That night Silver fell asleep before her head hit the pillows. Octavia looked in on her shortly after Silver had gone to her room and saw that her younger sister had fallen asleep with the largest smile Octavia had ever seen on her face.

"Sweet dreams little sister." Octavia whispered before closing the door to her sisters room.

It was the day that they had built new school playground, she remembered it because it was the day that the CMC's finally got their cutie marks.

Somepony had pushed her into the mud.

"Blank Flank." a voice said.

"What?" she replied looking up. All of her friends were pointing at her laughing and chanting. Calling her a blank flank.

"I'm not a blank flank i have my cutie mark" Silver Spoon cried, looking at her flank and noticing that her familiar cutie mark was missing. Even Di and Sweetie were laughing at her.

Silver Spoon began tossing and turning in her bed.

"Why would anypony want to be your friend? All you have ever been is bully." A voice said.

"No I've changed," Silver Spoon cried out,
"I'm trying to be a better pony."

Suddenly Silver Spoon found herself alone in a void of only darkness. Soon small lights began to wink into existence, stars! She recognized them as stars. One of the stars shone brighter than the others and was growing as it moved towards her. Slowly the star took the form of Princess Luna

"Calm child, I have watched you have this nightmare before." Princess Luna said trying to comfort Silver Spoon. Silver Spoon looked up at the navy blue princess of the night and wrapped her forelegs around her. She continued to cry as she nuzzled Luna.

"Princess, when I was younger i was mean to other ponies, now I don't have a special some pony to take to the Hearth's Warming Ball and i know its because of my past sins." Silver Spoon between sobs.

"My dear child, your past sins can only come back to haunt you if you allow them too. Trust me, I struggled with my past for several years before i let go of my sins." Luna said, "your past is not today."

"You think so?" Silver Spoon asked.

"I know so," Luna replied, "besides my niece wouldn't have you as one over best friends if you were a bad pony."

"I've been watching you for a long time Silver Spoon," Luna said, "if you were truly a bad pony you wouldn't have the friendships you have now."

Luna stomped on of her forelegs and the stars around them became a whirlpool of color and Silver Spoon felt like she was falling. When the sensation stopped she found herself looking into a familiar looking tree house. Inside were Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. They appeared to be arguing.

"Well if you're so smart why don't you have your cutie mark yet?" Scootaloo said to Sweetie Belle. That's when Silver Spoon noticed that the three crusaders had different cutie marks, and Sweetie Belle didn't have one at all.

"At least I know how to add!" Sweetie Belle yelled back. Silver Spoon let out a small gasp, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her friends would never fight like this. Before Silver Spoon could say something to Luna they were once again
falling through the whirlpool of color before the found themselves in the Castle of Friendship. Flurry Heart was crying and Twilight was trying to comfort her.

"I have no friends here Auntie Twily, I want to go home, why can't i be with mom and dad?" Flurry asked.

Silver Spoon snapped awake, she was back I her own bed room, the midmorning sun shone brightly through her bedroom windows. A blue Jay was perched on her window sill singing a song. She fumbled for her glasses.

"Ahh, she is awake." Silver Spoon heard her sister say, "come get some breakfast, there is somepony downstairs that wants to see you."

Silver Spoon brushed her mane and her tail before going down to the dining room. Seated at the table was Vinyl Scratch.

"Vinyl! How was Las Pegasus? I thought you were going to be there all week!" Silver Spoon exclaimed. Vinyl shook her head before signing that she had been able to get out of her gig early so that she could spend time with her family.

"And we have a surprise for you." Octavia said in a song song voice as her parents entered the dining room. Mother as always didn't look pleased to see Vinyl, however Father didn't seem to mind her presence, he even asked her how her morning was going.

"What is the surprise?" Silver Spoon asked, "A week long vacation for my friends and I in Law Pegasus?" her parents looked at her with looks of amusement and terror, they weren't quite ready to accept that their youngest daughter was quickly growing up.

"Not quite dear sister," Octavia said smiling while Vinyl choked down a laugh, " we're getting married!"

Author's Note

I had to take a break from this story to about a week. I hope the results were wort it. I wanted to deal with Silver Spoon and her past as a bully, this was the best way I could think of in the context of the story I am trying to tell. Next chapter Silver Spoon will find her special Somepony, I promise. I hope you are enjoying it so far and I look forward to any suggestions, feedback or ideas that you may have.
