning Mom. Good morning Dad.” said Straight A’s who walked in the kitchen for breakfast. “Good morning sweetie.” said Moondancer as she put the plate of pancakes on the table. “Ready for school?” Ian asked as he was reading the daily comics. “I’m ready for a great day at school.”Straight A’s answered with excitement. “Well eat up then.” said Moondancer as she put a glass of orange juice next to the plate of pancakes. Ian then poured some syrup on the pancakes. Straight A’s ate her breakfast and grabbed her saddle bag. “I’m ready.” she said. “Alright let’s go.” said Ian as he and Moondancer walked Straight A’s to school. They later arrived at the Ponyville schoolhouse. “Have a great day at school sweetie.” said Moondancer. Straight A’s was about to go inside but Ian reminded her something. “Where’s our hug?” Ian asked as he spread his front legs out. “A hug for dad.” said Straight A’s as she hugged her father, “And a hug for mom.” she said as she hugged Moondancer. “Have fun.” said Ian. Then Straight A’s went inside the schoolhouse as Ian and Moondancer went home. Inside the schoolhouse, all the little fillies and colts were sitting at their desks as Miss Cheerilee came in. “Good morning little ponies.” said Miss Cheerilee as she stood in front of the class. “Good morning Miss Cheerilee.”said the class who turned to their teacher. “Today we have a new student.” Miss Cheerilee announced. The new filly walked up and stood in front of the class. “This is Lilac Sea.” said Miss Cheerilee. “She’s gonna be with us for the whole year.” she added. “Hi Lilac Sea.” said the class with happiness. “Why don’t you sit at that desk over there.” Miss Cheerilee said to Lilac Sea as she pointed to the empty desk next to Straight A’s. And that’s exactly what Lilac Sea did. “Now let’s begin our lessons.” said Miss Cheerilee. As Miss Cheerilee was giving her lecture,Straight A’s decided to talk to the new pony. “Hi. I’m Straight A’s.” Straight A’s said as Lilac Sea turned to her. “Hi.My name’s Lilac Sea.” Lilac Sea said as she and Straight A’s shook hooves. “So where are you from?” Straight A’s asked. “I’m from Manehattan.” Lilac Sea answered. “Straight A’s,are you listening?” Miss Cheerilee asked as Straight A’s turned to her. “Yes Miss Cheerilee.” answered Straight A’s. As Lilac Sea was listening to Miss Cheerilee’s lecture, a little colt poked her flank with his horn. “Ow!” Lilac shouted as Miss Cheerilee turned to her class. “Lilac I should let you know we don’t shout in the classroom so for now I’ll let you off with a warning since this is your first day.” Miss Cheerilee said sternly. “Yes ma’am.” Lilac answered quietly as three colts snickered quietly as Straight A’s glared at them. Later the fillies and colts had lunch. “Aw. I forgot my lunch.” Lilac said in disappointment. Straight A’s smiled and walked up to Lilac Sea. “I’ll share my lunch with you if it makes you any better.” said Straight A’s as she gave one half of her Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich to Lilac Sea. “Thank you.” Lilac said as she took the given half from Straight A’s. “In fact I’ll sit with you.” Straight A’s said as she sat next to Lilac Sea. “That’s nice of you to do all this for me.” said Lilac Sea as she smiled. “Anything for a new student.” said Straight A’s as she smiled back. After lunch was spelling “May I have two volunteers come up to the board?” Miss Cheerilee asked to her students. Straight A’s and Lilac Sea both raised their hooves and Miss Cheerilee picked them. The two fillies went up to the board. “Spell the word cookie.” said Miss Cheerilee. “Miss Cheerilee I can’t spell very well.” Lilac Sea said worriedly. “Just do your best Lilac Sea.” Miss Cheerilee assured. And the two fillies were spelling the word cookie while one colt sneakily wrote a lowercase D on the board right next to the rest of the word. “I did it.” Straight A’s said with glee but then gasped at the misspelled word. Miss Cheerilee thought Lilac did this. “Just because you can’t spell very well doesn’t mean you can ruin it for Straight A’s. I think you’ll need some time in the thinking chair corner.” Miss Cheerilee said sternly. And Lilac sat there miserably in the thinking chair corner as she let out a big sigh. Straight A’s felt sorry for her. “Why is all this happening to her?” she thought. Just then she overheard the three colts who bullied Lilac, talking how their idea of getting Lilac into trouble had worked. “I knew those three colts were up to something.” Straight A’s said to herself. Later as all the fillies and colts were meeting up with their parents, Straight A’s saw the bullies. They were picking on Lilac Sea. “They can’t do that to her.” she said to herself and bravely went up to the bullies. “You ruthless ponies leave her alone!” Straight A’s said bravely. “Why should we!?!” one bully asked with a smirk on his face. “Because it’s not nice to pick on ponies who make mistakes.” Straight A’s said as Ian and Moondancer watched in amazement. “She did get into trouble earlier.” the second bully said. “The trouble that you three caused.” Straight A’s said severely. Miss Cheerilee ran to the scene of disaster. “What is going on here?” she asked in demand. “These three bullies have been picking on Lilac Sea all day.” Straight A’s answered. “Go on.” Miss Cheerilee said. “First I saw one of them poke his horn at Lilac’s flank, then as we were spelling cookie, another bully added an extra line to the C making it a lowercase D framing her for the mistake.” Straight A’s explained. “Now these three are bullying her for her mistakes.” Straight A’s added. Miss Cheerilee walked up to Lilac Sea. Lilac I’m sorry for thinking you were a bad egg.” Miss Cheerilee said with a sorry look on her face. “It’s fine.” said Lilac Sea as she hugged Miss Cheerilee. Then Miss Cheerilee turned to the three colts. “As for you three, a punishment is in order and an apology is needed.” Miss Cheerilee said sternly. Then Miss Cheerilee escorted the bullies into the schoolhouse as the bullies said sorry. “Thanks for standing right by me.” Lilac Sea said as she smiled. “Let’s be friends.” Straight A’s said happily. “Best friends.” said Lilac Sea. Then Straight A’s and Lilac Sea shared a hug. Straight A’s and Lilac Sea walked up to Ian and Moondancer. “Looks like you’ve finally made a friend.” Ian said with tears of joy. Lilac Sea introduced herself to Ian and Moondancer. “Can she come with us?” Straight A’s asked. “Of course she can.” Moondancer answered in agreement. And so for the rest of the afternoon, Straight A’s played with her new best friend until it was time for Lilac Sea to go home. “Bye Straight A’s.” said Lilac Sea as she hugged her. “Bye Lilac Sea.” said Straight A’s as she hugged her friend back. Then Lilac Sea went home with her parents as Straight A’s waved goodbye. The two friends promised to see each other from time to time on any day they wished. The End.
