The sun shined down across the land of Earth. Warming the backs of people far and wide as they go about and enjoy their day or work and look out the window and smile to see a nice day with the sun smiling back. A nice breeze blew through a man's hair as he slid his fingers through his golden hair that shined in the sun with a certain red gleam when the sun hit his hair in just the right spot. The day was quite warm with a breeze every now and then.
The man looked into the sky with bright blue eyes with a slight smile gracing his face, admiring the sight of the clear sky with the golden sun painted on a bright blue canvas. He heard a someone shiver next to him as he looked down to see a girl. He smiled down as she put her hands against her chest, shivering slightly as she cuddled up to the tall man. He wrapped an arm around her chuckling, as she looked up at him with a scowl making his smile grow. She quickly punched him in his chest making him laugh as she blushed slightly due to knowing what the man was thinking when she went to punch him.
After the burning in her cheeks faded away she pressed her face into his chest as she wrapped her arms into his leather jacket around his waist. She blew away a comb of blonde hair out of her face, only for it to fall back into place as she repeated the process before giving up and letting it sit there. They continued to walk a distance through a calm, serene park with trees and benches placed along the concrete sidewalk next to a muddy water river.
“Babe, how long have we been together?” the short girl asks the man.
“Why do ya ask?”
“I’m just wanting to know. We’ve been dating since high school and you're finally done with college and swimming. And I thought we could settle down after I’m done with college.”
“Well, to answer your question,” he says pulling his phone out flipping it around and turning it on from the side he saw the date and counted with his fingers. “It’s been about six years now?” he asks rhetorically looking down thinking in his head with a focused glare.
“I think you're close enough.” she said pulling his arm down bringing him down to kiss him on the cheek. “I can’t believe it's been that long. You think your parents would be proud of you now?”
“I have no doubt in my mind that they do. I just hope they’re both where they should be.” he says looking up into the sky with a sad smile on his lips. The girl tightened her grip on his arm making him look down as she beamed at him with a smile making him smile back and lean down to kiss her forehead. “I still can’t believe I have my little Lilly.” he said with a smirk flicking her nose.
“I can say the same about my little Cammy.” she said punching him in the chest again with a devious smile making him chuckle again not being affected by the punch still.
“So where to now babe?” Lilly asked Cameron as she took his hand in her left hand that was awkward and a bit smaller than her other hand as they both started walking together down the slender walkway, hand in hand.
“I was thinking of a little joy ride around the city, hows that sound?”
“Sounds like a good idea to me.” she said as they both turned around heading for their car.
Pressing down on the breaks softly the car came to a halt at a red light. A small white Grand AM waited for the light to turn green while the two people inside the car nodded their head to the beat of the song playing. They both sang along to the lyrics with Cameron able to hit the higher notes most boys couldn’t hit and Lilly able to get high and lower pitches.
“Do I look lonely, I see the shadows on my face. People have told me, I don't look the same. Maybe I’m lost mate. I'm playing hooky, with the best of the best…” they both sang together in sync as the light turned green as they sped up still singing.
“The death of a bachelor! Oh oh oh! Letting the waterfall. The death of a bachelor! Seem so fitting for, happy ever after oooooh!”
In that moment they were having so much fun with their cheeks hurting from smiling so much at each other when Cameron’s voice would crack when he tried to hit too high of a note even though he could get high enough for it, he loved to sound awful around Lilly just to make her smile. And the way he would jerk the car from going off the road back into their lane, made them feel like this was what life was meant to be like. Alway happy and content with how things are, how life will continue to be an act between less of pain and more to do with beauty. Not just beauty with the outer-self, but the inner-self more of.
Lilly chuckled as they came to yet another red light, and looked out the window as Cameron took his phone to scroll through his song list, looking up every other second. Lilly waved to a little girl waving at her wearing a blue dress holding a tall womans hand as she smiled at them both. But when she looked past them she saw something else.
Her eyes went wide as she stared at the large creature standing behind the little girl. Looking right at her. Lilly’s heart pounded in her chest as she reached for Cameron’s hand stuttering with her words.
