Scootaloo's life was never easy. She was left orphaned and alone in the world, with no memory of her life before she was taken in by the ponies of Ponyville, but she has always been able to bounce back from anything. Even with a birth defect that makes it impossible for her to fly and having her eyes ripped out by a monster in the Everfree, the Element of Courage stands tall.
But an old enemy returns bearing a strange new power, and her courage will be put to the test when she is forced to fight those she loves. Seemingly immune to what is turning ponies into mindless slaves, the blind flightless pegasus and her new coltfriend Storm Shade are the last hope for Ponyville and maybe Equestria.