The looked to be a humanoid creature that would be seen in a child's nightmares or in a horror movie. This thing had red tendrils for legs that were splayed and crossed all over the other tendrils. There were too many to count just by looking at them as her eyes wandered up to the chest part. The chest had almost completely exposed ribs with sharp ends looking to be meant for impaling something.
It had muscle covering the spinal cord but it had no skin, leaving it bare and as red as the tentacles. It’s arms seem to be as long as its body, almost being nine feet tall with bone like shoulder pads attached to its body with no straps at all. The arms had just been red halfway until the split in two blue mussel covered arms for each arm, giving it four arms in total, with sharp bone fingers waiting to carve out a person's heart at any moment. The head had muscle from the neck to the lower chin but a smooth skull, with not a single hole in it, covered whatever was beneath, if anything was even behind that thing.
Lilly finally grabbed Cameron’s hand as they began to drive away from the creature with the child tilting her head at Lilly’s scarred face. Before she looked away from the creature, the thing raised one of its arms fully and waved with both right hands, before she fainted.
Before Lilly came to, Cameron ran around the room like a chicken with his head cut off, trying to do ten things at once. Before he noticed Lilly was waking up and dropped down onto his knees beside her, grabbing her hand in his. He breathed heavily as a heavy, middle-aged man rushed over to put a cold, wet rag onto her head and handing Cameron a water bottle before stepping back.
“Lilly, baby, are you okay?” he asked whipping her head slowly with the rag as he opened the bottle of water and put it to her lips and tipped it slightly to let water slowly slide down her throat. “How are you feeling?” No answer.
“Lilly talk to me.” Cameron said as he lifted her chin up to look at him. Still no answer. Cameron turned to look at the big man behind him. “Can you give us a minute please?” he asked as the man nodded and pushed open a swinging door, walking out as it swung back in leaving the couple alone.
“Now will you tell me whats wrong? Please?” he asked with pleading eyes as Lilly looked up at him with her short blonde hair fall in front of her face before she looked back down.
Cameron sighed and put the lock of hair behind her ear and pulled her hands up to his chin moving them side to side along his short goatee as a way of comfort for Lilly. She smiled slightly scratching his goatee before her smile faded and the memory of the creature flashed in her mind making her shiver furiously.
“Baby, tell me what’s wrong.” Cameron said before Lilly looked away and then back to his soft icy blue eyes staring into her own hazel eyes. She breathed in slowly and let it out before she looked up at him fully.
“Will you believe me when I tell you what's wrong?” he nodded his head vigorously. “Okay, well, I saw this human, creature thing on the corner of a street.” Cameron stared at her not moving at all. “Before you say anything, I’m not crazy.” he smirked at her. “You know what I mean.” he nodded, motioning with his hand to continue. “It was like ten feet tall, had bones coming out of it and muscle, pure muscle with absolutely no skin. And it didn’t even have a face, just a bone mask, but it didn’t have any eye or nose holes.”
She finished her explanation before asking: “What happened to me?” Cameron stood up and handed her the bottle of water and said to sip the water slowly as he walked off. A few seconds later he came back in with a large fan and hooked it up to the wall facing her and turned it on. It sent a nice breeze to her face as Cameron walked back over to her and crouched down next to her.
“To answer your question, you fainted in the car due to heat. And you’ve been out for about half an hour. Once you passed out I drove to my buddies gas station that was down the street and ran you inside here and he took ya to the back in the office. Baby, what you saw wasn’t real. You were too hot and you must have started hallucinating. It’s a symptom you can get, you could have died Lilly.” he said choking on his words, grabbing Lilly’s hand with a tight grip looking at her with tears swelling in the corner of his eyes.
“I’m still here. And I’m not going anywhere.” she said cupping his cheek with her good right hand as he placed a hand on the hand that was on his cheek and tears started to fall from his eyes onto their hands. The door swung open and the fat man peeked his head in.
“Hey uh, dude? If you're all good to go could you go on out? You're not exactly able to be back here. But take your time.” he said quickly before ducking back out as the door swung in and out until it stopped closed.
“Are you feeling alright?” Cameron asked her as he wiped away the tears sniffling.
She nodded and he stood up quickly and took her hands and helped her slowly stand to her feet. She wobbled while walking to the door as Cameron held her back and her hand to keep her balance as they made their way to the door. They went out and passed a few people that were in line, slowly making their way outside and to the car while he helped her open the car door and sit down inside. Cameron shut the door and ran to the driver side and got in quickly helping her with her seat belt before doing his own and starting the car. The fat guy ran out waving his arm with a water bottle in hand and handed it to Cameron through the window and thanked him before the fat man walked back into the store.
After a few seconds Cameron turned to Lilly. “I think we should end the date and head home babe. I don’t want this happening again later today when we’re out on the big hill at night.”
“I’ll be fine Cameron. I’m just gonna keep drinking the water. Really, as long as you're there with me, I’ll be fine.” she said grabbing his hand. Cameron looked at her for several seconds and sighed bowing his head before looking up at her.
“Fine, but if anything, ANYTHING feels wrong you tell me. Promise?”
“Yes.”
“Say it.”
“I promise.”
“Good girl. Now let's go eat and then we’ll head up to the hill at around eight.” he said as she nodded while Cameron backed up and drove off to their next destination.
After about an hour of driving Cameron and Lilly arrived in a small little town a ways away from the city of Louisville. They had arrived at a restaurant that was mainly made up of seafood for their menu. Cameron chose to eat steak whenever he got the chance to while Lilly had lobster legs and a salad. They both shared a drink and fries together to save money.
Cameron laughed loudly as Lilly had just got done telling him about another thing her dad had done to annoy her like they always did. Lilly knew that Cameron and her father would bond by annoying her. While it was annoying to her at the time she loved it even afterward, it made her happy to see her boyfriend have fun and bond with her family.
After Cameron’s laughing subsided he took a sip of his sweet tea and finished his meal with a loud belch making Lilly blush and shake her head from embarrassment of her barbarian boyfriend. Cameron never cared what people thought about him unless it was people he knew or thought highly of. Lilly on the other hand did care most of the time and would say it didn’t matter but Cameron could tell when it bothered her.
“Here’s your check sir.” a waitress came up wearing a black and white suit with a black skirt white stockings handing him a black leather booklet and walked off with a nod of her head and smile. Cameron opened it up and his eyes went wide before he closed it and smiled at Lilly.
“How much is it?” she asked reaching for it before Cameron snatched it from her reach and set it beside him.
“Don’t worry about it. We’ll be fine.”
“How much?” she pushed on making Cameron sigh.
“Let’s just say I’ll have to work late for a few nights.” he said smiling meekly at her as he pulled out his wallet and put his debit card into the slot on the bottom. It was snatched from his hand from the same waitress as she walked away with it.
“Hmm, quick service.” he said looking across his shoulder at her.
“Baby, if you knew this was gonna be bad for us why’d you take us here?”
“I wanted to make this a special day instead of going to another fast food joint we always go to.” he said turning back to her with his head hung low. Lilly shook her head and smiled at him chuckling as she reached for his hand and gripped it tightly.
“Thank you, but I wouldn’t have minded eating somewhere cheaper. As long as you stay mine.”
“Of course. But I still wanted you to feel special.”
“Trust me. I do.” she said as she leaned closer to him as Cameron did the same. Their lips inched closer to each others slowly.
“Here’s your receipt and card sir!” a voice said at the end of the table making them both jump out of their skin. Cameron calms down first as he takes both in hand and thanks her as she walks away. He turns back to Lilly and smiles at her.
“So, ready to go?” he asks her as he stood up, holding out his hand for her as she smiled at him and took his hand.
She stood up and they walked out together with a smile on their face and a skip in their step. For now, they had the climax to their date coming up. They opened the door and saw the beautiful orange and maroon sky with the setting sun lowering beneath the Earth. They hopped into the car and drove off heading to their private location.
A few hours later the sun diminished behind the trees long ago as Cameron parked on top of a desolate hill with dense woods on both sides of them. Cameron turned the car off along with the headlights and unlocked the car stepping out and moving to the trunk he had popped before slamming the door closed. The trunk slowly lifted itself open for Cameron as a light turned on once fully open, illuminating the trunk inside as Cameron reached in and dug around till he found what he was searching for as he smiled grabbing it. He tucked it under his arm and slammed the trunk shut as he went back to the front where Lilly stood at the front of the car looking up into the starlit sky.
Cameron threw the large black blanket onto Lilly covering her figure but half of her legs. A few seconds later she roughly tries to pull the blanket off of her as she finally gets it off her several seconds after with her face being red and her hair ruffled up and floating up everywhere making him snort trying to hold in a laugh. Her face got even hotter as Cameron couldn’t hold it in any longer as he let out a loud laugh as he clutched his stomach. Lilly’s face went even brighter as she pulled her arm back and punched him in the chest as he grabbed her hand and brought her close to his chest as he continued to laugh.
Lilly sighed and cuddled into his chest as his laughing subsided slowly as crickets started to fill in the silence around them. Cameron grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around them both before picking her up by the waist and carried her over to the car and hopped onto the hood. They both got comfortable, cuddled up next to each other just sitting there, looking into the beautiful night sky. Cameron used to always come out at night with some freezing cold tea and just stare at the stars and moon with nothing but his shorts on and the cold night air to comfort him.
The sound of a twig snapping made their heads turn towards the direction it came from. The woods. Cameron pushed himself up with one arm and squinted his eyes looking into the woods to hopefully see what made a twig snap. Several seconds later something leaped out of the bush and Cameron let out a breath as Lilly yelped loudly.
A deer propelled itself forward out of the brush so eloquently and across the field and to the other side of the woods surrounding them without even glancing at them. Soon a few doe hopped across the field after their mother. One of them tripped and dropped to its knees before climbing back to its hooves. It shook itself clean and sneezed before it looked over at the two humans. Like a deer caught in headlights, the little doe stared at them with its ears pointed upwards before it licked its nose and hopped away to catch up with its family.
Cameron looked down at Lilly and with a cheeky smile, started laughing at her for being scared of just a herd of deer. Lilly blushed and looked away before she joined in on laughing at herself before they both cuddled back into each other. As they both looked into the sky, not knowing something from the right side of the woods where the deer ran into, stared at them through the pitch black cast above from the trees coverage of the moonlight.
Lilly jerked awake with half lidded eyes as she looked around before she looked down at Cameron cuddled up with his face pushed in between her breasts. He was snoring lightly making her smile at his sleeping face. They had spent 6 years together and they had gone through a lot she thought. And even though times are still tough, we can love each other just as much as we first did.
She leaned down and placed a kiss on his forehead before sighing as her hot breath and the cold air mixed and formed a small cloud before it floated away. Her eyes followed the cloud to her right before it evaporates into the air before her eyes focused on the dark woods.
Her face fell as her eyes fell upon a figure standing in the woods. She trembled as she reached over to shake Cameron before the figure stepped out into the light. Her scream was caught in her throat as she trembled violently trying to reach for Cameron, but she was frozen with fear. After a few seconds it took another step forward with its tentacles and shook Cameron awake before he jerked up violently, he looked at Lilly with a tired expression before he saw where she was pointing at and his eyes went wide. He brought his hands up to his eyes and rubbed them clear as he took another glance at the thing he saw in front of him.
He pushed himself off of the hood into the air before landing onto the ground with a thud of his boots. He turned towards the thing keeping his eyes glued on it as he glared over to its bare face. Lilly slowly crawled off of the hood and behind Cameron, still stricken with fear of what she was convinced to be an illusion.
“Y-y-you're seeing this too, r-right?” she asked trembling behind him stuttering on her words.
“What the hell is it?” he asked without taking his eyes off of it. Lilly knew he was as scared as she was, but he would never show it to anyone.
“That’s the thing I saw before. The thing you said was just an illusion from the heat.”
“Shit.” he cursed under his breath as he took a stance to make himself look intimidating. It didn’t seem to be working as the creature kept lurking forward.
In a split second the creature had moved out of their sight in the blink of an eye. Both humans swerved on their heels trying to look for the thing but found no sign of it. It vanished from the field without a trace of it. A loud bang came from the car behind them following three more loud bangs before a hissing sound came from the car barely even audible to them both. Cameron looked down and saw that the tires had been slashed and were now losing air quickly.
They both took a step back before the creature appeared in front of them without even a sound as Cameron and Lilly jumped before Cameron took Lilly’s hand in his making her drop the blanket and picked her up onto his back before he took off in the opposite direction of the creature with. He tried to run down the hill away from the creature and the woods but the thing appeared in front of him making him skid to a stop and turn around. He sprinted back to his car with Lilly grasping his shoulders, holding on for life or death as Cameron skid to a stop again furious and hot. Lilly looked over his shoulder to see the thing in front of them, just staring at them, swaying back and forth like it was toying with them.
Cameron looked at the creature’s face and glared at it with his mind racing, knowing he only had one option left. But he knew that’s what the creature wanted him to do. So he did the only thing he could. He smirked and grabbed Lilly’s thighs harder.
“You want us!? Come and get us!” he yelled before taking off into the woods without even looking back. Both of their hearts pounded in their chests, fear rushing into their systems making their adrenaline levels higher.
Cameron kept running without stopping or even looking back, but Lilly did. And she regret looking back because the thing was right in her face without faltering under any logs or roots that stuck out of the ground that Cameron leaped over. She screamed before a tentacle wrapped around her waist and pulled her free of Cameron’s back as she reached out, trying to grab him but she was already too far away to even hear him yell for her.
Cameron stopped in his tracks as he felt Lilly being yanked off of his back, her nails digging into his skin drawing blood as a loud scream rang in his ears before there was nothing.
He spun on his heel and reached into the air for nothing. “Lilly!!!!” he yelled as he started to run in the direction she was pulled off of him. He ran and ran and ran but found nothing, he couldn’t even hear if Lilly was screaming for him. Nothing but trees and darkness surrounding him. But he kept running, nothing would stop him from finding her, nothing.
A branch swung out from a tree and strike his forehead with seemingly greater force than it should have knocking him off his feet and land onto the ground with an oomph. He wearily tried to push himself to a sitting position before something else hit him again, knocking him back to the ground as he everything turned into darkness.
Lilly tried to scream out for Cameron but she could only scream behind the tentacle wrapped around her head, covering her mouth. She couldn’t see where she was going as she was thrown onto the things shoulders with her arms and legs pinned to her body. All she could see was the tentacles moving behind it as it ran through the forest. It’s arms were just sitting at its sides as it ran, its body didn’t even move as it ran, she was completely held still with only the tentacles moving.
Several minutes later she gave up on trying to wiggle free before she noticed that they weren’t moving anymore. She felt the thing lift its arm she was laying on and then something hitting the ground. It sounded too loud to be an animal, and she didn’t even see any animals behind her while the thing was running. So what could it be?
She felt the thing quickly move its body down and its arm moved quickly before it came back to rest at its side. The tentacles still wrapped around her body and came off of its body and regenerated quickly in just a second as she fell to the ground. She was caught mid-fall and set down more gentle than she thought the creature would be. When her skin felt the cold ground she peeked a glance at the creature standing above her, but it's attention was somewhere else. Slowly, her head turned to where the creature was looking at and saw the last thing she wanted to see.
Her face fell into a horrified look while her face went paler than it already was with her eyes falling upon the body of a muscled man. A body she could recognize, even with the head face down in the mud, was the body of a man she loved, was now dead. And so she wept, her tears streamed down her face as she moaned out for the death of her love.
Her moans died quickly as she saw the creature starting to reach for its chest before its hand moved enough to see that the thing now held an orange vile of liquid in one hand and a thick black liquid in the other, on the same arm. He cocked the cork off of both potions with his other hands and reached out and tipped the black liquid vial over and it slowly seeped out and spilled off the edge of the bottle. It crawled onto Cameron’s head and covered his entire face and hair with the mysterious liquid before he started pouring the orange liquid on her.
She started to feel woozy and tired as she slowly drifted off into slumber. But not before seeing the creature poor some of the orange liquid over Cameron’s body as well before she couldn’t fight the urge to close her eyes as she finally fell into a deep sleep. But not before hearing the sickening sound of bones cracking throughout the air as she could barely see his body twisting and conversing on the ground.
“Isn’t it lovely around this time of year darling?” a woman’s voice that sounded muffled came from afar.
“It is dear, but I don’t see why we had to come out to t-this forest.” a man’s voice followed afterwards sounding a bit closer and a little more clearer.
“Oh, don’t be such a sour puss, nothing’s going to happen. I was told that the forest isn’t as bad as it usually is around now. Besides, we’ve come this far haven’t we?” the woman’s voice said as it was very close and clear than it was before.
Lilly’s eyes slowly opened up to a blurry green scenery surrounding her, with her head laying on a big root sticking out of the ground. She tried to push herself up but her body felt numb and like it was pushed through a small hole and forced out the other side. She tried to remember how she got into a forest but her mind was hazy and it was on the tip of her tongue but she couldn’t quite get it out. She would have growled but her lungs and throat burned with an itchy sensation for some reason that made her question what had happened to her the night before.
Her eyes fluttered and blinked the tiredness out of her eyes seeing the forest more clearly. The numbness in her body agonizingly slowly, faded away until she could finally start feeling her muscles after several minutes of laying on the ground. Not even the voices were around anymore so she thought it would be pointless to try and look for the two people that she had her not moments ago. So she got to her feet with restriction to her movements, still not completely free from whatever happened to her. What she wouldn’t give to have Cameron here right now, is what was going through her mind at the moment while she looked around.
A few seconds later she gasped and memories from last night flooded her mind and thoughts. She remembered everything that happened, the creature, the forest she was in… Cameron getting beat to the ground. Even the liquid the creature poured on her and Cameron flashed in her head. After remembering everything that happened she broke, she crumbled to the ground wailing loudly. She was lost, afraid, and just wanting to go home with her boyfriend. But she knew she couldn’t, for all she knows his corpse could be lying in a ditch somewhere in the forest. The creature could be out killing other people. But if the thing left her alive then the thing must have left Cameron alive she thought to herself. Or maybe it just killed him and dragged her off somewhere else far away from any towns or cities, and left her to die on her own, knowing I wouldn’t make it.
All these thoughts ran through Lilly’s head at light speed as she continued to weep on her knees. Her head jerked over to the sound of a twig snapping to her left. She quickly got onto her feet to run and dive into a nearby bush. Her heart was racing in her chest faster than the night before. Cameron wasn’t here to protect her, and that creature could have just left her here to come back later and finish her off.
A few moments later a bush started to shake violently in front of her. She leaned back away, trying to get away from the shaking bush as far as she could without being seen or heard. She tried to calm her breathing but it only grew worse in the few seconds that the bush shook, before something came out of it. But she never saw it, she turned and ran too quickly to see a small white bunny hop out of the bush and wiggle its nose before it hopped away.
Lilly ran as fast as her legs could take her, jumping over roots, logs and ducking under branches, trying not to look behind her. She did just that, when she turned next to a tree, still running, she turned her head quickly and saw something that made her adrenaline rush higher than it already was. It was a big black shadow that seemed to be hunched over and running on all fours along the ground. It was hard for Lilly to make out any other features of the thing before she turned back around and tried to run even faster. Not a second after looking back in front of her she saw a light flash from out of the canopy of dark greenery in front of her. With a new purpose, she boosted herself forward as fast as she could, panting and heaving to get out to the light.
Her foot got caught on a root sticking out of the ground, making her soar through the air. And while she was in the air she noticed she was going towards the opening in the forest. Lilly was able to put her arms out in front of her face before she crashed into the branches and leaves, pushing them aside like nothing with the momentum she had. Her body flew out the other end and fell onto the ground with a loud thud as she skidded along the green grass before stopping several feet away from the edge of the forest. She quickly got to her hands and knees looking into the dark forest, hoping to see what was following her. She waited several seconds and nothing came out. Starting to get to her feet she tried to wipe off the green stains on her jeans and shirt, but her attempt failed.
Suddenly a low growl came from the forest making Lilly flinch and step back. Her adrenaline kicked back in as her body froze in place with her eyes wide, staring into the forest. She couldn’t make her body move, all she could do was shake before two blood red eyes came from the darkness of the forest. They started to move closer before they stopped at the edge of where the sunlight shined through the forest and touched the ground. Almost as if, it was afraid of the sunlight, afraid to show itself. The thing growled again before it ran back into the forest. After everything happening, and all the cuts on her arms, legs, and chest bleeding out as she was running. Lilly’s mind couldn’t take anymore as she fell to the ground losing consciousness very quickly. The last thing she saw were buildings off in the distance that had hay rooftops and a big crystal building in the back resembling a tree. And a big brown bea walking up to her before her mind went blank.
Lilly noticed a very warm and soft feeling aginst her side as she opened her eyes to see what seemed to be a cottage, but it was in the groudn covered by grass, only showing a few windows and a door aith many animals standing outside the door. As whatever was carrying her continued to walk, they went through the door of the small cottage.
“That’s right, gently now. Put it down on the couch very gently, we don’t wanna hurt it now, do we?” a voice said beside her. She didn’t know who it was or where she was. All she knew was that she was tired and that whatever she was being laid down on was very soft and inviting. So she did the next thing that came to mind. Sleep. So her mind drifted off to sleep before hearing one last thing.
“Thank you Mr. Bear, now we…” she heard before she lost the control to keep awake before she drifted off into the dream land.
Lilly’s eyes wearily blinked open, everything in front of her just an unknown blurry object. She wanted to push herself up from where she was but her body was in searing pain for some reason. She had no energy on top of that with her body aching like she had just finished with a serious workout at the gym. She could at least use her hand to rub her eyes and blink enough to be able to make out her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was her arm, it was bandaged up with white strips of paper. Really soft paper. Then she realized when she forced her head to look down at the rest of her body, that most of her body was covered in not soft paper, but bandages.
With her memories returning to her once again today, she gasped as she remembered running out of the forest she was in from something. And the night Cameron was knocked out and she was kidnapped. With these thoughts, her shield of protection from all of the events she’s been through broke. She wept, loud and hard. She didn’t know where she was, she didn’t know what was happening, and most importantly, she didn’t know where her beloved Cameron was either.
All of a sudden a voice announced itself from another room. “Oh no, I think it's awake.” a soft, sweet voice said as the sound of what seemed to be hoofsteps followed suite after.
“Do you think she’ll be alright?” a deep voice of a mans spoke afterwards. A few seconds later the steps got louder and closer to her before around the corner came two figures.
One was a small little butter yellow horse with a pink mane and tail for some reason. While the other, a human male that was even taller than Cameron, walked in with long blonde hair walked in with mismatched eyes. One emerald green, the other, crimson red. The man continued to walk to Lilly before he crouched down next to her face and smiled.
“Don’t be scared miss. Your safe here.” the little butter cream colored horse said with the soft, sweet voice she had heard in the other room. Rhe horse wasn't a horse at all, but a pegasus. It had wings on its back that was folded against it's back. Her pupils shrunk to pinpricks as she spoke before the human man had waved his hand in front of Lilly’s face as she was still stunned by the talking horse.
“My name’s Coal Buck. That right there is Fluttershy. Welcome to Equestria.” he said smirking as Lilly’s mouth dropped to the ground before she fainted once again.

Hey everyone! This is my very first story and I'm new on this site! I have a close friend that had told me of this site and decided to try it out and have loved it ever since. If you need any hne;p with life or writing I recommend going to Swift Wolf Blade for any help. First let me tell you a few things that you might need to know. One, this is going to be a crossover between My Second Life by Coal Buck. And another story you will find out later on. But with this story it is only recommended to read this story, it is not required but some things may be confusing at first for the character. I will describe things to what had happened and all that fun stuff but again, it is recommended. And also, the pictures and some of these characters are not mine and belong to the artist/author. but with that, I bid you ado and please, tell my some things I could do to become better.
